Plus he is talking about tiny dogs getting away with aggressive behaviour but the harm that these tiny dogs can possibly do cannot be compared to the fatal damage that Pit Bulls are capable of .
Pit bulls will give you 100% or more if you ask. The key is to ask for a gentle companion. I've had 2 pits and they strived to be the BEST family members! Regular excersise is key! Even a 20 min walk ( an hour is best) will help your pitty expend excess energy and help his home life. Honestly the best companions out there!! All it really takes is your love 😊👍
@@TheHumbuckerboyso that gives a small dog a pass. To be aggressive and bite another person or dog no. The damage caused by a pitbull wtf. Every big dog breed. Will can and will cause the same damage. To a little dog as a pitbull. Any dog will react out of instinct. If a small dog attacks them. Because a small dog, is biting there legs, and is able to get under them. To the big dogs stomach. Were a big dog is most vulnerable to injuries. It's any animals instinct to protect themselves for that reason. Also half the time alot of small dog owners think. There dogs don't need to be on a leash.
@@bretjjjohnson7942 Tiny dogs do not cause the same extent of damage that Pit Bulls often do when they attack. Pit Bulls often kill people and other animals when they attack.
I worked at an animal hospital for three years. We had many, MANY pit bulls come through. Some were born and raised there, some were dropped off from other places. Almost always the aggressive mean ones were the ones who were raised elsewhere or abandoned. We trained and treated the ones born there very nicely and they grew up to be good dogs that we never had problems with. However, the ones who were raised elsewhere were almost ALWAYS a problem. Our best guess as to why was because they weren't properly trained or socialized. Let's be honest here, Pit Bulls or any mix of them are not lap dogs. They're powerful and like an large and powerful dog, need to be properly trained and socialized. If you're going to get a dog, get off your ass and train it.
Agreed. We had a guy who trained his pits and boar hunted with them and they were awesome. But 99% of other owners weren't capable of handling a breed like this, or a husky, or even a lab mix or a pug. Most people who own pits shouldn't have a dog period, let alone a pet. Which has led to the restrictions and stigma of the breeds despite pit bull type dogs being quite pleasant when properly owned and trained.
@@monicasmith3723 same for my two pit rescues as I pleaded my dad to get both brothers and that day was the day they were going to be put to sleep. It was a high kill shelter as pits and other dogs had 2 weeks to I think be adopted or I don’t remember how it was as I was 13 I believe at the time they were 4 years old at the time and trust me they came from dog fighting and they couldn’t see a man in front and be skittish or would show their teeth but as I would watch Cesar and read many books I took the task to help them. It took me roughly 3 months for them to be comfortable with my dad who was a person who would just get ready for work eat sleep and clean. My mom was normally always home as he was the bread winner. I was training one on one and in 6 months they changed and with in a year they played with my neighborhood friend who was a guy also catch. When I was 18 I lost one due to cancer. My second dog then was put down due to having bad arthritis as he was 11 at the time and was in pain. It was someone’s doing that made them be like that but took me awhile to help them as I didn’t want to give up. The members of the shelter just didn’t want them there idk if scared as not many pits were there that I remember as it’s been over a decade.
"In... Sweden... They don't believe in banning breed." "...they're just going to make sure they educate the people." First Sweden gives us the Swedish Chef, then IKEA and Swedish meatballs, then Opeth and other fantastic metal bands from there, and finally they don't ban breeds and they actually educate the masses to get the facts straight? Please let me fast forward in life to where I migrate to Sweden!
Hollis Pierman The laws have changed, I tried to leave a link but UA-cam's not letting me for some reason. You can always google it if you want to. A portion of this, I suspect, has to do with immigration from places where dog fighting is more popular and accepted and thus people feel the laws have to change.
+Hollis Pierman (sonicfan7895) Im not sure were Cesar got his information from, but its not true... I see "thugs" with aggressive pitbulls everyday in Sweden lol
I have been working at an animal care center and I have never been bitten by a pit bull, or any of the stereotypical "aggressive" breeds. I was bitten once by a dalmatian and a few times by smaller dogs who were scared at the time. Pit bulls are one of the sweetest breeds I've had the honor of working with.
Cerena....thanks for your comment. You certainly have the knowledge. I know there are some aggressive pits out there....but in general they are sweet, loving, beautiful dogs. I own my first one now...my son brought Boost home as a pup. I demanded he take that "devil" back to the breeder. Now two years later...I wouldn't know what to do without him.
My guess is you still have your hands and arms? No one is debating that other dogs can't and won't bite people. It's the damage that is done that is the problem.
Never had luck with Dalmatians. The only time i got bite was by a dalmatian but i did'nt respect its space... Just wish the dog had given me some warning.
My best friend was a pit bull, we grow up together he was ALWAYS there to protect me with his life. He had his own caracter and he was the best thing evere hapend to me life! He died in 2011 at the age of 15 and one month old. I wish i could gave him some of my years so we can live together.
Educating people sounds great until the people don’t listen and then you have an uneducated owner with a powerful dog. Then what do you do? That’s how it is now and that’s why they’re being banned. People won’t listen for the betterment of everyone they just ban them to insure it.
Unfortunately Pit Nutters refuse to acknowledge this and this is why we see these fatal attacks all the time. They live in a fantasy world. Also for people that complain against ‘breed discrimination’ they seem to have a burning hatred for chihuahuas. Like what’s a chi gonna do? You need a band aid? A shitbull attack might send someone to the morgue.
From my observation the lowest IQ dog owners ARE Pitbull owners? Why? Because Pitbulls have a reputation as a tough dogs and low IQ people are more violent.
I agree. Also I agree with C Millan sort of, ban Rottweilers too. Trash dog for trash people. Editing this because this he says stupid stuff. Why is he speaking about how agressive and misbehaved chihuahuas or pomeranians are? This is dumb.
If you were bitten by a Chihuahua, it's because you're foolish enough to trust a dog simply because it's small. There are so many pit bull mixes and Chihuahua mixes, it's ridiculous to hate on any breed. Dogs do whatever their owners expect of them. It's so easy to train your dog with all the videos on youtube. Short, kind training sessions will work.
