The only people who caused them to be "jacked around for over a year" is them. They are the ones who didn't get the driver's and DSP's insurance information and then submit a claim to the DSP's insurance provider. Instead, they spent over a year jacking around people who had nothing to do with the damages to their property. Even going so far as submitting a claim to an insurance company who had to bluntly tell them "The party responsible for damage to your property is not insured with us. Therefore, we must deny your claim." What did they expect from an insurance company who didn't insure them, the driver or the driver's employer? To say "The party responsible doesn't have an insurance policy with us, but out of the kindness of our hearts we have determined that you were too dumb to find out who insured the person who damaged your property so we will pay because we are nice people who help out the mentally challenged when you get yourselves into a pickle." These people were the ones jacking around because the process for an insurance claim is very easy and straightforward. People with basic life skills are able to obtain insurance information from an at-fault driver and/or police report and submit an insurance claim to the at-fault driver's actual insurance. This could have been as easy as: 1. Obtain contact and insurance information for the DSP's insurer 2. Obtain copy of police report for insurance purposes 3. Submit an insurance claim to the DSP's insurer 4. The at-fault driver's insurer approves the claim and pays 5. It's over and done with This doesn't take a year. The only reason this took a year and required the media to get involved is because this couple lacks basic life skills. It's not hard to submit a valid insurance claim to an at-fault driver's insurance. What did they expect? That an insurance company that doesn't insure the party responsible for damage to do all the hard work for them or just handle it for them? The facts here are quite easy to grasp. It's not like the driver avoided telling the police their information when the police took a report. There was no reason that the couple, if they had basic life skills, could not have submitted a valid insurance claim to the DSP's insurer and there was no reason an insurance company that doesn't insure anyone involved that day had to say "The party responsible doesn't have an insurance policy with us. Therefore, we must deny your claim." It was as simple as 1) obtain insurance information and/or police report, 2) submit an insurance claim to the proper insurer, 3) receive payment for damages This could have all been handled in days or at most about a month but the couple just had to keep jacking everyone around instead of just doing what they needed to do which is to submit an insurance claim to the proper insurer.

Since it is considered a sensitive DOT job they are not allowed to drive after an accident requiring tow away. They go straight to a clinic for urine sample and alcohol test. Pretty much the only reason they do that is because they lowball the drivers so it's cheaper than using USPS, FedEx or UPS even if it is of slightly lesser quality. If it was cheaper to use those couriers they would but the only way to save money on the shipping costs is by doing it themselves. If Amazon was smart, they would comp Prime for life, but I know they wouldn't go that far. I bet they got 10% back in credit.
I would make sure they paid for Mt lawyer's time as well.
So, the solution was basically embarass them.
@@ddavis8988 that’s part of the settlement. Listen again they can disclose the terms and conditions part of the settlement so no you can’t if you were them 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤡
The only people who caused them to be "jacked around for over a year" is them. Therefore, we must deny your claim."
What did they expect from an insurance company who didn't insure them, the driver or the driver's employer? To say "The party responsible doesn't have an insurance policy with us, but out of the kindness of our hearts we have determined that you were too dumb to find out who insured the person who damaged your property so we will pay because we are nice people who help out the mentally challenged when you get yourselves into a pickle."
These people were the ones jacking around because the process for an insurance claim is very easy and straightforward. People with basic life skills are able to obtain insurance information from an at-fault driver and/or police report and submit an insurance claim to the at-fault driver's actual insurance. This could have been as easy as:
1. Obtain contact and insurance information for the DSP's insurer
2. Obtain copy of police report for insurance purposes
3. Submit an insurance claim to the DSP's insurer
4. The at-fault driver's insurer approves the claim and pays
5. It's over and done with
This doesn't take a year. Therefore, we must deny your claim."
It was as simple as 1) obtain insurance information and/or police report, 2) submit an insurance claim to the proper insurer, 3) receive payment for damages
This could have all been handled in days or at most about a month but the couple just had to keep jacking everyone around instead of just doing what they needed to do which is to submit an insurance claim to the proper insurer.

Nah, they just fire them. It's the DSP that does that.
Job wil take a hit, license will not.
Why? Private property. As long as there are no people injured (or worse), they cannot go after a license unless a crime is committed.
Since it is considered a sensitive DOT job they are not allowed to drive after an accident requiring tow away. They go straight to a clinic for urine sample and alcohol test. Then DSP will note that on their PSP. So they will have difficultiy getting another job. One last thing if they fail the drug or alochol test they lose their Commercial Driving privilege immediately. They can still drive a car just not a commercial vehicle.
Definitely. Property damage is illegal. Should have called the police, but in this specific instance (a successful & professional African American couple), calling police is a non starter.
Bringing this issue up to media relations made this a PR move, not a "customer first" move. @@Familyguy830your user name says otherwise 🤔 na im just kidding 😊 I have the same problem, and I'm the nicest person I know 🤗
@@samboandthemasonator ha. Yea it’s weird because I look like a cholo that’s mad dogging people all the time that’s why I always try to smile
"Call Harry people" 🤣
I used to deliver in these Amazon vans. You aren't working for Amazon, you are working for another company contracted to deliver their goods. Fault should lie on the DSP
Outsourcing, although it has increased convenience, has completely destroyed quality and service in America.
That's false. Outsourcing sometimes improves the service we have. And quite often it does.
Pretty much the only reason they do that is because they lowball the drivers so it's cheaper than using USPS, FedEx or UPS even if it is of slightly lesser quality. If it was cheaper to use those couriers they would but the only way to save money on the shipping costs is by doing it themselves. It provides jobs to those who would otherwise be unemployed and it's often more reliable around the holidays since delivery couriers have a hard time keeping up with the massive amounts of stuff being ordered online around this time of year. Amazon would've already made this assessment and figured out the benefit outweighs the cost.
This should make everyone rethink if using amazon is smart
This is a weird set up. I would nit have taken any vehicle down that ramp. Because of the master servant relationship, amazon is still responsible, even more so because these people only deliver for them and no one else. So much for risk transfer attempt.
Why would she need to pull that far up anyway? She totally passed the front door
Incompetence. She was texting her baby daddy about rent money while he in jail. The outsourced company hired her because she checked them boxes.
She was too lazy to walk up the steep driveway.
My Amazon delivery truck parks on my street, not my driveway.
@@AFAskygoddess lazy? I want to see you walk up those long driveways 200 times a day and see how you do
@@Gabez82ok 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄..
better to put a warning sign of low clearance on the carport.
We all know Amazon uses 3pl companies, but Amazon should be responsible for the actions of those subcontractors when Amazon's name is on the trucks and vans
Yep. That is how it works legally. Then if they want to sue the subcontractor after they can.
Soo sick of Amazon drivers. Always flying up and down small roads. Parking like morons.
This is why you have insurance.
Honestly I’m pretty sure a lawyer can fight it because they have the name Amazon on the van.
Pretty sure Amazon would get involved if a random person put Amazon on their vehicle and offered courier services.
That retaining wall was already like that lmao 😂😂😂😂
Well get your lawyer, you get more than what you asked for 😂
