Totally. As great as LZ is/was (my and I’m sure many on this comment thread’s #1 all time fave), no one in the band ever played the acoustic and sang it at the same time. Guys like wateretc who come on UA-cam and hammer out a virtually flawless rendition are true musicians. No backing tracks no band members no other instruments. I listened to this song a million times before I was even 30 years old (62 now) and very time marveled at its beauty and appeal. I’ve played guitar for 40 years and am fairly good, but this rendition of this song by “Nick Drake wateretc” is unmatched anywhere I ever seen - on UA-cam or elsewhere. Kudos dude - keep rollin I’m sure you’ve got some income already from your craft.
Almost sounds like John Mayer, love the mellow tone of your voice, very different from the original one, but beautiful and calming to my soul! Keep playing the guitar, keep singing!
I have never commented on a UA-cam video, but then this Going to California cover shows up in my algorithm!! Nicely played with complexity in the chords and voice. My all time favorite from Led Zeppelin is Tangerine. Reminds of someone special and a similar topic to this song. Play that?
