Realize that the majority of us heard this music when we were in our teens or twenties. We are now over 60, we’ve all lost one if not both of our parents. We’re crying with you.

You nailed it. This song is about his dad. It hits me hard as well. I lost both of my parents 11 days apart, 3 years ago, my mom to Alzheimer's, my dad to Covid. I miss them both, but my mom especially, because we talked every day until Alzheimer's made her forget how to use the phone. This is such a good reaction. This is my first time watching one of your reactions. It won't be the last.
I am so sorry for your loss and I do understand what you are going through. I lost my Dad in 2010, my only sibling in 2015 and my Mom in 2016. And now I am providing care for the friend who kept me sane after I lost my family because she has dementia. So I loose more of her every day. All I can do is pray for the strength to keep keeping on and the ability to take care of my responsibilities. God bless you and everyone who is struggling.
I'm more than sorry you are dealing with such a deep loss. The heartache is.overwhelming and just know that your parents loved you so much they wouldn't want.you to hurt because they aren't physically with you any longer. They live still, in you and your children and their children. Life is precious❤
I'm so sorry for your tremendous loss. I lost my husband and my mother 18 days apart, between Thanksgiving and Christmas 2012. I played this song a lot then. My prayers are with you.
Covid was a cruel hit to many n Alzheimer's is a devastating disease to the patient AND the family .I'm a retired Alzheimer's nurse .I've seen the pain n heartache on both sides .I'm so sorry for your losses😢😢😢❤❤❤🫂🫂🫂
I’m almost 59 years old. I’ve heard this song almost forever but I never thought it might be about parents. I always presumed it was about a lover that had been lost. I lost my Dad when I was 19 and my Mom when I was 22. So now you got me bawling like a baby and, you know, that’s OK. Thank you for your perspective; it really has opened my eyes and touched my heart profoundly. I will hear this song differently forever. Thank you. I’m not crying, you’re crying. 😉🙏🏻
Same here, although it's so clear now from the lyrics about home, and teaching, etc. I lost my mom a year ago and this is the first time I've really felt it -- or let myself feel it.
Music today doesn't compel this sort of emotional response in people. This is a lost art of music from the past. I hope some day we return to this sort of music, where lyrics have a message, and is relatable.
Listen to BTS, most of their song have meaningful lyrics that talk about mental health, social issues, empowerment, self-love, and so on. I met them during the pandemics and helped me to go through. Believe, I'm not a fangirl, I'm 66 and learned to love those seven beautiful human beings.
@sandigrace2271 No. I mean, thank you. All of you. It's a beautiful song that is very versatile. It transend over gender lines, or cultural lines. Pretty much if you loved someone who is gone, the song just might stir inside you. Thank you all for the love.
You got that right. "Young". I have to say when I see these reaction videos...it brings me so much joy to remember that nostalgic time...and I feel SO OLD. I wish my adult kids appreciated such music...but...they don't.
They got their name when following a bread truck, and yes, the song is written about losing a parent. One week ago I went to a concert to see Toast, a Bread tribute band. This song had the audience literally in tears. Check out Toast! They are incredible and as close to the real thing as you can get!
When your wife asks "what's up?"... play the song for her!!! She'll get it!!💜💜🎶🎼🎵🎸🎤🎧🎹🥁🔥🤘 Never try to separate emotions from music!!! They are literally connected!!💜💜💜 Growing up with Bread was amazing!!!
It's a testament to David Gates' songwriting, and bread''s musical skills that fifty years later, the song still evokes such strong emotions. Thanks for being real with us. ♥
I couldn't listen to this song for a couple years after my mom passed away and I Loved this song!! The ache was unbearable!! R.I.P. to both our Moms...❤
.... I (so s o f t l y) sang this song....at my mother's funeral....3 yrs ago Now have been asked to sing it at more memorials...67 yrs centered. Love BREAD...
