Chris Henry and you are absolute geniuses
The yanks (of course) call this effect the 'vertical axis perception error'. It's very interesting and has helped me massively. I was hitting the cue ball to the left. This is very common with right handed players (left handed players will tend to hit it to the right).
I fixed it by playing loads of straight stop shots and put a mark on an old cue ball. I first played about ten shots and every time the cue ball had spin, the same side. I played a shot that looked like I was using right hand side and the ball stopped like a statue. It's taking me a bit of time to readjust but it's becoming clearer!
I like the sound of these balls, I might give them a try.

Where can I get these balls to buy?.
Lootfieh from Stellenbosch South Africa. Your videos help me a lot in playing straight.Just one question... Are snooker balls supposed to be a tiny bit bigger than the balls at my local pool hall? They have normal English tables. Been playing blackball for a couple of months, but I'm an aspiring snooker player and have played a couple of games before.

"We can put it in the middle and have fun while praying"
Great video, just ordered the set, watching from sunny wolverhampton😎😎😎
I only wish I had created these because they definitely work. Took a bit of time to get used to what they were telling me but now it feels like I can play shots so much straighter
Love your vids! Please give a shout-out to Jude in Meath, Ireland 😊
Hi Break from Life
Gurdit from London here
Quick question,. In snooker when we play with side it causes the object ball to be flicked off-course, does the same happen with american pool balls? I'm asking because I find using side in american pool fairly straightforward but in snooker I end up missing nearly every shot with side.
It should be the same. Not sure if the cues, tips, cloth or size of the table would have an affect on that. Or the size of the balls. Have to try next time I’m near an American pool table
i wanna get one of those

When I first started getting serious about billiards in general, I used a similar conceptual method to really exaggerate my errors--I just played fairly slow shots (on well levelled tables). If I missed, I slightly adjusted my aim points, keeping my posture the same and stable.
I also recommend freezing the cue to a rail and shooting straight and slow at an object ball to train your eyes to know where the centre is and how to shoot it straight. All the best!
Pronounced Lee trim. Love your channel.
There are plenty of ball aids but ultimately it’s completely different when your cueing shots in practice or in match for the simple that you cant use this training ball for regular practice, only in isolation. Love the new backing track 😎

Hey there! Love your videos ;)
I have a question. Is a 1 year of playing snooker (before snooker one year of pool (avg. 1 time per week for 2h) from ground zero) much? Im getting quite frustrated while playing snooker so it pushes me out quite often.
Watching from Racibórz,
Poland ;)
Not really, but the problem with Snooker is a lot of the time the more you try to improve the harder things get. Which just makes things frustrating
@@Breakfromlife Thank you :) I will persist on improving :)
Dynasphere Snooker Silver balls are underweight coming in at 130g per ball, will a set like this be of benefit like the balls in this video.
I made a counterfeit with pingpong ball
Although the size was significantly smaller but it was working on the same phenomenon of opposite path in respect of the sides u accidentally apply on the ball..
Please advice if I really need to buy this aid by chris or my counterfeit will do !!
£80 aid or £1 ping pong ball ??😅

Great video! Are the balls solid or hollow in the middle?
Definitely hollow like a ping pong ball but very solidly built

Thanks for very helpful videos.

No. A waste of time and waste of money if you pay more than $5 for these balls. Nothing but fake reviews here.
Hello
I’m from Johannesburg South Africa. Love your videos. Have always learnt from them too.
I think lighter balls is the reason snooker players do okay at American pool and American pool players struggle with snooker
Atal from Afghanistan, enjoying and learning from your videos. keep it up.

This is the first (but definately not last) video I watched on this channel of yours.
I heart of these balls, but forgot to look 'em up. And then I randomly stumbled over your video.
Someone asked me about these so I decided to give them a try. They seem well worth a go if you can understand what they are telling you
Khalid from Sylhet Bangladesh
Saw a youth group practice with these today at the club. They seemed to rate them quite highly. Also found out that the club I go to have poorly sized cueballs. A couple of tables had cueballs that's were a good 2 to 3 mm different in height when put between two red and a cue rested across the top. Is this normal, it is my club buying cheap cueballs? David in Norwich England
Probably loads of clubs down my way did exactly the same thing. Played a whole game once wondering why one of the yellows was so small before realising it was off a pool table
I told Break For Life he was swiping left on every shot weeks ago, I could have saved him 71 pounds. LOL FWIW, try using a 7mm tip diameter cue with a 4 inch bridge length on those ping pong balls and you'll make almost every shot, due to approximating the effective pivot point. A topic Break For Life has no idea about.
For those who want a cheaper way to test cuing accuracy in the same way, just use a 13mm US Pool cue and bridge at around 15 inches. This will create a similar effect as hitting 20 gram balls with a normal snooker cue and standard bridge length. It will exaggerate squirt / or throw as the snooker players refer to it, from hitting the Cue Ball off center.
Unsubscribing. Can stand the sales job. Bye
That fugitive quote got me 😂
I wanted to play some “freedom” based music but it would have all got copyright claimed
Can u tell me if they will be able to tell you if your aim is a bit out or just putting unwanted side on the ball.
as I sometimes miss to the right of the pocket but cant work out why ie if its side or aim
I was trying this today actually. You can use the CueBall which will show if you are striking the CueBall in the centre. Then you can use the normal CueBall and the red to see if you are lining up the shot accurately. Has definitely helped with straight pots. Though it takes some getting used to and understanding. Especially when you start trying to play angled shots once you have got everything right
These are a joke. I bought them after seeing this video and the are not worth it.
That looks great ,from Tunis , Tunisia
I'll wait till the price comes down.
Yeah I thought it was a bit steep for what feel like 2 ping pong balls. Was glad I could use “channel money” to buy them
@@Breakfromlife My thoughts too. That much money is just silly unless you are very serious about snooker. Considering the sport is slowly on the down hill stuff like this being reasonable price would help people practise and get serious about it.
Would it be good to use this while doing sightright training as well?
Have you ever seen the cue action trainer ?
What a waste of money. A fool and his money are soon parted.

