- Legit, once these are patched, FC25 will be the best CM for at least 8 years, probably longer!
No matter how long you’ve played career mode this year, you’ve probably come across a bug. Even if you’ve just watched FC25 on youtube, you’ll have seen people talking about things that don’t quite work. I’ve put together a list of the 5 biggest ones I could find, and tried to find work-arounds for each of them. Hopefully EA fixes them soon, but it is still possible to enjoy career mode and avoid most of the worst issues.
Before we talk about the bugs, I just want to say that FC25 career mode is one of my favourite i’ve ever played. If you change the settings to be more realistic, you can actually have a tough save with any team in any league. That’s all I've ever wanted. However, there are still 5 bugs that are threatening to ruin everything.

you said if it was dribbling it would be worse but look at youth players dribbling, wingers, strikers and most players overall have 20-40 dribbling, its UNACCEPTABLE.
yeah surprised he hasn't seen it or mentioned it. same goes with jumping and heading way too low
FC 25 has been the most fun I've had with Career Mode in a long time! I really hope EA addresses these bugs and continue to roll out consistent squad updates. Some other bugs/missing features that I've noticed:
1) The game often crashes during press conferences where you can't select an answer, forcing you to quit.
2) Checkpoint saves are completely broken. You can't even load FC 25 if you create one, and autosave seems to overwrite saves even when turned off.
3) You can't edit player positions in default formations (like CDM to CM or LM to LW in 4-2-3-1).
4) No way to track player rating growth over a season, at least as far as I know.
5) You don't receive important notifications, like when you get a transfer offer.
3) You can't edit player positions at all, because that's not how FC IQ works, it's data base and AI trained, so I can understand they removed this, since if you could customise tactical positions, it would probably break the whole game.
5) That's not true at all, I agree that the new task system can be annoying, but you still receive e-mail notifications for everything. The annoying thing is, often there is so much in the task section, that you don'T see you got new e-mails. It's a weird system because in some ways it feels like task are meant to replace e-mails, but the way they did, it looks like this awkward shortcut summary of important things. It's useful, it's a good idea, but the way they did it is a bit awkward.

@@felity1773 you haven't even played the game. All games have bugs, these are minor compared to past games. FC 25 is easily the best since FIFA 12.
All other modern FIFA games are trash compared to 25, the unrealistic online-driven gameplay ruins them, especially the terrible implementation of hypermotion in FIFA 21-24, no mod can save them, I'm never going back to those, and you won't either when you stop being so obtuse and actually play 25, believe me, it's a huge step forward.
Number three. Yes. I agree. Let me move around the players the way I want to play. If I want to play a narrow 4-3-3 then let me. It’s early days so hopefully a patch will fix it.
Another bug I have found is that sometimes I just can't change the menu? Like, I could be stuck on the team management page and see at the top that I am switching to the home page or transfer or whatever, but I just stay stuck at the team management. I then have to click on someone to view in the squad hub or so, then the menu works again.
1:53 aint no way that guy has 1 heading accuracy, is this bro giving away corners to the other team while he's attacking
Press conferences are still stupid, you can still just always encourage or praise and you know what you get
It seemed good in theory but is quite repetitive after the very first press conference
Yeah and it’s ALWAYS focused on players. I thought ea said they’d ask about tactics and, game plans, but I guess not.
ive noticed on wingers aswell they will be 80 pace but dribbling is around 30
That's always been an issue though. In 23 my winger were never above 60-70 pace and if they were their dribbling was then almost always around 30-50 range.
@@FunkyGhostHD that sounds like a u issue I get the pace one sometimes was an issue but the dribbling one wasn’t a common issue previously to this extent
I hate how you can’t manually change a players position by pressing x and moving them around like in fc24. Also can’t tell wingers or strikers to come back and defend when you try to park the bus is really frustrating to me
Horrible thing to take away.
A big one for me is centre backs losing fitness rapidly during matches and not recovering for the next match despite their training plan being “all out fitness” or whatever it’s called
Yeah. VVD can’t play every game. It’s dumb. Can’t figure out a way around it. All my midfielders never get tired though. Ok

Yep stamina is broke af lmao. Wingers and defenders are absolutely dying towards the end of games and In my current save I’m having to rest Zhegrova, Nakamura, Guehi and Branthwaite for two games after every game they play

i absolutely despise the AI faces i've seen in pictures of the academy players. don't know why more people aren't bothered lol
Ehh, some are bad but, not that important. ITs impressive they made them actual kids that grow, I'm willing to accept that.

What do you want to say with that? Career mode is really good in 25, the best in years. All games have bugs.

