My love for bmx is fully restored !
Thank you again for making me all misty eyed relieving my childhood dream bikes. My parents bought me a blue steel Hotfoot with yellow OGK tuffs here in Australia. I loved customizing it and even did newspaper and pharmacy (drug store) deliveries in it for a couple of years. I rode it into the ground and loved our many BMX tracks in our area. It was all my parents could afford but I probably spent more customizing it than what it originally cost. Probably could have afforded a Mongoose in the end. My favourite movie was the Australian film BMX Bandits and I always dreamt of a chrome Mongoose with blue components and tuffs (I think it was a Motomag) that “Goose” rode in the film. He even had blue Shimano DX pedals that I bought for my Hotfoot as well. Even back then they were a fortune! I still watch that movie and even my 6 and 9 year old boys love it. Then there was RAD, the movie! I bought a repop Mongoose for one of my sons and I love watching him ride it now. I now find 24” are perfect for my 51 year old knees. Love my Monza and about to get 24” Graphites in place of the standard tuffs. I’m now in the process of buying that beloved Mongoose and building it up with OG or NOS parts. Thanks again!
my lil brother loved his sigma it was his first new bike so nostalgic i remember teaching my brother to ride to short to reach the ground while on it had to use the curb to get on his bike YOUR VIDEOS INSPIRE AN BRING US ALL BACK TO GOOD OLD DAYS THANK YOU
I Raced BMX from 1975-77. Back then I rode a Sun Cycle Black Diamond with Ashtabula Forks, Crank and Stem. It was literally one of the best bikes on the track, yet none of the throwback BMX Channels ever mention it. Came in 3 colors...Black, Chrome and Bright Yellow. Both of mine were Yellow.
The PK Ripper is very nice. In 1984 I bought a black PK Ripper frame mounted my gold rims (same), same brakes, same cranks, CW Handlebars, Black Elina seat with a Suntour neck and beartrap headset. I never got the Landing Gear Forks as I was running the original heavy nickel plated Redline forks. I foolishly sold it complete for an embarrassing low amount of money after 12 years of babying that bike (kept it in my deadbolted bedroom). I bought frame for $150 with my paper route money. Very hard to find frame anymore in that condition for any money. They sold SO many of them, but has become a hard to find item. I don't want made in China! Rocking the Redline with vintage 185mm Single Pinch Flight Cranks. Nice PK and I would have to go ahead a ride it. It's too nice to just sit there!!!!
Great collection! Definitely brings back memories. I had a Sigma in the 4th grade. My dad was stationed in San Diego when i was in Jr High and that is where I learned about the cool bikes. Fell in love with Redlines and GT Performers. My parents would never spring for those so my brother and I were always out with friends jumping ramps with Huffy products. At least twice the weight of a VFR but we were still catching plenty of air and distance. Thanks for sharing brother
Great memory and thanks for sharing!
I had that Predator Free Form Ex in powder blue. It was an 85 if I'm not mistaken. Some asshole broke into our garage and stole it after my parents saved up for over 6 months to be able to afford it. I'm a 48 year old woman now and I still want my bike back.
Wow, nice walk down memory lane. I had a PK back in 83 too, mine was white and it got stolen. A year later I got CW Phase 1, I broke it within a month or two. CW replaced the frame which I promptly sold and bought a Skyway. I still have that one, been thinking about putting it back together for 30 years. Maybe I will some day.
Found your channel yesterday. Subscribed. I grew up in the 80's. These bikes bring back so many memories. I built a PK Ripper and a Torker back in the day. Had a subscription to BMX Plus for years.
Thanks for the sub!
Very cool stuff! I am 50 and fancy myself a spoiled kid. Went from stamped bike to Schwinn Phantom w gold alum adds race inc pro neck sugino ect to a Skyway TA from Hank And Frank bikes in red white blue in 6th grade n been buying bmx from that day on! Cool to see such neat history pieces!
I had a old badass mongoose that was stolen years ago and losing that bike crushed me. My uncle gave it to me in the mid 80s. I only have a 98' diamondback viper in blue, completely original. I am totally restoring it. Its clean and fits my 6' frame with chromoly tubing
Love the CW Phase One with the Pro Bars, I had a friend in high school who had one and hadn't seen him in years but when I would see his mom and ask about it she said he still has it and will never sell it. He claimed the Z in the down tube made it stronger, I just loved the look of it. His looked a lot like yours except he had a Kasimax aero on his square tube reinforced lay back. Looks like yours needs a 27mm race on the fork, otherwise it's perfect!
