Amazon driver here for Roanoke TX. This will be my 3rd peak. I want to make vlogs like this people don’t understand how hard it is to deliver in Texas country where there’s nothing but dirt roads and trees.
I work for USPS and we get some of Amazon's packages, lately it's been a lot of their oversized packages (dog food etc.) I was surprised that we didn't get more volume during Prime Day- guess the Amazon drivers locally are kicking ass! Seriously doubt that it was because of low volume sales😂
“I’m gonna be monitoring you all” yeah just sitting around all day on your laptop and phone doing absolutely nothing. I hate these types of mangers. I definitely don’t miss working at Amazon
@@Ambi1021 Yeah I’ve seen what they do, i use to work at amazon. They literally sit down all day on their phones and laptop and just monitor people. They’ve even told me it’s a cake ass job lol.
Having been both a driver and an OPS coordinator (dispatcher) there is more going on behind the scenes of the "desk job" than a lot of people realize. From working out time management for drivers that are behind.. (sending rescues that EVERYONE loves SOOOOOOO much!!) Trouble shooting van's over the phone,.. helping with delivery problems,.. if its an access issue,.. damaged package.. etc. Then there is the whole process if one of the drivers is in an accident, or gets injured.. It gets frustrating some nights when you consistently have the same drivers that fall behind at the same time.. every night they are out. While you can have a new person come in, and just go out and crush their route every single day! And its always the hardest working/fastest drivers that get screwed into going on rescues. I personally don't have the "power" to even write people up.. so, all I can do is try to "coach them" which gets irritating at times. More often than not, its my fast drivers that ask how they did on a day, thinking they where behind the entire time.. then my slow drivers are surprised when I show them their "graph" for the night trying to help them understand why they where behind. But like in this video,.. Chris was sent out to deliver a battery pack to a driver. Not really a huge deal,. but that's just a small example of issues that can happen during a day. To be honest, there are days I would rather be out on a route delivering. Its hard work,.. but you don't have people breathing down your neck all day.. unless your behind on your route. Otherwise, you can pretty much just do your own thing as long as you get done on time..

have you thought about wearing a hi viz pants? not related to this accident, just asking. there are ones that have zippers, so you can either have a short, or a full long pant. It is really crazy how different it is from every route depending on your DPS, I usually deliver to the country sides, I feel that on those places are more easier than on the City
I think so too. not too much countryside where i'm live
I think you’re a good person and nothing’s wrong with your voice
Noooooo I need the yapping!!! Haha love your vids anyway man
Congratulations Darrell, i dont know you, but you are always there...
he a team player for real
I can't really watch videos while I am working but I like to listen to the audio and hear about your experiences. So I would like for your talking back! 😢
In Royal Mail in the UK, the CWU union wouldn't allow "bottom drivers" to be displayed, that must play havoc with the drivers mental health.
ayeeee another banger dropped :D , i personally very much enjoy the yapping videos such a vibe really good for multi tasking (playing the game with you on on the other screen LMAOOO)
Nice
🔥
10 years at Amazon, I was a packer, picker, stower, dock worker etc...... finally over, next chapter, GFY Amazon, never delt with so much shit in my life.
The other day, my ev was undercharged so i was given a rental. Had to stuff 15 totes and 40 OF. I drove my ASS off without a netradyne
You're almost more "physical" with dropping off packages than I am lol
Maybe I could lay off the TLC when delivering.
Great shift. Felt lonely without you talking to us but it made for a nice chill change
Hey man im in Jersey as well. What DSP are you at?
Yea Friday and Saturday was bad man, had me doing 450-490 packages with 6 carts in downtown in my area. Absolutely brutal man
back half really got messed up for real
Did this for 5 years I'm done 👍🎉
@@LaosHouse it is what it is, I work 5 days a week and average 1800-2400 packages a week it’s brutal meanwhile people who are slow and suck only average 900. I usually finish routes in 5 hours with a guarantee of 10 each day
Enjoyed the vid, but def prefer your commentary along with them 8)
It was a little sad not to hear Chris talking. Depressing even :( keep up the conversations!
I can hear those crappy Motorola phones. They’re the worst. Here in Denver, we have launch pads outside. It’s when they give a route that’s almost nothing but businesses and apartments that really get to me.
Watching this video makes me miss working at FedEx express tbh. Mostly the paycheck lol but I definitely miss driving all the time.
I rescued from time to time, I always took 3 bags to give the driver I rescued a good boost in his/her route...
i start training tomorrow. Was a construction worker for 6 years, recently laid off so i thought why not give it a try? Got any useful tips you don't mind sharing? Thanks.
we need yapping chris back, but this was also kinda therapeutic to watch
I enjoy the change up and enjoy all videos
have you thought about wearing a hi viz pants? not related to this accident, just asking. there are ones that have zippers, so you can either have a short, or a full long pant. Also if you opt for yellow or orange or lime, you can have the hi viz color effect, (so people can spot you and distinguish your outline from urban environments) and have reflective stripes so they can see you outside your van after dark. i guess for your job its the perfect use. Reflective stripes and hi viz colors work best and are in best use in your job, getting in and out of the van, exiting in the back of the van etc.
Not the same without you talking the entire video. These AMSR’s are cool and all, but I definitely prefer the regular format. Prime week 2.0, over. Peak, here we come… lol 🥴
LoL at the boy band music in the background 😂
