When I was doing valves on my tuono I was looking for vids like this to sort of show me how everything looks like when it's stripped apart so I would be accustomed to it and more confident in doing the service which in the end turned out successfully
Those Aprilia engines are usually pretty bulletproof. I’m surprised this one had issues. Running a cold engine off the delimiter is a stupid thing to do.
The Rotax built V60 twin has a reputation for being very strong. The early V4, not so much. Valve guides are known to wear prematurely and even the ultimate aprilia fan boy Griff from AP workshops in the UK has advised value clearance service schedule should be conducted at considerably shorter intervals if the bike is frequently used on track. Griff has openly said the first RSV4s aren't so great but the common gremlins have been worked on for latter 1000cc V4. No word on the two 1077cc variants (Tuono motor is slightly different this time) or current 1099cc.
Not sure if it's hydraulic or mechanical chain tensioner so possibly just make sure timing chain doesn't jump a tooth until tensioner is fully engaged...just a guess..👍👍
@@richardmessenger9474 on these bikes you have to engage the tensioner before you tighten the cam gear bolts so when its timed the chain is already tensioned.
That whole Aprillia engineering department need restoration. I can’t believe these bike have poor resale values do to poor engine and electronics workmanship. Period
Hi I want to buy an Aprilia rsv4 2019, can you please tell me what to look out for when buying such a bike because I used to ride a Suzuki gsxr 1000 k7-k8 and a Yamaha R1 2006. Does the aprilia have any weaknesses that I need to especially pay attention to
Is the engine warmed up before that high revs?If not.....not good.
When he turns the bike on, you can see dash is showing 51'c temp at startup, so after 1 min it should be 65'c and read to rev. So no its not cold.
this is the most stupid channel on yt. disassembly the whole engine when only a valve bucket need to be replaced. are you serious?

He stole someone else's video, so he had to crank up the music.

Is it true that aprilia engines are not that reliable?
When you were rotating the engine after assembly, what was the purpose of the metal rod near the cam chain?
Same question, don't understood.

Came for motorcycle content. Paused it,and hit thumbs down as soon as the 'music' started. Bad move, playing shit 'music' and driving viewers away
