So I bought a 2022 version of this guitar, and it played amazingly. I thought if this plays this good the Gibson les paul standard must really be great. So I went to trade for a Gibson, and having played a few of the Gibsons, which by the way were great guitars, I came back home with my ebony custom. The Epiphone plays and feels as good as the $2700 Gibson. I love, love, love this guitar.

But my other guitars don’t have this problem and I haven’t really done set ups on them. Is that normal to have feet buzz out of the box (a few high/low frets when testing with a straight edge). Can you tell me how much is the weight of that guitar? My PRS 35th Anniversary weighs around 3.6 kg, I fear this one is much heavier? Thanks for an answer. I tried the Epiphone standard 50s and that weight (I could not measure) was way too heavy for me. So if you also know the weight of this guitar in comparison to the custom model it would help me a lot. Or is it also possible that the same guitar weighs differently because each one has been built from a different wooden block? Thx for an answer

Visually very pleasing guitar but if you are used to 25,5" scale guitars (especially with floyd), 24,75" with tom bridge will make you struggle "alot", by mean alot, i really mean alot. @PaulSter 2 роки тому +3

Yup, that would be more 'period correct', but I think Epis audience is often younger players, and the thinner, flatter neck fits smaller hands better, and the guitar plays faster (i.e., faster) for the modern styles.

bought a custom pro, exact same colour, firstly I bought brand new 1 from Canterbury music on reverb but they sent me a custom,(no coil tapping,MIC very high action,it just didn't feel right)🤔, I contacted the company,to which I got this answer to this question,
how did you send me the wrong guitar?
Company:"it says Custom Pro on his invoice it's definitely a pro & epiphone discontinued Customs,🤔(wtf?) the customs retail more than custom Pro!"again 🤔(wtf?). that's when I lost interest & said it's getting sent back.
Here's my theory, before i purchase I asked could he throw in a set of strings,he forgot to put them in with the guitar?? so sent them separate, that made me think he's not got the guitar in store & ordering it in 3rd party & I think he was hoping I knew nothing about guitars and try to Palm me off with a custom, the only difference is the word Pro,& the push & pull knobs.i ended up finding a used mint custom Pro for £50 cheaper on eBay, and I was really lucky, she plays beautiful and literally find it difficult to put down after I pick it up, I absolutely love it,my only quibble is the headstock, I prefer the Kalamazoo shape but that is really not a big deal for first guitar, mine was made in Indonesia & read somewhere if Indonesia,Korea being a slightly better Q.C set up.
So I guess This was meant to be,as I ended up with a keeper.lucky as buying online can be a minefield, I was told to go to a store try before buy,but CV19 quashed that idea.

Always thought the ESP Edwards E- lp LTC guitars in lacquer from japan were a much much better value, or even some of the higher-end Chibsons on eBay and aliexpress. At least compared to Epiphone....