Yeah the trouble is, there's So many bad owners who permanantly screw up dogs and then ditch them so that now we have all these damaged, dangerous dogs in circulation. A lot (not all) people like Pitbulls for the wrong reasons, the same way some people who get off on guns. Because they want to feel badass.
_'If you were bitten by a Chihuahua, it's because you're foolish enough to trust a dog simply because it's small.'_ Nope. It's because you're dumb enough to ignore the dog's warning it was about to bite. Small dogs have a hard time (because they're small) when people get in their faces, which people do to small dogs A LOT. The dogs then start getting aggressive, people ignore the signs, the dog escalates, people react, the dog is reinforced for showing aggression and then you call a dog trainer. I agree with the rest of your post. Breed discrimination appears to be ridiculous and yes, there's so many good youtube channels with decent, free training advice, there really is no excuse nowadays.
Nick no its not. BSL saves kids and idiot owners from themselves. It would not be a ban against dogs, but a ban on a breed known from maiming and killing others. These silly pit people will just have to pick a different type of dog.
I worked as an Animal Control Officer and Vet assistant. The 5 worst breeds I encountered were Dalmatians, Akitas, Chihuahuas, Pomeranians and Chows. All B.S. aside- Anything with teeth can bite. Now I have 5 dogs on 10 acres... 2 Pits, an Australian Shepherd, a Jack Russell, and a Chihuahua. They all get along with each other and other dogs. They all get along with other people. They are only aggressive of my property, my truck, and when I tell them to be aggressive. That's their Job. They never even leave the yard (3 1/2 foot fences). It's all in the upbringing and training. There are propensities for aggression in some breeds, but they can be either encouraged or discouraged by the owner. Pits can be, in my experience, one of the best breeds available. If a dog attacks and/or kills a person or animal- It is solely the owners fault. Fact is- way more children are attacked and killed by other people (even their own family) than by Dogs.
Joseph, I've been training dogs, and wild animals over 4 decades. Your right ! Cesar is right ! And in the 50's it was the German shepherd . I also hear this from my long time friend in st louis, whose been animal control 30 years. Almost word, for word, what you said ! As a control officer, you have to admit, the fear factor plays a big part with your experience !?
Joseph Vannoy Can you please give me your experiences with the Rottweiler? I'm interested in getting one. Also why do pitbulls attack their owners. I just watched the news of a Women that was mauled to death by her 2 pits that she had since puppies. When the police got their, they were guarding her mangled body. Was this because the dogs weren't purebred or something else?
67 cuda Well I appreciate it. I'm just trying to get different people's perspectives and opinions. Any information you can give, would be greatly appreciated! Plus the other guy was a jerk! I looking to purchase within the next month. I want to get as much info to make sure I make the right decision.
Brandon. Let me first ask in detail, what are you looking for in a dog ? What's its purpose's ? Where do you live, how much room do you have, and do you have kids, or other pets ? What is your experience with dogs, what breeds ? How old are you, and how much quality time do you have to spend with it on a daily basis ? Be truthful, and realistic ! Sometimes the breed you think is perfect for you, turns into a nightmare for both you, and the dog, and bad things happen ?! Rottwielers should only be owned by very experienced gaurd breed owners ! I can help you choose the right breed for you ?! I am very good with this, and most people thank me for it . I've been doing this professionally for decades ! You know there is a big difference in breed design, psychologically ! This is important !!!
Joseph Vannoy but they dont kill pitbulls have killed over 500 people in US alone. Many of them babies. I have nothing agaisnt pits so dont attack me for saying thst
Brian Richner just my opinion, I don't think thepenatron was trying to offend a person such as yourself. Your probably looking to rescue your dog, and have a companion and friend. There are some though that do want a " muscle dog" cause it makes them look tough, and that is the wrong reason to buy or rescue, again my opinion.
Jensen Interceptor Because Cocker Spaniels and Poodles are fucking ugly. Cats are boring. There are millions of pit bull type dog breeds in need of a home so chances are higher that you'll adopt one of them (plus they're visually appealing).
“In the 70s they blamed dobermans. In the 80s they blamed German Shepards. In the 90s they blamed Rottweilers. Now they blame the pit bulls! When will they blame the owners that raised them!?” -Cesar Millan Love this dude.
@@AnnabelleHua because of the increase in pit bull ownership, people are starting to notice how dangerous these dogs are. Doberman, Shepards and others were more owned than pit bulls at the time which is why there attack numbers were considered “high” back then, now pit bulls are responsible for over 60%+ of dog attacks despite being 3% of dog breeds population globally.
Actually back when the fear was Dobies it was because a movie came out called They only kill their masters. It scared a lot of people, sort of like Jaws brought out fear of water
Dobermans are the second most represented after Pitbulls for fatal attacks on humans once you account for population, however Pitbulls make Dobermans look like chumps when it comes to fatalities per percent of population by atleast 4x.
@@TwoPlusTwoEqualsFive32 wrong! Rottweilers come on second number on fatal attacks done one humans. Numbers three is the GSD and number 4 was the American Bulldog. Dobbermans are number 12 or something.
Adolph Oliver Bush - Awesome yes!! Personal responsibility and accountability. Lacking in our society these days sadly, but there are some of us out there :)
A Voice In The Wilderness Angela van Es Because someone wasn't responsible and raised the pitbull wrong. Pitbulls are not PETS, they take far more time, energy, money, and training than your typical lap dog. If you get one, socialize it with other dogs and humans, and put it to work to use it's energy. Most people don't do that, and that is neglect and can cause these attacks.
My roommate got a pit bull and it made me uneasy at first. But it doesn't take long to see they are ver affectionate loving kind animals. Not my type of dog because they are high maintenance indeed but there is no reason to fear a pit bull that hasn't been mistreated. They absolutely love people.
+Alex Guevara Marulanda you shouldn't judge something that you know nothing about. try owning a pitbull before you do so. I was bitten by a pitbull as a child. I now own two pitbulls and they are amazing.
I know what I am talking about...I have friends and family with pitbulls, well owned no violence at all...and they bit the same hand that was feeding them...not to mention friends and family...hope your stupid dogs don't bite or kill your family chilldren or your parents or friends..pretty much anyone. Then you will regret to have had them.
