I’ve told you before how horrific the thrift stores are in the Philadelphia suburbs. We would probably be thrilled to see some iris and herringbone. Thanks for taking us along shopping it’s always fun😊
COmpletly agree. Here in Southeast Delco is a wasteland.
Love them sunflower plates n bowls
At first I thought that lady was your nemesis!
Oh my Scott, that desk, that desk!! I reside in the Capital District of New York (Albany) and our thrift stores are s. a. d, sad, full of junk! I lament every time I go out.
My friends and I play a game called Who's at your Thanksgiving table? We pick our favourite people. It's unanimous. You have a seat at our table! ❤
Sounds great! Thank you!
Love, love, love the pink 3 footed cake plate. And the Fenton purple/pink with hand painted flowers is gorgeous. Also that large EAPG 2 handled sugar bowl was so neat. Cool white wicker writing desk at $20.00 !!!!!
Thanks so much!!
I was watching the Today Show, and for this summer Amazon is putting out plastic 60s glass sets. How interesting, Mr. Glass, you are so popular. The glasses don't look like the old stuff, but the ideas are back. Maybe that Iris glassware is in the backroom ten feet high, stalked in a dusty corner. Let's get another cup of coffee and another piece of pie.🐝🐢🐰🐰💜💚💛🧡❤😻🐝🐢🐰💜💚💛🧡❤😻🐝🐢🐰💜💚💛🧡❤😻🐝🐢🐰💜💚💛🧡❤😻🐝🐢🐰💜💚💛🧡❤😻🐝🐢🐰💜💚💛🧡❤😻🐝🐢🐰💜💚💛🧡❤😻🐝🐢🐰💜💚💛🧡❤😻🐝🐢🐰💜💚💛🧡❤😻🐝🐢🐰💜💚💛🧡❤😻
Thank you for highlighting my humble comment. Mildred loves you to. 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆
WOW, that Wicker desk...what a find!! Love it!!
Nice wicker desk
I love that desk what a fine
i would love all the material and sewing stuff
OK I’m not gonna lie. I’m having a really bad day with my RA today but when you said “that lady wants my depression glass, did you hear that? I died laughing!! You made my day!🤣🤣🤣
The writing deskis a great addition for the front porch and the pink cake plate is gorgeous.
There is ALWAYS a Mrs. Kravitz lurking about! 😂
The music was fab 😎
Yes, I would definitely take the quilting material❤❤❤❤
Oh, you sure did save the best for last! The desk is perfect! Looking forward to your restoration ideas for the wicker furniture. As always, lots of fun while learning too…thanks 🙏.
Scott, we ❤hanging out with you🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩. GREAT VIDEO AND GREAT CONTENT. THUMBS-UP ALWAYS!!!!!!
Awesome! Thank you!
Once again Scott shows something I never knew I needed. Hawaiian Flowers by Vernon Kilns, swoon. It is lovely, and even comes in blue:)) (though not cheap). Thanks for taking us shopping.
Live that desk them double legs are everything !
I actually like the porch furniture. I know that one's you give it a new paint job it will be beautiful 😍
That Jeanette harp pattern (1954-57) tray reminded me of all the harp design cake stands that you would see a few years back. Like the harp coasters and bud vases, these were all boxed sets for gift giving. No one ever baked me a jam cake with caramel icing and presented it to me on a cake stand. I think that all of my birthday cakes were served on paper plates with plastic forks. LOL.
Get that cake plate!!!!! I would serve cookies on that....I love to do different tablescapes ❤
I collect bicentennial. I was married in 1976, my bridesmaids wore red, white and blue
I like the way you so carefully handle these items..with one hand,no less!😂The first Mrs. Kravitz! So funny.Joints go in that mini chest silly.😃
Your shopping videos are the best and my favorite! Thanks
I've never seen a yellow divided dish like that one in all my travels (out west!)---I would have paid $10 for that flashed glass pitcher if it had been engraved!
Scott, I collect bicentennial items. Have a very large beautiful collection that I am very proud of. Some carnival pieces but also Fenton, Fostoria, Wedgwood, Waterford, Lenox.
Thank you so much, Scott. Made my day.
Glad to hear it!
