- Join me as I go metal detecting in the fields of Suffolk & Norfolk which are bursting with history and artefacts just waiting to be discovered! I've got my usual kit with me, the Minelab Manticore metal detector using the All Terrain Fast program with slightly modified settings to give me good depth, Minelab Pro-find 40 pinpointer and Minelab spade.

Wow what amazing finds!! The extra bit on the musket ball is where it was made in the mold and they didn't cut the excess off - it's called a sprue or something - maybe they made and sold them at the market! Could the 'door knocker' be a keyhole cover? Maybe it went with that cute little key 🙂
Mate what a field! Full of treasures!
There's hidden hammies galore in the suffolk soil, fair play to you . Monster hammy collection
General Service button. I found a mint one at Bawdsey last week. Nice hammered!
Another amazing session in your dream field mate, massive thanks for sharing some beautiful finds ! I think that not a buckle is a small Jews harp, maybe a kids one. nd wow to that groat buddy well worth going out just to find that. Thanks as always and all the best from Somerset 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💯✨
Really appreciated you showing us the ‘rubbish’ to put it all into perspective - otherwise it looks like you only have good finds and makes us feel that we’re bad at detecting 😂
@@BeanieStudios 😆 I wish it was all just good finds but most of the time it’s sifting through the rubbish first, then there’s all the clips recorded for a tiny piece of lead or a button, but the good finds make it all worth it in the end doesn’t it 😄
The “buckle” looks like a jaw harp but it’s very small for one.
It does mate doesn’t it, I can’t think what else it could be
The loveheart cufflink Is a treasure item! Dates from 1662 to celebrate the marriage of Catherine of broganza and Charles 2nd great find
@@bertallsort694 it certainly does! I’ve had three from this permission, it’ll be off to the FLO for recording shortly 👍🏻 Thanks for watching!
Beautiful groat I would take a guess at Henry the Vi or Vii
I think HENRI will be at 11 o’clock on bust side.
Around the 1 mate I believe, I couldn’t see it on the day 😅
Think you need to rename the field as the eclectic silver field. Such a range of ages too. Think the musket ball has still got it's molding sprue attached so dropped whilst making. The little hollow draw pull would have had a loop or hinge at the top. Really interesting video. Is the Henry groat minted in Calais, France mint?
That is a awesome field I can see why it’s called the hammy field and love that Jews harp that was I’d as a buckle 👍gl&hh catch you on the next one 👍
Saludos cordiales desde chile hasta el Reino Unido 🙋♂️🇨🇱⛏️💍🤜👍👏😊⚔️🛡️🇬🇧🗝️
WOW! Amazing finds! That must be a Childs 'Jews harp'! Well done M8, cheers, John.
Looks like a small Jews harp not a buckle
