Veronna. Great to see you on here. Best of luck. A little feedback which I rarely give. COVID, charismatic voice, Julia nilon, and so on, have increased the knowledge base of the channel surfers compared to, let’s say 2021. Assume your viewers know what a mixed voice, belt, etc is already. I don’t sing but those OGs are so good at teaching, it’s not necessary anymore. Unique insights, in and out in 10 mins. It’s either that or be a pure reactor, which is fun too. I wouldn’t give it, but I want you to succeed. I fast forwarded thru 90% of your comments. The pop singing insight was cool, the rest felt like 2021. Do what you will with this.
In studio Kevin (the tall one) does the harsh vocals, Nico the cleans, live they both do both styles though which is cool. I imagine a reaction to a live Electric Callboy video would give you a fair bit to dissect, something from the past year or 2. Great analysis, enjoyed the in depth approach to cleans which is usually overshadowed by the harsh vocals in heavy music, getting both sides of the coin from this channel is really making it into something special
When they play live, they do all the layering together. Nico will do the clean vocals and Kevin will do lower harmony or subtle screams underneath. And when Kevin is doing the scream, Nico will layer the higher pitch scream on to it or clean vocals behind it. And honestly, I think they sound way better live. They use production in their tracks obviously, but they can more than pull it off on stage.
@@VeronnaMusic I don't think they have released a live video of every time we touch at least not in high quality, for the best live performance, i would say go with, We Got the Moves, Hypa Hypa, or Space Man. All have great recordings and amazing vocal work and instrumentation by the band.
Nico can and has done their show alone, when Kevin had a family emergency. Usually he supports Kevin's screams, and Kevin supports the cleans. They do harmonies in clean and harsh vocals. Here is an acoustic performance with only clean vocals: ua-cam.com/video/0IGuVuQrh-Y/v-deo.html
If you want to be blown away by the same person singing and screaming watch Spiritbox live one take performance of circle with me. Btw, it's a female singer.
I would love to see a co-reaction and analysis with you and Mark of some stuff by Spiritbox! Courtney's singing is so beautiful and contrasts her scream so well!
They sound as good as they play live, also they have won the international live artist award in last year and nomonated this year to, I also can't whait to see them live for the first time.
so, if you want to see them live, their whoel set from Rock AM Ring is available on UA-cam.... Live their actually share the harsh vocal, with mostly Kevin doing them, but Nico is pretty good at them too. Overall one very tight performing group
The low part of Touch, touch, touch is probably both singers. Nico (clean singer) can go low when he growls like in the touch, touch, touch part and when they are in front of the band.
This was an unexpected treat, most reactions are just people vibing to the music or minor additions, so having someone not only break down what exactly is going on vocally, but also explain it in a way my inexperienced dumbass could understand everything was really cool! ^^ Got a new sub, I need to see more of these videos.
They sound incredible live, especially because the clean singer (Nico) also screams and the unclean singer (Kevin) also does backing cleans. Definitely would be interested in hearing you and Mark do one of their live performances to talk about how both aspects translate to live - thankfully the band has a bunch of high quality live performances on their channel (big ups to their sound guy Bollo). Anything from their 2023 Tekkno tour except fkboi (not much harsh vocals) would be great :)
7:50 something which some of us noticed, they use the studio audio in MVs, sometimes even 'dubbed/synced' over live performance videos, so it is counted in the music charts as digital listens/views. 11:16 You might want to check out Babymetal as well, she is a very precise singer. Can I suggest: Babymetal Akatsuki Budokan Black Night 2014. She was 16 years old there. In a lot of other songs she also dances.
I think you should definitely do a kardashev reaction! Cellar of ghosts is a great track full of beautiful singing! I think it'll be fun to hear you analyse Mark's voice
didnt expext someone else than mark but also very sympatic. i think that problem with ur cam is because u rased ur hand, which could be a gesture for the cam to reorientate/ refocus
I don't think in the breakdown or false breakdown (is this the correct term ? ) only sings Nico (the clean vocalist), they are singing both. "Everytime we touch" clean from Nico - "nooo" harsh from Kevin (the harsh vocalist). In my opinion one of the best part of the song. Very clever song writing. Live they support eachother more.
kevin is the main shouter and nico is the main singer though they both can shout and sing. you should watch one of their live shows espacially the acustic part when kevin plays piano and nico sings. he has a very beautiful voice
Prism acoustic in Münich is what you want for that I think, also an acoustic version of ‘pump it’ and of ‘Neon’ for Studio Brussels ( radio show, not sure about the spelling) are really nice ❤ Lovely reaction to a lovely bunch of people, thank you.
Definitely recommend a live reaction (with Mark!), particularly one from 2024, because I can say after watching hours of live footage and seeing them in person twice, they have gotten better and better over time. Nico's voice is spot on live, maybe with slightly more twang than in studio. And Kevin has recently expanded on the variety of his harsh vocal techniques on stage, adding in some goblin-y stuff and some really killer low growls, so I would argue he sounds better live than in the studio. Their more recent 2024 live stuff also has Kevin's microphone turned up enough that we can hear his clean harmonies much better, and they are quite good! The compliment Nico very well. I would love to get your take on Nico's vocal technique live. His breath support is insane given how much he jumps around and dances on stage. And he does A LOT of harsh vocals to support Kevin. It's quite impressive how quickly he can switch back and forth between the two.
@@VeronnaMusic Definitely 👍 One more time thank you and obviously waiting for more Maybe something new to you Xandria with new vocalist Ambre Vourvahis She's one of my favourites this year 😜💜
Loved the analysis. Reactors usually don’t spend so much time with Nico‘s part. So I appreciate you analyzing the clean vocals. ❤😊 On another note: I have been waiting for a long time to see a reaction to Dimash on this channel. But then Dimash came and proved me wrong! 😂 The taste thing applies to everyone else. Nein! Nein! Nein!
Haha sorry if it sounded like that. It’s just I know that a lot of people think pop is « easy » because the composition might be « easier », though vocals aren’t most of the time 😉 ! Like rock vocals!
@VeronnaMusic no worries, you'll find there are overzealous fans with certain idiosyncrasies about techniques. There are undoubtedly amazing vocalists with distorted/harsh vocals who deserve praise but we respect that other genres also have equally difficult techniques to master.
Are you new to this channel? They are vocal coaches who use the reaction format to analyze the vocals of various songs. If that’s not your thing, you’re better off looking elsewhere for more traditional reaction videos.
With all due respect, but if you think Pop Songs are “fast”…try listening to Eminem. Listen to “Rap God” and “Godzilla”. Being able to rap just as fast as Eminem or faster is MUCH HARDER than singing a “fast” Pop Song.

Hey Veronna ! Woooop Wooop !
you don't look like you were a kid 32 years ago. You've aged very well.
Rumour has it that Kevin and Nico are still doing their hand shake to this day
XD lol
We need Tank the Tech to confirm.
Not a rumor.

They combine every genre i dislike/ hate/ don't care about... and i enjoy listening to them.
HAHAHa well said!!! 😂
Just like you wouldn't eat some ingredients to your favourite dish separately. But when they are combined and prepared correctly, it works its magic.
Perfectly said 😂

Boys, boys! It's here! Let's chill while they cook.
The switching between clean and harsh is not the same person. Its Nico (clean vocal) and Kevin (harsh vocal) alternating the singing.
Nico mainly does the cleans and Kevin mainly do the harsh vocals but they do both often.
