I said "Left Final" today and my CFI laughed at me, shook his head and told me not to do that. Thanks for the inspiration! Im almost done with private, on to tailwheel next then learning to fly my model 4 El Zorro!
@Tucker Gott are you planning on selling your paramotor and buying one of these? I'm having a hard time trying to choose which is more fun: Paramotoring or Bush flying! =D
Flying with a bunch of like minded friends, camping 🏕 under the wing & a BBQ, does it get any better than that? You’re living the dream boys, outstanding video. A fan from 🇦🇺 Downunder.
I bet this would be a bit harder to do in Aussieland with all these dangerous critters you have running, jumping and crawling around. Not that it would stop a thoroughbred Aussie to do it anyway, i'd presume 😜
If this video doesn't create at LEAST 10,000 new pilots in the coming years, I don't know what will! Absolutely AWESOME, Trent! Was a blast to watch!! THANKS!! 👍😎👍🍻
@trent palmer. Just a FYI Trent iv followed you for over a year now and you have reignited my passion for flying. Currently on my 7th trainng flight out of KFGU collegdale tn. Iv been trying to get in 2 or 3 lessons a week and in love with it. Today we did power on and power off stalls and flew the pattern just wanted to say thank you for pushing me back towards my goals and I'm loving every second of it.
Watching your crew laze along, dodging terrain, makes me miss flying in Vietnam. Given a single ship mission for our crew and aircraft (UH-1H), we would have the freedom to choose our altitude. Fifteen hundred or on the deck. Very few rules. Well a few like physics and an accurate ETA. If I had discovered this type of adventure flying after the military, my life would have completely different.
Thank you Trent Palmer. It’s because of people like you why we love aviation so much. Continue sharing your journey, we’re inspired. This is Leso from South Africa.
Great video Trent. I know some of you guys fly often together, but once in a while it will be worth adding a little description of the other planes (make and model). Although on this particular video they're mostly foxes. Btw, it always amazes me the banking angle that the Cub can develop.
🔥❤️😎For the love of aviation, camping, and fellowship... breaking the bounds of Earth, partaking in and sharing the majesty of our world from a perspective we normally don’t get... ❤️🔥👍😎 Thank you Trent.
Man I escape life for 20 minutes or so when I sit back and relax and watch you guys have all the fun. Nice flying as your copilot albeit via GoPro. Regards from South Africa.
Trent - amazing video... again. I learned to fly when I was in high school with a couple of other buddies, everytime I watch one of your videos, it brings back amazing memories! Keep it up!
Whatever support you are getting from Kitfox, it's worth it (and not enough), because you make these planes look like the most fun you can have in this world.
I'm mindblown at how quick these planes get up to flight speed, especially Trents ride. Taking off in a few dozen yards (maybe less). Looks like a blast but it's also obvious these guys are pretty talented
Trent, thank you so very much. Why you may wonder? Because your channel was the first aircraft video blog channel I watched, and still is my favorite. It’s a pleasure to sit back and relax while watching you and your group of friends playing in the sky together. I’ll never get to do what you all are doing, but through your efforts to video tape the fun, your viewers can go along for the ride. So as I said before, “Thanks Trent and friends!”
Trent, those are drag racing rear tires, most likely from a rail or funny car. The wheels looked like the brand “Weld” made in Kansas City. Drag racing rear tires are built to run at very low pressure on a bead lock wheel. Under 10 psi in those giant tire! The sidewalls are made to deform to aid traction which transfers nicely to absorbing the impact of bush plane landing. Best of all you can get the tires FREE from drag racing teams! The tires only last 5-6 runs before they start losing grip but have plenty of rubber left. Buy a set of wheels with custom bolt pattern to fit your hubs, mount up some free tires and float down the Green River in style!
Also, I’ve been watching all your vids and I’m caught up now. Watching them has re ignited my love for flying! I’m doing my ground for written now, then I’ll be finishing up my flight training in a dragger here in the mountains. I’m so excited, keep the vids coming!
Over here in Connecticut, we are finally enjoying a warm day as well! 56° mid February! I’ve been having much better flights since you helped me fix my radio issue!
@@SmittySmithsonite yup. 65° and sunny on Saturday. Actually took the motorcycle out. Then we got another 6 inches of snow yesterday, another inch last night, and it’s 19° out today. You gotta love New England! 🤣
The pilot community looks amazing…much like everyone is out riding motorcycles on the trails(not so much the track), everyone is brothers and the moment you meet your almost instantly friends ready to help each other…love it and can’t wait to fly one day and experience exploration from above and the warmth of embracing that brotherhood…
HOLY CRAP! Bush flying just for fun and plenty of it. Thank you Trent. This pretty much makes up for the last two years. Is Nick flying his own plane now? It looks like he is walking perfectly now. Be sure to say hi to Haley for me. Thanks again, Gary
This is a beautiful video, Trent. You are fortunate to live where so much of the land and sky is your playground. I've been in a funk because I haven't been able to fly for months. This video reignited that spark. Thank you!
This video is one of my favorites that you have done. If anyone ever has any questions as to what TD back country flying is all about, this video answers it. Really nice job.
Hey Trent, FWIW, it looks like the tires on Kieth’s plane are Sprint Car tires and wheels. The only reason I know is due to living in south central Indiana. Every Friday night on the south side of town is a serious Sprint Car race. I have never been, but it is easy to see the cars around town. Safe flights!
Flordia is not flat , if memory serves me they have a mountain peak that is 79 feet above sea level. Lollolol I am looking out my window at the Sierras Nevadas right now. They don't have a lot of flat areas but it is easy to turn down hill and land in the desert to the east or valley to the west . If your flight planning was good.
Pretty sure those are hoosier dirt track tires for things like stock car dirt circle track racing. Thats sweet. That's why experimental is the best. A continuous loop of testing.
Do you know how hard it is to find a Kitfox now because of you! hahahaha. I can't wait to be able to come play some day soon hopefully!! SUCH a GREAT Video! Thanks @trentpalmer
Trent I love it when you go to Red bluff being born and raised in Red bluff and watching where you guys fly brings back memories and when I was younger exploring the areas on my motorcycles God bless you all stay strong warriors
When I soloed a C-150 back before we landed on the Moon, I never thought I would see the day when pilots would have the freedom to do this. Even today, a C-152 is considered a few pounds too heavy to do stuff like this. I wish I was much younger. I still have the mojo to do this kind of flying but I just don't have the opportunity today. I'm jealous of you guys.
Ahhh! I missed all this flying fun. So nice that you share and let us be a part of some delightful flying and airplane viewing. Can't get enough, thank you!
Those uphill landings just seem like they would be extraordinarily difficult. Having just enough energy to match the rising of the terrain without carrying so much that you float. Sounds like quite the balancing act. Great video Trent!
Always a pleasure to watch your videos. I’m from Reno myself, and if you ever want a copilot and I’m in the area it would be a pleasure to fly with you. Stay safe, and keep up the great videos!
My oldest brother lives in Redding. I gotta get out and visit him soon. He'll be 84 next month. Glad everyone came back safe. You all did some pretty difficult landings.
I've been flying your plane in FS2020, the proper one you worked with the team to make.