Awesome collection dude!! Yeah back in the day growing up in the 80s in Upland ,California i got my first dream bike as a kid an 84 chrome GT Pro Performer with blue anodized tufneck stem and sprocket, oakley b2b grips , skyway tuffs rode it home off the showroom floor from Roy's bike shop.
That is epic! I was born in Upland!!
Should get some chain tensioners for the Ripper...Aluminum frames can chain slip without them due to the softness of the metal.I had a Ripper in 84 and an FMF,which was actually the first aluminum BMX frame maker, even though SE Racing was thought to have been first.I grew up in Newport Beach/South Costa Mesa before moving to Toronto ,Canada in 1983.I`m in Vancouver now,but my family still live in CM.We called BMX hucking the gully(AKAsheeps hill) before the term BMX was coined,in the late 70`s.We had Schwinn stingray`s that were heavy as hell.Over the years I have own many bikes,I still have a 2000 Aluminum frame Diamondback( Franko frame),but it is the only BMX bike I have.
I just now saw your video, for the first time and I was amazed at what you have in this part of your collection. And I must say, I also am a fan of the P.K.Ripper. I used to race for SE back in the day. I had ALOT of bikes growing up. I was an avid BMX racer and never went without a bike. My Dad was an engineer as a radar technician and discovered a chip for the radars that saved the government tons of money in repairs, so he was paid royalties, and made serious bank. So needless to say, I pretty much got damn near everything and anything I wanted growing up. So I had tons of bikes. I just wish I held onto the bikes. But it is cool to see someone who takes pride in collecting bikes that are nastelgic and cool from back in the day.
Thank you so much for sharing your memories
You are so right about that Huffy...love it or hate it...
I HATE that miserable dirt-tank so much as it's all I had in 6th grade to ride in the desert of Lancaster, CA.
What a chunk of trash and built like an old Russian Mig.
But there was one Great thing about this bike that shines ..
The inspiration it gave me to work, save and buy the best bikes later...Mongoose, Redline, Cooks Brothers Racing...Race inc. and more.
Liked your Jewel ...Ripper and the CW.
GREAT SHARE.
My boy Dave bought it in 2011 we waited for a month for him to get it there's a camo color one they did that year also that CW is insane one kid had that bike when I was a kid my friend pat I'm sending him this video ❤ great stuff brother
Very nice collection! I got those Uni Wheel covers for my '86 Haro FST after seeing Eddie Fiola using them in the magazine. They were horrible, loud, scrubbing sound and from what I recall around $40 back then, which was not an insignificant amount. I've had some people comment about my bike being a Sigma and I didn't know what they meant. Now I see Huffy had a bike with these wheel covers. Cool stuff, thanks for sharing!
I still have an extra set laying around. It’s such a cool look, but yeah very loud
As I posted earlier, the PK RIPPER is one of the most popular bmx bikes I’ve ever seen.So many freestylers and street riders I knew had them.I know SE rereleased the PK RIPPER, QUADANGLE & FLOVAL FLYER, in several sizes. All three were cracking bikes.
The huffy sigma…i remember seeing one back in 87 in the display case at Service Merchandise. Wanted it so bad but ended up with a Murray. Which i still have.
I found and you may already know. That you can soak all the old white plastic parts in hydrogen peroxide, like the pedals on your schwinn. It will make them bone white again, just like new. I was amazed! Does take 24 hrs.of soaking or more, but very worth it.
thumbs up for last bike!
Brother I'm from Newport Beach, and couldn't believe that I heard you say upland ca. You have a real bmx collection and don't break out the hardest bike to find RRS ,Redlands Riverside schwinn. I haven't seen one yet at a show .peace ✌
I remember seeing those sigmas on the rack at the local shop. Crazy...... Love the channel man. Great content. Well done!!!!
Awesome! Thank you!
Nice bikes , back in the 80's I had pk ripper. Race Inc, hutch ,profile ,thruster ,gt ,Haro, quad angle ,all the cool bikes
The PK is dope. I remember seeing an old ad back in the day of some of the top pros lined up on a start gate and one of them was on a Ripper. Such a beast.
It’s definitely my favorite
Always wanted a cw lightning bolt. ...always drooled over jules mids uk 80s bmxers
I love how you love your bikes.
I fully understand it
Cool collection. I’m starting to go down this road, there’s just something cool about old bmx bikes. Picking up a 1980’s Ross piranha for my first little project/ rider may go grab a GT mach1 as well.
Right on!
Man, I would have sold a kidney to have that CW back in the day!!!! I did have those bars at least. I SO miss chrome frames.