You know that cork lined carafe lid did not belong with that sugar bowl. The pink cake plate has a rare US Glass Co. monogram mark. The hand painted vase is Fenton's #192 5" vase in Peach Crest with Charleton decoration by Abels Wasserburg C0., about 1959 to about 1971, and a real score! That ruby stained King's Crown pitcher was well over 100 years old, I hope you got it. The wicker desk is perfect for your porch and a steal of a deal, congratulations. All in all a good shopping trip, thanks for taking us along.
The huge plate is for a matching punch bowl. I have the plate but the bowl got busted. 😂 Thought you might like to know.
Your wicker desk would make an AMAZING potting bench. The "pockets" could be used for gardening tools, or have little potted plants tucked into them.
OMG that desk on porch is gorgeous 🥰
The desk is incredible! It was meant to be Scott!
Hi, Scott .... Love that long Hazel Atlas Glass Jar you got. What an item. Ideal for your long Spaghetti with a lid on. That's a really lovely Wicker writing desk. Continues so well with your theme. Great viewing as always, thank you 👏👍😉
They set on the porch in a place of honor.
You always find the best stuff and stores
Love the wicker desk! Score!
I’m sooo jealous of the table you have 😍😍❤️🇬🇧
I love to decorate with the white Fenton
I so agree with you! I love clear pressed and cut glass. It’s so classy and elegant, goes with everything and the different patterned pieces blend so easily and beautifully on the table. I have so many books and researching to find the pattern is so fun. Now, I’m the weirdo who has to have it in pristine condition but so rewarding to find the pattern and date, then use it wondering what the original owner was like. Where did they live? Do? Look like? I love the history and the story behind things fascinates me. To use something and appreciate it for that history and age. Absolutely loved this video today. I cannot wait to see your porch all set up this summer. I’m always amazed at the things you find in your neck of the woods.
Love the writing table
Finally had a chance to watch your shopping trip. You always make me smile, thanks Scott😊
So glad!
Scott, I loved the red color on white of the cups, saucers and dishes in the Hawaiian Flowers patterns by Vernon Kilns at 15:02-15:20.
That desk is fantastic,I love wicker!
Loved to have had the red, clear glass pitcher.
It was nice. The store wanted $10 so I would have had to charge at least $25 plus shipping to make it worth the time and effort. Wasn’t sure anybody would have paid that price. 🙂
Loved the wicker desk when I first saw it, thought you called it a vanity in that video. Great piece and price. That porch is going to make you very happy 😊
Love your porch desk❤😍
I wish they still made furniture like they used to. I really don't like modern furniture at all unless it's Amish made. I found the best furniture at a local antique store. A few years ago, I bought a beautiful 1920s full size bed. It's really gorgeous with a carved design and hand painted flower sprays. I don't remember exactly what I paid for it, but it was under $200. You can't even touch a modern bed for that. I bought a lot of my furniture at that store. I wish you could see the little side table and coffee table set I bought. They have beautiful carvings on the legs and sides and lovely inlaid wood. Would you believe that someone had painted them all white? What a travesty! The antique store owner restores old furniture and he brought these lovely pieces back to their original glory and I snapped them up as soon as he put them on the floor. I love seeing the pieces you buy. Top quality. They remind me so much of my grandmother's comfy, cozy home.
Another great shopping venture. Thank you for bringing us along
Glad you enjoyed
Love the added music!
Everytime you put down the pairs....my Cafe style kitchen table set ...yesss sits 2. My 4 table dining table...yess...I removed 2 of the chairs...and it is set for...yesss...2....I no longer own couches...chairs...yesss...2...lol lol lol lol
I LOVE the wicker! And price you paid!
Loved the shop along as always you found awesome things. The desk will go nice on the porch.
I keep my Hazel atlas canning jars on a shelf in my kitchen they are great for storing dry goods.
Every time I see a that carnival glass bowl I say Scott must have been here 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love that desk ♥♥♥!!!
That mini trunk at 7:45 was nice. Probably would look good on an office desk containing paper clips, push pins or something like that. That Hazel Atlas jar at 10:00 would look great with a floral arrangement in it. The standout of this thrift haul was definitely the Fenton milk glass pieces -- just beautiful works of art! As for those tea cups at 21:25, were they Royal Daulton? Lastly, I couldn't let this post go by without mentioning that awesome writing desk at the end of the video. My sister had one similar to that style in her room when we were kids.
Your porch desk is fabulous. It will look nice when you refresh it.