I think the reason pitbulls are a problem right now is due to several factors. The number one problem, and I see it quite a bit in these comments, is the idea that your dog "wouldnt hurt a fly!". That is a dangerous and stupid attitude to take with any dog of any size, especially stupid with larger breeds. You do not know how your do might behave under stress without your leadership. Dogs, first and foremost, are animals. No matter how domesticated, they have strong instincts. In breeds like a pitt, who will maintain genetic traits from its breeding as a fighting dog, a high level of attention, training and responsibility is required. Before you say anything, yes they do retain those traits, not unlike a sheep dog who is naturally inclined to its role. Im not saying there is truth in the random pitbull attacks either, theres always a reason, but they require extra attention. Take for example a doberman (love that breed, one of many that could be used here) if you have children and a child ends up play fighting with another this is a dangerous situation. Yes, normally dogs will know the differance, but not always which can lead to tragedy without proper leadership and training. The owners understanding of the danger and providing proper leadership will not have a problem. The owner who stubbornly believes their dog would never bite anyone under any circumstance without their say so could have a tragedy on their hands. Without leadership every dog is dangerous, more so with a breed who can kill you. Its common sense. Second of course, they are popular so there will be more problems. Third, all to often people get a dog who they are unable to train. Either from lack of knowledge, stubbornness or just getting a breed like this as some kind of status symbol. I believe that if you are not physically able to control your dog (I cringe when I see a 90 pound woman walking two 150 pound rotties) then you should not own it. Even if you are a wonderful trainer you cant control other peoples animals. You need to be able to restrain your dogs from a fight. If you weigh 100 pounds, your not going to be able to stop a 100 pound dog. All in all they are a great breed. If they are banned, might as well ban a dozen others who have the same traits. However more education is needed for owners before they decide to take on the role of a keeper for any dog with this temperament and capacity for damage.
+Joseph Zaccardi I agree, and I also think there's something to breeds getting popular and overbred. when a breed is overbred I mean far too many are bred and there is a lack of care or responsibility with how they are bred, leading to genetic issues ranging from distemper to chronic illnesses. these suddenly become the norm with the breed and hurt its reputation. and I definitely agree with your first point, you have to monitor your dogs. My dog is a mastic mix, about knee high and 65 pounds, he loves children and as long as I can keep an eye on him I feel comfortable letting him interact with my neighbor's and relative's children. I do not however trust him with other dogs consistently, as he has a mixed track record in that regard. sometimes he can go and have a great time at the dog park with no incidents; and then other times I have to take him home because he won't get along with the other dogs and I don't want him to start a fight. people need to truly get to know their dogs, their strengths and limitations, and learn how to correctly work with, around, and through these issues. and a lot of people don't seem to want to do this.
Squirell E1 guns cars and knives dont think and have the ability to act on their own. So that part of your agreement is a fail. Now the other animals you speak should also be banned. Who needs a ape or tiger. Nobody.
lanesteele240 if your logic is ban animals that have the potential to kill you would also have to eliminate cats, horses, ponies, cows, pigs, sheep, goats, pet snakes, turtles, etc. Almost any animal can potentially kill a person whether by biting, clawing, kicking, head butting, passing lethal diseases and parasites, etc. So yes your logic is flawed!!!
Pit Bulls are not violent or aggressive, we have a 3 year old 65 lb female pit (back ground: from a bad home where she was bullied by another female pitbull, when she first got to that home...bitten, food stolen...then realized 'hey I'm stronger' and kicked the others ass bad, then was kept caged or locked in a room and not fed regularly) we've had her a month, discipline, rules, excersise, affection and she's fine...loves to play and meet other dogs, love kids. we took her to a state park memorial day, tons of people, tons of dogs. an irresponsible owner brought an aggressive dog, knew it was aggressive...told us so and then let it's leash loose and it lunges and bit my pit locking on its nose, I released slack to let her defend herself knowing she can fight. the other owners pulled their dog back...and my Pit did not attack she whelped from the bite then stood by my side even though she had slack to attack back..then I pulled back the leash to keep her close not wanting to intentionally escalate. She was bleeding from the mouth and snout for about ten min. But after...still was meeting and being nice to all other dogs she met and walking through crowds of people barely even sniffing them unless they asked to pet her. Pit bulls do not just bite...she was attacked and did not bite. it's 100% the owner. I was calm during the attack and I believe she picked up on my state and reacted to my lead. If I freaked and got scared / mad I am pretty sure she would have killed that dog before anyone could react.
i know but at the time I wanted to first make sure she was ok and then just enjoy the day... Now I know that dogs can die from infection within hours from a bite. So yah if that ever happens again, cops, vet and I'll kick the other dog in the neck and crush its esophagus :D
***** Thank you! got any vids/pics of your pitt, you hit that on the head...they are sweet dogs if treated properly. Just like any other dog, they just happen to be more powerful. Mine's Jumpy still but when I get her in a group class this spring i'm sure some of that nervousness will work itself out. I'm not trained to properly socialize a dog to the point I can let her run free so...I DONT.
My Zoie is an ambassador for the breed. She is kind and loving. She gets along with all dogs big and small. She loves people. She is not crazy about the neighbors cat. But everything else is fine with her. Zoie is a 10 month old Pit. She goes to the dog park every day and has friends there. I wish people would understand that Pits are dogs and not some killing machine. Mine loves to play with border collies because of the high energy. She also plays with a Cain Corso and the two of them get along well. And when other Pits come in the yard the game is on. Play like crazy. I sit at the table and talk to other people and the dogs play. I like that.
My rednose pitbull, who recently passed away, was a rescued dog that I adopted from the county shelter in 2004. Even though she had been abused in her prior life, she was always a very gentle and sweet dog with everyone. She was especially gentle with small children and even other dogs and cats. When I get another dog it will likely be another rescued pit.
Our pitbull passed away a little over a month ago at the age of 12. He was a large, red-nosed pit with a kind and gentle soul. He loved to be around people and would get in the way just so he could be petted, In other words, he was a big baby. However if a stranger came to the door, they could tell by his bark that there was a big dog on the other side. He loved people, but did not particularly care for other dogs. Even then I would not call him aggressive, just not as patient as he was with people, especially small children. I agree with a comment made in the video about having a greater chance of being bitten by a small dog; not because of their temperament, but they are more easily frightened due to their small size.
