Accessing the 2017 Civic Type R hidden Menus.

I made this video to show R owners how to access the error menu to erase errors so they can trouble shoot phone connection issues. But allows,access to all sub menus. ***do not change settings you dont understand. You assume all risk if you do***

I have a 2020 civic with the volume knob & buttons. I hold the power, phone & volume button for this model year to access the hidden menus. Thank you for your video. It did clear all the funky connection issues.

Hi Frank, I saw you have a map button next to the audio button on left top corner. Is that map app from your phone or from Honda system?

Hongyu Cao that map is from Honda company just the Honda civic turning the have by yourself

Hi, in the "Special Function Setting" place I know that it shows a button named "Map Unlock". Does that give you the navigation system for non-navigation Honda cars? Also, is the Map Unlock button how you got your navigation system or navigation button on the home screen?

Well how do you get to driving while playing music videos

corone2018 there is a setting you can turn off that would allow you to play videos while driving. It worked in the SI. But has been disabled in the R. So I didn't show it. Besides you don't need to watch music videos while driving :)

Frank B. Its just music videos while driving its not for me to take my eyes off the wheel its for passengers to listen n watch if they want to . But cool im sure someone will come out soon with a jail break for this system , ill can wait .

corone2018 ok, but jailbreak wont work. It is a safety feature of the car not the infotainment system. It's tied to the switches on the e break.

126puneet yeah I know, that's what I said in my first comment. The setting that allowed it in older cars is still in the hidden menu but has been disabled and cant be changed now. So that's why I didn't show it.

who cares who they are for? they are hidden cause unless you know the process you cant see them which is the very definition of hidden.
