So amazing. Jack on drums, that guitarist killing the pinky harp (very David T. Walker vibes), some Joe guy on the fender bass, the horns, and Antwaun’s overtone control.
there's a part of me that wants to believe that it was an attempt to channel the aforementioned "robots who want to dance like humans" into a musical concept.
Just realized that Antwan has such an Al Jarreau thang goin on but still presents himself unique.. Love everything about the way he sings. Such a natural.
I turned this song on for my 2 year old cousin and about 10 seconds in she stopped what she was doing and said "oh! I like this!" took my phone and started dancing . My thoughts exactly and it doesn't hurt that the lead singers voice makes love to my ears.
I got a question. If you listen to the phrase sung at 0:34, is there a term or name for that particular melody? In Sweden we call it the "slick lick" but I cannot find any one else using that name for it. Anyone who knows what I'm talking about?
it's embodying the robots that the song was mentioning. The guitar player is obviously not playing like that seriously, in the verse you hear him busting out David T Walker style pinky chords.
I don't like the guitar solo either but don't knock it so hard, to me it sounds like more of an artistic thing (that might have been a call by stratton). nobody will know exactly what happened there but the guy who played it but at least give him the benefit of the doubt

The groove takes over Jack's face, Antwaun's hands, and Joe's neck.
joes neck is the groove
So glad i discovered this. The control that Antwun has on his voice is crazy!
life before vulf compressor
His voice is GLORIOUS
jack’s face in this is a mood and an absolute masterpiece
these guys are so underrated, i discovered this song almost 7 years ago love this band
this is like vulpfpeck + Antwaun Stanley before vulfpeck even formed... so cool
well it IS vulfpeck + antwaun before vulfpeck existed lol
And Antwaun looks like he's 14 in this video. lol
And joe too
@@BlindManifest with a full moustache???
Jack is probably my favorite person of all time ever.
As usual, love this. Keep it up!
that bassline at 2:44 melted me
these guys are totally ripping off Vulfpeck
Bobby Engel They even look the same WTF
Lmfao
uhhhhh.....i really hope this comment is supposed to be sarcastic

Is there any video where Joe Dart is not completely killing it, even when only playing 10 notes?
+Donja Crta the answer to that question is certainly no..
+Donja Crta 10s a lot though
dude tell me about it even his flipping transitions are "Beastly" i.e 2:43
Well, to be fair, 10 notes is A LOT.
There are only 12 notes in all of western music, so if he's playing "only" 10 notes, that's almost all of them.
0:30 oh ma lordy lord
Believe me when I tell you: "Believe nuttin people tell you."
Holy crap... I think I'm in love. Astounding!
finally a group that realized that bass trombones are better at bringing the "oompf" into horn sections than bari saxophones!
love the bass fill at 2:44
great band great song. super tight. love it
2:02 that face is legendary, but mind you, i was almost the same when that sweat sounding guitar comes in.
man this is awesome with headphones
Nice going, Tina Fey.
The chorus reminds me of the Vulf song, "Conscious Club" - I wonder if that was a conscious decision
i see what you did there
How have I only JUST NOW found this?!?
I'm going to dance to this everyday, thank you!!
I turned this song on for my 2 year old cousin and about 10 seconds in she stopped what she was doing and said "oh! I like this!" took my phone and started dancing . My thoughts exactly and it doesn't hurt that the lead singers voice makes love to my ears.
ShowvunDimples .
J Strat killin' it, as usual.
Lmao everyone in suits and Jack in a Lakers tank and mutton chops
1:12 to doince to dornce
Just found this song again, that solo was not as good as I remember haha
This is fantastic. I wish ytube had a loop button, time to download the track :)
Rosianna Halse Rojas do i have news for you
Jack Stratton is a god
Man, Michael Malis haven’t seen ya since high school. So that’s what you were up to at Michigan, nice

Clearly these people are geniuses.
The drummer is weirdly cute.

No idea dude
wow!
If anybody had been around to see the stinkface that set in when I heard that bass come in...
I fell in love with one of the singers, what can I do?
wooha, a bit Zappa-esque
This is so music student
The Vulfman on drums
And the vulfbeast on bass. I think that's the vulfgoss on keys?
Excelente
OMG Darren I love you ♥
2:04 "oh shit. I dig it!"
yezzir
Damn, who knew Guy Martin could lay down such a groove?
That’s clearly baby Wolverine
Did someone say David T. Walker?
Did that effect on the vocal envelope out a note that didn’t work?
Is this before vulfpeck even formed?
yes
The guitar solo is so lame
The " Daaaance" pan+phaser is so spot on.
The.
talk about having no idea how to 'play a song' so cringeworthy
You don't think it's so over-the-top intentionally?
it's the robots who want to dance like humans embodied as a guitar solo
That guitar solo ahahahahahahahahah
Holy shit this was in the same building that I go and study in. Fuckin love it
world's funkiest rhythm section
The singer from Ann Street Soul Stirrers????
Live in France brought me here.
In the end I still couldn't figure out if it was Jack Stratton or not.
Shure SM 7 B
Why is Darren's comment marked as spam?!?!
The bass player should be teaching his craft online for 250$
What microphone is the lead vocalist using?
Shure SM7 B
anybody know what snare the drummer's using?
awesome! that guitar solo was awful tough
belongs in an 80s metal video
I'm pretty sure it's a joke
Because that solo had to be like robot-played
it's embodying the robots that the song was mentioning. The guitar player is obviously not playing like that seriously, in the verse you hear him busting out David T Walker style pinky chords.
@@EpicStuffMan1000 yeah... but it just sounds bad, so what’s the point
Iam give up... this is insane
The talking part is suuuppppeeeerr silly!
do you feel bad for robots?
Bless you Darren Criss. So supermegafoxyawesomehot.
Celebrate good times with dance?
ahahaha "smooth"
I like how he says smooth all smooth and cool-like and then the most unsmooth guitar solo you've ever heard.
Well he did play like a robot
Jack looks like Andy Samberg with fake sideburns in this video.
Love that guitar solo
I love this but god damn that bridge part was rough
Antwaun has got attidude, what a rockstar
How the FUCK am I just seeing this now?!
1:44
Day 5,053 of waiting for the next Groove Spoon upload
What drum kit is that?
Dom Hudson jsp kit
it makes me sad that you ditched your Iclemyer account.
first thing that's made me want to be a Lakers fan...
Nice face, Jack.
lol I thought Antwaun started singing professionally after vulfpeck was formed
this is why you dont want lead guitarrists in your band xD
@Kobe10032 Very well put, my friend. Rather meh.
Those mutton chops tho
I wondered if there were recordings of their old bands
ice cold diss
I don't like the guitar solo either but don't knock it so hard, to me it sounds like more of an artistic thing (that might have been a call by stratton). nobody will know exactly what happened there but the guy who played it but at least give him the benefit of the doubt
These cameraguys hate bass
It's cool! Fuck the armchair musicians comparing you to other bands, make whatever the hell you guys want, haters gonna hate
Is this a joke?
im so sick of this kind of jazz. it so boring
This isn't jazz?