Back in 1981 I lost my fiance to suicide, and of course her passing hit me hard. So my older sister invited me over, opened a bottle of whiskey played this song for me, I was 18 years old and I still miss her very much!
Bread was big back in the 70s, tons of AM radio (pop) hits in their catalog. David Gates is the lead singer who captured the hearts of millions with: If, Aubrey, Make It with You, Sweet Surrender, and Guitar Man to name a few. Bread will get you in the feels every time!
It is so funny. My Sweetie and I were watching reaction videos and I said to him,I don't think I have ever seen anyone react to the group Bread. My all time fav older group. I'm 60 and I remember my brothers playing their songs then I loved them and still have the 45 record with "If" on one side & "Everything I Own" on the other in my hope chest. Then I looked and saw you did a reaction to this song. My tears flow like a river because I lost my Dad in 1996 & then my Mom in 2022. My Sweetie lost his Dad in 2014 and his Mom 2023. I was just crying yesterday because I and my Sweetie are going thru serious health struggles and I just wanted to talk to my Mom so so bad. She was the only one who has known me forever and gave me life while almost losing hers in the process. Now turning 60 this year and not having a parent at all is rough & you have regrets regardless. My Mom and I spoke everyday and each night we called each other to say one was going to bed and that we loved each other. I still sometimes will grab the phone at 10pm and say,I'm going to call my Mom to tell her goodnight and I Love her but then it hits me all over again. If ya still have parents alive, don't take one day for granted. Call them, text them, send them cards, letters, funny notes, flowers when can or if ya live close, stop by,visit with them at least weekly, take them out to eat or take them a meal & eat with them. Just be with them as much as ya can because life is short and getting old gets lonely too for so many. Thank you for this reaction.❤ Blessings from SC 🙋♀️👍❤️✝️
Imagine being a 12-year-old girl and hearing this when it came out. It made me cry then and still does. I haven't heard it in a very long time. Thanks for sharing.
I lost a sister in 2006, another in 2012, my birth Dad in 2014, my Mom in 2017 and my step-Dad in 2018. In between all that a grandson, a niece and 2 brothers-in-law. My trip to the other side will be pure celebration. I miss them all.
I grew up with Bread. First and only concert I went to in '77 at age 14. Met David Gates backstage. A gentleman he was. David wrote this song about his Dad whom he loved deeply who died.
@@danbreuer Cool! Yeah, I was never a concert goer myself, preferred listening away from crowds but a friend bought these tickets that included backstage passes and I was at the right place right time. After the concert though when going backstage and my friend and I seeing David Gates walk over, I was nervous. He was super nice. Chatted a little then he asked if we wanted to go upstairs to meet the band but me being a Christian and young, all sorts of sordid things I imagined would happen should I go....lol... But I politely said no, I just came to hear the songs and had to go. David I'm certain understood my unease. He just smiled and like I said, such a real gentleman. Now I kick myself for not thinking about grabbing a camera...
Bread is a lovely rabbit hole to explore! "Make it with you", "Baby I'm-A Want You", "Lost Without Your Love", "Diary" and so many more are timeless, and no, they don't sound like The Monkees once you hear more of them. My respect for you has a human being just went up immeasurably.
There are songs that are everlasting, and when you hear them, you remember every lyric, emotion, and you can't help but sing along..........songs by Bread are like that. I was pre-teen in the Bread Era, but I got to enjoy all the 70's music via my older sister's 45 player.
Oh being a young teenager in the 70's and this was our soft love songs, a great time to be alive😊 ITS OK TO CRY, Ilost my mom 14 years ago this month and I talk to her everyday 😢
I was 4 when this song was released. My brother, Shawn, was 6. Our mother gave us music...we spent hours spinning vinyl records on the turntable(1972-3, and so on) she bought. We would sit on the floor, listening to music. Shawn drowned in a frozen lake January 1976. This is one of our siblings songs. It is a song My sons and I now relish. Bread is magic. Your heartfelt reaction is precious.
