  • How to Shipwreck Tumbler Tutorial using Epoxy. I did add glitter into my epoxy.
    I only give my best representation on how I do them. I'm certain others have mastered this technique and may be able to guide you better. I do however hope my way can help someone and allow anyone to be able to glitter and fully design your tumbler.

    Not to be unpleasant but ppl watch tutorials to learn something new, so they need to SEE every step. I’ve seen ALOT of tutorials where they say I did this or that off camera, and that is not helpful. I’m sure your really good at what you do & I appreciate your showing a cup you messed up. It helps us to not beat ourselves up so much but we need to see every single step. Thank you.

      I can absolutely respect this 100% I have learned so much doing tutorials that I’ve learned to speak more clearly on what I have done off camera so I can better help you all learn, I’m sorry that I was not clear in this video but I promise I’ve worked very hard to be very clear since.

    Great for 2nd attempt. I do not go up as far as you with the ink. I don't go up the cup so far on cup and the white I use is the Alumilite White and mix in cup with resin and apply to cup with a stir stick. I get nice wave look. Thanks for showing us and by now your probably a pro at it.

    The wave wouldn't go so far up if you hit it with the heat gun from the top down

    Looks great. I think it would help the wave look if you blew the heat up and down instead of directly straight into the cup... must try

    Thanks for sharing. Lools cool. I pulled the cup off the turner and held it downward to a bit when it started creeping. Sorry if i missed it, what white did you use? Seems to react differently then pinata white.

      Its Brea Reese from Glitter4all, Yeah and someone else mentioned that instead of using the heat gun try a hair dryer bc my heat gun is packing to much heat which could have affected my white. ❤

      I meant to ask, I paint mugs with handles. What epoxy do you use? Would the spinner work for them?

      Pam J. Yes, and any turner will work, just make sure your noodle and or football holds them on nice and tight so they don’t fall off.

    What about trying to get your inks to move by blowing through a straw instead of using the heat gun. Just wondering

    It looks great! I seen your white alcohol ink, it looks similar to a black I bought and it turned out to be watercolor ink & it separated like your white did.

    I think they both look good but to balance this one you could put a couple more slashes of the white paint in the middle of the blue

    If you add pigment/inks to your epoxy then drizzle it on you will get the waves you want 😀 Cool concept though

      Carol Clouser At one point I tried that, someone else commented that I used to much heat using the heat gun to try a blow dryer which I thought that was great advice. I will be trying that for sure❤️

    Instead of a heat gun for the waves, use a hairdryer with a flat tip on it on cold (I saw this done in a different wave tutorial). It worked very well. You get too much heat with the heat gun.

    Ps, I wouldn't strip your first cup...I'd just cover over the top part of the cup with more sea / waves...x