I had a baby blue Freeform Z and it was my bunny hop machine! It was so light compared to my other bikes and I kept it stripped down and simple. I beat the absolute hell out of it and it took it all.
Great collection! Do you have any JMC's? That was the most Exotic Bike in my opinion ...JMC Long77 78 79 they had the bigger Tear Drop than in the early 80s and that Euro Bottom Bracket and American Never wanted a Bike with a Dudes name on it Long or Short Perfection ...Cheers in 80 to 83 we lived in Mira Loma Ca and would go
to Stu's house in 82 and the had Built a starting Gate to practice ...Good Times
I don’t have any JMCs. Hard to come by for sure
I have a orange predator that I bought at a yard sale 20+ years ago. Rode it a little before it ended up in the back of the garage buried in time.
Hay man the CW Phase one I had back when I was in high school loved the bike plus the lightning bolts was the best!!! My frame cracked head set!!!
Thank you for doing this and doing it so well. The details and stories... Thanks for the trip through time.
Nice collection, back in the day (mid eighties) I knew a guy that had the Schwinn, but he had white tuff wheels and Hutch 3 piece cranks on his cream cycle.
Def had a sigma. Was it ~86? Mom bought it on layaway at Benny’s (SE New England retail chain). I loved it at first. Had it for about 6 months before I learned about the “cool” bikes. GT, Haro, Redline, etc. As soon as that happened I was so embarrassed to ride this around. Took the wheel disks off at that point to preserve any possible dignity when cruising. The next year was able to talk mom into getting me a “cool” bike. That’s when I got a 87 Haro FST. Love seeing this! Thanks
That’s awesome
Awesome fleet bro. Love to see more. Got to admit, got a little lump in my throat when you showed the predator. LOL I've got to redline proline and a performer and that I'm restoring myself. I did subscribe hope you get to your thousand soon. Again awesome collection. Can't wait to see more.
Wow lovely bikes I just bought a Rayleigh teamster for £20 I can't belive how good condition and original it is for the age
Yeah the purpl bike ...and the orange bike are cool ..
Cw is badass ❤❤❤❤ that frame alone is money ...and rare e😢😊njoy it ...also the other bikes are rad
Sold the CW last year. Old video
Someone I knew had a sigma they were different something about the wheel covers.. we all had a redline mongoose gt and diamondback ..nobody judged anyone good times..
From a 1970s bmx war of the stars tour rider the stem on the cw is not a tuff neck ,tuff had knee damage square block of Bullitt. It was called pro neck once it got radius corners.
You aren’t totally correct. It is definitely a Tuff Neck.
I believe the name of the company was Tuff Neck. They made the Tuff Neck and the Pro Neck. I do believe the Pro Neck was the one with rounded off corners.
You have a nice collection nothing like your childhood dreams come to fruition your way 🙌🏽 goals.
Thank you so much!!
I won't get rid of my diamondback tail whip 92 is been hanging up for 29 years I was told it didn't come with rims. What a Barn find.
First I heard the CW frame was "not suitable for riding" I used to see people riding them all the time, never heard of one breaking.
I remember when this disc covers came out 😂me n my friends were like what the heck are those ?
That CW is jaw dropping, thanks for sharing…. I liked your stories behind them too. Good little taste of the collection and subscribed
That’s one of my favorite bikes
I likes me some chrome! Killer bikes man. *I'm currently riding a 2013 DK Sentry 24"
@Rad BMX Builds I gotta say, the way you come out with these gems 💎 is amazing. It makes great viewing I love it.
I’m really happy that you got exactly what you wanted, as it’s not easy and that’s an understatement. The fact that you held tight and didn’t give in to some of these stupid prises that people demand.
It is there business but claiming that they are a certain year when you can see it’s a repro, and I know some repro’s are limited, it makes me wonder if they know what they’re talking about.
Love your builds you definitely have an for the colours and detail.Awesome.
Your right about your crown jewel, as I read on a forum about someone who was looking for a P.K. Ripper that same colour, I can’t remember it properly it had something about the numbers that got done and the colour and something about the serial for a photo shoot I think and then the factory closed.
Two questions, which feels the best for riding of the P.K.’s old or new and are the fork the same fatness..?
Thank you so much. New PK is a better rider because of the better geometry. Forks are smaller on the older ones
Those Oakley grips are what got me hooked on their glasses I I think the grips were first 🤔😎
I really like this video, because I am also a collector of old bicycles
Thank you! New videos every week, be sure to Subscribe
Yes, of course
I dig the channel Stay Rad..
not sure y u only have 400 subs bc u have insane bikes and u build top notch i’m sure the sub count will fly. i always anticipate your builds and can’t wait to buy very soon.
