Great to see you don't always need the specialists to fix your life... all you need is someone willing to teach and someone willing to learn and have ago. Great video mate
Great video. Many miles dis it jave on it. Am going to be checking my valves on my V4. Planning on using piston stops to lock the crankshaft in place. Will save taking the clutch & alternator covers off 👍🏻
Hello, greetings from Spain. Your videos are great and without using so many special and expensive tools. I have a question for you, isn't it necessary to change the cam cover gaskets? I have a Tuono and I will soon do the valve adjustment and your videos will help me. Thank you!!!
@@elcasiraider1404 hi thanks for watching and commenting, it's very rare you need to change the cam cover gasket, just make sure the cover and gasket are on properly 👍
Yes it does have an o ring. Also I don’t understand why he locks up the cam with the little plate. There is a hole at the end of the cam shaft this lines up to a hole on the last clamp of the cam. I’ve also replaced the chain. When I placed the old and new one on top of each other. The old one was slightly longer. Besides these points great thanks for the video it helpt a lot and gave me enough confidence to do the job myself. 👌
Where was the o-ring on that... :) ? It should have one, but still great way to change the tensioner if one needs it to be replaced. However without the o-ring, the new one probably won't work any better than the old one. Aprilia part number 857176 for that o-ring..

I can't remember the mileage, I think it was in the high 20k miles! 👍
Thank you for posting this! Near impossible to find any info on doing this job. Great video.
Mate you sound like Billy Kimber 😂😂 very helpful video, thanks for the content
@@TommyDeLaRicky thanks for watching and commenting, not sure who Billy Kimber is but I'll take that as a compliment 👍😏

@@melsmotors Thank you very much for your advice, I will take your instructions into account.🤩
🏍🔝🚀👍
Thanks for the upload, is this the same process on the 17+ 1100s?
Yes it should be, only the cylinder capacity is different! 👍
Just curious, why not just change the camchain/timing chain since you're changing the tensioner too
@@molarmassz because the chains don't wear out, the tensioner was a common issue for failure and was modified with a new part number 👍
Does this model have o ring for the plugs on the c/cover