This song came out when I was in high school. I am almost 66 and this song still affects me. Your reactions are authentic and that is one of the reasons I subscribe to your channel. Music makes you feel.
I am truly blessed as I still have both of my parents. My dad is 91 and my mom is 86. On March 1st, they will be celebrating 67 years of marriage! They still live in their house and my dad still works 40 hours a week! Great reaction and God bless you and your sweet family!!
Oh yes, you are blessed, but please talk with your dad about slowing down and spending time with your mom. I continued working 4 years after my husband retired. Now that he's gone to Heaven, I wish I had those 4 years back. I would give everything I own to have my husband back or to be with him in Heaven.
@@TahoeSnowbird God bless you! We’ve tried to get our dad to slow down, especially after falling and breaking his hip while hunting in Colorado (we all live in Arkansas) when he was 89! But that didn’t stop him either. We honestly believe if he didn’t work, he probably would last long. The three of us kids left believe they’ll both outlive us! Lol! We do have one sister in Heaven so they’ve been through it all. So sorry about your husband…you’re in my prayers. God bless!!
@@karenbliss8719 Thank you. We were together for 52 years, married for 51 years, 4 months and 21 days before he lost his battle with melanoma. My husband and his love were the most cherished and divine gift God bestowed on me. Good luck and best wishes to your mom and dad.
Don't feel bad brother. I grew up in 13 foster homes and these guys were the music of my life. All of our 70's groups were like this and were so talented. I spent most of my teenage years crying with this type of music.
I lost my mom 10 months ago and this has me crying like a baby wishing she was here with me 😢❤❤❤ thank you, I just found you 30 minutes ago. Dude 70s music is the best in my opinion❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I graduated high school in 1978 and most of my friends had the "Best of Bread" album, including me. Every song on it is amazing. I also cover this song on guitar and I sing "Diary" and "Guitar Man" in karaoke.
Class of ‘77. I wore my album out. My sisters and I played it constantly. Too young to understand this was about a parent. I was still taking my parents for granted.
Dear Pegasus…..they were popular during the 70s, and beyond. David wrote this originally for his Dad. Most of their catalog is filled with these gems. I think you’ll enjoyed the journey they take you on. Don’t fight it….feel it. That’s what’s it’s written for ❤❤❤
They were the consumate Ballad Band. All hits, all brings your emotions into play. Their songs timeless and resonates whether it's joy or loss, they get it right every time. "Bread" is also a staple, salt of the earth, foundation, to break bread. Simple emotions poured out in music. Minimal instruments, nothing fancy, the music foundation speaks for itself.
I was born in 1960. I grew up with thee BEST music ever written and preformed. No auto tune. Real vocals. Real amazing musicians. I have seen some of the BEST. The Eagles, Heart, Journey, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blue Oyster Cult, REO Speedwagon, Boston, Kansas, The Doobie Brothers, Linda Ronstadt, and on and on and on. We will never again have the music of the 60’s/70’s and mid 80’s.
This song makes me think of my mom, too.... I grew up listening to nothing but music that resonates with the soul! That's just the kind of shit my hippie parents raised me on! I'm forever grateful!! I have a whole list of songs for u that will instantly go on your classic forever playlist!
My parents were the same way and how I love them for I'm glad we didn't have a idiot box especially now that I'm 55, I'm always listening to music and we were always outside were there is knowledgeable not fantasy, listening to "Hot girls in love"
I was raised the same with a bunch of hippies. But I'm a black woman who is adopted in the 71 by a huge hippie family. I lost my dad. I think it's been seven years now and his birthday was March 3 he would've been 81. I still have my mom though and a whole Lotta siblings and cousins. But I remember, listening to bread and playing it on my acoustic guitar growing up.

