Ek het nie geweet jy is 'n Suid Afrikaner nie! In die vroeë 90's was daar 'n grassnyer, die Professional. Dit was die enigste grassnyer met rollaers (bearings) in in sy wiele en hy het 'n Robin opgehad. Volgens my is dit 'n baie goeie masjien.
My grandfather would use gasoline often when cleaning parts a long time ago. Just the smell of it getting on things, especially your clothes. I don't mind the fumes, but when it saturates stuff, it stinks lol
Looks like you have a nice challenge ahead of you,you do acquire some interesting projects.just keep doing what your doing and carry on. Good video.kudos 👍👍👍😎😎😎
Hello! Just by looking at the first part you can already see that the engine is going to look good. Very good restoration work. I ask if you could help me to get spare parts for a Robin EY14 generator that I have restored. I need some oversized piston rings +0.25 and the starter handle. Do you know of any website to buy them? Thank you!
@@AJRestoration Hello! I live in Spain and although the Robin/Subaru engines are sold here it is almost impossible to get the spare parts. I have found some on eBay and AliExpress. But I don't get what I'm missing. The generator works perfectly now but I would love to get those two missing parts. Where do you live? Thank you!
Doesn’t matter where your from bro, your vid’s are great! I loved the 2000000 dollar gas. Pretty soon it’ll be that much here in the USA thanks to Mr. Potato head.😅
When I was a kid (in the 60’s) I found an abandoned lawn mower in a sand pit. I dragged it home behind my bicycle to try and repair it. I tore down the engine and left it soaking overnight in gasoline, not realizing I was turning our basement into a potential fuel air bomb. Fortunately, nothing set it off.
@@AJRestoration I got lucky on the settings. It started on the second pull. I don’t really understand why it was dumped. I didn’t really know anything about engines at that age but I couldn’t see anything obviously wrong and it ran perfectly. It must have had something to do with the rest of the mower.
One of many "Robin" engines..that You own..😄🌟👍.Nice !!
I do have a few of them haha, kind of saving and collecting them.
Fun project! This is how ignorant I am about two-stroke engines: I didn't know that some two-strokes have a separate oil sump 😯
It is fun. Most 2 strokes to not have a separate oil sump, this is purely to lubricate the governor.
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
Morning!
@@AJRestoration Thank you Sir for seeing me here..
Another masterpiece! Such a pleasure to watch! Thank you 💕
Thank you so much!
Great work! 👍 very surprised to see you this side of the world! Regards from PTA, RSA!!
Thank you! PTA here also haha
Excellent.
Many thanks!

Yes, I have dedicated clothes when I clean with gasoline so my other clothes does not smell.
very nice
Thanks
Well at least you got that flywheel off the engine with.out breaking it one day you can get a flywheel puller there young man 👍😎
Its hard to find a proper flywheel puller for these small engines, I will probably have to make my own some time.
@@AJRestoration that sounds like a great thing to do
04:46 - “Whoa! Deja vu!”
Haha oops!
pentane is really good for degreasing
Never heard of it?
it is really a very troublesome thing, good luck with your work, my good friend, I wish you continued success
Thank you very much
the oil seales and piston rings has seen better days, my goodness, what a oil mess...
Indeed, I took me almost 4 hours to degrease it. The previous guy didn't give 2 shits about this engine.

Thanks, will do! I also enjoy these projects, its a little more challenging.
Would love to see it in gokart tho
I do have that same thought, I would just do it properly without cutting and welding.
the led isent dying its the driver you can tell from the blinking out that it keeps resetting itself
I will have to replace the driver then, thankfully that is not a hard job to do.
At first I thought you had misspelled “miscellaneous” but then I realized it was my brain malfunctioning.
I had to google it hahaha
$2000000 of gasoline 😂😂😂

Depending where you live, I buy all my spares from a local business.

Hahahaha yes, gas prices are quite insane at the moment. I mentioned what country I am, turns out a lot of South-Africans stumble upon my channel.
How much horsepower?
Yeah, that piston is a nice paperweight now, lol
That's a lot of dollars $2000000 💸💸💸💸
Gasoline is the best degreaser for sure
Indeed!

Yes it can cause quite a disaster, thankfully nothing happened. Could you save the engine though?
