9:27 The idea of Armstrong going to Ed's room and punching him to the floor because he's drunk...I love it.
Alchohol Pro *hic* lems have been pssed down the Armstrong *hic* famillly fr gnarations
Armstrong was probably not into anything when he apologized to Mustang. He looked legitimately shocked, sad and angry.
He definitely was acting when he broke Edward's arm though.
Yep. He apologised because it was expected of him due to being Maria's superior officer. However it was clear the apology was insincere and he was furious with Mustang.
yup he is mad with mustang regarding the Ross and his apology are only superficial due to him be higher rank.
The Edward broken arm thing was staged by Armstrong due to Mustang ordered to bring Edward covertly and using his need to repair his broken automail as a rused to fool higher up watching those brother. He still piss off with Mustang but still followed order as he is soldier.
Not only the way his face was animated but what he said. He only exauted her qualities, showing how much he liked her, and he looked like he was holding of not to beat the crap out of Mustang.
'broke'
@@highdefinition450 imagine correcting a 4 year old comment. Your life is sad.
In one episode, the writers manage to turn everyone against Mustang
The Master seriously? it wasn't obvious to you the first time that he didn't kill her?
Ali BabaAhmed honestly. for most of us, no
Double A Animations no wonder... And it's a surprise to me considering how it was obvious to me yet I'm not so good at predictions in Attack on Titan.
Ali BabaAhmed I was 13. I was only there for the story. I generally don't notice stuff till I rewatch. also, the story is so well crafted you can get sucked into it if you solely concentrate on it, also the animax ad for this show was mindblowing, you went in expecting to immerse in the story. I remember crying for a week because I was watching the animax dub airing. I can understand why so many people won't find it obvious. As for Eric, he wasn't interested in the series till the Bradely vs Greed episode so I noticed he was looking for background infos and clues. I can see why he figured it out so fast.
Double A Animations I guess it makes sense that you didn't notice at 13, cause for me I wasn't that analytical at that age. But I just suspected that a lot of fans would've watched this at 15 or around that.
At the beginning of the episode, them: "Maybe Ling is a Homunculus!"
Me: *chokes on water* Oh god...
Same lol
Yeah, I freaking hated Mustang after watching this episode. I was heartbroken. He was my favorite character, and I just watched him roast an innocent woman. Definitely had more of an emotional impact on me, compared to you guys.
I felt the same :(
keep watching you might love mustang again trust me
Final Account you mean Maria Roast him... :3 I am not ashamed
have u watch the whole series?
lol he got us all thinking he killed ross
The guys were asking about Mustang's Alchemy, and I know they don't normally read comments, but his Alchemy isn't really touched on in this series, but it was explained in depth in the first. His gloves function basically as flint to spark a flame, while his actual Alchemy completely restructures the oxygen cells in the air leading to his target. It makes the air between him and his target into pure oxygen, which is extremely flammable. One spark ignites the entire thing. He can control the oxygen density around anything, therefore preventing other things from burning around his target. He can burn any specific target that he knows is there, without much collateral damage... Or as much collateral damage as he wants, it depends on the goal.
Mustang can control the fire, they aren't random explosions. He can make the fire go in whatever direction he wants it to go.
+Tomas Roque The show itself doesn't explain that (or really show it) for a long time though. EP53 & EP54 to be exact.
Thats why im explaining it to them
Screw your profile picture. I thought it was a legit fly for a second.
“Maybe he’s pride?”
Laughs maniacally
Kraddaku To Tell you the truth, I actually speculated similarly when I first saw the series. Mustang does display both pride/arrogance at times, or rather often, I must say.
Been looking forward to this. This string of episodes is just amazing.
Yeah, sadly it ends on episode 64
Later, the truth about the Maria Ross will be revealed, but when I originally saw this, I was just furious with Mustang!
Actually, when it comes to having an alibi, friends and family are often times unreliable. Even if you truthfully were spending the day with your parents, it's reasonable to assume that personal contacts will lie to protect you. Impartial parties are the most reliable.
Shane speaks with his facial expressions
My daughter HATED Mustang after this ep. She was SO angry! I was suppose to get her to bed, but we "had" to watch one more ep because I diden't want her to keep hating my favorite character 😉 lol!
I just realised if you squint hard enough my icon is a spoiler
XD
ling turning into a bad guy?
I know Shane is the least participative, and I have no problem with that, he's a kind of naive audience that can be related by a lot of viewers, but I hate every time he is talking or will talk and is interrupted, usually by Calvin and sometimes by Eric, I would personally be pissed on being interrupted so much, but he takes it like a man, I will start compiling the times that Shane was interrupted :(
lol the asian dude literally is clueless in every video.
hes like the dude with the extended math course in high school cause he doesnt learn as fast as others
+Siegfried Black That is rude and I disagree.
