Just want to stop and say hello from Minnesota in the United States! Your reviews are extremely detailed, thoughtful and professional! I really appreciate your videos and you just seem like a great guy!
Dear Thomas, Nice compilation. Hard to make a choice. Perhaps simpler to cite those which are the least dreamy. Thank you very much for all these good and detailed reports. Happy new year.
No one from “luxury “ brands will admit that trowing tablets and piano scratchy black is lot more cost effective & eye catchy at first sight. For a frank review ask ex-engineer etc and the answers will make a lot of sense for the cost-cutting strategy for the brands that once were true luxury and showed a lot of respect for their buyers.
I am usually rude about Mercedes, so let me be nice about the pick of these AMGs. The GT two door without sensible room for anyone in the back is the outstanding pick of this review. It looks wonderful. If you can get it with some of the Matt Mercedes paint it will be sensational. The engineering is remarkable and something you could live with for years. And I think I would rather have it than a 911. The interior looks absolutely the sort of thing Gucci might have imagined when they wanted to charge a bit more than usual. All that is saying a lot because I do not really like Mercedes cars in general. The bit they really have screwed up is the UI/UX which is simply unusable. Mercedes have also made their cars ridiculously over complicated and over engineered. What I kept seeing in this multi car review was an Alfa Romeo with its Ferrari designed six cylinder, its wonderful handling, doubtful quality interior, and rudimentary infotainment (in my view a huge plus). I can afford the Mercs, but would just so much rather have the Alfa. Mercedes, go figure.
I like the C43 personality. It's all I will ever need being retired and out of the drive it in the ground age. Definitely want the other seats. Looks like a perfect fit for my style. ❤
@romanmesina.... Not so fast.. This German/American recently took delivery of a spec-to-order '23 E-450 4-Matic T-Model All Terrain.. The 3.0l inline 6cly turbo w/9sp gearbox is sublime..
The E-Class owners hate the CLE, because it's a C-Class basically, but at an E-Class like price. I personally think Mercedes shouldn't have abandoned the CLS. That would have been the go-to model for the E-Class to move on from. I see the CLE more as what the 335i was for BMW back in the day - a cranked up M3 at the price of a 5 Series. But I think this car will be better for Mercedes than the 335i was for BMW! So, to me it's a car in its own. And come on, Mercedes sports coupes are in their blood!
Although the looks of the AMG GT are stunning, I’d get another 911 if I wanted a dedicated sports car. So, I prefer my GLE AMG 63s!!! It’s beautiful inside & out with plenty of performance and comfort. Living in Florida with some of the most oblivious drivers, I prefer the mass and security of the SUV 😂 AMG is amazing
Love your calm voice, professional approach and detailed opinion. I’m in New York and seriously considering AMG GLE 53 Coupe (twilight blue 😉) I have tall teenagers who will need to take roadtrips to visit colleges and universities. My only hesitation is the gas mileage- it’s a very thirsty machine. Do you have any intel about the hybrid model coming to the USA and if it’s worth waiting for?
Cpacative actually IS more expensive from a programming standpoint but my hunch is that they are more sustainable or possibly less wear in the long run than traditional. Also as an owner of a w206, they aren’t bad at all. I think it’s a journalist issue not an owner issue. Same with the exhaust “pipes” on the non-AMG models. No one owning one cares and no one is checking as they pass my car parked on the street loo
As full hybrid i would have understood, but as plug in I don’t really get it. Who is going to charge a performance sport sedan ? I don’t think who buy those type of cars cares much about environmentally friendly ride.
I've test driven all these cars several times because I really wanted to have an AMG exhaust note, and rejected them all for BMW M3, Mini and Porsche. There is absolutely nowhere that Mercedes shines, speed, handling, infotainment, grand touring. They are all overweight, extremely stiff and uncomfortable cars with the least intuitive infotainment system in the market. Such a shame. Only the old ones make sense. The new ones can not compete with BMW & Porsche cars in their categories.
All very beautiful and I’m a fan of that matte white and gray paint. I am NOT a fan of the black wheels with the silver outer ring. Looks like white wall tires. Lol And Mercedes is doing this on all models from what it looks like.
Perfectly done. Nothing compares to the 2024 GT63 Coupe for me... but overall everything was well taken. Very impressive rundown of all of them. The only thing distracting was the girl wearing underwear in a car showroom at 9:10 😄

