The problem with history is that it’s usually told by the conquerer and rarely told by the conquered. It’s also so nuanced that any well meaning treaties or volume is too short. While I would disagree it’s “all” a lie, there are lots of omissions and gloss overs. Personally when I want straight facts that will make my head spin. I read Noam Chomsky and similar. If I want the story as observed from the side of the vanquished, i read Howard Zinn and similar.

      "Then, something happened.."
Oh, and speaking of engineering, science and stuff like that, I think most of his talk on ions and EMF indicate that HE has bought into THAT propaganda without ever having tested the reality of it all.
There should be virtually NO ionic discharge from any earbuds or laptops or cellphones. Outside of trees and such, ions only happen in our real lives when a VERY high voltage interacts with air molecules. I suggest that he get a real EMF meter or ion detector (if that even exists) and go around his life measuring that kind of stuff.
Oh, and one other 'funny' thing.. When kids today leave their ultra-liberal universities, many come out hating monopolies and "Big Business." Which I personally find hilarious, because some of the largest monopolies are in the "Education Industry" (like the Teachers' Unions, where competition is opposed at all levels) and with billion-dollar endowments, who could honestly say that "Big College" isn't a "Big Business"??

I have a great life story for you. I joined the Marines in 1986 and was discharged after 4 years of honorable service. I wanted to be a welder but they made me a cook so i got out. I quickly registered at a Jr college because I was told that college is the only way to go. I had a new GI bill now and was gonna use it. I studied forestry (don't ask, it was because of a chick) for a year before i realized my massive $250.00 GI Bill check and the 2 other jobs I had just were not covering the ability to survive. Hell, Rent was $350 and groceries were $40 dollars a week and the government (our buddy) just made insurance for everyone mandatory on my beat up, but paid for, 1980 Honda so another $26.00 a month was being taken from me. I was at a Circle K one morning getting my coffee and breakfast (2 hotdogs for a buck) and this guy at the register was bitching that he just lost his truck driver and needed another. I said, "I can drive a truck" as I actually drove one for one day in the military to get a card for it (never touched one after that day). Guy hires me and then sends me and his truck down to get a new class B CDL (this was the first week for license changes to mandatory CDLs because the government (our buddy) mandated it. I passed the test and got my CDL and went to work. 5 years later I have a Class A CDL and I am working for BFI hauling garbage, medical waste and running a landfill making 75k a year. In 1997 I get divorced and BFI sells out so I decide I should go back to college to make the big bucks (eye roll). So, I join the local Army National Guard Infantry Unit and take a job as a grave digger in a local cemetery to pay for school and study straight thru for 4 years and in 2001 I graduate with honors and have 15k in student debt. I immediately get my first college job with local city making 28k a year. I managed to keep that miserable job for a year before I was activated to go fight overseas. I come back but my job is gone (Soldiers and Sailors Relief and Protection Act Was all Bullshit, "Thanks Buddy"). I deploy again to help pay off my miserable 15k student loan and then one more time again because there are NO JOBS AVAILABLE in 2007 for anyone with my degree. I am wounded in Afghanistan in 2007 and quickly discharged from the service but find out I am eligible for the newer GI Bill. As soon as I physically can I find a local trade school welding program. I enter the program and am certified after 18 months and am immediately picked up by a structural company making 65K a year. I was a welder, then a CWI, then a safety manager, now a projects manager! I should have become a welder at 18 years old as I would have been a multi millionaire by now!

My husband and I are both with MS in Engineering from prestigious schools, both have patents. Our professional lives were and still are very rewarding, full of challenges and never boring.
We have 2 sons of which one went through college all the way, earning PhD in English, still paying his debts, without tenure, going from one teaching job to another. He became a bitter “woke” thing, angry with the world and penniless.
The younger son took 1 yr of college, left, then took several jobs, where he acquired very valuable skills and knowledge. Later he found 2 other guys to start their business, which became very successful. His learning will never end, but by now his Engineering skills are on a par with his dad’s! 😃 He had to go through the school of hard knocks, but he never blamed others for that- just picked himself up and started over with the same determination.

Graduated Highschool Uninspired by formal education and with a 1.7gpa. Went straight to work as an electricians apprentice. 12 years later I work for a huge corporation who makes tools for my trade training sales reps and contractors on those tools. Work in the field based from home, payed well. There are other opportunities besides putting work in all day if your good at what you do in the Trades. That said, Journeyman electricians where I’m at clear 100k a year and if they like OT they can easily reach 150k. We’re talking 50-60 an hour. My wife is a pharmacist and by the time she got out of school and working we make the same pay. Except she has a lot of student debt. Trades are a great move right now, the industry is so short handed that you can almost afford to wipe sweat off your brow with $100 bills.

I got through about 80% of an engineering degree, but struggled because I spent all my time reading and outlining the books and that takes time, rather than "playing the game" (an actual thing an academic advisor told me) i.e. just learning the handful of problems that'll be on the test.
Those kids got to pass and placed in careers because they were _obedient_ which is now the purpose of higher education. Back in the day you had to read and learn, now you have to do as you're told to acquire a certificate of obedience.

And educate myself by keeping my mind open and asking questions and learning from books and any other life sources.