How about the visual look of a lot of the youth academy players?
Some just look outright silly and resemble edited pro clubs avatars. A lot of the faces just don’t look real.
I prefer how the old youth academy player faces were.

AI transfers won’t get fixed. We’ll continue to see clubs forfeit games because their only keeper is injured or on international duty, and we’ll see 90 rated players stay at second division clubs their whole career. I think the cause of this issue is regens going to the free agent pool, and clubs not signing them. By season 3 or 4 there are thousands of free agents, and clubs only have minimum squad requirements and therefore can’t sell players.
I don’t know of its only me, but I can still only select 7 subs instead of 9
most lower leagues don't have 9 subs

One annoying bug I found was when you click to view the youth academy or the monthly youth reports, the game menu freezes and you have to reboot the game
I also experience when in the home menu of career mode, I can't press any buttons execpt to save the game. so so annoying, forces me to quit when it does it. Anyone else tried this?

it's the first time since FIFA 2000 I'm not going to buy this game because of this BS player roles, i want to have RDM and LCM and CAM! and this game won't decide for me how to play! F this isht!
The worst glitch I've come across is in my LFC women's save. The slavia prague mens team was drawn into my group lol. Also there seems to be a problem with skipping the walkout intro. I skipped it as the line up graphic was on the screen and the graphic got stuck. I actually played the match since it was pretty funny playing with the entire center of the screen blocked out lol.

The game is alright. Some things are fun, other are okay. Gameplay is absolutely horrible and I hate it so much that I just can't play it for long. I hate the changes they've made to it. Things like a pass over 3m goes to an opponent 15m away as the player the game wanted to pass to is behind that opponent. It's so ridiculous. The defenders are always quicker than some of the fastest players in the game (e.g. Adeyemi can never outrun a defender). The players are often in the wrong position with 2-3 players in like 1-3m². It's stupid, it's insane. It is bad gameplay.
Idk if it’s just bc my players are low rating but when doing a ground pass, almost 30% of the time it’s slightly popped off the ground and in the air. I hate it. It’s extremely annoying to lose the ball from ground passes that are randomly lobbed

I played with barcelona and the players can’t even play the same formation that they do in real life… why can’t pedri play as a defensive midfielder when hes play that position in real life
This game on PC is a complete joke. Controller issues, countless bugs, terrible UI. The gameplay might be decent but wow the game is bad right now.
My two saves have been ruined by a game breaking bug where every youth academy player I promoted loses there potential to at club since even if it’s way more than 80+

That's not a game breaking bug. I don't know for sure, but this could be intentional, and it has always been this way that the potential prediction in the youth team is not accurate, maybe its based on the scout, and if he doesn't have good judgement it won't be accurate?
@@RuuyG in the youth academy I had a player with 92-94 potential I promoted him and he then had a max of 80 potential so it seems like a bug
It’s pretty gamebreaking for me because I play youth academy career modes and it’s happened to every player in every save
@@jakephillips6761 yes I understood what you mean, and as said, I've had that too, but that has always been the case. I don'T know if this is a bug or intentional.
This is most definetely not a game breaking bug though.
I don't know about this year, but, in past versions players would only get the tags "showing great potential" and so on when they were above 60 overall

Really annoying....i have a scout report stuck on my tasks for 3 players.
the youth bugs will get reworked, thats on hold for me until its fixed. Having a blast with a proper realistic rebuild in low leagues without any youth academy though
Anyone else's Goalkeeper drop every shot and concede about 90% of goals due to his butter fingers?!
AI squad building is vital for career mode to function properly. Save your money if you're an offline player.
You haven’t mentioned the bug where players stand still when on the ball and that guy in the middle of the pitch with his arms out
Player Career mode is a struggle to play currently because of the second man press glitch. Your AI Teammates 9 times out of 10 will just let the opponent AI dribbled past them like they’re a training cone, and if you try a second man press your Player is basically uncontrollable.
Also there is not a single Player Development training that targets penalty or free kicks.
At least not from what i've seen, i did just skim over all the positions but i'm pretty sure i didn't see
any position train in those two areas.
The player swap bug , when i reject any deal have swap player the notification stay there do not go away
Bro the managers faces are completely broken! I'm playing with River Plate and selected Marcelo Gallardo as my manager. The preview of his face is correct but as soon as I choose him, he becomes another person, different face. On top of that as soon as I play the FIRST game, HE CHANGES HAIR and gets a PONY TAIL. I can't play this mode like this. It kills the immersion.
Once again seems like it's a beta at full price. Such a shame. I won't be getting until a sale!
For real though, thanks for videos like this. For me, it's not worth the time and money right now until these are fixed.

