I've just got into bumping too and got some bump keys and a hammer from bumpkeys4u. Good to have another option. I made a couple of ERA 6 pin bump keys on my key machine which work a treat on the BS night latch bud 👍🏼
If you watch the vids from bumpkeys4u (they actually have a webinar on bumping) they leave the shoulder on to make it easier to copy the key so you can make a copy and modify it how you like it while keeping the original pristine.
Yeah I’ve checked out a few of their videos, I’m looking forward to buying a few more bump keys on locks that can be a pain in the ass when I’m out at work
@@FortressLocksmiths if you find you are in need of an organiser one of the guys used an essential oils carry case they come in up to 60 bottle size. I am going to pick one up. Hands down looks like the best way to store them.
@@chrissadventuresinlockpick8267 I uploaded a video of my go to kit when I’m at work, got it from B&Q for a tenner if I remember rightly, had a few compartments for my most frequently used bump keys but I am thinking about getting another organiser
@@fortifiedlocksmithswakefield ahhhh good old Versa! I know whenever I come across one of these that it’s a locksmith that’s put it in 😂😂 and yeah pal I’m gonna order a couple more tomorrow including the Versa
Me neither really Brendan, but if you have a look at the site there are a lot of the common 1 stars on there and for the price it’s nice to have an extra option
Hi great vids really helpful im new to this and eager to learn. Maybe a daft question but ill go for it lol. When bumping how do you know if your dealing with a 5 or 6 pin cylinder when locked in the door? Thanks
Cheers for the feedback Dean 👍🏻 The easiest way to tell is to put a 6 pin bump key in the lock, if it won’t go all the way in then you know it is a 5 pin most probably
Cheers pal, and yes if you check out some of my other videos I do get customers who begrudge paying what I quoted but as I explain to them they are paying for my tools and experience, the whole point is to get them in with very little or no damage

Yeah I find the ERA bump quite nicely, not tried them on the nightlatch but I shall do now 😂
