- As we know, an Amazon Delivery Driver delivers packages. What if I told you that Amazon Drivers have to do pickups now? Not just deliver, but to pickup packages as well? SWA or ship with Amazon now has amazon drivers pick up packages and deliver them throughout their network. Is Amazon trying to be like UPS and Fedex? Find out.

Only 1 of 20ish routes at my DSP does this delivery/pickup route. It's very rare but those who have done it, what do you think?
Love them SWA Commingled routes it’s basically a nursery route with a few pickups. Amazon really tryna make us like UPS and FedEx with this. They also have strictly SWA routes which is solely just pickups. Your old hub used to run them pretty consistently 😂
hopefully when i get hired, my dsp would choose me to be that 1of20 lol been watching you since i got accepted for the job. currently about to do my 3 day training soon. i appreciate the informative videos brother.
@@LaosHouse I have done it twice but was only a couple stops and they where houses and I dropped then back of at my station. Seemed easy but my main concern would be how long it takes to do a pickup compared to a drop off.
Did it for like 3 weeks hated it basically nusery route had to pick up 300 packages and drop off at the hub the had to do ruscues after 😅
When asked for your badge you should pop up if in state had the same issue
Soon you'll be taking returns and cooking all of your customers dinner and tucking their kids in goodnight.. I worked at Kohls, they put me on Amazon returns and it's all I did nonstop until I quit! Almost a year later, my palms still look like crap but luckily I found a new job far away from anything to do with Amazon! They couldn't pay me enough to do your job!✌️
In Germany we have collection orders so instead of going somewhere to give a package we go and pick up a package...
Hilarious, but what you said wouldn’t shock me at this point. Amazon can’t help themselves adding extra, unnecessary shit to do, and crap metrics that keep alienating the driver beyond their limits.
@OldSchoolGaming4Life yeah and the most infuriating thing is he has enough money to treat his employees right and still have more than he'll ever know what to do with, it's sad..
@@gagadreams I thought bezos was no longer in charge of Amazon?
@Salesman he's still the owner isn't he?
I took this job out of desperation but your channel actually has me hyped for it
It’s a miracle you haven’t been fired for recording. Amazon hates that
do you work at amazon?
@@grilledwaffleUsed to, they usually despise having the inner workings revealed. Channel poster is probably getting by because he’s blurring anything that could be remotely considered “sensitive” so they don’t have a valid reason. Yet.
Yea they always have signs saying recording prohibited inside facilities
@@juandoe5651they do not and I’ve been a driver for 5 years. Also they don’t care
@@juandoe5651 but he does well in promoting the way things work...my respect for the operation has increased as a direct result.
My boy, they done hit you with the Uno reverse
for real, for real. I'm an Amazon Pickup Driver now
@@LaosHouse 😂😂
😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Shoot I’d love to do that, more driving, less stops, picking up only a half a dozen packages at a time. I haven’t heard of that anywhere around my station in Cali yet but I hope to hear about something soon. Awesome video as always Chris
I've had to pick up one time. It was only 1 package from a locker. His route was probably shortened because he had to go 40 minutes away before returning, that's basically an hour and a half. Mine was still 190 stops 360 packages, probably because the Pickup was in my delivery area, and return to station.
Top drivers and bottom drivers? Is that productivity? It's cool to post the top ones for motivation, by why post the bottom ones? They should just use employee numbers or something instead of public shaming lol...
Bro China has done the same but in public with electric billboards, it lists high & low "Social Credit Score" holders to shame ppl. Real dystopian stuff....
