As I go through your video, I'll post some quick tips and re-edit my comment to add them:
1 - iwctl station connect then put in your Wi-Fi password when you are prompted. I prefer this rather than interactive mode.
2 - You should install microcode in the additional packages. intel-ucode or amd-ucode.
3 - on first boot, nmtui to setup network. It's ncurses menu driven and just easy.
4 - Great video. Thank you!

I use Linux less than a year. I used Ubuntu, last month I migrate to Manjaro, and this week I migrate to Arch. I never saw a graphic S.O. in this way, and I loved. One day, when I learn more about arch, maybe one day, I will install your version. So much beatiful. I love the transparent without top bar terminal.

@@zakirdeshmukh9916 try to find out what you want to do with your computer; coding, video editing, music authoring, etc. and find a distro that fits your needs and desired effort level. Arch is nice but it does require a lot of knowledge about configuring your system from scratch. An out of the box distro might get you going quicker but you may lose out on the opportunity to force yourself to learn the intricacies of linux and arch.
Arch does have an official install script now. I recommend if you do use arch choose the desktop setting and choose a launcher of your choice. This should get you a graphical interface to start you off with and you can go from there.

Hello thank you for the comment, I appreciate it very much :) I am working on a "V2" for this setup with a bit more functionality and a graphical login manager which would make this whole thing a bit more complete. if you dont want to wait you can look into sddm specifically the sddm-git version on Arch you will need to do the following:
      yay -S sddm-git
      sudo systemctl enable sddm
On your next login you would have a graphical login screen but please note that you may have tty switching login issues and possible logout issues so you may have to hit the ctrl+alt+F2 through F6 keys to get out of black screen. on my V2 version I hope to solve most of these issues with the install script. Hi there, thank you so much for the video, amazing experience just by looking. I have a mini version of your laptop (asus G14 with rtx 3050ti), were you able to have suspend working on your laptop ? On my end, i get sometimes a freeze pc after awake or blackscreen. Best regards

The zephyrus g14 is no where near a mini version of the strix g15, they're from entirely different lines with entirely different design philosophies, one being normal bulky gaming laptop and the other being a thin and light gaming laptop.

@@vali69 hi there, do you have suspend working?

Hello, I assume we are talking about Linux so... I have no issues with suspending the laptop. One thing you may want to make sure is that you have a large enough swap space as that could cause what you're experiencing. Here is a link to some lite reading ;) wiki.archlinux.org/title/Power_management/Suspend_and_hibernate Thank you for watching!

@@SolDoesTech I followed your fedora tutorial but never got suspend to work right, sometimes it freezes and sometimes it just don't let me put my password when awake from suspend

@@christophesilva9853 I wish I had more to suggest but unfortunately its an issue that I am not equip to troubleshoot :( I would highly recommend the Fedora forums as a good place to start discussion.fedoraproject.org/ hope you are able to find a solution there.

I'm a power user but i have weird habit to watch noob tutorials, idk why, maybe i just feel nostalgic about times when i was noob myself and had a lot to learn 🤨

Nice video and thanks for sharing your config files Sol. Everything worked great, but when I shutdown earlier for dinner, I wasn't able to boot into the Hyprland desktop when I returned. I found myself in a tty, so I restarted your script and that got me back to a desktop. I am not sure what I might've done wrong, but maybe I should install a display manager like sddm or lightdm. Before I do that what config file do you think I should take a look at first?

:) glad you were able to figure it out. Thank you for the comment, much appreciated. I am working on a "V2" of this project and I am going to include a graphical display manager to help with the login process. Thank you for watching!

@@G-3-A-R-Z Thanks H S...I really love linux, so many great distros, desktop environments, & now I am getting into some WM's. I am impressed that your mom uses EndeavourOS @70. Most folks in my age group are running Linux Mint if they are into Linux at all. Nothing wrong with that as it is an excellent distro, but an Arch based distro requires a bit more maintenance. Does your mom know how to chroot into EOS when something like a Grub update borks her system? I am betting she does!

very interesting. I recently installed arch on a new pc i got and went with KDE then installed hyprland from the aur and following the wiki.. it's such a pain to setup compared to this method. I might actually just whipe the entire thing and do this at this point.
