Nurse will always be the best Killer because she quite *literally* breaks the rules of the Trials. She excels in anti-loop but also has plenty of utility within her kit. Killers like Blight, Mastermind, and Spirit are very powerful, and in a lot of cases, too strong but they still follow the rules of the Trials. Pallets, Tiles, etc, are all still "weaknesses" with their playstyles. Nurse, though? She can just phase through all of it with no problem. Pallets realistically don't even do anything against her. One small idea I've been brainstorming since I could grasp the balance of the game, was only allowing Nurse to blink over "low tiles" or "small objects" that look as if you could vault over them. For example, she could blink through a Window or Dropped Pallet (similar to how some Killers can throw or shoot things over), or even over some loops, but tall walls would prevent her blink from phasing through. I feel as if this completely changes her playstyle and would obviously need more thinking involved because if we were to just change it on a PTB, it would go very poorly for her. She would be too slow, maybe too clunky. It would need tinkering, but I believe the idea has potential. But who knows, there could be something better out there.
Hi first off I do not claim to be a good killer But I say I used to be decent I fully agree with you when you say nurse is the strongest, I did a no perk run for killer and nurse carried me for most of it i managed to reach gold 3, Keep in mind this was during the time before they nerfed dead hard the first time and all the other perks so survivors were stronger at that time Only reason why I couldn't complete it was because I had 2 jobs at the time but if I didn't I probably would have made it to red rank just from nurse having no perks This is NOT a promotion I swear if you need proof go to my twitch go to highlights on twitch , I recorded the whole duration of my streams and put it into the highlights So there is no Trimming Once again I am not promoting I just don't want anyone to think I'm lying When I say nurses that ridiculous to this day it's been 7 years and some how she remains the best I'm also on console so theoretically it should be harder
You said there were no restrictions/rules for either side in the unrestricted games (e.g. 38:26), but it looked like the survivors were still using no repeating perks/yellow items? Were there still rules for their builds?
@@haiz768 That’s quite literally the definition of “skill issue”. The game is massively survivor-sided, even more so in SWF situations. If you cannot win even in a SWF, you’re literally just bad. Just get better. If you can’t, go back to Roblox.
@@TheSorcerer1 Yeah rigt, the game is so overwelmingly survivor sided that onne of the best team in the world just lost all of their games in the video you just watched. Stay blindfolded forever dbd community.
yeah instead of having to randomly guess where the nurse is gonna blink i'l just have to randomly guess whether the blight will collide with the obstacle or not or whether he's gonna pull some wierd janky tech or not
Even though most comp games are boring in terms of how the killer wins (hardcore tunneling) it’s still such a pleasure to see the best killers play at such a high level of skill. Ggs!
In terms of mechanical interest and fun, blight is def better to play as, but because nurse just ignores chase mechanics beyond holding W I believe nurse wins in terms of pure strength. If we take a no-mistake run for both killers, I believe nurse would always win 100% purely because even with no mistakes Blight can still be delayed with pallets, walls, exhaustion perks, etc. Nurse won't.
From what i can gather, Blight is better in general until u get to the very high levels, where he gets hurt by survivors body blocking his power effectively (something not often seen at "lower" higher levels). But at the tippity top, nurse is nurse, and she comes out #1.
Also, can anyone explain why the nurse was running agitation with the rest of the build? To get carry survivors closer to gens and waste less time with hooking?
I feel like one more game would decide exactly who is better simply by letting the survivors use any perk, and item etc and letting the killer use whatever they want also, this way we could actually determine strength where in an actual game how strong are they when there’s no setbacks, like here the survivors had to use specific perks but how well do the killers perform when the survivor has anything at their disposal
Nurse. I don't even know why there is a debate, Blight can't ignore pallets or windows and has an actual cooldown and counterplay, plus Nurse has a much, much lower skill ceiling and a higher skill floor.
Nurse is better in chase, but Blight just has zero weaknesses. If Nurse gets a bad map with a lot of LoS blocking, she's just not that good. Plus most Nurse rely a lot on aura reading, so if you take away her aura reading with a perk like Distortion, she'll have a lot harder of a time dealing with you, since Nurse is terrible if she has to go looking around for people. Big maps also make things harder for her since she's really slow by default and if she wants to use teleports just to move around the map, she has nothing left to hunt survivors. Thing with Blight is that he has amazing map presence, and beyond that he's a fast basic killer. Even if you use his blight rush for nothing more than whipping from gen to gen, he's really good. After the nurse add-on nerfs I think Blight is the better killer. Nurse is still top tier, but Blight is king, because he has no weaknesses.