I'm not sure if I'm bored with pitbulls being totalled banned, I think their a beautiful breed however the rhetoric that its just the owner not the dog or their unfairly treated and represented among the media is bullshit. Just look at the data, all dog owners have shitty owners... Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Dobermans etc are nowhere near the range pitbulls are represented in dog attacks. They need to be more heavily regulated and controlled, they've proven they are an unpredictable and extremely violent breed. The general public simply cannot be trusted with this breed of dog. Some pitbull lovers are completely delusional with dangers of owning a pitbull and it makes me sick, they were eventually banned in my country after a long history of attacks, with the final being a young child was mauled to death after one escaped. Typically, these status types buy Staffordshire Bull Terriers now.
I'm so glad that this video brought toy-size dogs into play. Everybody thinks it's cute when a dog the size of my Mstiff's shit snaps at my dog. I take her to a dog run and they think it's "cute" or "tough." But, the fact of the matter is that it displays poor training. If my Cane Corso or red nose pitty did the same thing to their Chihuahua they'd scream for a lawsuit or euthanization. It all comes down to training and time invested in any dog, That's regardless of their weight class or "unlockable jaws."
@Tyler Steen There's a difference between a dog less than 10lbs nipping at you and breaking the skin AND a dog just under 100lbs mauling you and eating you.
Tyler Steen Yes. Dogs attack when they are scared, so something has to scare them. The abuse and neglect inflicted on pitbulls is something that would scare anyone. That's why little dogs are so aggressive, they are scared of everything.
@Life is a highway I guess that makes me a car crash You obviously didn't get my point. My point was, there's a reason why people are afraid of pitbulls and why they may get banned somewhere. They're only 6% of the dog population, yet they're responsible for 68% of attacks and 52% of deaths. They were bred throughout history to be fighting dogs and hunting dogs. It's in their blood.
ekahnoman Actually, it's not in their blood. Pitbulls are the least aggressive dogs by nature, as they were originally bred to watch AND protect children. People abuse and neglect them until they become aggressive, they aren't born that way. That's why you see so many attacks, pitbulls are the most abused and neglected dogs. And most of the time when someone says they were bit by a pitbull, they were wrong, they just don't know dog breeds. It's important to socialize dogs, because if something bad happens with their owner or another dog, and they've only met a few people or dogs, then they think every human and animal is dangerous. People forget that pitbulls are not pets, they are workers and companions. You not only have to socialize them, but you have to find ways to use their energy. Pitbulls need a lot more time, effort, attention, and training than your typical lap dog. Most people don't get that. When you don't train a pitbull properly, it becomes scared of everything. Dogs only attack out of fear, and that is why small dogs are so aggressive. They are afraid of everything.
I have two adorable 65 lb lap pitbulls. ... yes lap I said it they love people so much they want to cuddle up as close as possible to lick you nonstop. The older dog that's 3 yrs old got beat up at the dog park by a old grey chihuahua. .. and then proceeded to run run and hide behind me and cry .. and the other even when she got bit by another unfriendly dog she went back tail wagging two minutes later trying to make friends again dogs are like children they have personalities and you learn to understand them and teach them you don't blame all children for one bad kid and then say all kids are bad if you have a bad kid it most likely seems from a parent that isn't fulfilling a needed requirement (if you don't understand what I'm saying you either haven't owned a animal or if you did you treated it the same as plant )
"Are Pit Bulls Dangerous to People? Despite the fact that pit bulls were bred to fight with each other, early breeders took pride in producing dogs that were trustworthy and friendly to people. Handlers bathed their opponent’s dog before a match, stood in the pits with the battling dogs and often pulled them apart to end a fight. Any dog who behaved aggressively toward a person was culled, or killed, to avoid passing on such an undesirable trait. Pit bulls typically lived in their owner’s homes, where they earned the nickname “nursemaid’s dog” because they were so reliable with young children. In fact, “Pete the Pup,” the children’s friend from the old TV series “Our Gang,” was a pit bull." Read this-www.aspca.org/pet-care/virtual-pet-behaviorist/dog-behavior/truth-about-pit-bulls
when i was 12 i used to volunteer at the local animal shelter, there was a specific row of cages that held pitbulls in them. One of the workers told me not to get too close because they were 'aggressive'. As i was watering the dogs bowls, i approached the cages of the pitbulls and THEY WERE THE BIGGEST FUCKING SWEETHEARTS. They didn't bark or lunged, they just wagged their tails and watched me put water in their bowls.......honestly beginning to think the doggies just didn't like the guy, he was a total douche bag.
@Sports Guru if you actually took the time to do your own research youd see that they even tend to label other mastiff breeds as pitbulls when they attack. People like YOU are fucking annoying. Always want to comment on things without personally experiencing anything either like an imbecile.
@Sports Guru like you actually took the time to comment on a 4 year old comment. Get a fucking life or get laid, just do something with your useless self. Talking about statistical analysis you probably got off of dogsbite literally cofounded by a person that hates pitbulls and makes it her mission to make the breed look worse than it is.
I grew up with a pit bull and he was the sweetest dog that you could have ever met. It's been over 20 years since he passed away. I Still Miss Him Now. My father brought him home when he was just a month old.
I had a beautiful huge Doberman around 1981 and he was the biggest baby ever. Now mind you, when I walked him ~ due to his appearance and the fear associated with them people would cross the road and walk on the other side of the street. I'm a petite woman and never did I ever have a problem with my beautiful Doberman. I became educated about the breed and conditioned him to trust and obey. I really miss that beautiful dog - he lived a long happy life and gave so much joy.
I've volunteered the last 15 years of my life at shelters. Pit bulls aren't the problem. People are the problem. Be a responsible pet owner. In every breed there are challenges. Places like Denver, miami, Cincinnati who ban a breed are ignorant.
I live near Cincinnati I love pitbulls I hate how I can't take my dogs downtown because there's a lot of cool places down there I love to look at some of the statues and old buildings. But I can't take my pits down there it's very unfair.
I owned my pitbull from the time I was 12 until I was about 22. He was the nicest dog ever. He looked mean and would run away all the time. I always found him playing with kids, he loved kids. He was the only dog that was I knew friendly with all the mailman. When I was 15, my sister was born and he was so protective of her. Always watching out for her. My sister loved him. We also had a small Maltese that my sister was afraid of because she would bite.