Thank you so much. I truly appreciate it. I’m trying to get my Instagram followers to subscribe 👍🏻
MAN I miss my pk ripper! Lightest bike I have ever had. Someone stole it.
Very cool Orange Predator, Home Depot colors. LOL thanks for showing the collection.
662!!! BMX and bodyboarding!! Yeee
I used to live in Hawaii and buy my boards there 🤙
Thanks for sharing
I had that Schwinn in baby blue.
Nice. The PK Ripper, as you know, is the ultimate, then the 78 Torker, then the various early Mongoose. The rest are just kind of specialty bikes. Some day I'll get an original PK Ripper.
What cranks you use? And bottom bracket?
So sick, Dude!
I have a CW Racing Frame! With the lightning bolt ⚡️ that I totally forgot about! It back in Florida at my mom’s house, I’m going to build it just like I used have it back in 1983!!!!
That’s awesome. Let me know if you ever want to sell it
Awesome bikes man. I didn't have the sigma but I had the huffy expert free style around 1991. Sucked.. everyone in my neighborhood back then had diamondbacks. Oh well got me into BMX anyway
Luv ur bikes I’m a real big fan of gt an mongoose bikes an haro I really luv ur bikes oh an I do have a haro now but I used to have a old style dyno detour all white with the white mags an white tires with the tan dry wall an the all white pegs it got stolen tho an it was my most precious find to
When I was 10 years old I lived in the valley in Buffalo and the huffy sigma was the most shot after bike here in New York every kid on the block had one except for me I had a piranha I don't know if you know what piranhas are if you remember what a piranha is they were similar to a mongoose but they were nothing nothing compared to The prestige of having a $98 huffy sigma
Nice, love to see some more
Great collection!
Thank you so much
Lol
I remember that Huffy
Thought it was cooler than what I had at the time
Amazing !
The Phase 1 is a classic till they crack 🥺. The sigma was very OG 👍🏼. I’m still rocking my original 84 Skyway TA in white 😊
That ‘83 PK tho 😍. Man i love what you’re doing - keep it up!!!
Thank you
Yea that CW was a cool frame, but i was into the frestylin stuff.
Amazing collections!!!
Very cool! Thanks for sharing!
Please subscribe many more rad videos
Been in BMX sense the begining but I never seen the lightning frame. And only remember seeing a commercial about the Sigma never in person
My friend, Tim, had a Sigma. It got stolen, ironically, as he and I were in Target where he was stuffing cassette tapes in his pants. The bike was junk but I wanted to put the discs on my Diomandback Viper.
The sigma made me subscribe. 👍🏼. Had mine less than a month. Rode* my brother to the store for candy on the pegs, put the security on (flipped it upside down), then came outside and it was gone baby gone. Such a traumatizing day. 🤦🏻♂️. I have to let it go. 🤷🏻♂️
Oh no… thanks for subscribing
Still have my 90s GT Dyno
Nice video! I wish I could get my high school BMX back, a 1984 Redline 500a series 3. Saw one in Australia on Ebay for around £3500! Mine was museum quality til it got stolen by a supposed 'friend' from school!
Thank you so much for watching. Hope you subscribe. Sorry about your bike
love the cw racing bike ! original tuff neck!! chrome and black color looks great on that bike!! like your rad bmx pads and tshirts!!! do you have website where you sell your stuff mainly the tshirts? gbanks

Last phaze 1 i saw for sale was a frame and fork for 6000$
Awsome bikes! Ive got a 1988 gt inturceptor... i belive mostly original.
But ive got.an old huffy... 20in bmx frame... but teardrop shaped tube... any ideo what it could be?
Nice a cw bolt ⚡️ mine got stolen 7 years ago every no.gooder tried stealing till it finally did
Hey do you have any advise on painting a bike with a spray gun? I want to paint one of my bikes teal
I powder coat instead of paint
Yea that’s the problem… c4 labs already said it would cost them about 500 bucks to powder coat it. And I want the frame have a transition like on the haro master
@@sushuki4833 that’s very expensive. I only pay $145 for frame, forks, bars and seat post.
Have you ever heard of a Cook's brother racing bike
Yes
I grew up in St Paul. MN. Cooks Bros. Was huge in our area around I think 1982 to 84. Forgot all about them. Thanks!
Wow 😮

Do you happen to have a Mongoose Moto Mag chrome?
That’s what I had growing up mid 80s through early 90s before it was stolen.
Would love just to see one again after seeing the video.