You're right Scott every thrift store has that carnival bowl and that large EAPG Goes with a huge punch bowl too bad you couldn't find the punch bowl to go with it but would be hard to ship the under plate Great video Thanks
Definitely in your part of the country. I have never seen one of those Iris bowls in my life and I have lived in 12 states. Thanks for taking us along
Congratulations! The charming wicker desk is a wonderful find.
I love the new desk!!❤❤
Love the HA jar.
Love that porch desk!!!❤️🇨🇦
Wow! Those Hawaiian Flowers by Don Blanding for Vernon Kilns fetches some very high prices. Just gorgeous 😊
Love silver crest🎉
TFS! Beautiful stuff from days gone by!!😊
I've found some beautiful artwork at thrift stores...just takes a while to find them.
Love your new porch desk
I would love to find a glass tray like that one.!!!!!!
Wonderful buy on that wicker desk!
I think so too!
Love the wicker on the front porch. I grew up sitting in old wicker furniture from the early 1900's on my great grandparents porch in Norwood, PA> Love the stuff.
Another great video, Scott! I swoon for that wicker desk on your porch! My husband found a wicker base/glass top table with dry, peeling paint. He pressure washed it [at a car wash!], let it dry and repainted it. It looks new! Can't wait to see your porch all fitted out with your lovely finds.
Love the cat!!!
Love the porch desk!!!!!
Love the music!! Love Vernon kiln items
One of my favorite shopping trip episodes. I especially liked the handpainted cranberry Fenton glass.
Great video Scotty! Thanks for sharing!
Hey Scott 🖖🖖🖖
Hey Will
Hello 👋 from Tennessee, thank you for sharing this today. The desk you found is the bomb 💣 and in such good condition, that is the perfect size for your porch too. I think you snapped up some goodies in this haul! 😊
Hi from Clarksville Tn.
@@ameliahouchins1602
Hi Amelia, I’m just down the road from you in Coopertown. That’s so funny 😆
Doye
That's pretty cool neighbor!
Nice find it was nice shop along trip
That EAPG platter is beautiful! I believe that belongs to punch bowl set.😅
Those bowls you find at every thrift store - we do not have them all over Tennessee. I don’t come across them in my hunts.
Enjoyed your video very much
Glad you enjoyed it!
You know you are gonna catch heat for passing up the quilt fabric….
Oh well, they are simply was not enough profit in it for me to invest the time and effort.
@@oldcuriosityshop265 dude…it’s all good! No worries. No frets! Only shooting positive vibes. Just ribbing ya.
I am so glad you are showing the EAPG. I have been thinking that a lot of it may end up in the land fill because people don’t know what it is.
Love the tag along ty for taking us i never see anything in our goodwill worth getting love your items
My great aunt had that wicker desk, so amazing !
I don't think the two handle pot with the cork lid insert is a set.
I don’t think so either.
Definitely a marriage, and not a very good one.
Yes jungle lights for my outside area,
Hope I'm not driving u crazy yet. Would love to shop with u😊😅
Have never seen that glass in Indiana!
Ok I have the yellow depression glass, and also some pink and green. 😅
Love your porch desk and letting us tag along with your shopping trip.
that tall Hazel Atlas bottle if you can find a top for it could also hold the long spaghetti or capellini pasta!
Scott I loved that 1940’s floral print painting in the original frame. I collect 1930’s floral watercolors by Kuper! Great shop along video! 👍🏻👍🏻
Your porch will be wonderful when finished. I love wicker furniture. I have 2 really old pieces. An easy chair and an oblong end table. 😂
Laura Caldwell from Left Voast Revivsls ALWAYS finds those Igloo chrome ice buckets. I have never seen that glass plate that drives you bugs in all the stores...but then, you are east coast and we are west coast... out of Portland Oregon..
I walked by an unusual chalkware? anatomically correct standing boy figurine with a metal pole coming from it's foot into a chalkware? elegant stand base yesterday. Walked back the same aisle and saw it, wha?! I still don't have a real clue as to what it specifically is, but for $2.99, down the rabbit hole I go 😊
I enjoy all your videos and ❤️ the restoration videos of your 1925 bungalow the most,! You’re living room curtains are gorgeous.
I would have bought the 5. wooden box...I love boxes
I always get nervous whenever you hold up two pieces of glassware side by side... and then flip them over back and forth to give us a better look.😮 I'm waiting for you to chip or crack one of your treasures!! 😮😮😮😮😮
Gives me the heebie jeebies too! LOL.