I agree what the fuck
@@Acheron.426 Chiná does something similar in regards to exposing peoples Social Credit Scores to the public unfortunately
It's not as bad as you think. At Amazon our DSP does that too, it's not as big a deal as you think. Top Drivers are drivers that Amazon is 100% pleased with, and bottom drivers means Amazon is like 94% pleased with. It's all based of Cutomer Feedback, and basic policy following. And then Amazon gives each driver a score. Now lets say 5 customers give a review about the delivery. 4 are good 1 is bad. That driver is at 80%. But it's just 5 customers out of the 800-1000 for the week. Nobody really cares. It's basically just to tell those drivers to like hey don't do this or that. Amazon has a scoring System and anything less than 100% is unnaceptable. But you know there's things you can't control, like a customer that specifically requests a signature, but isn't home for some reason, they can write a complaint. Amazon will usually filter those ones out, because it's not the drivers fault. But it's other things like bad pictures and stupid shit. And the way Amazon does it is really messed up. My score has been 100% for like 6 months, and every month my score goes down. But as a driver you can check you own stats like an athlete. My shit says 100% on everything, but -64 for customer compliance even though it says 4/4. Which means I did the correct thing 4 times out of 4.
You soft people are what's wrong with everything. "Public shaming" to be on the bottom of a leaderboard. Stop it.
Another Amazon building = rival turf 😂
😂
Shout out your building number at random and run😂
@@coolarrow30 nah you gotta do it with gang signs
I have respect for all you Amazon drivers. You guys are definitely underpaid.
maybe one day itlll change
@@LaosHousewe about to get a raise my boy!!!
@@hooddolphen5567 Elaborate?
Who tf cares about respect? Show me the money
I mean if they want to get paid as a fedex or ups driver then they need to do pickups and everything like those drivers do.
How cool. I liked your video and suddenly realized you were filming in Clifton. I grew up there and haven't been there in 25 years! Thanks for sparking great memories!!
OMG u a really chill dude. As soon as I hear the trippe Red song I new u legit . been subbed for a while but now I'm a fan
15:46 I'm fine with listing the top Drivers on a board, but doing it with worst perfoming drivers is just terrible
As an Amazon seller, they are terrible. Too many delivery & pickup issues.
They might have staffing issues which can easily be resolved if they would pay decent wages based on supply and demand.
Unionize now!
Teamsters
at least you still have an account. been fighting them over section 3 for months. (have all the invoices to prove authenticity, they keep rejecting them anyway)
@@redwolfexr Walmarts better anyways. I sell 3-4x more.
@@RedOliveIndustries Walmart rejects most applications and won't tell you why. In many ways that is even worse than Amazon.
Chris, how do you stay so happy and upbeat? I do this job, and most days are okay. But you have this infectious joy that i am so jealous of
I'll have to rewatch with audio on. Once I get a chance. I'm pretending to watch the Donna Adelson trial with rapt fascination. Sibby has it up on the living room telly. She's none the wiser. Boo ya.
Don't let things bother you. Think of all the things that make you happy. Just have fun. Think of it as play, not work.
Getting less stops is great and all now but knowing amazon they'll slowly increase the amount of pickups and stops
I'm surprised they are allowing you to record while working. Cool video on delivery and pickup side ....my guy supports the automation. He's making some six-figure managing multiple warehouses and teams.
yeah it aways take people a while to understand how amazion works n how rough it is they will work you like a HORSE n then throw you in the dumpster thank god i got quit years ago XD
13:32 Chris “Let’s see if I can figure this shi… stuff out” lol😂
thats wild they have the bottom drivers written on the board in the middle of the warehouse lmao
I love to get home for the night shift only to watch someone else work 😂
It be like that sometimes
I appreciate this video. Thank you
Amazon should be picking up from their sellers and picking up their own returns rather than having all the other carriers do it. Royal mail started doing parcel pickups alongside mail deliveries a few years back most of them are Amazon Returns and we only have tiny little vans.
We feel your struggle. We have those same tiny vans and they are packed as far as the eye can see, which is about 3 inches. And they want that stuff all cleared out by 5PM. Note... we don't actually start until 11AM. Sometimes earlier, sometimes later, depending on what company you work for. It's complete insanity. Those vans aren't meant to have 400 packages in them.
Lmfao you’re finally doing what UPSers and fedexers do? Cute.
