I’m a massive Bury fan and have been all my life. We currently play in the North West Counties Football League. It’s not quite league one but just glad to have my club back
Became a bury fan because I played as them on fifa 08 on my ds. Thought the crest looked cool and they were my favorite color, blue. (Also since they used to be the worst rated club in the game and would always follow them. Can't watch them live because I live in the US, but rooting for them in the NWCFL and FA cup which they won their match today. Was hoping I'd see them promoted last year but lost in pk's
@@ttstrikehilariousdudesimilar reason but I heard about the club during fifa 18 or 19 (about the time they got kicked out of the football league) then followed Bury Afc when they were founded and followed them through the merger and till NWCFL I guess I wouldn't be considered a fan since I don't live anywhere close to England and my knowledge of the club comes from videos but I still want to watch a game at Giggs Lane one day
6:20 Now, fun fact, CA Bastia should not have been the worst team in France's history for any longer than a single season. This is because, the very next season, Luzenac AP finished 2nd in the National, in what is normally a promotion position. However, they were denied their earned promotion due to the fact that their stadium was *far* too small. I mean, their stadium has a capacity of 1.6k people (supposedly, probably standing), and you can fit the village's population 3x into that stadium. Following their denied promotion, they were forced to release all their first team players, and playing only their reserve team in the 7th tier, where they still are today. That would have been a fun save though, taking the nation's smallest ever (would-have-been) professional side and trying to avoid relegation.
I feel like CD Guadalajara from FIFA 12 deserve a shout. It was like playing with a relegation fighting League 1 team against a whole league of championship clubs. York City from FIFA 13 is also a great shout.
I think CF Reus in FIFA 19 is a very interesting save as well. Playing in the 2nd Spanish tier, they folded midway through the season. EA reacted to this by replacing their players with their actual B team from the February updates onwards. This resulted in a team that mostly contained players in the low 60s, averaging 61 OVR at the end of the season. This was 6 OVR lower than the next worst team and 9 OVR lower than the league average. Reus had a bit of a transfer budget (£1.3m), but not quite enough to bridge the gap to the other teams. This made for a very hard challenge that I absolutely enjoyed back on FIFA 19!
I feel like we all tried to take UCD Dublin to glory, and I love that you can most likely put academy players into starting 11 from the start of the save
I actually signed on with UCD in an FC24 save after getting fired from Livingston and Rose County in consecutive seasons. One of my favorite career builds. Nearly everyone was a youth player who’d risen up. Ton of fun after never been exposed to SSE football
I did a save with Gaz Metan Medias a while ago, I've found 3 academy players that fit well into the squad, having 58, 60 and 61 rating respectively and they turned out to grow like crazy, at the end of the season all of them reaching between 65 and 68. We finished the 1st season 4th in the relegation group, translated as 10th out of 16th. I've picked up a couple of free agents that were realistic and one of them was a 67 rated LWB that I decided to convert into a LW, growing all the way to 76. 2nd season was great, reached playoffs and finished 4th, 2 points away from a european competiton, but we won the cup in that season and we had a spot in Europa League qualifications. 3rd season had the team make around 10 million euros in player sales and brought some of the known Romanian players at the club (Burca, Ratiu and Dragus) and we were able to qualify into Europa League group stages where we finished 3rd with 6 points, but in the Conference League, we've drawn Trabzonspor and lost 4-2 or 5-2 on aggregate, can't exactly remember. Domestic wise, we finished 2nd in the league and won another cup, bloody 62 rated backup striker scored the winner in the 89th minute. 4th season started off by losing to LASK in the playoffs of Europa League, 3-1 on aggregate, but we were on a run in the UECL, topped a group filled with Union Berlin, Elfsborg and Hajduk Split, picking up 11 points.
I know what you mean at the start - I think I played a handful of times with 'bigger' clubs, maybe Real Madrid or Barcelona, or Man United (this was 15 years ago...), or Liverpool, but every time I'd get bored after about 20 minutes. Winning everything is boring. I'm a Southampton fan, I wasn't used to winning everything, I needed to get my teeth into a gritty battle for survival! So I'd usually go with a League Two team, maybe Barnet or Darlington or Grimsby or Cheltenham (before they were good), and have so much fun trying to cobble together a squad to fight for 22nd in League Two, then maybe 16th, or 7th, and slowly, slowly begin a quest for world domination...
Also another fun fact: In the 2nd Bury clip, they had David Flitcroft who was the manager of my team from 2017-18 season at STFC and almost got us up. Plus my team in FIFA 07 were only rated ovr 50, still not as bad as Burys's, but still pretty bad and our highest rated player was Michael Timlin at 60 ovr, and we were in the same league as them, mind you we went up in 3rd that szn in 2006-07, but it's soooo good to see that Bury are back, same thing happens in Motorcycle Speedway.
Fifa 2005 was first when i choose Bury FC for manager career. That was a moment when i become their fan. This team with young David Nugent was great to play. And i agree that career in Bury in FIFA 07 is one of the hardest, but also most satisfying for play.
@@davidkovacs6428 ok it might have been when in FIFA 19 when I was 3 years in, Jahn were omega bankrupt and I got sacked from Paris FC, I got the job cause I saw that I was staying in the second division of a football system then, *oh lord*
Up The Shakers! The 2020 team is fair enough but the ratings for the 07 team are very harsh. Plenty of those players were crap but we also had some very good talents in that squad. Nicky Adams, Andy Bishop, Marc Pugh, Richie Baker...good times.
I haven't played FIFA in years but the Youth Academy used to be so ridiculously overpowered. Even with 3* scouts, you could have a team capable of challenging for the CL within 5 or 6 seasons. Good fun, don't me wrong.
I actually did Burnley on FIFA 15 after I was sacked as Fulham manager mid-season. I brought in a young Yussuf Poulsen who partnered up with Danny Ings up front & Oussama Assaidi who was devastating for me on the LW. I dug them out of relegation in the 2019/20 season and then left for Man City.
A Chilean here, Managed to watch that god awful San Luis team, No one in chile spected them to survive relegation back in 2018. They had very old players. Its even worse when you realise that after their relegation in 2018 they have been trying to Survive relegation in the Primera B, His main striker is a 42 year old btw.😭
I lived in bury for a period of time so I always chose them to start a save from the early days on fifa it's no joke playing a bigger team was a thrill trying to nick a goal then managing the stamina after wave after wave of attack sometimes they scored but what a buzz when you knock them out bare in mind big teams include the top of league 1 and upwards because every squad outclassed you I can't remember many names Ryan Lowe was good but good memories
As a Liverpool fan i feel the hardest saves are those using Man Utd or Everton. So to this day i've NEVER tried those team on career mode, i don't want to bring success to these teams. Lol.

UD Vecindario in FIFA 07 is another hard save. The lowest rated team in Spain 2nd division and their only appearance in FIFA.
They also have a tiny stadium, so less revenue from tickets.