I have dealt with pitts for 13 years. I have a 13 yr old and a 1 yr old pitt now. I also have a 10 yr old son and 5 yr old nephew. My dogs have never given me or anyone around them any problems. I took time to train and exercise them daily. I trust them around the kids. My nephew lives with a pitt and has no problems at home with his pitt. Pitts are not bad dogs but I believe that they have BAD owners. I have been bitten twice both times by a Chihuahua. If PEOPLE do there jobs when it comes to any dog and not just get them for show or status then a lot of these problems will go away. Dogs no matter the breed needs to be walked daily, socialized, and showed love. They don't need to be tied up in the back yard and the only human contact they have is when it is time to eat. Put yourself in there shoes and treat them how you would want someone to treat you if you was a dog!!
And Seigfreid and Roy never had trouble with their trained cats for years and years either. I suppose some lion tamers, and quite a few pit owners, escape the tendency of pit bull types to maul, maim, and kill the people they attack. But that tells us precisely nothing about the actual danger generated by pit bulls. Nada. So, I will continue to observe valid scientific studies, genetics, actuaries for multi-billion dollar corporations, the US Armed Forces, hundreds of municipalities and national governments that all indicate the exact same thing: pit bull types are uniquely dangerous among dog breeds and require special regulation if not outright banning.
Larry Sanders That is absolute BS. Pit bulls are frequently used as service dogs, therapy dogs, even in the military and law enforcement. There is nothing wrong with their genetics, they are generally healthy dogs without significant physical flaws, such as eyes popping out of their heads, or being prone to hip dysplasia, like overly mis-bred big dogs suffer from, like German shepherds... which can, and often does, result in a grumpy and aggressive disposition when these dogs get older. The canine gene pool doesn't differ that much from breed to breed. In my experience, pit bulls are one of the most stable and predictable breeds, although energetic and sometimes a handful. The ATTS ranks them among the best of all breeds, better than Golden Retrievers.
donnadong2 Well if all dogs deserve a chance, then black people deserve self-determination in all things; community control of our own schools, our owned banks our own hospitals our own supermarkets even our own law enforcement and not be called "reversed racist" but Chinatown, Little Italy little Cuba little Puerto Rico little Ireland little Poland Little Germany little Greece, little Armenia, little Albania, little Russia, Koreatown, so on and so forth, they're never called reverse racist! 😤
Case in point of what he said about how people used to fear Dobermans and Rots like they do Pitbulls today: I grew up with both Dobermans and Rots. Never was attacked. Lived with a guy who had a Pit, she was the goofiest dog ever. Totally friendly and playful.
Pitbulls are AMAZING animals. I have have had a dog in my life since I was born (30 years ago). I've had labs, retrievers, beagles, german shepards, huskies, and now I own a beautiful brown pitbull. He is by far the best, smartest, most gentle dog that I have had yet. He snuggles with his two cats every night. It is sad that so many people choose to raise their dogs (any breed) with aggressive tendancies. I have known many other pitbulls in several western states and not one of them has bitten anybody. But, I was attacked by my neighbors irish setter when I was 6, my mom was bit by a dalmation when she was young, a neighbor of mine was bit by an aussie sheep dog, and recently another buddy of mine was attacked by a brown lab. All of those are supposed to b good, non aggressive family dogs. Saying every pitbull is mean and will hurt people is just plain ignorance. All u poor people scared of pitbulls just because r probably the same racist people that discriminate against people of a different skin color. Wake up folks, pitbulls r not going anywhere. Ever watch the little rascals? Spot was a pitbull. They were not bred to fight, they were bred tfor coursing, aka they r hunting dogs. They were the babysitter dog in england for many years. I am lucky enough to live in a city where my dog is accepted and loved by many. Thank you Bend, Oregon! All you discriminating twits can stay in denver. Thank you.
I fucking HATE ppl who judge these beautiful pitbulls I get so angry and frustrated 😤because these ppl r to ignorant to understand that not all pitbulls are vicious and deadly some r good for family pets their very protective of their owners IF U SHOW THEM LOVE AND MAKE THEM APART OF UR FAMILY THEY WILL UNCONDITIONALLY😢 I JUST LOVE THESE DOGS😊💗💋
Artist Frank and what about those that have killed children, their owners? Why do they do it. And yes I've heard it's not the breed but why would they do it if they were perfectly loyal liked you guys make them sound?
My mother is a veterinarian and I work as a vet Tech we know plenty about Pit bulls .Most of the Pitbulls I have been around have been great .But one day our family pit snapped and tore my mom's hand apart. He had been a great well trained dog up until then .Any dog can have a bad Day but when a pit bull has a bad day everyone involved has a bad day.
The pitbull is a powerful breed. There is no doubt about that. One can argue that there is a "chance" a pitbull could still attack or turn on its owner. However, one can also argue that to be true for any breed dog. I've had many different breeds and only been bit twice, once by a LAB and once by a Australian Shepherd. I've never been bit by a pitbull, Rottie, Doberman, etc. I did have a pitbull charge me one time, just the other day in fact, but when I took 2-3 steps toward him and was about to draw my firearm he stopped and just barked. I stepped toward him to let him know I was not fleeing and I was so glad he stopped because I didn't want to shoot him but I had no other way to fend off a dog that size. In my town pitbulls are everywhere. Everyone has them and most run free. This is becoming a problem. I don't blame the breed. I blame the owners. So many people have this breed and yet FEW are capable of controlling them. With the right owner this breed is no problem and no threat to anyone. Unfortunately though most people who have these dogs are too ignorant or too lazy to control them, work with them, train them, etc. The predjudice toward pitbulls will not stop and will not change until the owners are held accountable for their lack of control over their dog. Dogs, like children, will behave in a dangerous manner if not raised properly. A badly raised pitbull might bite a kid. A badly raised child might kill several classmates. Stop blaming the breed and start punishing the owners. If you can't control this breed then you don't need to have this breed. It is not good for anyone including the dog. Pitbulls need strong owners and that doesn't mean some guy with a big ego and a macho attitude. They require calm, patient, and responsible masters.
Thanks for your comments as I think you and I agree on a number of points. I have the same problem in the condo complex here where I live, not to mention the neighboring independent houses. A lot of pitbulls around and I’ve seen them often without a leash. Whenever I go out walking to get some exercise I am constantly looking over my shoulder or around me to see where one might be. There is clear reason why they are being banned. Apart from them being unpredictable, many don’t know how to handle the breed.