Great video, you show the real side of Amazon, have a great weekend 👍
It’s called a commingle route I do them here in California, it’ll range from 50-100 stops and I’ve had up to 8 pick up stops , you can even go to customers houses and pick up packages also 👍
Yeah it’s the same thing as ups FedEx etc lol
you drove by another Amazon truck right near the beginning of the video...i thought you might give the other driver a simple wave or gesture? Is there a reason you guys don't? Maybe its because you would be waving all day lol...or is it that your hand would be off the steering wheel?? Just a thought...great video. I think you're amazing at your job!!
Can you imagine you've ordered something from Amazon and Chris delivers it 😍
Yo Chris love the videos our DSP is shutting down soon very sudden it sucks. We were a rental van only DSP but super chill.
The way the vans look at the warehouse in a line reminds me of squid game
a new Chris sing videoooooo
I gotchu
its called a Roundabout ..
I work at DHL in Germany. We also have to pick up packages while delivering packages. Some guys who work at our delivery station only do it, if it is a registered pickup. But you can also pick up if people randomly ask you on the streets (without being registered).
Bro ..!! Awesome , brilliant outstanding , cool channel , cool video clip , get paid , especially Amazon prime , thanks god bless America
This is what happens when you’re not unionized!
They force you instead of bargaining
Most of my packages already come damaged.Union workers will only make it worse.I quit buying John Deere machines because unions destroyed the quality of work.
@@LoggerMane misinform.
Most automakers here in the US are unionized
Not to mention healthcare is also unionized
So you’re telling me most cars on the road are built with poor quality?
@@Sammy0003 I'm pro union, but that's really not a good argument with the quality of cars today.
Well those union boys are carrying their signs outside my jobsite right now. We're still earning and they keep leaving every hour to go to the bathroom and then back to standing on the side of their road with a sign.
@@GeneralChangFromDanang of course not the same quality as before since now all the materials are plastic.

I quit 3 weeks ago after 5 years. I just can't anymore. Bless you bro
@7:35. Thats near Delawanna Ave. near Rutts Hut. I used to work up there in the Data Centers. I knew that bridge and business looked familiar, unless im mistaken. Your almost at 100k. Keep grinding bro
04:39 the delivery photo with the dogs in the background should be in an art museum
Need it to be in the training videos 😂
I’d LOVE to have Amazon pick up my return whenever they make my next delivery, they are there anyways and easy peazy for them. 😊
I finally got out of this but still watch you boys go through it. I loved this job but they just kept adding more rules and more bullshit. Especially being in summer texas making us turn the van off at every stop. I got frontrunner of the month from Amazon and got rewarded with more packages and more stops. Once i started getting back to the station after 10pm every day i knew i was done. Good luck out there man. Amazon, fed ex, and ups drivers are out there working damn hard
1:41, the moment you said you got 10 carts, my heart SANK!!
haha I meant 10 bags!!!!
Finally new video
Love it!
thanks!
It's nice you got people helping you for those pickups
We don't get paid enough as drivers!
Everyday I get pick ups unfortunately… also, 170-180 stops daily 😭 need a raise bro 📦🏃 Good video Chris! It’s always cool watching you fam! 💯
Love your UA-cam videos Chris.. keep them coming and faster 😁👍
I have thought about quitting many times but I’m basically at the point where I’m ready to move on fr
Whats the stupidest "manufacturer's packaging" you've seen?
The other day we came across 3 pairs of socks, completely open to everything. Just a piece of cardboard big enough for a label, that they were stapled to. White socks, riding down the dirty rollers, getting stowed in a dusty bag. There's no way they weren't ruined before they got there.
I think it was a company that made fans they had their own special box for it. But they didn't use tape. I wrote a review to them as the guy that had to deliver it, and told them to "put fucking tape on the box." So a few weeks later I got them again, and they used tape this time.
Your Amazon Vlogs are really good and I like your voice and your car!!! 💯💙🤗
Hi, I'm Max from Moscow. I dream of moving to live in the USA, and for the first time I think I will work at Amazon Flex, your videos inspire me
Wild I get to see ya driving around my hometown Clifton!! The city so large we got 5 zip codes, cheers to you navigating this gigantic city and its bad traffic/drivers 😂😭
I remember my first SWA route , yeah your picking up business customers items to be delivered
We UPS and FedEx now
@@LaosHouse I like it because it breaks the week up , we gotta be done by 2pm and be at first pickup at 2:30. Then be back by 5pm. Idk though we haven't gotten those.routes in awhile now I think.about it
pretty cool how those delivery stations you can drive into the building, at mine you have to roll the carts outside the building
It’s about time Amazon picks up their own shit. I’m an ups driver and I’m tired of picking shit up for Amazon.
