I’ve got one for you. I was stooped down looking at my beloved Tupperware and some lady reached in from above and the side and snatched my favorite pieces. Outrageous and unacceptable behavior.

Told this story the other day on CWP. Seller at a yard sale gave me a $20 price, I said yes, dude behind me says I'll give you $25. Seller honored our deal, thankfully, but that dude needed a good smack

Shopping for treasures is so much fun, it is sad that some get that greedy and act like animals fighting for scraps of food. What a miserable life they must live.

Sellers that print out screenshots of items "For Sale" on eBay and put it under their same items they are selling. I always try to educate them that they need to print out "Sold" prices..... "I know what I've got!"
One we hate that we saw in Arkansas is people actually go knock on the door we'll before the sale is open to see if they can buy stuff early - absolutely disgusting
I have to share this story. 6 neighborhood ladies have a garage sale. We have rear entry garages. A van comes down the alley and about 10 Hispanics get out including small children. They don’t buy anything and get in their van. About 10 minutes later we find a 4 year old girl playing with the toys. She’s alone and doesn’t speak English. One of the sale ladies tries to speak to her to no avail. Finally we decide to call 911. The family has left one of their little girls at the sale. Before the police arrived but at least 20 minutes later the family comes back to the sale to look for her. Yes they found her and was reunited with her family. The mother is hitting the father with her purse. Finally they ALL get in the van and leave. Never would I have imagined that something like this could happen.
First yard sale of 2023, I was digging in a box of wrestlers and already had a pile beside me pulled out. This guy’s kid kept trying to get into my pile. I was nice and told him those were mine and pointed him to another box. Meanwhile guy leans over into the box and starts digging. I looked him square in the eyes and gave him “the look”. He got his kid and immediately left. Spun gravel and everything. I never said one word to him, just gave him the look! I bought the entire box.
I get annoyed with the ones that follow you around, looking at you to see what you are looking at and try to grab everything ahead of you. Most times I leave, as too frustrating.

Tracy and I were at an Private Estate Sale, and Tracy asked how much the cost for clothes, which the woman says $1.00 a piece, Tracy found like about 20 items, I found a few more expensive items that were really cool. So we get up to the front to pay and the woman goes, "oh we can't do that one for $1.00 and we can't do that one for $1.00...." and so one. Tracy got so made she literally dropped all the items and said "F(Bleep) That I'm Outta Here" - now I am behind her with a bunch of stuff to which I just put them down and we left. Worst Experience Yet. We still haven't gone to any of her Estate Sales.
This happened over twenty years ago but I still fume when I think about it.
I found a bike for my son at a flea market. I walked a few feet to the wife seller and asked the price. She told me $20 and I paid her but when I turned around a guy had overheard the price and wheeled the bike to the husband seller and paid him the $20. The wife said Sorry, and paid me back. Later, I found the bike for sale at another stall for $40. The guy just smiled when he saw me...
It must be a Harrisburg thing😂😂😂. The guy that reached in front of me and grabbed a pair of pants I had set down just to check the size of another, was in Harrisburg (I posted about it in Reseller Watercooler) when I told my son about it, in the car, he was ready to jump out & punch the guy (the guy messed with his mama!). I literally said, “I’m sorry that’s mine” as he still continues to walk…”Sir, that’s mine” he asked, “did you pay for them” “no, I JUST set them down IN FRONT of me to check these” “well, then they’re not yours. Hey!(he yells to the lady running the sale) I’ll give you $20 instead of the $2 SHE was gonna pay(which is what they priced them at)” ruined the rest of my day!
OMG, you guys crack me up. I so enjoy your banter and comments. I agree totally about the parking issue. My favorite one is the person that can’t parallel park and they end up leaving the car half way in the road making it impossible to get around. Makes me crazy!
The ones that driveme crazy are the early birds, that are there an hour before the sale starts, them being early doesn't bother me, bet the ones who knock on the person's door at exactly the time the sale is supposed to start, it is te same people that do all the rest of the things on your list to i have noticed. Another fun video.
I had a deal breaker at an estate sale. I took the item with me and said let me think about it. I looked around for a little longer and when the original lady was distracted I made a deal with the other lady for less. As I was walking out I waved at the lady who was trying to step into my deal. Well is it waving if you only use one finger? haha

The bins behavior! Woman did this to me at your local GW. I called her out on it, she did give me the "not longaberger" basket she took right out from under me. That's cool, its one from a small artists group in Vermont! Yes indeed I brought it home.
Sometimes ya gotta call it out. I think people get zoned in and forget to behave some days.
I just started this resell adventure, and this weekends experience was horrible. I was looking at some video game items, and the gentleman came right up and prettt much shoved me completely out of the way and proceeded to harass the lady on her prices. By the way, i let him have a piece of my mind.
Video game guys are the worst!

Irish spring doesn't work very well. Have a 6000 sf organic garden. Best thing is liquid fish. Have to reapply after rain. Its smell creates predator prey situation.

Living in the country parking is always a hard decision. Especially when you have a sign at the end of a long driveway, do you pull in, do you walk up, is there even a sale??? I guess in a sub or city the driveway is out. But not where I live.
My wife and I call this “Junk Drunk”.

My parents did flea markets and yardsales for years. I have also done years of yardsales & thrifting before going online, so I have a unique perspective. I must say, the behavior of people has really turned me off completely. The adult toddler behavior is astonishing but not to be out done is the greed & selfishness. I find very few UA-camrs who do yardsales videos that I can actually watch. I understand the value of recognizing a deal & getting it but some people are shameless. I watched someone go to a church yardsale, which was donation only. They picked out about $300 worth of books & Bibles only to give a miniscule amount. I haven't been able to watch the person since.
My biggest inappropriate garage sale behavior was leveled against the seller at the sale actually, but it was my fault, really.
I saw a plastic bag of 10 sealed casette tapes for a camcorder priced at $20. Agreed to the purchase, - i felt i had bought it- but hadn't paid yet. I was being friendly to the seller and showed them how to determine value of an object by looking it up on eBay. Turns out they were worth $28 each
Immediately she grabbed them out of my hands and refused to sell them to me even though we agreed on the deal. Morale of the story, don't educate the seller. Or at least pay first.

The only driveway parking is to load up a heavy piece..In and out.

I am born and raised southern California (actually second generation southern california) and if I had acted like that in any situation, my grandparents would have ripped me a new one (without hitting or yelling - they could do it with a word or a look!). And if my kids or now my grandchild acted like that - life as they know it would end!! We aren't all arseholes out here. In fact, so many of the ones who give us a bad name moved here from other places and don't bother to know their neighbors or community. But, I think they would probably be rude no matter where they lived. ((This is not said in a bad way or like I am offended by what you said - I totally understand. In fact, I think the same way about many of the 'new' californians!))
It's all ego and lack of awareness! People have no regard for others... most people don't think further than themselves. Unaware of others wants, needs and feelings. Plus, there are some that just don't have manners, etiquette or social skills. Some people just don't know how to behave! And many don't care. Just say'n! 😉
Most offenses, tell the people running the sale and they'll put it to a stop.
I've done the second, reach around. I get tunnel vision, when I come out I apologize and ask before I take off. I'm not aggressive about much tho.
Driveway makes me mad LOL. I don't even like parking in front of a sign. Yes there are exceptions.
Think we've all been in the zone at one time or another and forgot our manners. Most of us find them quickly enough once we realize what we did.