Dude. I belong to the Bread Fan Club. I am 67, and Bread was a big part of my life growing up. I never got to see them on stage. A lot of people are talking about David Gates. But when you're talking about Bread, you must give amazing credit to Jimmy Griffin. I would suggest you listen to every Bread song and every solo album of every band member. Last summer, I got in the car with my cousin to head to the Staten Island beach. He put in the Bread anthology CD. I was immediately transported back in time and every song hit me right in the heart again, just like it did you. I so loved your reaction that I am now subscribing to your channel and following you. I don't know if you'll ever get to read this comment because of the enormous amount of comments that you have received so far. With some of the members of the fan club, which is international, young and old, I saw David Gates perform his solo act. I actually got to go backstage, being a fan club member. I hugged him and I kissed him. I found out later that he doesn't like to be touched, so I felt very honored that he let me show my love for him after seeing him perform. I would like to draw your attention to one of his solo songs. It's called Find Me. It is also about his dad (but like this song can be applied to anyone you have lost that you are missing so badly) and is sort of a follow-up this song. I don't want to tell you the deets, but I do want to give you a little bit of a teaser. Wouldn't you love it (if you were in heaven or wherever) and the people you lost did everything they could do to find you and reconnect? I know I would. I also know that I would do everything that was in my power to find them. Grab some tissues when you listen to it. I was at the Mohegan Sun at a long table of Bread fans. I started bawling because I had just lost my father and many others before him - husband at 42, mom 66, uncle 52, dad only 71, grandparents all gone. I'm not a religious person, but I like to think spiritually that one day. I will reconnect somehow with all of them, and we will find each other. Check out the song. You are a good father and your children will love you for it. Maybe you should turn them onto Bread as well. Possibly they won't take you for granted as much. Although when we are young, we do not think of being old and losing people. Peace bro. Love ya 💜💙
I was so lucky to have had my mom for 52 years. She passed away in 2016. She was literally here one second and gone the next. Not ill, nothing wrong but just gone. I am still getting over that. Love this song and thank you for bringing me back to it.
Bread was a short lived but great soft rock band from the 70s... tons of top 10 songs like - Make It With You, It Don't Matter to Me, Baby I'm a Want You, and my personal favorite The Guitar Man.
BP, you are a REAL man! A real man isn’t afraid to show their feelings; isn’t afraid to be vulnerable. If this song doesn’t tug at your heartstrings, then you aren’t human. I love your reactions. I love how you try to identify with each song you react to. You are the only channel I watch that I never, ever skip your ‘talking’ parts. Now you must do their song “If”. It’s a beautiful love song. ❤
I'm crying through this. I've known this song my whole live. but I lost my mom in January suddenly and its breaking my heart to remember this song again. Thanks for playing this.

Same here...I lost my dad in 1976 and the pain was so great...I had no clue this song was about parents!
I'm 60 lost my mom 25 years ago this is absolutely my song to her
I'm 60, i still have this on a greatest hits album. I never knew what it was about either, it seems... Now it's gonna make me cry harder!
Yeah, same, I never even listened to the story.
Try the song Marjorie.
Try Louis Tomlinson, Two of Us
Supermarket Flower by Ed Sheeran
Listen to BTS, most of their song have meaningful lyrics that talk about mental health, social issues, empowerment, self-love, and so on. I met them during the pandemics and helped me to go through. Believe, I'm not a fangirl, I'm 66 and learned to love those seven beautiful human beings.
Very true. I can’t see the majority of today’s singers having such longevity.
On Christmas 2021, I lost my eldest son. This was his memorial song from me. He was a beautiful soul and I remain broken.
Joshua's Mom
Forever 36
I'm so sorry.
So sorry for your loss❤️
I'm so very sorry~ 🤗🤗
@sandigrace2271
No. I mean, thank you. All of you. It's a beautiful song that is very versatile. It transend over gender lines, or cultural lines. Pretty much if you loved someone who is gone, the song just might stir inside you.
Thank you all for the love.
