As an older ENTP, I have had to develop my Si to be able to function in the world of others’ expectations and schedules as well as my own. It feels awful and constraining at first, but as you start with the rhythms Antonia talks about and gradually make those rhythms more and more specific until not just one day follows another but one action follows another, it gets easier and life gets less chaotic. Deadlines no longer feel like millstones around your neck. There’s also quite possibly inner work that needs to take place as well. Atomic Habits and Internal Family Systems therapy have been super helpful to me of late.
As an entp I have definitely struggled the most throughout my life with deadlines. I am 41 and I have only recently learned (in the last 3yrs)to be on time with my bills. I'm trying to go back to school and homework deadlines are awful being have so much other shit going on too. I've had to completely change things that have worked for me in the past.
What if you have Adhd? it makes it super confusing. I type as ENTJ and ENTP.. dont know which one I am cuz I test as both. What about that? I want organization bad but it's soo hard to stay that organized. It doesnt come naturally however i have an ENTJ dad so it's in my head somewhere
It’s weird cause ENTJ and ENTP are so different, especially if you have went around the cognitive functions. I’m an ENTP that has been typed as ENTJ times before, and I figured out a pattern whenever I’m lost in the work and the Si function is working I’ll be typed as an ENTJ. Mostly cause I have a habit of organizing or planning things when I feel like everything out of control and there’s no solution. And as you said you have a judging parent, it goes the same way for me both my parents and older brother are judging types they built most of my habits that make me look like a judging type. A big shout out to them, they’re the reason I’ve achieved most of things I wanted.
I’m a Entp I learn from being in a relationship with a judger use the 80/20 principal that make entp the best version of themselves it’s life changing for entp to use the 80/20 principal

Does anyone else rarely say goodbye at the end of a phone conversation?

Oh to be a Judger. All I want is to be organized, I have hired help but he is an INTP so I'm just up a creek ❤