And you did call him "the less useful" and that he sells out, so that is a pretty personal implication on his character. So I don't think you can say you made a comment without "calling somebody else names".
Just wanted to add something . I'd say there isn't just one way to participate. Some people listen more than they speak, add to the conversation in different ways. I have seen him add valuable comments, but some people just seem to have it more difficult than others to integrate into the flow of a discussion.
Or maybe some just prefer listening and possibly don't even mind being cut off from time to time because of that.
I haven't noticed it as much as some of you guys, which might mean that I'm less observant. But there always is the danger that you judge singular occurences as evidence of a general trend you believe to have noticed some time earlier (I think it's called confirmation bias).
Just wanted to make sure you don't overestimate the commonness of it happening simply because you feel for him - which I like, and respect :)
He called your comment douchy, not you as a person. I think that is a little different. Nice people can do mean things from time to time (and reverse). Your critic judged your action, not your character
I totally disagree thou, I miss him every video he is not into for some reason, he is the funniest of the four, and while he doesn't theorize like Calvin or Eric, I feel that he is essential to the group.
Few things in this series compare to Armstrong "apologising" about his subordinate's actions, whilst shaking with fury because he know she was innocent. We all know what actually happened, but in that instant it was genuine.
I think Mustang's powers were explained in one of the early episodes (2 maybe?). He uses the transmutation circle on his gloves to control the distribution of oxygen in the air. The ignition gloves create a spark when he snaps that ignites the oxygen-rich area.
Brotherhood actually doesn't give an explanation. The original series does.
Yeah, Brotherhood just relies on the story to explain Mustang's flame alchemy. EP19 gives you a bare-bones idea of how the mechanics of the gloves work, but that's it. You never get the full science behind it.
Im so exited for ep 19. this series has been solid but rp 19 just steps up the series and a lot of character development.
*SPOILERS!!!*
Damn, Eric, good job. But I'm especially impressed with Aaron for noticing the bracelet thing.
Maria Ross is so hot
Complex Zeus ._.
Yeah, she is on FIRE!!!..... I'll go away now.
So hot she had to be put on ice.
To those that have direct contact with these guys, could you tell them that most of the episodes starting at #28 have an epilogue after the credits?
*+Daisetsu Hashimoto* They are aware, if not I'm sure someone will let them know. 😉
**chin-stroking intensifies**
He is Fuhrer-President King Bradley.
His title is Fuhrer-President, and his name id King Bradley.
Fuhrer-President in the manga as well, often he's just referred to as President.
Mustang kinda reminds me of Nick Fury from Marvel. You never quite know what he's planning, but in the end he is probably one of the good guys.
When I read this in the Manga I remember being confused and sad/angry by Mustang's actions, but also feeling something else HAD to be going on, despite the evidence. Interesting to see that the Blind Wave guys didn't automatically jump onto the full hate-Mustang train and are actually trying to figure things out.
Don't be afraid of feeling confused about some things as you keep watching the show BW. This show is VERY GOOD at explaining things you may find confusing, usually in the very next episode. (Hello EP60 and EP61!)
I like how Shane looks at action figure like he was trying to determine if he is really evil?
So, that was a lot of fun! And by fun I mean it’s entertaining to watch you go through the same emotional turmoil that many of us have been put through by this episode.
I think it’s a very cleverly constructed episode. It throws you all over the place emotionally as well as plot-wise. Some people are absolutely sure of what they think by the end, but I like the discussion you guys had, where you compared the different options. Because the episode does leave you hanging (and Ed literally so) in the end, with a ton of questions. You seemed a bit lost during the discussion, and I think that’s a credit to the episode. All options seem to have some level of credibility to them, and yet they all have something that speaks against them. They also all open up for completely different ways the plot could go in the future, depending on which is true. So I really, really enjoyed your discussion of trying to figure everything out, did he do it or did he not, why was everything the way it was, who’s with who, etc. Even if you felt confused - which honestly, is the point and completely fine. You’ve just had a lot of assumptions you had about how things were and characters thrown up in the air. We’ll see how it lands.
Also, about Eric saying he might have missed something - I think this is the type of show that moves at a very fast pace, and certain things you definitely WON’T notice until a rewatch. I keep noticing some new things almost every time I watch it. So I don’t think that you guys are ”watching it badly” or not paying attention. There’s just a lot thrown at you now.
(Speaking of noticing things, Aaron, be nice to Calvin. :P You know he has spoons! You must be cautious!)
I'm impressed Eric has dared to peak at the comments. Beware, it's a comment section of terror and full of spoilers (sadly).
