Tobi!!! Ich bin so froh, dass du wieder in der band bist!! Been listening since Das Monster. ❤️ you actually helped me learn German while I was taking classes in high school! Can’t wait for Das Album!
Ooooooh, I'm so here for this. Hahahaha. Cannot wait! Video definitely did not disappoint. I loved Mark's breakdown of Tobi's vocals, and this was so fun.
@Dr S4T4N Hate to break it to you, but most probably a lot of the bands you like are using, drumsamples, digital instruments and more "not-real-music"-stuff. Using drumsamples instead of newly recorded drums is kinda industry standard. Autotune is not something magical, that makes any vocal sound good. It is a tool to automatically correct the pitch of note. And here is some special wiki for you: No one ever uses the actual autotune effect to correct flat or sharp singing. It is basically used to actively achieve this wobbly, synthetic vocalsound most trap artists want. Ready for some more, so you can show off with your friends? Okay, here we go: 95% of music released since 2005 or so uses pitch correction. Meaning the engineer corrects every sung note by hand/mouseclick. And that is done with everything - the very good singers and the bad - the popsingers and the metalsingers - in order to have perfectly in-tune vocals, since we all have gotten used to this. So there you have it. Read this carefully so you can look back on it to be like: "Oh this was actually pretty disrespectful towards hard working artists and not very smart." Ohhh and the most important thing: Since WBTBWB is 90% screaming - what would they use pitch correction for? Screaming has usually no pitch in that sense. And if it does, it doesn't actually matter.
"I'm just coming off of laryngitis so I'm gonna keep it light." Proceeds to accurately replicate brutal vocals without stress -- what a sign of technique. Cheers for the video!
the way wbtbwb did the chorus to this song is just... 😩... perfection. the highs honestly add to it a lot and thats crazy. for how silly it is its still just soo good
He's an awesome live shouter. Maybe you wanna react one of their originals? "Der Tag, an dem die Welt unterging" live at Imerpicon is a great video to begin.
At September 24th they are releasing a new Album... dont miss it! And Niiiiiiiiice reaction really enjoable and interesting. Thank you for that... greetings from germany! EHRE, ALLA!
Perfect Video. I dont care about the making of vocals in general. Cant do it, not gonna learn it, because I dont want to. BUT I love to learn about things in context. LIKE This. PERFECT! BIG LIKE + ABO
I'm surprised Mark was so surprised those high vocals worked so well on those trancy sections. It literally sounded like early 2000's metal core. Haha :)
Glad I found your channel! Been trying to learn to do various vocal styles to get more confident with my voice and the way you explain where the sounds are coming from are even great tips to use for my everyday speaking voice.
I reviewed their "Goldkinder" album, back when I was doing metal reviews, they're really a great band! And they've got one of the best monikers around :D
Fresh sub here! Love the content and Insight! Have you ever heard of Tetrarch by chance? I feel the singer had a very chester Bennington like scream and is owning it! Just an idea 💡
I would love to see your thoughts on Alfadhirhaiti by Heilung. Old Norse/Viking style and some insane throat singing. I’d love to hear you break that down 👌🏻
keep it up, love the breakdowns. been adding a tone of bands to my playlists since finding you. I know you asked in a early video ages ago, first introduction to metal was 8 Foot Sativa, NZ Metal band from the late 90's.
Hey! :) I just stared to check out reactions to this band. It's so fun, didnt get much into them until a month ago. But I can't find your first hype hype video? Did it get taken down or something? :o
I can do a lot of metal growls without any discomfort but making that high tone sound he makes kills the hell out of my throat, enough so that I know not to do it I would lose my voice after one or two tracks. my other problem with that sound is that its super easy for that tone to start sounding like Daffy Duck, in my experiences.
since you talked alot about "hacking" i really want to know what you think about Ryan Kirby from Fit for a King. Its very noticable in their recent album that he is going completely different. Because he wants to be very understandable when he is screaming. And me as a non-american can actually understand what he is screaming. I guess being so articulate (thats the correct word?) is veeeeeeery hard cause not many people do that. But Ryan really hits home everything. Just listen to Vendetta and you know what i mean
Hopefully this comment reaches you. I recently had a pretty gnarly tonsilectomy, I was wondering how you would think it could effect my vocals for either positive or negative. I never really thought about how your tonsils played a role in vocal shaping and such, and i'm curious what you'd think could be effects of missing them. My ENT wouldn't exactly have any idea what I was talking about LMAO.
Hey great video love your videos can you do Septic Flesh the song Anubis? His vocals are just different the way he does his lows there not gutterals there just very very loud and low lows
Wow, you know so much more about my technics than I do 😅 I need lessons!
No problem at all! You can send an email to kardavox1010@gmail.com to find out more about my student offerings!
@@KardavoxAcademy You just answered the singer of WBTBWB, in case you didnt notice ;)
Ultra geiler Song von euch, Danke!