So very sorry for your loss ♥️
It's wonderful for us who grew up with these artists to see you experience them for the first time.
Blessings to you and your young family.
We certainly were, the best part is to still have the original vinyl albums that still sound perfect.❤️🇦🇺
You got that right. "Young". I have to say when I see these reaction videos...it brings me so much joy to remember that nostalgic time...and I feel SO OLD. I wish my adult kids appreciated such music...but...they don't.
Yes. Absolutely! Wonderful to see a young man like you, hip-hop, enjoy and experience what my generation went through. And still love.
They got their name when following a bread truck, and yes, the song is written about losing a parent. One week ago I went to a concert to see Toast, a Bread tribute band. This song had the audience literally in tears. Check out Toast! They are incredible and as close to the real thing as you can get!
This is why the music of the 70’s hits so hard. That emotion doesn’t exist in music anymore. We had it good.
Pull up this song by AL Kooper: Going, Going, Gone. He explains it (the disappearance of good music) precisely. You’ll hear what I mean I’m sure.
This was the main music I chose for my mother’s funeral in 2019. Still brings this 55yo man to tears every time I hear it……..
I couldn't listen to this song for a couple years after my mom passed away and I Loved this song!! The ache was unbearable!! R.I.P. to both our Moms...❤
58 and me too
....
I (so s o f t l y) sang this song....at my mother's funeral....3 yrs ago
Now have been asked to sing it at more memorials...67 yrs centered. Love BREAD...
Bread is a large part of my childhood. My parents are 84/85. Currently living with my dad as I go thru life crud. Dads always been there for me.
Slow dancing to Bread at basement parties..... Great memories.
Yesss
Oh my gosh yes - or in church gyms at mixers
Dan Fogleberg's "Leader of the Band" will also tie your heartstrings in knots.
💯
That also occurred to me.
Seals & Crofts too.
I love this song. Cry every time I hear it. I try to sing it so my dad can hear, but just can't get thru it.
Absolutely 💯 correct.
oh yes "Guitar man", "Aubrey", "If"... are all worth a listen if you enjoy what Bread is giving to you! Love this group and enjoy your videos!
And “Diary” don’t forget “Diary!”
all great suggestions!
Yes to all, my favorite is "If"
Oh yes... All great songs from Bread. "If" "Aubrey" and of course "Diary". They touch your soul. ❤
I love Bread. Their songs are beautifully written and sung. I'm thankful to have grown up listening to them.
My favorite group in the 70's. Know every song by heart. My hubby and I married 42 years had beautiful music. You kids missed all the good stuff!
I have always LOVED Bread. Forever and ever, amen. My daughter’s name is Aubrey, which is another beautiful song of theirs.
And Aubrey was her name…🎼❤
My dad's name was Aubrey 😢
@@Cissy777 A great name for men or women. 🙂
Forever and ever, amen? That's a Randy Travis song. :)
I was named after a Johnny Mathis song and named my daughter after an Allman Brothers song. 😊
Yes it will be a wonderful reunion! God will call you when it is time.
Thats a lot in a fairly short span, God love ya.
I’m 63 from Kansas, and I still have their album!!❤❤
It's a great feeling to own your childhood vinyl records. I'm 64 and have all 150 + vinyls. 😊
I love Kansas, I hear you guys have Dust in the Wind....
I grew up with Bread. First and only concert I went to in '77 at age 14. Met David Gates backstage. A gentleman he was.
David wrote this song about his Dad whom he loved deeply who died.
Same, but on '78. I was 20, home on leave from the Air Force.
This is a tear jerker. Beautifully written. You can feel the sadness in this song.
I miss my mamma too. Tears of love are beautiful because they mark how much we meant to each other.🙏💛🕊✨
*The Best Of Bread* ...........the whole album is fantastic
Bread is a lovely rabbit hole to explore! "Make it with you", "Baby I'm-A Want You", "Lost Without Your Love", "Diary" and so many more are timeless, and no, they don't sound like The Monkees once you hear more of them. My respect for you has a human being just went up immeasurably.
