Makes my heart swell when Scott can’t decide whether to keep or sell an item. Love that hes not out there to flip only for cash, but instead because he loves it. Passion in his voice when talking about a piece is so great. ❤️
You are so lucky, Scott, your thrift stores have such good stuff. The ones here are filled with leftovers from bad garage sales at ridiculously high prices!
Same in my area. We used to have many wonderful junk shops 20-30 years ago that had a good mix of trash and treasure if you were willing to roll up your sleeves and dig around in dusty corners and look under things. Now, ugh looks like rejects from Marshall's and Hobby Lobby, nothing truly vintage or early 20th century.
My daughter has a set of “watermelon” glasses with flea bites that she is planning to have fixed. They are so beautiful and delicate that I can’t imagine using them.
You had some great finds out there in the wilds Scott. Excellent choices over all. I love looking at these beautiful pieces. That Cambridge blue is a stunner.🖤🇨🇦
When I watch you on TV and you are showing things on the dining table, my dog thinks you are in the next room and putting things on the table. She growls and barks and runs to attack the man in the dining room. 😂 your dining room looks a bit like mine.

I believe that you are absolutely correct. Having worked for Nieman-Markus in the Men's Furnishings department, I know a hat stand when I see one, even if it 120 to 140 years old or more. @@oldcuriosityshop265
I thought the old glass stand was very nice.l could just see one of my old victorian hats on it.Also liked the ironstone blue and white dishes.Everything was lovely!❤ Heather Florida PS l loved and laughed at the short where you were dancing with the pink plate.😅
Your luster ware is beautiful. My favorite item is the unopened radio game. The watermelon pieces are so pretty. I was in high school in 1961, majoring in home economics, sewing on Singer sewing machines. I would really enjoy browsing through the Singer decor' book. 😊😊😊
I thought the glass item was a hat stand when you began showing it. Neat piece. I think those painted tumblers are my favorite, they are gorgeous, lucky find. I would keep those for sure. You have a fantastic eye for beautiful items. Your interest and knowledge about old glass has inspired me to view to appreciate items I ignored before. You're a good teacher, you broaden our knowledge and your excitement is contagious. Thanks, Scott!
Loved the etched Pyrex, the Milliners (did I get that right?) hat rack was super fun cuz it had a learning lesson with it, but those antique cups were my fave. I’m so fascinated by beautiful, delicate things that have survived for so long.
My area goodwill stores do not have items that are valuable either vintage or antique they know what’s going on and they post those more expensive items on line at a upper level goodwill site
I was surprised you picked up milk glass. I have been collecting it for 30 years and find it everywhere thinking no one wants it. Guess I assumed incorrectly.
Well no I almost never buy common milk glass from the 1950’s onward. The milk glass in my video is antique and dates to circa 1900. I agree the milk glass from the 1950’s onward has little value.

Same thing here in Arkansas, and anything remotely collectable is priced like it came from King Tut's tomb!@@melaniew4354
Totally agree! East Tennessee does not have the treasure thrift stores Scott has.
“I think that has Uranium in it” is a thrifter pick-up line.
Uranium or mine?
Haha
“I’m glass, and I’ve got uranium on me.” It took me four hours to come up with that. 🤷♀️

Ironstone dishes very nice. Dinner for two🎉

I love it!
The 2 English stoneware place settings were my favorite. I don't know why exactly, but I couldn't take my eyes off them.
Lovely thing’s Scott. I hope nothing broke and you are ok from this morning’s earthquake. Please take care

That was my thought too! "How did Scott's 1920s bungalow do in the quake". 😃
Ah, I see that Anchor Hocking ruby red vase. I have four of those with the white enamel birds, branches, and flowers.
I hope to purchase those watermelon glasses. 🍉
The Singer book looks fun. ❤

Hi Scott, just checking that you're safe. Heard about the earthquake today and am praying for you and your family 🙏🏻
Yes, definitely, a glass hat stand, and a very old one too!
Oh, I was going to ask your opinion about that. I agree with you and definitely believe that it was possibly used in a millinery store.

That is amazing
An education
I like the England stoneware. So pretty. Thanks for sharing, Scott. You make learning about glass items so fun.

Amish Butterprint is my favorite Pyrex pattern too.
I love that 1961 Singer book……the photos remind me of grandma’s house.
Nice straw Fedora, I can see you rocking that! Love the 'watermelon glass' stems, perfect for summer!
Put one of your frogs in it with flowers!
You always find great items.
Aloha 🌺 My mom had the same white & teal country scene Pyrex! The old glasses are really beautiful! 🌺🥰

I want to know more about flower frogs…
Those plate sets are lovely!
I have a collection of watermelon glasses, some just like those on the table. Mine thankfully are perfect. Love them. I use them.
😊fifty one seconds in.😊😊😊
My favorites are the English place settings and the Radio game...😊
I’ve noticed Scott buying more damaged items he still sells 😮
I am very particular about the pieces that I buy and if they are a damaged, I always give my reasons for purchasing them.

Love it great finds
I picture salt water Taffy's in the handled etched Cambridge bowl.
Perfect!
I thought a hat stand. The shape of it.

Rare Hot Wheels cars can cost more than the real versions, with the Pink 1969 'Beach Bomb' valued at $175,000 due to its scarcity.
😂😂you make me laugh arguing with yourself
HI, SCOT, THAT GLASS HAT/WIG STAND LOOKS LIKE IT COULD BE A SOAP DISH???
Hi , does anyone know how Scott is doing? There was an earthquake in New Jersey yesterday. Praying Scott and his family are doing well 🙏 .
You didnt talk about the milk glass box
❤❤
Did you get your boarder up?
Not as yet.
Did I miss the Heisey candlesticks, or were they not for sale….??
You did not miss them. They are down in my basement. Haven’t decided when to sell them just yet.
Did you feel the quake ?
Could that glass shelf support be turned upside down and used as a base for a punch bowl?
No it’s too tall and skinny for that.
❤😊
Love the blue and white ironstone
What happened to the big apple on the cart?
Oh I forgot about that! I’m using it in my kitchen. 🙂
👋🙌👍
More frogs?
I thought you sold some of these things last night? Did they not pay?
I filmed this video the day before my live sale.
@@oldcuriosityshop265 oh okay cool.🥰
I'm confused, we saw these things already and you sold them Monday??
I Thrifted these items last week when I was out with my friend Jeffrey and I did sell some of them last night in my live sale.
