Hey man, you've been a major motivator for me to learn 3d. I've never been that great at sculpting models, nor do I really have the equipment and time to make photorealistic images. You're content should be a necessary step for all beginners, so keep up the good work 👍
Yowza! Here I am STILL using and learning the basics of simply Blender 2.80, as if you're, like, 2 versions or so ahead of me! I'm surer than sure version 2.82 should have a few more features (maybe like the “snap to edge center/face center” thing). I wanna stick with what I have now-I don't have a LOT of projects on 2.80, anyhoo-but I also think it should make sense that I definitely get the latest versions should I wanna keep up. Your projects are just as awesome, though! I don't do isometric things like you, mainly because isometric projects kinda confuse me; tried using such techniques for modelling a dining area inspired after Hyrule Castle from “The Legend of Zelda” series, so I guess I shouldn’t do anything beyond my expertise. Keep up the good work, as you’re bound to inspire an increasing amount of viewers/subscribers like me!
30:11 Snap - Face doesn't work here, and i don't know why. So i can't put the tiles on the roof... Can someone help me please ? (It worked before with the rocks)
Hello. I am trying to make this. I have a question plz answer. In the beginning your plane seems to be under three axes. How axes lines appear above plane?
@Polygon Runway When you decide to make a 3d model how do you choose how much detail you put into your objects to make them look like what you designed? I am curious if you have a plan on how you do it because you could go crazy with the detail even if it's low poly, but when do you know to stop if that makes sense?
Yeah, it totally makes sense. I try to ballpark it with some first object I detail after the first scene blockout. After that I just try to stay within that (no the case with the tree and grass here :D)
Is it okay to have objects overlay other objects without it effecting the rendering? I read so much about topology and from what I have read, everything needs to be connected properly. Am I wrong?
It is completely okay if objects overlay other objects. Just make sure, that there are no Faces at the same height and rotation. This causes some sort of "flickering" in the render. It happens for example if you duplicate objects and forget to move them.
And it's very contextual too. Topology is mainly issue for games, animation and larger scenes and projects. If you do a simple illustration, you don't need to be so strict on yourself :)
hi🙂, I am really interested in the content of your videos😍, but I want you to add a little picture of the result during the video to let me compare between them😏, I'm always stuck in the thambnial for that 😥
It's a old video. I am a beginner. I cant do the select path at 5:14 with blender 2.9. I don't understand why I can't. I can use select path for the Lighthouse but for the stair, it doesn't work. The face isn't create with CTRL+F because of that.

It would be really hard to narrate 10 hours of process weekly. I commented videos too, and there will be more of them, but I create 2 unique designs every week and record the process. I'm sure it's better to give it out like this, than nothing :)

Thank you for your feedback! I'm happy you like my content
Just so you know, you have to enable Add Mesh: Extra Objects add on to add Single Vert.
bruh the pains i took to add single verts, if i just knew this sooner thanks tho
Came for this. Thanks
Isn't it the same thing like i did it, just Ctrl+Right click in edit mode?
I've learned so much watching these videos
That's awesome to hear! :)
I love how your videos transfer good and positive vibes
Almost had a heart attack at 2:22

Thank you! You should definitely update to 2.82, it won't change basically anything for you and you will be up to date. Thats always a good thing :)
Incredibly fantastic 👍🏻
I LOVE YOUR WORK, BIGGEST FAN HERE
Thank you! :)

Somehow.

Thank you, I've learned a lot though I need to change the playback speed to 0.25 to keep up :D

How do you have so less subscribers? You deserve more!
Thanks!
Completed!

@@polygonrunway cool thanks, I felt that was holding me back because of my perfectionism 👍🏼
Hello! I have a problem. I can’t understand how you made the door to the lighthouse? Is this some kind of hotkey?
Yeah, it's the basic boolean modifier, but I use "bool tools" addon (just activate it) and you can doo boleans simple as CTRL+, CTRL- and so on
@@polygonrunway Oh! Thank you, I did it. Thank you so much for your creativity and good luck in your work.
Is there a download link for the file?

at 11:17 how did you get depth in the mesh without a solidify modifier?
I am stuck there! I am not able to make a depth! Can you help?
@@meriantiqueduniya8824 what I did is that I filled the face on top and the one on the bottom
try to add a boolean modifier to the lighthouse and set a door cube as a difference. it works the same.
This doesn't look low poly to me 😉😀
Excellent video! 👍👍
Yeah, it's kind of a borderline :D Thanks! :D
How did you make the grass ? Have I missed a part in the video ? amyzing job btw
I think I have done it after the recording at the time. It's just a particle system with lowpoly grass strains
This looks great! Is it any lighthouse from a place in particular?
Thanks! I don't think so. I looked at multiple references so it's mixed up :)
In 11:17 I can't get that with ctrl+ numpad_minus! Can anyone help? Neither I am getting by boolean modifer!
how to create lights from windows and lamps? could you please help? I am a beginner to 3d modeling. Thank you
You need to switch the material from principled to emission shader
Ooh, I love this! Do you happen to have any big projects coming?
Thank you! I'm working on a lot of stuff right now :)
30:00 tile
7:28 how to grab but in diagonal direction like that bro?
you press G G for the edge slide, but then additionally hold alt to go out of bounds
@@polygonrunway ok I got it
What is the name of the shortcut or tool you use to create the holes in minutes: 11:16 and 11:33
It's the bool tool addon and the shortcut for cutout is ctrl+minus on a numpad (difference boolean operation)
@@polygonrunway Thanks!!!

I was already doing that, but I forgot for this one, sorry about that :)

At 54:36, you use G ? isn't a scale ? It doesn't work, I can't fix the angle of the roof.
How long did it take to get this good?!
You can get there in few months I think :)
Polygon Runway :O you just motivated me to learn blender
How do you achieve glow in cycles?
You need to use compositor and glare filter
0:21 in my version 2.83.2 i didn't have single vert, where is this?
it's an addon u can activate in Preferences
Please do anything with commentary
How did you do the grass?
It's made with particle system (and unfortunately after the video was ready)
@@polygonrunway Looks awesome!
Como habilito el add Single Vert?
"extra objects" addon :)
@@polygonrunway Muchas gracias
How can I open pie menu of pivot point?
It's the period key (not on the numpad)

13:28 how are you doing this?