Hello. I think your reviews are quite good and thorough and well-researched. Those metaphoric seat controls that have been a Benz staple for as long as I remember were so awesome and they're having been replaced is a terrible decision. Also, I wonder if full genuine animal-sourced leather upholstery will still be available as an option because making vegan 'leather' standard is clearly a not so cleverly disguised cost saving measure disguised as some asinine other thing. I give this idea a heartfelt Dickensian "Bah. Humbug!"
Same thing regarding the recent absence of the beautiful burled genuine wooden trim that had been a Mercedes Benz hallmark. Can you still even get that if you want? What happened to the luxury?
Thank you very much for your interest in this topic. I also bought cars with animal skin leather seats before I did my research and got to know the industry. The most important thing is: With today's modern materials, you have nothing to lose, just to gain. You achieve the same kind of luxury and comfort or even better while having the same or better durability with less impact on humans, animals and the environment. You can use fabric/cloth, microfibre or leatherette. The classic approach is using oil/plastic as source material. Overall, a vehicle contains about 300 kg plastic. A car seat needs about 5 kg plastic. So the overall plastic share for the seats is very low and it is at this moment the most efficient way to produce a car seat. A couple of litres of fuel equals a car seat basically. So if you want to save oil/plastic, rather look at consumption for energy, fuel and heating and to other car parts than the seat. Note that animal skin leather also always contains a plastic coating for durability. However, long-term we should of course find raw oil alternatives. So going further, seats can be made from recyclables (e.g. from PET-bottles or old fishing nets) or even increased share of plant-based materials (like pine oil, canola oil or start-up materials like Pinatex from pineapple leaves or Desertex from cactus fibre or the mixed-plant-based Mirum, so be seen at ua-cam.com/video/S1aNZeoatmE/v-deo.html). On a calculation base, by ditching animal skin leather from car interiors, the amount of emissions (CO2e) is reduced by 85 (!) % (www.press.bmwgroup.com/africa-dom-easteurope/article/detail/T0403389EN/on-the-market-from-2023:-bmw-and-mini-models-with-vegan-interiors?language=en) - and that is a very conservative calculation. So it is at this moment the most important thing you can do to make car interiors more sustainable. A good example for high-end luxury with ventilated animal free seats is the BMW X7 with Sensafin: ua-cam.com/video/1pRNkW9nrrw/v-deo.html And the Kia EV9 with plant-based oil share: ua-cam.com/video/6vXePQi_MAk/v-deo.html New leatherette materials can be superior in every aspect, even for cleaning: ua-cam.com/video/u94YXJ72UTA/v-deo.html More and more natural materials are rising: ua-cam.com/video/nRSsXEnwHDo/v-deo.html Also check out what the animal skin leather industry tried to with our channel: ua-cam.com/video/nP_CvLlaFlI/v-deo.html For seeing how the animals are being treated and transported in the global leather industry, watch this footage: ua-cam.com/video/tkjCAmq1_8E/v-deo.html Note that the footage is genuine and was recorded by a highly decorated investigative journalist in Germany I know myself personally. In a high animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter. However even if meat is the "first" misuse case, the hide remains a profitable body part. That means: If manufacturers put animal leather in a car and you demand it as a customer, you give your money to an industry that earns money by oppressing humans, animals and harms the environment, you make them more profitable. Alternatively, you could support industries with your wallet which try to improve the sustainability of materials. Also, if you turn the argument around to "meat is the waste of the leather industry" you realize that it doesn't make sense (and is ethically doubtful) to discuss the primary use of individual body parts of mammals. Mind experiment: You are getting slain down on the street; would it matter to you if it was for your smartphone or for your purse? We cannot change what we have bought in the past, but with more information and compassion we can change how we decide in the future.
This “S E Performance” crap is ruining some of the Merc cars of today and for tomorrow cause no one asked for it at all but then again I understand they have to obey and comply with these emission laws
@@michaelschneider- thank you for the answer, but kind-of not really good. U C I come to work in my S212 open the boot put my foot on the lip and do my laces, well & comfortable. but in the eqe hatch or sedan, even though Thomas won't give the geight, I can judge by the height of his legs, I would have to raise my foot some 20 cm higher, which would be nightmare to do. the same in eqe suv (former gle) even though the volume inside of estate is the same as in suv. thank you for the answer anyway.
They used to laugh at the "fake"....... now they are doing it? .. since chinese are financially involved n invading most of European car makers, even Mercedes... its getting so "cheap n fake"... moreover losing their "greatness".. so sad.. so sad...