You won’t have to get your arm amputated if a chihuahua bites you. The consequence of an irresponsible chihuahua owner is very different from a pitbull owner. So either you have policy in place that mandates training for powerful breeds or you have BSL. Pick one.
Certain breeds are more likely to be aggressive but it all comes down to training and handling. My aunts pitty is so laid back you can climb all over him and the biggest reaction you get is a yawn or a rolling over. My other aunt has a cocker spaniel that will lunge across the room and eat you if you so much as look at it the wrong way. The dog that bites the most people is statistically the golden retriever. This is partially because it's considered a 'family type dog' and little kids like to grab things they shouldn't... Like tails or ears for instance. I've got three dogs, used to have four. Two of them are of the supposedly 'vicious breeds' (rottie and a pitty-cross) and were rescued by SPCA from a dog fighting ring. Neither of them has so much as snapped at someone, hell, the cat's favorite way of waking me up is to pounce on they're sleeping backs at the ass crack of dawn and set them of howling. I use my rotti as a damn pillow when I sleep and I move around in my sleep a lot. It's not just the breed. It's also training, natural mindset (newsflash ppl, not every dog is the same mindset even within the same breed anymore then ppl are), experiences, background...etc. I'm also not saying that pittys and rotties and them are all perfect angels either. But you have to account for more then the breed. Seriously, one of the reasons you hear more about the large dogs attacking (aside from the obvious injury to size thing) is because who wants to walk into emerge and have to explain they need half a dozen stitches because their cocker took offence to how they looked and decided to change it? Most people would come up with an excuse of some kind (riding accident was my go to) rather then admit they got pwned by an ankle biter. More so if they're older or the dog belongs to family/ friend that they might not want in trouble. I once had to get two of my fingers half resown back on because the damn cocker tried to eat them when I offered the nutter a biscuit. (Actually he lunged at my face and I fell over and put my hands up to protect myself and he got the didgets instead of my face.) another time my pitty-cross had to pull someone else's dog off of me when it saw me walking down the street and attacked (a poodle for the record, who was of leash despite the owners clearly having no control over it.) according to the owners it felt threatened by there being another dog (first why isn't it on a leash then and why did it go after me and not my dog if that were true?). Mine was on the leash (because while I have complete control over him I'm aware of how nervous he can make ppl when they see his breed off-leash) which I dropped after I realized Fifi there wasn't so happy to see me. And it was my dog that got in shit? All he did was pull the other dog away by the scruff and kept himself between the dog and owners and me. No growls, no barks or teeth baring. The other dog wasn't even bleeding and their vet check later turned out clear. Just standing there waiting for me to gather my wits. HE got a few small bites from Fifi but nothing serious and I was unharmed but for a bit of road rash. Judge took one look at the case and decided that while they were at fault (and had to get obedience training and remain on a leash) it was my dog that would have to be monitored to "make sure it wasn't a danger to others." I lucked out and had the whole damn thing on tape because of another person who saw what was going down and ripped out the iPod to record. And still my pitty-cross was obviously the one that needed to be watched. If he were truly a 'vicious breed' he would of shredded that poodle for attacking me. And guess what, same poodle attacked a little kid less then a week later, sent him to hospital and surgery but he never got put down. Yet if a pitty had done the same thing half the city would be demanding it. Any dog can leave life-threatening injuries if they get lucky or manage to get a hold on you. Sometimes I wonder if ppl shouldn't have to apply for a licence to own anything more dangerous then a hamster just on the basis of how stupid ppl can be.
My brothers pittie is 10 yrs old & has never growled, bit or shown the 1st bit of aggression and we had him for a year and a 1/2 with no issues. My spaniel a growler. He HATES women period! I still love him, spoil him & care for because he deserves it after being surrendered 2 times before we got him. (We found out later the lady was taking dogs being boarded and forging surrender papers to make money on them by adopting them out to new homes) When his "tude" gets a little to known I will put him in a quiet room to chill out. Then I will go in and give him some love, tell him he it's ok and bring him back out with the rest of the family and he is fine. For him it works very well.
I know what you're saying about Cocker Spaniels. I had one I finally put down because he was becoming increasingly aggressive and untrustworthy, even tho' a thorough vet check including blood tests showed him to be in perfect health.
Heather K Yes, exactly. Pitbulls can be dangerous, but only in the wrong hands. It's the same with any dog. By the way, your dogs sound awesome. I have three small dogs, all rescues, and two are chihuahuas. They are some of the sweetest, well behaved dogs I've ever known, so you're absolutely right. It's the owner and not the breed.
CaptainEO420 Well, yes. With dogs like that, they are unpredictable, but it's not their fault. Someone else trained or abused and neglected them to be like that, so the dog will likely be unpredictable at first, and will remain that way IF the person who rescued them doesn't have the proper capabilities and resources to train the dog. If you can't handle a dog like that, that's completely understandable, as not everyone can get through to them. A lot of the time they need a very specific person as well as a specific place to live, and they might need special training. It's different with every dog, some can't be around children, some can't live with other dogs, some don't like cats. It all comes down to their experiences and how they reacted to them. But there are so many other rescues, and some of them will work for you. There are plenty that are not unpredictable and already well trained, and if you want to start new, there are are a lot of puppies too. You just have to keep looking.
Pit haters are so stupid. I've had my four pitbulls for 3, 7,10 and 11 years. They're all full pitbull and all rescues. Guess what, they're no better or worse than any other breed on the planet. I don't train them as guard dogs, they're house pets. Since I have had them there have never been any aggression, towards humans or dogs. Perhaps instead of opening your mouth, you should educate yourselves. Any dog that is not given a good environment (not enough affection or discipline) or just a whacked out environment, those are the dogs that have the propensity for aggression. Dogs don't belong tied up all day or left alone in a yard - that's where the aggression begins as well. But it's much easier for people to just say "kill them all" than actually being a responsible pet owner. If a dog attacks someone, it is not the dog's fault it is the owner's. Whether for not securing them, letting them run loose or allowing aggression to persist.