At least you’re getting paid way more lol
You really want the non unionized scabs to take our work?
Profit from USPS and Amazon is not that good I wish we could all ties like that extent and treat them like competitors@@Alltimefox
lol
I like UPS pickup. I guess Amazon is cheaping out with their own drivers.
I use to do deliveries, around 100 stops, 200 miles mostly 30-60 lb boxes, 100+ once in awhile now its mostly 60-90 lb boxes with 30-40% being over 100lbs. Use scan a stop run up hit one button and leave, now its grab a dolly, deliver furniture, hit around 10 buttons including a picture, have to always follow a customers delivery location request, and now ring the doorbell or knock while having AI cameras complaining if you drive to fast or turn to quick. Next thing will be white glove services and then we will bring rolls of TP just in case someone needs their butt wiped. All for the same under $20 an hour.
Godspeed you poor bastard, hope you arent strained
So there's a couple of shelfs?! I thought they packed it from the back like a van. And that a pre-planned algo directed how the van is loaded with packages. The nearest items placed on the top right near the back door and the farthest items at the bottom left behind the driver.
I used to get routes like this but my dispatch (also lead driver) would go do the pickups for me and then have me do rescues. I was alright with it, easy route
Hey man I'm a delivery driver for DeutschePost/DHL in Germany and saw some of your videos, it is crazy how diffrent the workenvironment is
What are the differences?
When I was working at my old DSP they had me on a regular/heavy route then do an amazon fresh pickup after, and still expect me to be back before the 10 hr time.
Looking at the route you got from a refuse standpoint, the route seems like a great one to run
Man I hope we dont get this.
I don't think I've ever seen a modded Tesla before.
that's super !Chris!😎
que paso eprohoda?!
New Jersey...?? I hate jug handle turns. They're so insanely counter-intuitive.
Easy job. Over here in Spain all pachages are delivered in person or returned and scheduled for redelivery
4:50 wait don't you have to stop before the stop sign. Its so annoying lol
Yes 2 to 3 feet before it and zero miles per hour. Maybe the camera was not working if not that is clearly an infraction.
If they ever gave me 10 carts, I quit that day, move it all to my vehicle, load as much as possible, then walk out.
So I work for a postal company in Canada and I have a delivery/pickup route. My route (right now) consist 119 stops and 6 regular customer pick ups and on top of that sometimes I would have 2-3 customers that will place an order for pick ups. So my pick up total could range from 8-10 customers.
Lucky man! 130 stops for me is a beautiful day. It would 3 hours max to finish🤣
Amazon turning into FedEx with pickups during deliveries now
Well, if it keeps customers from going to Staples and so on. I depend on the city bus as I am disabled, so it would be nice for Amazon to do pick ups. I am sure there is a price for pick up OR jack up prime even MORE.
With no benefits. STAY AWAY FROM AMAZON!
We actually trying to be a full logistics company now
I've done pick ups 3 or 4 times. The most frustrating thing about pick ups was the scanning process at the end.
Delivering TEMU packages nice!
W Trippie Redd song at the start!!!
It's a song that goes hard and be chill at the same time
Strange ups drivers use to do pickups back in the day, they stopped some time ago in my area, I didn't know amazon didn't do them.
Well Amazon has 1 less customer now cause the whole Prime day today and tomorrow. There was a whole bunch of things I wanted to buy cause of the "deal". But Amazon just increased there before price, crossed it out and claims its like a 45% discount when in reality its literally the exact same price. Screw Amazon.
12:01 you ain't reading your screen bro, that clearly says deliver 10 packages not pick up. :D
Awesome video Chris. Do any of your customers recognize you from your videos?
