- This design has been on my ideas to-do list for what seems like forever! I’ve seen some amazing variations of this design, your possibilities are endless! I tried to list everything I used below, but may have missed something.
Here are all of the supplies used:
*20 ounce modern curve from www.thestainlessdepotcompany.com. I wish I had a coupon code!
*Electrical tape is from Home Depot, you can usually find it at Dollar Tree as well.
*Epoxy is KSResin. I used Liquidy Split and Liquid art on this cup. Here’s a link for 10% off your order or use code TPS for the discount: bit.ly/3iVnsLM
*Brea Reese white: get this from a craft store, it is cheaper than Amazon.
*Brea Reese Lake blue from this set: amzn.to/2EMWaoH
*Tim Holtz indigo& mermaid from this set: amzn.to/397F6Ic
*Heat gun: my model is no longer listed on amazon but this one is as close as I could find amzn.to/3xhiwYm. You can also use an embossing gun. I did for the first 2 years of making tumblers. A blow dryer will put out more air than heat and can work, but can also make too much movement.
*Measuring cups from www.allegromedical.com. Be sure to check their site or sign up for emails, they do free shipping OFTEN and that can keep costs way down. I use the kind that are $1 for 100 when they’re in stock.
*The turner arm support was created by an amazing family of crafters. I use it for every project! Use PURPLE20 for 20% off a lot of their products here: etsy.me/2lGyJSX. I have 3 of their pen turners as well.
*PinPen is from Wicked Shimmer on Etsy, but they haven’t had them in a while. You should be able to find them almost anywhere.
*Metal stir sticks are amazing, I‘ve been using the same 2 or 3 for 2 years. I have 2 of the 5 still on reserve. It cuts down on waste, easy to clean and can also help reduce bubbles. amzn.to/35Oq33U
*Protective mask: mine is no longer listed on amazon, but you can find all kinds of options on amazon. I switched to the type with built-on goggles for fume protection when I use heat.

I like how the top rim is thick like it is. Gives it dimension like thats where the railing is of the boat.
This would be awesome on one of my cigar box guitars. The ship planks ,very nice.
