🔥 What If You Could Learn After Effects, With The Confidence To Be Able To Make Your Own Video Effects... In just 30 Days? - flatpackfx.link/motionfx 🔥 5 Free Tips For Awesome Video Effects - flatpackfx.link/5tips
Thank you so much. The tutorial was awesome and easy to follow. IMPORTANT NOTE for those who are doing this (as others have also pointed pointed out)- Do not forget to set the renderer to 3D CLASSIC in the COMPOSITION SETTING in the beginning. Otherwise you will have problems later on. .. It can be done by going to the composition setting (Ctrl+k), Then selecting the 3D renderer (which is next to 'basic' and 'advance' , and then selecting 3D CLASSIC.

Out of all the tutorials i've seen about anything video/photography and screen, This is by far my favorite. 3d projection mapping. I never really understood the concept and potential until now. Many movies that I have already seen in my life make a bit more sense in terms of effects. thank you mate. Great example.
For those having trouble with the walls, ceils and floor being dark, as I did, the fix is under material options for each, to make sure under material options, that "Accepts Lights" is turned to off, keeping "Accepts Shadow set to only. "Casts Shadows" should also be off. Not sure this was mentioned in the tutorial, or if it was, I missed it. Great tutorial however. Many thanks.
Hi Clive, thanks for sharing your thoughts with the community. There is mention of this but some people miss it. I have included free project file so people can compare all the settings. Thanks mate!
For those who are getting blurry images after following the steps, here is a solution for you: Click the Renderer: Classic 3D (Can be found on the top-right) then click "Options..." then change the shadow map to 4000.
Nice tutorial! Have you heard of the vanishing point filter in Photoshop? It's basically a much simpler way to make this effect. You just drag a 2d image in and create planes with the vanishing point and then you can export it to after effects with the camera already there
Awesome Tutorial, thank you very much. As a beginner, this really brought me forward. I discovered that it is way easier to define the position of the 4 walls if you use the Pan Behind tool and snap the Axis System to one of the side edges before you duplicate the layer - then you can easily rotate the new layer along the side edge.
Returning here 2 years after I first saw the video, I realised just now how much I have learnt. I am so grateful for your channel, everytNice tutorialng

Thanks for this! I'm a new After Effects user but I followed this no problem (made notes of all the settings). The only bit that threw me was when you copied the camera position to the light - at first I thought the light and camera positions had to match exactly, but I realise now that they don't, it's just an easy way to make sure the light is covering the whole scene.
Hi Lee, good on you for giving it a go and working through it. Yes the light needs to be behind the image which is just in front of the camera, so that’s why we move it all the way back. Thanks FPfx
Also another thing to add. If you are missing the light transmission option under "materials".... Make sure you have your renderer set to "Classic 3D" (not "Cinema 4d" or anything else). This had me on a wild goose chase for 2 hours.
Superb, thank you!! My recommendation is that if can take a photo of a corridor yourself, remember what focal length you use and then choose the right lens in the AE camera. The settings of your solids will be much easier and better.
What an amazing video!! you really removed a lot of that overwhelming feeling i had thinking about this process.. Thank you for taking the time to make and share this video!!!!!
Thank you very much for this Tutorial. I have tried it and my image is not of the best quality and the hallway is at a very weird angle but I just couldn't help but take this image cause it looked very cool. :D I think I can make it work.

Hey I have a question can we use this 3d image on green screen.
Yes absolutely, you will just need to match the perspective of the camera you use on the green screen