Pitbulls are awesome. If you aren't a jerk as an owner they are a great around kids because they don't mind it if you pull their tails or rough house a bit. Small dogs are usually less tolerant so can be more prone to bite.
what I hate the most if that 99% of the people saying Pit Buls are vicious dogs never had a Pit Bull or even know anybody that owns one. I used to be scared of pitbulls cause of media until I actually met someone that breeds pit bulls. In over 30 years he never had a problem with a pit bull and also he doesnt sell them to anybody. His kids were raised in the middle of 5/6 pit bulls and they were all great with them. Like any breed is born with a killing gene that is gonna be trigged at some point.
As a pit and pit mix owner, and have been for years, I can honestly say the most dangerous parts of a pit is the tail and tongue. However, I can promise you that if someone threatened me or my two kids, my pits would do everything they could to protect us.
I get daily visits from one of my neighbors pits, and she absolutely hates aggression. She will hide behind me if a belligerent dog comes up and wants to play with her in a dominant manner...
my pit mix who died of cancer would simply put them on the ground until they submitted and once they approached her the right way, they would play for hours with no issues
Good job Caesar! The ignorance of people is astounding. Many automatically label pitbulls as dangerous when they have in fact no proof of the claim because they have never been around them. I volunteered at an animal shelter for many years and never met an aggressive pitbull. They are physically strong but their true personality is loving. They are gentle giants. Thanks for trying to educate people about them.
My dog was behaving badly when she was 6 months old. I watched 2 seasons of Dog Whisper back to back and literally fixed her in a few days. She has been so well behaved for the last decade, that I am still amazed. I give full credit to Cesar's videos. My Shih Tzu even has one pit bull friend.
I’m sure Sweden is great. As a culture, they seem to have their act together in general. As for Americans, just take a stroll around your average Walmart in a mid to lower income area. Then ask yourself if you’re looking at a bunch of ultra responsible dog owners. You know the answer.
It saddens me to see all the people in the comments who rant on about "destroy the breed", and list the reasons they were initially created. Or bring up about dog fighting, the damage they can deal to someone/thing, or what you hear about on the news. These points, while all factual, are directed to the wrong problem. It's not the dog's fault. Mankind is the most destructive animal on the planet, and yet, so many millions of ignorant asshats all around the world place the blame on everything other then ourselves. I hope none of you have kids. Think about it. Your child can snap at any moment. Attack a school, rob some random elderly couple on the street, they could even go off on you. Turn on the hand that feeds them, the arms that hold them, and the people who love them. Your children look to you no different then your dog will. People that come on here and spew hatred towards an animal that simply looks for love and guidance like anything else in the world need to reevaluate themselves before ever getting into a position to teach anyone else anything about life, or ever spread an opinion on a public forum. They just make themselves look bad.
Nick Meyer Damn dude I couldn't have said it better myself people find reasons to hate PITTIES. PITBULLS are sweet gentle dogs it's the owner. Same with kids
I agree 100%!! humans are animals too!! Every living being has a different personality. Even your own family can turn on you! I do agree they are some agressive / dangerous pitbulls, but us humans have that too! Look at all the killers !! People are just afraid because they look different from us & because we don't "speak" the same language 😒 It all about trust.
Finding an apartment that allows any size and breed does not exist here I swear...Found one recently that allowed big dogs but "no aggressive breeds" and the lady's first example was "pitbull". Makes me so angry how ignorant people still are about dogs.
You're like, " ummm pitbull isn't even a breed". People see any muscular bully LOOKING type dog and it's a pitbull. Presa canario, cane corso, dogo argentino, bull mastiff, etc. All of these are generally confused and called "pitbulls" and the deeds some them might do get put on the staffys, Americans, and other pit bull terrier distinctions. Leading to innaccurate bite statistics, fear mongering and breed specific legislation and policies.
***** Thaaaaaat's my point. Those types of breeds get reported as "pitbulls" because most people can't tell the difference. So the actions of these dogs are blamed on breeds that in reality are not entirely, or perhaps even responsible for them. I'm not trying to claim that cane corsos, presa canarios and the like are not prone to being inherently more aggressive.
***** You're absolutely spot on. ALL bully type dogs are predisposed to being more persistent, fearless, athletic, strong, loyal, etc. I have always thought that to train these types of dogs for violence is so terrible because you're taking advantage of the fact that these dogs have an unreal need to please their owner. One of the best traits of many bully types is their love and trust of humans and to betray that is as low as it gets.
I was bit by pit, they banned them in the UK because there were a staggering amount of young children were being attacked by them. Not other breeds, pitbulls. In Wales, during the course of five years there was over 12,000 recorded pitbulls attacks, many children. So your telling me they are not dangerous? I've seen it fist hand, let me guess, it's all the owners fault
And since the ban dog bite stats has risen 76%... The most likely to bite breed has been identified as a lab... Since I have a lab, i can tell you that I believe the stats because if I didn't have him totally under control then his over excitement could easily lead to biting. It is the owner - Because too many people are allowed to easily purchase a large breed dog without any training or understanding of how to train or control the dog. Yes, with a large breed like the pit if they bite then unlike a small dog it's going to have consequences - and that, just like with my lab, is why the owner needs to know how to control the dog before they're allowed to have that kind of breed - license the owner, not the dog. I appreciate that you got bitten by a pitbull and therefore have a particular bias toward them, but if you're honest you'd also admit that you have the bias and have ignored all the rest of the facts about actual proven statistics and the failure of the dangerous dogs act
@Oliver Lloyd: The UK still has Staffordshire Terriers which are part of the Pit Bull family, and the UK statistics proove they are less dangerous to humans than many other breeds
i have a 6 year old pitt bull that is a baby. she doesnt have an agressive bone in her body. her and my daughter, who is also 6 grew up together, and she has never tried to hurt her, even when playing with the adults, she will lay down when Chelsea is near. she always has. all dogs have the potential to be agressive, its how you raise them. I wouldnt trade my pitt for any other breed of dog. hell my brother has a 130 lb. massive pitt bull who gets bullied by my sister's dachshund and my nieces shih tzu.. he will literally give up his bed for them, he will give up his toys and his bones to him. this is no different than racism.
