First of all very good tut just when I finished installing Arch please explain to me why it did not show the dark terminal that you had? It directly boot into gnome and I used kitty to follow hyprland installation. After that I rebooted and changed the desktop. When booting into hyprland I have a context menu opened at the top with some error saying that some packages of hyprland were missing. Any help?

Quick question. Arch newbie here. I installed this alongside Wayland, unaware that it isn't the same as something like installing a DE on Ubuntu, where you can just remove it and start pretty fresh. I ended up not needed Hyprland since i don't care much about ricing and didn't need all the utilities and functionality. Is there an easy way to remove all of this without losing data? I forgot to create a snapshot. Wayland was significantly laggier, terminal looked bad due to conflicting configs, etc.

My Asus rog strix is now 2 years old and issues with its original configuration: - wifi will crash when gaming and if you move laptop slightly, then boom! wifi disappears. It is back after restart. Possible cause: wifi card is very badly placed UNDER the freaking m.2 hard disk! Both generate heat. - ethernet slot - very bad. Plugged ethernet cable is very loose in that slot and gives bad connection, very slight movement of laptop, if cable wiggles slightly - boom! - network connection disconnected. It is possibly a good idea to move hard disk from slot 1 to slot 2 even, to spread heating a bit.

after running ./set-hypr, i can access my login but after logging in it freezes. i used another login manager called ly which can successfully log me in with no hiccups but theres an error in my screen: Config error in file /home/(my user)/.config/hypr/hyprland.conf at line 75: config <decoration:drop_shadow> does not exist. Config error in file /home/(my user)/.config/hypr/hyprland.conf at line 76: config <decoration:shadow_range> does not exist. ...and many more. did i install something wrong? how do i fix this? the only thing i did not do is install asus rog support.

I've followed all the steps and in the moment of start Hyprland it crush :C

Nice video, good walk through. I recommend getting the tools from OEMS like Microsoft or Asus, they also offer similar tools not open source, but free. and you don't have to deal with Sourceforge which is a joke these days, spammy adverts and ultraslow.

Unfortnuately, this script failed for me durnig the step(s) of restarting modules. I had to ctrl+c myself out of there. In the end, I went with ML4W's script, which ended up working flawlessly. Maybe this needs to be updated? Anyways, thank you still for the effort!