Your video is now featured on the website I thought that was pretty cool.
Well that’s really good the only problem is this stuff is starting to go to my head. I’m starting to go mad with power, probably. Thanks for telling me though it’s good to know we are getting noticed
Fantastic training aid. Lighter means better
Duane from Ilfracombe England.
Master Doctor Kit also looks like a good training tool for technique.
Thanks will look
Top product , I've been using them for a few months and was also surprised to bet that off straight now 95% off the time I'm spot on in the center
I’ve noticed over the last week the straight shots in particular have felt a lot more getable. It does take time but you end up playing all shot more accurately
please gift me a cue, Nepal
Interesting video. The background music is not a good idea. It's just distracting imo..At least turn it down 👍
Yeah sorry didn’t realise it go so loud. I need a way of finding documentary background music then no one would even notice

80 euro! Absolute joker. Go looking in the kids' toys aisle for some play pen balls (if they're small ones) or some other toy that has hollow balls. You'll find something in the end, and it'll probably cost you about a tenner. You can also get a good idea of the cueball throw with a table tennis ball.
Why do people have to over charge so immensely?

hmmm... definitely looks like you put right hand side on there at 4:00 so maybe it wasn't that you were putting left hand side on but were actually aiming incorrectly to the right of the pocket?! It looks like your cue is pointing to the right of the pocket at the end of the stroke, so the right hand side pushed the ball to the left and it went in. ?? ??
I think the spotted cue ball may be a good indicator of whether you put unintentional side on, playing a dead straight stun shot, if there's any side the ball will still spin slightly when it stops dead from the stun stroke... not that these light balls won't deflect massively with side I just think your demonstration may have been a bit flawed (sorry!)

Hi i am one of your fans. From Penang, Malaysia. Can u do a video comparison between other snooker player techniques compared with judd trump technique.
Dan from Roumania here
thing is many players and pros play the ball aiming slightly left or right of centre and adjust the line acordingly as hitting dead centre is very hard if nigh on imossible to do regularly and lots cue all over the white of course ...I think the spotted aramith snooker match ball is a more useful item to have for practice than anything ...you should cover that
I have been following you for the whole of 2020. Happy new year
I am from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Kenneth from Burlington North Carolina, snooker hands down better than pool

what about the idea that a training bat "helps you practice swinging the bat more slowly"?
seems like this helps you practice only striking the center..
Brilliant.
Hi, im struggling with this problem.. cant hit the cue ball in the center. After straight shot white is spining ;/ your vids are interesting. It helps a lot in practice routines. Thx and keep vids going, gl. Tadas From Lithuania )

Shady obviously you get the balls with the purchase but it also says you get instructional videos as well? Could you comment on those and if they helped? As in number of videos, was there a mini course you had to follow etc etc?
Thanks.
I wanted to talk more about this but was worried I’d be just giving away other people’s paid content for free. Basically there are about 15 videos that give you a different practice routine in each one. There are also assessments to help understand what you should be achieving. Even though the videos take too long to get to the point there is some good advice in them. As what to look out for and what the results of shots mean. Website isn’t put together very well and the assessment parts are very basic. It’s all the right ideas without being able to make it work full by the looks of it. Does say it will be updated though
Thanks for the reply I did try to search for some videos on the website but I imagine that to access the instructional videos and exercises you must have purchased the balls and then be granted access via your username which would be linked to your purchase?
Just checked and yes you have to be logged in and have purchased the balls
Break from life thank you Shady I’m teetering on the edge would 1hr a few times a week be sufficient to warrant the cost? I’m thinking yes... thoughts?
Break from life cheers Shady I too will have a pair of balls shortly....