@@taragnor No weakness? Try pallets and walls... I 100% agree that blight can be more versatile with his mobility and his busted set of addons but in chase there IS counter play. You see pro players do it all the time. Things such as blocking the shack doorway to prevent a bounce or playing around small tight loops. They're niche, for sure, but there is a lot less you can do against a nurse in chase than a blight...
@@citronvi0let847 Walls and pallets aren't a weakness to Blight, it's just a common killer mechanic. Basic M1 killers like Sadako and Myers are weak to pallets and walls, blight... not so much. And with compound 33 Blight tears apart pallets real fast. When I say no weaknesses, I mean Blight is a killer that is good in chase, has good information, and has good map pressure. Yes, Nurse is better in chase, but she's weaker in the other categories. Nurse has one gimmick, teleport, and that's it. If you're able to block LoS and trick her with the teleport, you can beat her. Without teleport she's not even a basic killer, she's slower than a survivor. Furthermore, Nurse is pretty weak to stealth. If she doesn't know where you are, it's tough for her to go searching. Blight really has no such problems. Even if you can dodge his Blighted rush, he's still a fast basic killer. Even if the guy sucks with Blighted rush and uses it just for map traversal and getting relatively close to survivors, he still gets an insane amount of map presence and he's still about as good in chase as a killer like Wraith. Because at any time you can bounce around the map with a rocket engine with barely any start-up time, unlike a character like Billy who has to fully rev his chainsaw to get the speed, or Wraith who has to spend time cloaking.
@@taragnor Ahhh I get what you're saying now, I agree, Mb... I was thrown off by "Blight has no weaknesses" I thought you were talking about him having absolutely 0 counterplay rather than him just being strong in every situation. You are very correct in this regard.
@@JondarKorric Actually that's not true. If a blight is in a rush, he can look up/down but as soon as you attack, the game automatically directs the attack back to the centre. Only if the blight is not using his power can you direct the attacks downwards.
Hey bro, I'm not Hens but Dead by Daylight League (DBDLeague on Twitch and UA-cam) is the biggest tournament there is. From there I think you could find a lot more like ChampionsOfTheFog
I think overall in public games nurse is stronger, because people dont understand how to play against the nurse, but, however, in comp scene blight is much stronger because nurse doesnt have "deadzones" like blight, so imo blight is stronger (definetily not because im p100 blight) :) good video overall, watched that live and liked the commentary in the video here, big respects!
As a blight main i didnt know you could kick gens while in fatigue, mostly because I've never kicked a gen as blight except when i was still learning him
Damn though, your commentary made it even more exciting. Is there a video you can recommend that can explain that crouch tech against Blight? I have seen people do it but never saw a clear explanation of how it works. I’m just trying to learn from Professor Hens lol.
Virtual using compound instead of double speed is insane. Remember up to green does not apply to adrenaline vial which is always bannaed in comp, it would be a very different match if that wasn't the case.
i think overall nurse is strong in just regular power, blights add one are what make him so great, as a survivor i’d rather go against a blight than a nurse any day, more fun for both sides imo
I've always enjoyed Blight (minus alch ring) as a survivor but it's getting to the point where I'm starting to hate Spirit more than Nurse, it's just not fun going against a strong spirit
since I've come back to dbd I've noticed the very good comp players for whatever reason always use ace just like hens I'm not sure why that's is, is there a reason?
Obviously, in a game with this many variables, we’re gonna need a bigger sample size to determine a clear winner, but cool to see the king and queen of dbd face of like this anyway
The nature of Nurse her power is just stronger in every instance of chase basically, but Blight is cooler, easier to traverse the map with and also faster, better addons, better cosmetics, more fun, cooler backstory and a ton of techs that you can learn and master, Blight imo has the highest skill ceiling in the game which alone is just reason enough to get to the challenge and learn to play him
The real question is: Why is blight 115%? He should be 110% for the same reason, Spirit and Hag are. He's power is not just some helpful anti-loop tool (like Doctor's shock or Demo's shred), which makes chasing easier. It is his primary (and only) power and is mobility inside (and outside) the chase. With the 115% pallets (or objects) where getting a hit with his rushes is difficult become counterplay. Right now, Blight van just get the normal hit easily and then doesn't lose any distance whatsoever. On top, his animations work differently, giving him another unnecessary edge over the original killers, regarding flashlight blinds (at window vault, pallet breaking, pickup).