Bro, I've been listening to this song for 50 years and have never felt the emotion until now. Thanks for opening me up to it. WOW!!!
i am stunned at how so many 40 year olds and under have not heard the amazing music of my youth,
music of the 70s, 80s
There are songs that are everlasting, and when you hear them, you remember every lyric, emotion, and you can't help but sing along..........songs by Bread are like that.
I was pre-teen in the Bread Era, but I got to enjoy all the 70's music via my older sister's 45 player.
Oh being a young teenager in the 70's and this was our soft love songs, a great time to be alive😊 ITS OK TO CRY, Ilost my mom 14 years ago this month and I talk to her everyday 😢
Tammy. It’s great to still talk to your mom, it’s your way of coping with her loss. On the other hand….if you hear her replies, you should worry! 🥹
@@geoff2504 it's OK, I hear her in my heart ♥
I was 4 when this song was released.
My brother, Shawn, was 6.
Our mother gave us music...we spent hours spinning vinyl records on the turntable(1972-3, and so on) she bought. We would sit on the floor, listening to music.
Shawn drowned in a frozen lake January 1976.
This is one of our siblings songs.
It is a song My sons and I now relish.
Bread is magic.
Your heartfelt reaction is precious.
So sorry for your loss!
This song came out when I was in high school. I am almost 66 and this song still affects me. Your reactions are authentic and that is one of the reasons I subscribe to your channel. Music makes you feel.
I absolutely wore this LP out. Brings back so many memories of the early 70's.❤
Black Pegasus...you're human. I'm crying too.
I played this song at my daughters Celebration of Life. I would give everything I own just to have her back again.
Bread had a way to make you feel exactly how the song was meant to make you feel, excellent song writers and performers. Love this band!
I have cried rivers of tears and I miss him more than words can express. Still I realize we had been very blessed to have shared a love that God gave to few. My husband and his love were the most cherished and divine gift God bestowed on me. Good luck and best wishes to your mom and dad.
You are so blessed. I lost my dad in 1988 & my mom in 2001.
@@susanwhitesell5381 So sorry to hear about your parents. You’re in my prayers!
This takes me back 50years, an amazing band❤❤❤
Don't feel bad brother. I grew up in 13 foster homes and these guys were the music of my life. All of our 70's groups were like this and were so talented. I spent most of my teenage years crying with this type of music.
I lost my mom 10 months ago and this has me crying like a baby wishing she was here with me 😢❤❤❤ thank you, I just found you 30 minutes ago.
Dude 70s music is the best in my opinion❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

@@sunnystormy4973 I am sorry for you loss, I pray you had someone who loved you and raised you well ❤ 🙏 ♥
I graduated high school in 1978 and most of my friends had the "Best of Bread" album, including me. Every song on it is amazing. I also cover this song on guitar and I sing "Diary" and "Guitar Man" in karaoke.
I was class of ‘80. I didn’t have it. I just listened to my sister’s album. She was class of ‘77.
I graduated in 78 too and I still have it!!✌️❤️
Class of "77" brings me back every time.
Great choices! ❤❤❤. We were such a lucky generation!

As a teenager I babysat for a couple with an unbelievable stereo system and hundreds of albums. The Dad showed me how to use it and I discovered so many artists I never would have. Bread was one of them. The entire album is excellent.
I lost my mom to pancreatic cancer 17 year ago. I never disrespected her. But I grew up in the 60s we knew better. She was my best friend. I miss her so much
I am 65 and back in the day I loved Bread. This was one of my favorite songs and as a teenager I never realized the true meaning of this song. I thought he was singing about a girl. Now that I understand what it's really about I'm over here crying my eyes out as I lost both my parents in 2013. Thank you for your wonderful reaction.