Oh, and brilliant editing Rhop! The episode felt very well condensed to 9 minutes. I couldn’t think of much while I was watching it that was missing. Nice work!
Well, we’ll see where the next few weeks takes you (and us with you). Maybe you’ll get some answers, maybe you’ll just get thrown a bunch more questions, things might heat up a bit. Who knows (I mean, I kind of do. But for appearances sake)? I know I for sure will be looking forward to it (and looking forward to writing more ridiculously long comments).
JojoInSpace Glad you enjoyed the edit :D
Nice edit. The cut did not feel rush and although i already see the anime but i feel that, you manage to keep it together. Hope to see in action in later video.
Someone need to read comment and keep the panel highlight about some misconception/error due to mishearing or lack of information. Not all the comment in this section are spoiler, some are legit discussion and correction that need to be highlight to the panel. Although just my recommendation, i would prefer sub due to its main purpose as a hearing aid. It make it easier digest heavy anime like this.
Sometimes cuts are necessary to keep the flow. If the guys go off on a tangent for 2 minutes about something completely unrelated, or they're taking long pauses trying to remember stuff, that doesn't add anything to the reaction. It's fluff.
Major armstrong was probably about to rip mustang head off. Because he knew the truth, she was not guilty. After ishval Armstrong never wanted to disober order again that's why he's struggling between killing his friend and superior and knowing his place.
Prepare for episode 19, oh my god the epicness
*insert lyrics from a fall out boy song*
you know the one
didn't know that king was bradley's real name, all these years and im still learning stuff about this show
what is really up with the early dislikes?
*+Sam is Dead* Don't worry, it's not only FMAB. Almost all of their early access videos have been getting dislikes as soon as they are released. It seems like some people became patrons and paid $5 just to dislike their videos earlier, which I find funny. xD
I think, and correct me if I'm wrong, when people like the video they open it up to people who aren't patrons. Therefore patrons aren't necessarily disliking the vids.
That's dedicated hatred for sure
Sam is Dead I don't know about that tbh.
This is true.
If a channel likes a video and doesn't have their Liked Videos playlist hidden, anyone else can see the unlisted video in the playlist.
Don't know if that is the source of the early dislikes though.
these guys are good at predicting
I was *so* angry at Mustang! I never expected him to do *anything* like this. Man... This show is such a roller coaster.
Beneath are *spoilers*
But luckily he was still good and it was all part of the plan. I was so stupid to not see what he did XD
Two a week! Two a week!
I'm going to keep commenting this until it comes true.
Episode Preview: "I hope nobody ruins the next episode for them"
Ah, it's always nice to see Dante Basco's reaction to stuff
Hughes ✅
King is evil ✅
Maria Ross innocent and burned to a crisp ✅
Mustang does a dickhead move ✅
Why do all the characters I like die or get ruined... and then their replacements in my good books also follow them?
Peeper lol Maria didn’t die and mustang saved her
@@verutorres9946 lol yes, this was before I watched those episodes
@@peeper2070 thats what I thought when I read this chapter in the manga lol
There is a new battlefront 2 (gameplay) trailer out if you guys want to check it out.
I'd love to see them react to that too
If you are interested in these smart\cunning type characters please try watching "No Game No Life" if you like analyzing or theorizing events in this anime^^
Or "KonoSuba" for a feel good anime and worth for a lot of laughs!^^
Both protagonists are very likeable^^
Like if you agree^^
Well this is just a suggestion^^
Also I have a feeling that I could have just done this on your patreon page but... idk how to^^
It really is. King really is his first name.
Background. I don't know if they read these but Mustang controls combustion and the way it moves including the path it takes and stuff like that.
Man i cant wait till you guys get to the last episodes
+Blind Wave @Blind Wave Mustang's power (from my understanding) is that he can create a flammable trail using alchemy. Like the leading line to the stick of dynamite. He creates a Point A to Point B in the air. His finger then create a spark [so need to stay dry] that ignites from Point A (hand)to Point B (destination). He has control over the fire's path, intensity, and radius. Unlike other alchemists who can create the conditions for a fire to start but can not ignite it sans lighter/flint/etc. Also they can't control its outcome completely therefore very dangerous for any normal alchemist to attempt. Any one could snap their fingers and possibly create a spark but he has the in-depth knowledge of how to change air particles in an instant and create the necessary energy in his finger focus to obtain the desired result.
can you guys do two episode for week? i really wanna see you reacting when the things get more interesting. ✌
Its good to listen to their speculation already having seen the show
oh shit were almost to episode 19!
Soooo.... no Battlefront 2 reaction?
Aaron said "tooth" and I laughed for five minutes.