I wonder the same Regardless of the insane combination of add ons there are some scenarios where it’s a lose - lose for the survivor, even pre dropping a pallet won’t stop a blight to confirm the hit / down
Hot take: I think Bhvr should just bring all 110% killers to 115%. Because all maps and tiles are based around 115% movement speed. And along with that change strong killers like spirit basically should get a speed reduction to 110% on their strong addons. This way I would buff basekit for certain killers and encourage to use other addons or take the disadvantage. It would be a huge benefit for basekit huntress, spirit, trickster and slinger but not make them broken
@Xeno Yeah Blight is just ridiculous because he has no weaknesses. If you screw up your blight rush, there should be a cost to that. Maybe if they put him at 100% speed while his vials were recharging or something, so there's a penalty for missing. At least with Nurse her regular movement is slow.
@Xeno I fully agree. Winning against blight in his rush is always fun and exciting. Although I relax hate it, when you then try to benefit and move to the next tile. But then get hit due to adrenaline vile.
@@oliverhardy9464 Theoretically that could work out. But I think messing around with killers movement speeds is making the shame even more complicated than it is already. I mean, compare old-school DBD with today's: base-kit BT, Boons and Scourge Hooks, killer powers who take pages to explain, perks which are bound to several condition, etc.
They could have used 5 blink nurse or campbells for 40 meter blinks. Idk if this was before those changes, if so then idk what was good then. Im not to used to the comp side of dbd, but is ultra slugging out of the game? Wouodnt it be more viable in this sutation?
I'm very new to DBD, only started playing a couple of weeks ago. Are these high level survivor teams coordinating through a 3rd party chat program? If so, that seems kinda off. Like again, I'm new, but it seems like for DBD games using chat should be frowned apon right? And I'm confused why it doesn't have proximity chat, that the killer can hear, but not be able to talk in. The louder yhe survivor talks the bigger radius their voice can be heard in.
Proximity chat has been asked for and discussed in the community but the developers have just not added it for whatever reason. And the 3rd party chat is kinda just the way things is, like how there is comms in pro events and when you play with friends. You can debate if it’s off but the alternative of no communication at all for a team isn’t preferred
I always use discord when I play to make it more fun, it is quite the advantage but most people just find it more fun to play that way and there's no way to remove it
Yeah, that just doesn't seem cool at all. Completely negates the need of perks that show auras of where your fellow survivors are. The game is already heavily skewed in favor of the survivors, I would definitely count using a 3rd party application to communicate with your team as deliberately cheating. Idk, I'm very surprised that this isn't an issue that the community isn't very vocal about. Again, I'm very new, so maybe like Haydend said that it's been discussed, but I would've thought it would be a #1 issue and priority players would keep bother Behavior about. What was shown in this video with the two S teir killers, the game's would've gone very differently if there was no constant communication, the survivors would have to be a lot smarter, I just don't find using a 3rd party program to stay in constant communication impressive at all. I'm very surprised it's allowed in tournaments, I'd just be rooting for the killer every time because their the ones with the real challenge.
3rd game by the Nurse was definitely their worst, mistakes were made and they didn’t even use bookmark. Probably felt cocky after the first 2 games and decided to meme with return blink
Tbh the compound 33 is from the setting not bad. I mean they actually could remove the slow down and add a more longer stun duration. For the ring, eeeeh they should make it iri tbh
Slugging can definitely be included in a good snowball, but it can also mean having multiple hooks, or just generally causing enough havok in the match that the survivors cant get any gen progress for need of resetting and saving teammates
Think of a scenario where the killer is getting hooks very quickly and the survivors keep having to reset, so the killer is getting major progress and the survivors aren’t.
snowballing in dbd means that survivor team is a perpetual cycle of healing and unhooking thus unable to progress generators. Its very uncommon because most killer are terrible at applying injure pressure to do that.
we all know trapper is the only killer that has no weakness and uncounterable whatsoever

Perfect video to watch while I wait for the update. Thanks hens.
You said there were no restrictions/rules for either side in the unrestricted games (e.g. 38:26), but it looked like the survivors were still using no repeating perks/yellow items?

@@patrick-tj4bj does that mean he’s “better” tho. The blight fanboys keep dodging this simple concept 😏
Even though most comp games are boring in terms of how the killer wins (hardcore tunneling) it’s still such a pleasure to see the best killers play at such a high level of skill. Ggs!
Hens bro I fucking love when u do these kinda videos they so good to watch keep them coming ❤
That first Blight match was so sad. He was so close to the 4k! :(
From what i can gather, Blight is better in general until u get to the very high levels, where he gets hurt by survivors body blocking his power effectively (something not often seen at "lower" higher levels). But at the tippity top, nurse is nurse, and she comes out #1.
