Patton Kesselring they say they hate each other all they want, but deep down they're like family. If family wanted to legitimately kill you a few times, went with you across multiple countries to do random stuff in an assortment of cars

How gently Richard tells James to "Stay still," after falling off the horse is very heartwarming, their bond is truly a brotherhood
Winding yourself is no joke. On top of that, he hit his back. I've done something similar when I was skateboarding. Can't speak, can barely move. It's awful. That grunting noise james was making, from my experience, is uncontrollable. It's absolutely awful

Both of Hammond's big crashes are absolutely horrifying to watch back no matter how many times you've seen it.
To be fair, in both of those crashes, if it had either of the other two, there would have been memorial episodes with Sarah McLaughlin playing... Not because they'd be sad, but to piss off the late host.
If see watch some of Hammond's old episodes you might feel that he has gotten significantly less sprightly and cheerful over the years, and understanably so. Poor Hamster.
@@Alkaloid-Odin Very true, but having a near death experience in a 10,000 HP will do that, so it makes sense. Hammond stated that there was fear of brain damage, but I would suspect that his emotional control center has been thrown out of whack since that incident.
@@ZeroCrystal hell if you read his autobiography while he was in hospital, his brain basically needed to grow up again and even after he recovered his wife knew that he had changed since the whole ordeal. He was still Richard Hammond but different somehow

@@tuubas2 Yeah I know. Thinking about that sort of stuff puts how fragile we really are into perspective. I actually had a similar experience once when I was a boy fooling around with my friends and even though you don't see tonnes of blood and stuff like in the movies, head injuries like that are really serious.

James hitting his head in the desert was the most painful for me. And Hammond's dragster crash the most serious.
Yeah. From what I can tell, Hammond may have gotten a bit of brain damage from that crash, and he's lucky he didn't die

When I first started watching them, I could not understand how Jeremy could throw his neck out from a bad turn. Last week, I threw out my back picking up a sock. Now I get it.

I pulled a muscle in my side so bad while sneezing, I missed a day from work because I had to take muscle relaxers just to sit comfortably.

This was my first time seeing that one, felt genuinely concerned there that could have gone very badly
Yeah that's probably the worst one I reckon.
That could have been life ending quite easily.
Especially when he showed visible confusion and memory loss, that's the telltale signs of a brain injury.

When James fell of the horse Richard touched me so much with how he cared i watched it 3 times and it just touched my heart as i see these 3 as role models and they went through so much

Some of those injuries were quite serious; especially the one where James was holding the tow rope. He hit his head hard, you could see him go unconscious-- and well, Richard is just lucky to be alive with his two major crashes.

After Hammond's first fatal crash, Jeremy took care of his wife and tried to cheer her up in the hospital. Hammond told the story and he said Jeremy might die of embarrassment if people knew this. He's a true friend, and their relationship is pure
