@@EdwinCristobal because that is impossible to balance, you can’t make solo q to be as swf, imagine league of legends bronze solo q crying how game is unbalanced in comparison to premade challenger team xD this is literally what you’re asking for. A solo quee is a quee where you are put with random people, it will never be as powerful or similar to SWF, it is not possible, no amount of buffs will provide you that experience
@@markosusa5823Difference in this game is you can’t really play solo queue vs the same kind of solo queue, so one side is always gonna have some kind of an advantage in all levels of play
i really love when you show the positioning on the callout map. i know it is a lot of work to put all the characters on it and move them around to explain the plan. thanks for that effort. quality editing
this proves 3 things that need to be addressed in DbD. 1) Nurse is OP when given the strongest things as she currently is. 2) SWF teams are OP in the same way 3) Neither are fun to come up against when you are not planning on playing comp DbD
Nurse is just a shitshow of any semblance of balance as a killer

When the game first released and infinites were everywhere and bloodlust and entity blocks were not game mechanics yet.
Killers could be looped for ages and they had little to no way to counter it.
As a preemptively solution, Nurse was born! ... And she had three blinks basekit, before the known two she has had for a long time.
However, what Behaviour hadn't expected was how crucial the nurse became for the game. She is the strongest killer in the game, and also the one with the least kills because of the difficulty curve.
Game designers don't change her because the data they have from the game tells them she's pretty balanced.
And the community is still divided on how to change the nurse, so that's also discarded

Some maps can provide counter play to nurse for a really well coordinated SWF. Some maps like Midwitch are so in favor of nurse as you cannot get away from starstruck and she can teleport to almost any part of the map in an instant. Not only is nurse an insanely broken killer, not only are swfs extremely strong, but some maps change the game entirely one way or the other. This means nurse is not balanced well, SWFs are not balanced well, and maps are not balanced well.

@@jellyii8886they removed it because they decided to remove flashlight interactions with all spirit-esque characters (wraith, spirit, also hag for her traps) because it felt like those characters were randomely punished for using their power when other killers werent

@@Tobichiii i do personally not enjoy going against nurse because she really limits the amount of skill i can use to counter her. Best way to counter her is to either hide or run into corner of the map and hope she blinks to far.

I didn't know about the flashlight and blink thing, and now that I think about it, lockers are very good against nurse, when they blink just hop in one then during fatigue hop out

That wasn't alf build it was a restricted build thats why he lost I think, no one kicks gens as nurse.

Dead Dog Saloon is a very killer sided map in general, but it is actually not that great for Nurse. Because the periphery of the entire map is nothing but a huge no man's land. Running the Nurse there is a big time waster. Also, the map is very densly littered with structures in the middle, providing frequent opportunities to break line of sight.
Saying that survivors in general need to be nerfed, just because competitive SWFs exist, is every bit as contrived as saying that killers in general need to be nerfed, because Nurse exists. It's cherry-picking.

to stop Nurse from charging a blink, should as Surv aim at her head as for a blind or anywhere as with Wraith burn mechanics? 🤔
Same as Wraith. It's actually possible to lightburn a Nurse the same way as a Wraith, if she's charging her blink, but they'll generally just let the blink go before that happens.

One question about DS on Wrecker’s Yard, it’s mentioned that it’s a strong build against Nurse and anti-tunnel, but since she can just immediately down you again after the strike, wouldn’t Off the Record be better? Unless it was still a five second stun here
No since hes using dead hard. With OTR he only gets one extra hit off hook when with DS, he gets a hit, nurse picks up, gets stunned, and then he can hit a dead hard after

Year after it was posted but this vid mostly just seems to confirm what the forums say about nurse needing to be nerfed for real :/ and if they can't do that they could atleast move the nurse mains to a seperate server/que to protect the rest of the player base from them. The point of the game is sacrifices have to be made, losing a few nurses is worth it to keep most of the player base and save the game.

In all honesty, Nurse is hard enough to learn that I think whoever actually plays this well deserves to stomp everyone. He must've went through a headache to get THIS good.

I would usually say "killer two man gen, question mark question mark, killer goes main." Fewer words lets you get more information out in a shorter amount of time 😅

If you're playing competitively, then tunneling is the best tactic. That's why you almost always see it in tournaments or Otzdarva's killer showcases. A 4 man swf on comms (who knows how to play) will always be as efficient as possible, so making it a 3 man as soon as possible is the best option.
This was really well planned surv team they dindt joke on killer they make him go for someone do killer gets distraction and the other 3 or 2 rotate and repair gens.
Instead of the actual "pro survis" who only try to annoy killlerand even fail about it xD

I rarely run into nurse and regardless of what they do swf will always be strong, locker saves are getting removed but flashlight blinding is also going to be made easier, it's not something thay can be changed easily if it was it would have changed ages ago , it is what it is basically so I'd get used to it

SWF is not strong because of locker blinds but because of the communication advantage they have over SoloQ. And yes SWF will always be strong but if they buff soloq they can close the gap between soloq and swf to a point where they can buff/adjust killers so they are better balanced around all players.
Can someone explain to me why they were consistently trying to force the nurse to grab them? Even when at full HP?
Was it to force the starstruck proc or is there some other reason behind it?
Make them Carry to hook instead of pressuring a gen
@@VictorKaneLifts What is the point of doing that if they are already in chase with the killer though? The first two times they could have locker dodged and bought a few extra seconds but instead forced the grab. And I find it hard to believe that going from full health to down by your own hands is worth it.
The reason why forcing a grab is useful is because it wastes a lot of time slug.
If you give me time stamps I can go in-depth on it.

4:31 - This one I really don't understand. If the goal is to waste time isn't it better to force the nurse to go through the entire exhaustion animation and then grab you manually out of the locker?
9:50 - Same as the first.
14:56 - This one I can kind of understand given the situation, it seems the goal was to attempt to make the nurse pick up/drop and finish the generator while all of that was happening. But even still doing this while healthy seems like a waste. Wouldn't it have been better to stand infront of the locker, take the hit, and THEN go into the locker?
4:31 the whole purpose is to try to make her whiff and extend the chase further, this was not to waste time.
9:50 he has deliverance and deli, whatever the nurse does after grabbing him its a waste of time since he can free himself
15:03 the very same thing, if Alf wants to touch the ada he has to waste a lot of time, he has deli and unbreakable. Whatever he does its a waste of time for him.
Its very smart in this case because it can hardly be ignored. The highly progressed gen is very close. This forces the nurse into a lose lose scenario. This is how you win in dbd, you make every option from the opposing side a losing play.
He is exposed from starstruck he can't take a hit first and then go into a locker.

Things like this make me horrified to play pubs. I could run into something like Hens as killer or something like this nurse as survivor. The game feels equally impossible for both sides because I'm just bad... And yet SBMM is somehow worse

Hens is amazing player both at playing Killer and Survivor. It’s sad that DBD doesn’t call these guys for opinions and testing to balance the game and rather listening to Forum noobs who complain just about everything.
The Forum noobs are the ones who are playing the game though and they drive the steam player numbers. And in my experience, they listen to youtubers. Now, you might sit there and say that the noobs should just enjoy playing against, for example, nurse, but you can't force them to.
