  • With over 100k miles on this car I figured it was time to change them out. In this video I show you how to install a set of AEM fuel pumps and the Visconti Fuel filter kit in the Nissan R35 GTR. The Visconti Fuel Filter Kit is needed because the stock fuel filters are not serviceable. With this kit you can actually change out the filters as needed. When I did mine, the stock fuel filters were shot so this was a necessary mod.
    GTR, take the housing apart and how to solder the old LEDs out and new ones in.

    Interesting.. Is this a known issue on R35's. Haven't heard this before. Wouldn't you get some sort of code? I have almost 130K on my 2012. Still runs strong.

    • @JDArcher
      @JDArcher  Рік тому +1

      It's is a somewhat known issue where people have a fuel pump go bad or (especially if you're running e85) the filters can get clogged. Some people just have the car stop running. In this instance the issue was not the fuel pump. Although I'm not sure why there was metal shavings in the basket, the real issue was my battery was starting to go bad.

    • @GoldenK9Campers
      @GoldenK9Campers Рік тому

      @@JDArcher Yeah.. I heard running E85 all the time.. is not a great idea .. corrosion, etc.. interesting on the battery causing hesitation. Thanks..

    • @JDArcher
      @JDArcher  Рік тому +1

      @GoldenK9Campers with the E85, it's not the corrosion, it's the cleaning properties. Knocks all the junk loose in the tank and clogs the filters. The battery kind of makes sense when you think about it. If there is not enough juice, then the sensors, injectors, pumps won't run as they are supposed to

      @@JDArcher Thanks for the info on E85!! I just changed the fuel pump on my 94 mustang. That sucked compared to doing that on the GTR. Very handy that they are under the seats !!

      @GoldenK9Campers ya. Although I think i like it more when they are in the trunk like most of the other pumps I've done