Tobi, teach me master! 😀
Ooooooh, I'm so here for this. Hahahaha. Cannot wait!
Video definitely did not disappoint. I loved Mark's breakdown of Tobi's vocals, and this was so fun.
Right?! I dont normally do premieres. Just usually wait, but this is one that I was johnny on the spot for. Loved it.
@Dr S4T4N that's totally Bullshit ! Tobi is a beast on stage !
reactors unite
Hey Tank, is it time for him to do a video on Orbit Culture or what? :)

What i love most about this Hypa Hypa version.. is how they recreated most of the original Video but in much cheaper xD
Haha, that's true!
"I'm just coming off of laryngitis so I'm gonna keep it light."
Proceeds to accurately replicate brutal vocals without stress -- what a sign of technique. Cheers for the video!
Well said, exactly my thoughts :D
God I love Tobi’s vocals, I’m so stoked he’s back
Same!!! I’m not usually into high screams but his are so satisfying to listen to lol
I missed him when he left and now I will miss the new-old vocalist who just left, even though I love Tobi. Life is brutal.
@Dr S4T4N different strokes for different folks. It’s fair to not care for this style, but personally I had no trouble understanding the vocals here.
@Dr S4T4N barely slam but ok
Dude Same here definitely!! 🔥🔥🔥
The Fact that he did "casual lip singing" while he was actually singint brutal screams / shouts / squeals - almost killed me
It’s the funniest shit and mark looked away every time he did it 😂
What most seem to miss is that it’s reversed during the schlager part - the vocals are soft but the lip sync is aggressive 😄
6:06 and how he's like shouting during the calm vocal section lol
Someone get this man to listen to Dreh Auf!
5:35 the "megaphone dude" is Kevin, the remaining founding vocalist of Eskimo Callboy.
WBTBWB needs a new album asap. I hope this song is a hint at that
September 24 is your day then haha the new album is called "Das Album"
@@CelticDuelist if its anything like Dreh Auf (which im guessing will be on it), day one buy for me.
Since Das Album is out, the wishes were granted
@@jdm8702 in fact, I think the wishes were demolished. Das album is better then I could have imagined

Luke Griffin from Acrania, ill say it every video until you do a breakdown of "The Face of Humanity".
YO YO YO SAME SAME SAME SEME SAME

Just the little vocal flexes at the end.
So sassy in this one 😂😂
This song is just pure fun in every version of it. Thanks for still doing this in spite of not feeling well
We gotta get a recation to brojob someday
He's an awesome live shouter. Maybe you wanna react one of their originals? "Der Tag, an dem die Welt unterging" live at Imerpicon is a great video to begin.
That was not tobi, it was Paul Bartsch. Tobi was the original frontman, left for some years and is now back.
Tobi is on the album version though if you want to check that out
@@hqte5202 there is one live version of that song with tobi still there, its crazy to compare those 2 live performances
@@dominiklenner6817 I absolutely agree with you !
wow this guy is explaining how those sounds are made and im actually understanding it haha great stuff!
You should check out "dreh auf" by WBTBWB

never really listened to WBTBWB but those highs sound like a more controlled Alex Kohler of chelsea grin's desolation of eden era. I really like that.
It's so cool how you demonstrate de different distortion types. So many ways to do it! Its so cool!
"It's a really pretty, quintesential, deathcore... sound" is the best quote I've heard for a while.
You are going to have so much fun with this track. I haven't uploaded my reaction to it yet, but I was blown away. The clip is fun.

Did you say you did the original song? I checked the link of the reference video but it took me to their channel? I’m so confused 😭😭
Is it just me or is there no reaction to the original Hypa Hypa?