@autogefuehl you provided a lot of insight. But a preference is still a preference. For high-end cars, I prefer to have leather. For commuter cars, cloth seats are fine for me.

My pick would be the new cle 53. Overall, a nice car with the most affordable price.
Capacitive is cheaper, don't let them fool you
I think so too.
The new AMG GT63, such a gorgeous V8 coupé 🔥
Pleasure listening to you speak and you're professionalism and enthusiasm is contagious. Awesome review.
Cheers please recommend!

Dear Thomas,
Nice compilation. Hard to make a choice. Perhaps simpler to cite those which are the least dreamy.
Thank you very much for all these good and detailed reports.
Happy new year.
+1 .. The 2024 MB AMG GT63 Coupe is going to be a hit.. Finish ours in MB Grey Metallic w/ Creme Beige ....
By all means, debadge that puppy..

2012 Mercedes Benz S65 AMG is the best hands down
I love the T Model. Much better than any SUV. Americans have no clue how good this model is.

As usual beautiful Alpina watch !
The CLE is the worst one, I'd prefer the older E53 coupe rather than the CLE.
Seriously bro? Seriously ?
@@ogabchemseddine1654 you are buying literally a C coupe with an E coupe price and you say you like it? Seriously bro?
Idk whose brilliant idea it was to remake the c63
Did someone ask for your opinion?
The E-Class owners hate the CLE, because it's a C-Class basically, but at an E-Class like price. I personally think Mercedes shouldn't have abandoned the CLS. CLE 53 looks so nice like a W205 coupe with a fatter rear
Now, the CLE53 looks like an M4
Its a journey from ICE to EV
and so it is correct to move from 8cyl to 6cyl to 4cyl
you may not like it but you have no choice

AMG is amazing
Can MB please stop with the bullshit buttons and high gloss black, so I can buy a MB again.
I hate them.
I mean the buttons and high gloss.
Agree hate the capacitive touch buttons. Give me a dial for the temp, fan and volume!
Great question in the label!
I just bought 3 BMWs.
Thomas you have shown that the European roads are far better than Southern California roads.
The one that I personally prefer is the GLs 63 but not on your list.
Hello, Thomas, make a Mercedes AMG film, I didn't expect to be surprised!

I don’t like black wheels. In my mind all wheels look best as alloys in pure silver. 👌

Thanks for all
This “S E Performance” crap is ruining some of the Merc cars of today and for tomorrow cause no one asked for it at all but then again I understand they have to obey and comply with these emission laws

any news on eqe t-model? danke
you get this: ua-cam.com/video/XDqj79I4MJQ/v-deo.html
The EQE is kind-of a T-model.. Kind-of.
@@utube521 .. So true... I would never exchange our '23 S213 E-450 T-Model for an SUV.. Never..

What's with "animal free" comments? Who wants fake leather on their cars?

@autogefuehl you provided a lot of insight. But a preference is still a preference. For high-end cars, I prefer to have leather. For commuter cars, cloth seats are fine for me.