I grew up listening to Bread songs. They were TRUE artists with great musical chops and scary real lyrics. I love them. Wait till you hear the rest of the album. Have mercy!!
✌️❤️😎
I've always loved Bread. Beautiful music. "If" is a gorgeous song. "Diary" is a personal favorite.
We'll cry together, I lost my father in 2013 and this is my favorite song ❤😭
Sorry for your lose. Same here. Without a Mom and Dad these days. It's forever.

Your reaction is very genuine and honest. A lot of us are right there with you ❤
This band has many good deep songs. Almost criminal on how under rated they are.
I grew up with the best music from the late 60s and the 70s. Every time you discovered a band I grew up listening to it brings a smile to my face.
Your emotions is what makes your reactions so special. We are feeling it with you. This is what it means to have a soul and share our emotions.
Yep losing a parent is tough. I lost my mom at 6, I'm in my 50's now, what a life could have been with her. Prayers out to all those who lost a parent, especially recently.
Who knew a love song to your parents could be so deeply touching and beautiful, eh? Yet, we owe them everything.
It warms my heart to see you and other young people listening to my generation’s music . The 60s , 70s and 80s was and will always be the era of music . Spread the word brother . Love your channel .
Music speaks to the soul. Period. Great reaction
dude you can hear the soul of the music, not just the notes, that's why we keep coming back 🙏
“Lost without your love”
“If”
“Aubrey”
“Guitar man”
These are some of their greatest songs!
My man, that bread played a couple of chords on your heart strings. ❤️🔥🙏❤️🔥 Your reaction was so authentic. It made me laugh and smile and feel for you with deep empathy. Love that you called it out and stepped into the feeling. THAT, was a G moment. Much love and respect.
I`m 67 and loss my mom when I was 12 and this song just crushed me. Hang in their brother, I can see it hit you too.
Dude! I have no idea why we all sleep on this band, but we do. They are all but forgotten, but this band made some truly great music.
One of my all-time favorite songs. Bread was one of my favorite groups when I was a teenager in the 70s. I loved their music then, but have grown to appreciate the songs even more through the years.
Ditto
once they're gone, they're gone. can't turn back the hands of time. the memories remain.
Lol..😂 I grew up on Bread .... literally sang along and I haven't heard it in 30 or more years... I'm 60... awesome band... brings back the memories of simpler times .❤❤❤
All of their songs will make you cry. Every one is so heartfelt. Go find 'The Best of Bread', you'll see.
I had this song on repeat in my teens. Recorded it off the radio onto cassette. Ah the memories.
Yes. Me too.
This is a beautiful classic song. You brought tears to my eyes, I believe you are an amazing dad and your mom is looking down on you and her granddaughter and smiling so big, she is so proud of you both!❤️❤
Thank you! I am so happy you are going down the path of the past… so many wonderful love songs , so much classic rock and heavy metal to discover… you are doing an awesome job… and your also keeping this music alive to this generation… much love to you and your family ❤️
Oh my gosh… I’m 66 years old and you’re totally playing the music from my day! I have all of these on vinyl wore them absolutely the F out! ❤️❤️❤️
Bread has always been on my top 5 groups of all time! Valuable harmonies and heart strings lyrics!! Nothing finer
I'm crying through this. I've known this song my whole live. but I lost my mom in January suddenly and its breaking my heart to remember this song again. Thanks for playing this.
Let the tears flow....if they want to come out

I always assumed this was a song about a lost love back in the day. I only learned in recent years about the inspiration and true meaning of the song.
I'm 68 now and went to see Bread at a concert in the early 70s best concert I ever saw they had me in tears I remember it like it was yesterday 🙏
BREAD was one of a few groups in the 70s who sang people's souls! I'm so thankful to God that He put such talented people on earth for us! Thank you for your beautiful comments and reactions!
Yes that’s what I appreciate about your channel!! Thank you so much!!