I've found the most trouble with the youth academy, it's funny because they brought in such great features such as the youth tournaments and the many new nations you can scout, but so many things have been going wrong that didn't in previous games.
I think most people have already seen the stats the youth players have such as the extremely low heading, but I've also found that the potential of youth players is much lower, and it is quite hard to find high potential players.
Is that just me? or has anyone else found that the 70-94 kind of potential is much more rare?
(TBF My experience is a smallish sample size, I haven't tried scouting heaps and heaps.
I changed the CPU crossing frequency to 99 and CPU still don’t cross the ball 😂 honestly this game is broken how do they not notice these things before they release the game? £70 and the game is always broken when it comes out
Some coaches face change at the start of career mode when you decide to edit their outfit, pre installed gloves do not come off of them if you save an edit on them. Intros show players on wrong positions during the graphics card showing where they are positioned. So many bugs. Also, how Does Alphonso Davies not outrun a single player on this game? He's top fastest in the Bundesliga.
Anyone encountering issues in the team sheet on ps5? Can’t swap starters out for subs, and if you open up the manage team tab in a match it freezes the game. Career mode is completely unplayable as it stands :’(
What about the most common bug where player keep juggling the ball and lose it?
i have this little bug that every academy player has long hair
Also sometimes the menus crashes and i have to go to the main menu and back to career mode

Playing pure manage mode, and watch my games on tactile mode, and I’ve noticed CAM players soon as they get the ball retreat to their own defence or goalkeeper with the ball, even if not being closed down.

Does somebody else have those situations where for no reason the player pushes the ball far in front or lifts it and you end up missing a lot of goal opportunities,or its some AI they have implemented to make the game "more realistic" cause its the same controls i have been used to for years,moving with the direction buttons instead of the joystick,and double taping the sprint to sprint faster but its always doing that unnecessary lift or pushing too far away and in the air
They need to let us edit youth players using the new cranium technology, image the faces you could make. People have been asking for more customisation in career mode and they just dont listen
Frustrating that they did not link the new FCIQ and player roles to CPU transfer strategies. Also give us a slider for transfers.
Playing on the PC and using a controller. When i go into the youth academy tournament sometimes the input is the m&k but it doesnt actually work so i have to either just loose (cant forfeit because my controller or whatever isnt on either side) or quit out the game. kind of annoying
When looking at my team sheet the colours of the attributes are all white apart from defending and physical which really annoys me
Already came across Youth goalkeeper diving stats being ridiculously low. Also had to restart my career mode due to the fixed rate training glitch 🤦♂️ didn’t clock it until a few games in.
One of my youth keepers has 94 potential but has started with less than 10 in his diving stat lol. Not sure how long it’ll take to get that up

I had so much hope and there still is hope once the bugs are patched. I stopped playing the game until these are patched because it is unplayable when youth academy is such a important aspect in career mode

Those who have played multiple seasons in their saves with youth players - are the youth tournaments worth playing or not? I recently started my save and am halfway through the first season and I have played every youth tournament, but I don't really see much in terms of youth player growth... so unless it makes an actual difference, it would be a waste of time to play those tournaments...
Is there any notice from ea saying they are going to do a patch? Or there is any precendent of older years

What about the MENUS
Bro, the tactic thing instead of separate tabs for formations and stuff is so annoying; every time I try to change my formation, it doesn't save even if I keep trying it. (this is on Seasons mode by the way)
A way around this in seasons is to create the tactics/formation you want to use, then take a picture of the tactic code. Then go to create new tactic using a a code and enter the code.

Dunno if its the same everywhere, but in Player Career, my AI teammates NEVER defend and I mean NEVER....they will just run at the side of the attacker or back peddle if infront, they never stick their leg out......the only way the ball gets taken is if the attacker walks into them (which is also another old FIFA bug).....
Also goalkeeper diving is absolutely ridiculous in this game and looks very glitchy. I went top right when goalie was already preparing to crouch and he just spring boarded up and saved my shot.
In player carrer it's a common thing that has been in the game for a long time
Your only hope is to hold the press button and hope for the best
You have to user your teammates to avoid this from happening
One particularly annoying bug for me is that I cannot change the starting line up on my Youth Tournament, so I am stuck with people who I do not want to improve..
Does the lineup matter ? Because I use every player on the 4 position there is

I think FC 25 is one of the best football games ever and easily the best since 12. There is no other football game that comes close to the levels of realism of FC IQ + simulation mode. Also the new manager career features and options are really good, although the usage of many, like menus in general, is awkward. I think these were made with players like me in mind, like "they are hardcore players so they will use it anyway, even if it's cumbersome" which is true for me at least. "and the casuals will just ignore this".
