TL in the studio recording "Wild" by Javier Salinas

This is a really fun track from the upcoming Javier Salinas album. The incredible Bryan Beller is on bass. This song has lots of little twists and turns. I really enjoy recording Javier's music and as always I like to record only full takes. This one happens to be take 1 of 4 and I like the fresh vibe on this one.

@Thomas Lang you have to acknowledge his proficiency and talent. He makes it sound flawless and look effortless. I’m not sure if he’s recording in the same room with the other musicians because it looks like he’s getting visual cues from somewhere. But as always a league of his own. God bless from Fiji. What a band could have Dream Theater become if there was Thomas sitting behind the drums. Mangini is so boring, no groove, no soul. Despite his world records, means nothing without musicality.

I was schocked to discover, that the tracks Mangini did for Extreme on "Waiting for the punchline" are the ones sounding very boring and stiff drum wise - while the rest of the album grooves mad like hell thanks to Paul Geary.

Wow, both Mr. Mangini & Mr. Lang are amazing percussionists. They can read music and both can groove. There was a reason why DT chose Mangini and not Lang. The same is true for any musician in any band. Jeez, imagine if, at the job you do, your co workers said "wow imagine how better this company could have been if we hired Peter instead of boring Alexander". Every musician has their groove. People do read your words and it can hurt. Don't go hating on accomplished people. If you can do better than put your hat in the ring.
