What a great song. How can you sit still when you hear this music. A good song tells a story and this song does. I love got me a Chrysler and it seats about 20!! How fun.
Julie..always think of her enjoying herself, free and happy and singing her heart out bless her.. Salt of the earth is this lady..always there for you..full of love and care for others. x
Now this is a classic! The B-52s rule!!! I always liked Fred Schneider and his voice! i liked the female singer also. Kids need to listen to classics bands like these guys! no joke!
I gotta ask the dj at my school to play this at the Valentines day dance. Everyones gonna be sitting down, but only me and maybe a couple of other kids will be dancing. xD
It couldn't have been said better. I was a teenager in the 90's and I remember watching the openness and friendliness I experienced as a child in the 80's slowly fade away. I wasn't too young to know which way we were heading, and unfortunately, we have gotten there.
I heard this song yesterday at an area Arby's restaurant, which was playing an '80's music channel on sirius/xm. It was the first time I heard this song in years. I had totally forgotten this is a classic '80's song.
LOVE this tune. Hiring Sara Lee to bring some sophistication to their bass lines is the smartest music decision they ever made. Plus, it's fun to see her wearing colorful clothes and having fun while she kicks ass and takes names!
For a long LONG time I hated this song. Really just HA-TED it. I don't know why, but I just really hated it. But then something happened, and now I love it. I love this song now. Why... I don't know. I just know that now I LOVE this song.
anyone else notice the kid drumming looks like corbin bleu? oh love shack, you won me so many trophies when i danced to this song in my pageant days!! classic and always will be!!!!!!
Explaining to my 17 year old Son that 'Daddy was not always a good man' and Round 1990 when I got a 6yr bird this was one of my feel good tunes that reminded me of 'street' Then I met his Mum
I love this song. It takes me back to the 80's. Best music was made then. Every time it plays, it still makes me wanna "get down baby." Unfortunately, my various boyfriends hated this song, and never wanted to dance to it. So I kicked my shoes off and dance like a fool. Thanks for posting this great song, and the memory trip.
Back in the 80s I liked this song but I thought it would be forgotten, now many would put it on their list of 100 greatest 80s hits. It deserves to be there.
I just had to come here and listen to some fun music and get my groove on! (Dealing with some real winners who think with their rectums!) Wouldn't it be nice if we all could go to the love shack and get our groove on! Peace & Love!
I think of all the songs that I've come across in my first year of music in 1989, this one brings the biggest smile to my face! This song is pure happiness! This was the very first song by The B-52s that I ever heard and by far, their very best song! I learnt alot about Athens, Georgia when I was 12. I love the happy retro summer vibe of this music video! The song, the band and the music video have such an energy to it! There are so many parts of the song and video I like, especially that last minute! Definitely one of the best songs of 1989 - period! Still love listening to this song these days at the supermarket. #B52sLOVESHACK
How could anyone dislike this song? Brimming with happiness and positivity all the way through, this is the first time I've seen this video and it was exactly as expected. If you don't like music like this or you don't feel the urge to dance, something is terribly wrong!
I like 70s to 90s my era ,electronic music and also good written music ,Abba fantastic song writers with good melodies and great bands like queen and superb talent like the pet shop boys ,fantastic music we all love it
The 80s were anything but a simple time, as anyone who lived through them will tell you, regardless of how old they were at the time. It's these darn kids today who think it was all one big MTV video party. Consarnit.