No. Blight has better mobility, map pressure and versatility, Nurse is the best for chases, each one has its advantages.
And those kinds of tests are inconsistent, since the winner killer main can just be exponentially better, and have better tactics.
Also it's quite map dependent whether blight is that strong. Also in a normal match survivors will use perks multiple times.
@@haiz768 Let's please not start this ''blah blah blah sided'' discussion again, with respects, Hex: Mommy milkers
Also, can anyone explain why the nurse was running agitation with the rest of the build? To get carry survivors closer to gens and waste less time with hooking?
Yes, most survivors run to the edge of the map against nurse to attempt to waste as much time as possible, agitation somewhat negates it
I'll say it again: TOP TIER video here.
I think you should do this again after the blight addon changes are live and virtual has had time to practice with them :)
Sadly virtual cannot play killer anymore for awhile, he has a nerve injury which takes hella long to get better from
we love a hens video to start the day
I feel like one more game would decide exactly who is better simply by letting the survivors use any perk, and item etc and letting the killer use whatever they want also, this way we could actually determine strength where in an actual game how strong are they when there’s no setbacks, like here the survivors had to use specific perks but how well do the killers perform when the survivor has anything at their disposal
They did that...
Tierlist placement discussion aside, 40:10 That down was hilariously timed xD
@@taragnor
No weakness?
@@taragnor
Ahhh I get what you're saying now, I agree, Mb... I was thrown off by "Blight has no weaknesses" I thought you were talking about him having absolutely 0 counterplay rather than him just being strong in every situation. You are very correct in this regard.
Amazing content thx Hens

Bro that blight actually had that 4k. Hitbox literally screwed him
Bro has a tech named after him
so the 1st set was a tie, both got 4k, except blight experienced a bug with hitboxes and for some reason that bug is being counted against him?
The best way to put it is that nurse is amazing in early game but falls of late game, Blight is bad early game but amazing end game
I've always enjoyed Blight (minus alch ring) as a survivor but it's getting to the point where I'm starting to hate Spirit more than Nurse, it's just not fun going against a strong spirit

Obviously, in a game with this many variables, we’re gonna need a bigger sample size to determine a clear winner, but cool to see the king and queen of dbd face of like this anyway
The nature of Nurse her power is just stronger in every instance of chase basically, but Blight is cooler, easier to traverse the map with and also faster, better addons, better cosmetics, more fun, cooler backstory and a ton of techs that you can learn and master, Blight imo has the highest skill ceiling in the game which alone is just reason enough to get to the challenge and learn to play him
i agree, to counter nurse youve gotta be lucky but to counter blight you must have a really good understanding of game and good looping skills
Did I just lived behind the moon? How can she blink twice while only having one blink ready? So often thats happening in the games i dont understand
I know pig is bad do you have a recommendation for a build in today games
Corrupt, deadlock, brutal, call of brine
The real question is:
Why is blight 115%?
I wonder the same
Regardless of the insane combination of add ons there are some scenarios where it’s a lose - lose for the survivor, even pre dropping a pallet won’t stop a blight to confirm the hit / down
Hot take: I think Bhvr should just bring all 110% killers to 115%.
@Xeno
I fully agree.
Winning against blight in his rush is always fun and exciting. Although I relax hate it, when you then try to benefit and move to the next tile. But then get hit due to adrenaline vile.
@@oliverhardy9464
Theoretically that could work out. But I think messing around with killers movement speeds is making the shame even more complicated than it is already. I mean, compare old-school DBD with today's: base-kit BT, Boons and Scourge Hooks, killer powers who take pages to explain, perks which are bound to several condition, etc.
I thought exize plays for sequence though - did you sub him on for someone who couldnt make it from eternal

I’m pretty sure both killers would’ve gotten 4ks if they ran Deadlock

My personal favorite is wesker but the blight is a close 2nd blight is just so fun
Those hitboxes on the first game fucked him so hard like wtf
No fire up?
what does snowballing mean? slugging?
Slugging can definitely be included in a good snowball, but it can also mean having multiple hooks, or just generally causing enough havok in the match that the survivors cant get any gen progress for need of resetting and saving teammates
Snowballing is how one mistake can cause a chain reaction that either wins or loses you the game.
Think of a scenario where the killer is getting hooks very quickly and the survivors keep having to reset, so the killer is getting major progress and the survivors aren’t.
thx guys!
snowballing in dbd means that survivor team is a perpetual cycle of healing and unhooking thus unable to progress generators. Its very uncommon because most killer are terrible at applying injure pressure to do that.
