- Welcome to Bergen, Norway’s second biggest city. Bergen attracts tourists for all sorts of reasons. It’s one of Norway’s most popular cruise ship ports, the starting point for the coastal voyage, one end of the famous Bergen railway and has a reputation as a gateway to the fjords.
Bergen is the perfect starting point to explore the best of Norwegian nature, but visitors shouldn’t ignore the city itself. From a UNESCO World Heritage site at its heart to a stave church hidden in plain sight, these are my recommended top 7 things to do in Bergen, Norway.

One of my favorite things to do is to shop for some items to make a picnic lunch and then go to Lille Lungegårdsvannet for a picnic around the little lake. It's a sweet, peaceful place to be on a pleasant day.
Sounds like a "do as the locals do" way to enjoy Bergen, nice job!
This video is getting me excited about my trip to Bergen in October 🙂
Glad to hear that, have a great time!
A fjord trip is also a good idea. A truly wonderful city full of great people. Thanks for the fantastic video.
Visiting soon 😊 tusen takk
We liked seeing all of these places, but we think Bryggen was our favorite, loved the architecture. Thanks for sharing, have a great week. Greetings from Naples, Florida. (Like 35) 👍💯

I used to fly out of Bergen to the Norwegian oil rigs and platforms in the 80s. I'd get 24hrs in Bergen and loved the place.
You can certainly see and do a lot in 24 hours. Thanks for watching! 🙌
We reach Bergen at the 6.9. with the cruiseship mein Schiff 6 , and you gave me the opportunity to see what we can expect for this day, thank you. We sure will take the Floibanen and walk alone the fishmarket and Brygge . Very nice Video 👍

Good video, sir. You seem to have done your research. There is a lot of history to Bergen, including vikings, pirate attacks and sea battles, so anyone interested in history should absolutely visit too.
Thank you so much for your kind comments, and thanks for watching! :)
A beautiful place. I wish I was there

You think two days are enough to explore this city?
You can definitely tick off most of the highlights in two days yes 🙌
@@lifeinnorway1 Great! What about transportation from/to airport? and within the city? Do you recommend renting a car? I plan to rent it when traveling to other places.
