I LOVE diamond painting and have been doing so for the past five years since discovering a Diamond Dotz kit in my local hobby store and then stumbling on Rachael Rae and two others' channels on FlossTube. I love large and complex designs with 50+ colors from reputable companies and round vs square drills. Thanks for sharing your "special guest" with us. Sadly I have no one in my immediate family or circle of friends to "paint" with at this time. On completion and framing these masterpieces, my family and friends are stunned. It is my second favorite hobby after cross-stitching and reading mystery novels. Sorry - I am still in the "poo poo" camp when it comes to audio books. Church and State is my philosophy with my hobbies.
When I first saw an advertisement for Diamond Painting I laughed and said OMG there's no way that will take off... how wrong I was! And then I too jumped on the band wagon. It's so enjoyable and I love that you can get a quick finish from a large project (so much quicker than cross stitch!). Loved seeing your WIPs and your next project (we share favourite colours!). Congratulations Josie on an amazing job so far... those square drills are quite tricky to line up and you've absolutely nailed it! Now I'm keen to get one of my WIPs out this weekend and work on it :)
I find diamond painting is my go-to if I’m on late shift at work then come home and have to run around madly for the kids. If I only get 5 minutes to sit down, it is the perfect solution. I do t need to set up, thread a needle or anything. It will never replace cross stitch for me but it gives me just as much satisfaction and I really love the results.
This video has inspired me to get my long forgotten kit out to keep working on. Your daughter is such a sweetheart. I’m here for the diamond painting as much as the cross stitching 👍
Do it! I’d love to see it! The more diamond painting I do, the more I love it - as if I needed another crafty addiction 😂. But it’s good that we’re broad minded and versatile, isn’t it.

I have become hooked also, some times i just cant concentrate enough to piece or embroider. dotting is mindless but satisfying . i wonder if in 60 or so years dot paintings will be a thrifting rage like paint by numbers are now.