It’s an old program that there bringing back back when I started with Amazon’s we used to have the option to come in on weekends to just do 3/4 hours and it would consist of 2/3 pick ups then they stopped it for a good while and now there re introducing it I guess.
😂 I was just listening to Trippie on Thursday, 😢 I work for Fedex Ground 😭. Pick Ups are fine as long as they're already ready TO GO!
I hate pick ups over on the xl side we hate them either pick ups not ready or customer never available or cancel
dude my mom made me spaghetti and now im watching chris sing
W
Your mom made me spaghetti too.
People, Respect All Drivers if you know what's good for you --- It's Real on the Roads...!
This is actually good y’all r doing pick ups, I drive for FedEx for a contractor and I do pick ups everyday along with deliveries. Bad thing is I only get paid $140 for each day I work not hourly. Really does suck
Me too it’s horrible
I barley do pickups from lockers I’m looking forward to the future and see how I get pickups from customers if I’ll still be staying as an Amazon delivery driver
I work for the usps and i have package pick ups plus mail plus amazon packages dont cry to me your ONLY delivering packages and now getting pick ups? sheeeeeesh
Hey Chris there are lots of diff things you can do working for Amazon you don’t just have to do deliveries because the nice thing is you can transfer every 30 days if you change and it is something you don’t like. I have found that is is something for everyone.
Delivery Drivers don't work for Amazon. This may be true for Warehouse workers, because they do work for Amazon, but drivers are just drivers, they work for a separate company, whose sole job is delivering packages. The only other job a Driver can get is Dispatcher, but that's a position and one they will likely not get to. That's usually for the drivers with the most experience, who were promoted.
Hey I also work for Amazon but I do warehouse at a TNS. I am currently a PA almost 6 years now total tenor.
Damn listing the bottom drivers publicly is wildly dystopian.
The driving circles are called 'Roundabouts' btw lol.
0:29 bird is just chillin
As a brand new delivery driver idk if I care at all tbh might be easier as long as they are separated
I like your content bro. I am starting as a driver soon. Going to the interview/onboarding tomorrow at noon. Hoping I can get a full 40 and pick up OT hours in the holiday season so I can save enough to get a car in early 2025. I have applied at BOTH FedEx AND Amazon and am going to do my physical/test for Fedex after I leave the Amazon interview and figure out which is better
I am SO confused. I can't tell which one I will make more money with for the least amount of days.
Any input, since you've done both?
As a business owner, I would love to be able to tap into Amazon's network of shipping. With delivery 7 days a week by Amazon drivers, it will enhance customer experience. And since Amazon is in every neighbourhood multiple times a day, I don't see whats wrong with them picking up packages, but perhaps lighten the delivery load off drivers to compensate having to make extra stops
You don’t see anything wrong with it cause you don’t see ppl slinging 300-500 packages a day it’s rough out here sometimes
There are a lot of ups facilities closing, i guess Amazon is taking over
Hey Chris, love your videos! You're videos gave me the idea of what Amazon was going to be like when I started here June 2023. I just wanna say became a top driver and am now training for dispatch. Also, I work in the Atlanta area and we've had these routes for a few months but don't get them very often. It's called a "Commingled" normally it's never more than 80 stops and then lve heard anywhere form 1-10 pickups. Sometimes it's none at all but it's a smaller route up to like 150 stops
Hey Chris, love the channel - I'm a fellow courier, I currently work at DHL. I was wondering, would you happen to be looking for a video editor/motion designer?
Top drivers and then listing bottom drivers. That kinda messed up. They could just list the top if they wanted.
NOTICE TO PUBLIC: Respect Amazon Drivers on the road --- they are underpaid and doing a job you can't handle that is often next to impossible with unbearable conditions --- Stop Road Raging over a blocked street or a few minute delay, or find out what happens when someone SNAPS...!
I've had a couple of these route called SWA route, so we only get like 50ish stops with 120 packages and we have to deliver everything before 2:30 which is our pick up time start and we have like 5-7 pick up and we get done by 6 pm which isn't bad but I rather have a regular route
yep. the amazon guy at the end calls them his Swa's
115 stops in one day is crazy