Are you My Dad? Im looking for a My Dad
I love these guys but I have no idea how anyone would have actually believed that Mustang turned evil in this episode. There were so many hints as to him setting up a plan, from us not seeing the death, to telling Armstrong to go take a trip east where there are beautiful women (after Ross is called a beautiful woman), to Armstrong randomly coming to take Elric away, so on and so forth.
man i love your discussions, especially this episode
Did Aaron not see Armstrong's face? He wanted to fucking murder Mustang.
you guys should react to parasyte
0:12 teasin the next Doctor Who episode i hope.
Barry the chopper is basically Liu Kang from Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance to Armageddon where got kills and his spirit and body got separated and his physical body go around and killing everyone
urgh... the series of events in this episode and the last one are rather poorly handled when compared to the manga, it doesn't break the story but it waters down a lot of the impact from the original story.
Who cares about your opinion?
I just started watching this series with you, I thought these videos were old. Now that I got to your most recent FMA video I'm so sad I'm going o have to wait to keep watching this with you! But I see how many videos you're making every week, and gosh I'm amazed at how much you're all doing, best of luck!
Always loving the content guys. I don't know if you're still considering adding other shows, I was hoping you would consider the new Voltron:The Legendary Defender series. Voltron is one of the properties I know that is held dear by almost every generation
I'm waiting for this moment! I love how they think so much about mustang
When R u getting back to Supernatural, now the main Tv schedule has finished, it feels like a good time to get back to it
What are the odds that they will react to HxH in the future?
Kind of low, that's a lot of episodes to go through.
Nerdy George Washington yeah I thought so. But since they are reacting to DBS I still got some hope.
*+Ko Enma* Yeah, but that's because because they are big DBZ fans. :P
Did they see the funeral yet??
You guys are awesome! Love your discussions. Keep up the good work
When are you reacting to Hellsing Abridged #7?
When are you going to react to the Star Wars battlefront 2 gameplay trailer
i want next episode really badly
cracking open a cold flame with the boys.....
had to... kill me....
I just want to know when is the next episode coming out?
Is This The Waiting Room For Vikings?
Great reaction and one the best episodes is coming.

Battlefront 2?
continua.
When u guys starting death note
*+Mahir Ahmed* When it wins a poll. :P
Ever Beltrán when will it win the poll?
I don't know when Death Note will win a poll, but it is very likely we'll have a poll soon. It has to beat Attack on Titans though, which is another highly requested anime.
Ever Beltrán Can they do Attack on titan without copyright strikes? When the series takes a break in between seasons, they start to copyright people videos. Also, when is season 3 going to come out? it took 4 yrs for season 2 to come out
how is it that video came out minute ago and there are comments from 7 days ago
Patreon donors get the videos a week before everyone else.
The comments from Patreon pass over when the video gets uploaded here.
m'kay
Because the alchemy :v
nah just kidding the patreon donator can watch early
Haha what!? Who said that? Why would a characters 1st namebe King? Haha in thus world the Military has taken control over the government. In the past im sure the govt and military were seperate, but ever since Bradley became Fuhrer and enlisted Alchemists for military weaponized purposes he pushed the need out for government and became the ruling decision make because of the War-Time with the Ishvals(which Bradley helped set up.) Therefore he soon became known as King Fuhrer Bradley, it was mainly a temporary title for war time but Bradley is Badass and he knows how to hold onto power with his scapegoats and distractions. He keeps conficts rising in countries so that there is no need to even think about removing his position. But anyways back to my point, King is not his first name haha :P
King is his first name
please do kora twice a week. yo guys will be so impressed
Clayton Epich they've made it clear that they aren't. And I'm fine with that. KORRA has a lot more extension of the Avatar universe and they'll need a while to take it all in.
Clayton Epich Korra is shorter than avatar so it's better for it to be once a week
spoilers
So fucking obvious he didn't kill her...
Plz one punch man episode 2
*+Saitama* OPM goes up on Tuesdays mate.
Nope, they cancelled the series forever
Kraator Why?
/s
*+Saitama* LOL. Don't believe him, it's not true, in fact, they already uploaded their reaction to episode 2 on Patreon.com. :D
I'm 1:30 into the video and already disliking the editing. It's so jarring with all those cuts during their discussion, it makes the whole conversation sound disjointed and fake. Please leave in everything you can, because we like to listen to the full discussion and we can actually follow the conversation. Just my friendly criticism.
Sometimes cuts are necessary to keep the flow. If the guys go off on a tangent for 2 minutes about something completely unrelated, or they're taking long pauses trying to remember stuff from the previous episode, that doesn't add anything to the reaction. It's fluff.
CUBONE! Good shit Shane, I also said that the first time, lol.