Pit Bulls really are amazing dogs. It makes me so happy to see more and more people realizing that it's what is on the other end of the leash, not the dog itself. Pit Bulls are dogs. They are POWERFUL dogs. But so are Labrador Retrievers, German Shepherds, Great Danes, Huskies, Malamutes, and so many other beloved breeds of large dogs. Some people can't handle having a dog that is powerful, they don't know what they're doing, and that's when bad things happen. Also, some people train Pit Bulls (using their natural instinct to please people) to fight and do bad things. But you could really train any dog to do that, but bad people are drawn the pits because they are (falsely) portrayed as "aggressive killing machines". Anyone who has legitimate, hands-on experience with the breed knows that they are amazing dogs. I work at my local humane society, and the shelter is filled with pit bulls. I have been with the shelter for a while and am the one who works with these pits on a day to day basis, and I have NEVER been bitten by one. (However, I have been bitten by untrained Chihuahuas countless times). I also own a rescued Pit Bull and she is such a sweetheart. Never bitten anyone, would never hurt anyone. She was so traumatized due to abuse, fighting, and overbreeding in her past life. But she made a huge turnaround, and still loves people. In the words of Tia Torres "Despite all the pain he was in, despite what some HUMAN BEING did to him, he still loved people. You gotta love a pit bull." Doesn't it tell you something that one of the best dog trainers in the country, and the man known as the "Dog Whisperer", Cesar Millan, LOVES pit bulls? He has been around SO MANY, and he loves them with all of his heart and is a pit bull advocate. So many people who know nothing about the breed and don't have any real experience with them label them as bad because of what they have seen in the media. This ignorance and misguidance has led to death of so many innocent dogs. When the breed specific legislation laws went into effect in Denver, dogs were taken away from their loving families for no reason other than they were a pit bull. Family pets were put to death who had done nothing other than be a family pet. You don't have to like pit bulls to know how fucked up that is. It's the disregard for animal life. I recommend watching the thorough and factual document: Beyond The Myth. It's very educational, and very eye-opening. My main point here is that no dog, pit bull or not, is born aggressive. It's never the dog. It's the person on the other end of the leash. When will people finally point the finger at themselves, and not the dog? Stop the ignorance. Stop the suffering of innocent dogs due to ignorance.
As a pit owner, I hope people read your comment! I've had both chiuauahs and pit bulls (at the same time) all my dogs got regular excersise and socialization. This is KEY!! A bored dog can be destructive! If I missed a day....I always made up for it. No acception Grateful for my life buddies! Please look after your dogs! If you can't... Reach out to an animal shelter or a neighbour who can help. 👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦
Ok the Staffordshire bull terrier are Pittys Cousins, the American pit bull was a hybrid of bull dogs and terriers, they have had alot of uses over the last 300 or so years including blood sports but also as family baby sitters. No shit. Can fit into any environment. Staffordshire bull terriers have similar head but alot shorter legs and are alot more stocky build than the pit bull. These are my favorite dogs along with roman nose bull terriers. In the right hands there are all beautiful dogs... in the wrong hands... land sharks. Hope you love your service dog. Because im sure he loves you.
Just to be clear, there is no such dog as a "Pit Bull." Its a broad stroke term. Its similar to saying "car" and "truck." However, the umbrella term for these particular breeds is "Bully" breeds. This helps avoid the immediate mental correspondence people make with Michael Vick's dogs. Of course theres the APBT but I, personally, try to ease into abbreviating their breed. I do enjoy educating folks on the wonderful temperament bully breeds have, of course if treated/ raised well. Also, FYI, the American Temperament Testing Association (ATTA) found (through EXTENSIVE testing) bully breeds have far better temperaments than even the well known Golden Retriever. Anyway, I do enjoy the overwhelming love these dogs have. Take care everyone.
Cuz of his mentioning of Donald trump, watch old cheers episodes i did in 2016 and his name appears there too and that was the 80's it seems media subliminaly conditioned ya"ll for the insane orange
In India as well there is no ban on any dog breed, and Indians can make any dog breed social, as they themselves are very much social, there are pitbulls , rottweilers, etc in India and almost all of them are very social. Its depends on the owners how they raise their dog, and also how much social they themselves are.
I love Cesar, but...sigh....the other guy talks about how it's the little dogs that are more inclined to bite. Okay, but the little dog bites are not what are going to seriously deform and/or kill you. And yes, there are other large dog breeds that can do lots of damage, especially if placed in the wrong hands, but there does seem to be something unique about the size/power/tenacity of the jaws of the pit mixes that set them apart from the rest. I'm sure they can be quite loving, but I'd only like to see them owned by extremely educated, responsible, childless people.
One more thing: you can argue that their temperament is awesome when in the right hands, but even the kindest, most laid-back person can snap every now and then. What happens when a dog is sick, or stressed, or threatened in some way that its owners aren't even aware of? The problem is, if and when a dog with this kind of physical equipment "snaps," you could die. The blind faith people have in their pets is disturbing. I have two cats that I love more than anything, but I don't walk around thinking there won't come a day when one of them might do something out of character for whatever reason. At least I know I most likely won't be horrifically injured or die as a result.
But the dude wasn't arguing that little dogs are more likely to bite because of temperament. Rather, he was talking about it being how you treat the animal that makes it more likely to bite. If a small dog is treated like a human baby, it is put into a place of dominance and will be less likely to put up with other people touching it. You hand your dog over to a vet for a stay to recover, and you being the one that hands it over is supposed to be a sign of assurance to the dog - I trust this person, so you can trust them too. But since the dog is raised thinking that it is the leader, it believes that it is the wisest. And if you hand it over to someone, it seems like a careless action and now the dog has to look out for itself. Unfortunately with pit bulls, we have a vicious cycle. Incidents happen - that could happen with any dog - so pit bulls get a name for being all-around vicious. So, people who want a vicious, intimidating dog immediately look to which breed? The pit bull. They get the dog and they train it as a guard dog or they train it just, straight up poorly, depending on who we're talking about doing the adopting. More incidents happen because of this. The pit bull's name worsens. Rinse and repeat. People should be making informed decisions when they're deciding on a dog, that I can agree on. And I think checks should even be done, even in shelter adoptions, to make sure that the person who is adopting said dog can handle the breed that they're looking at.
P Walsh I understand what you are saying about pit bulls and the bigger breeds living with "childless" people if that child is an infant. The most loyal and affectionate dog I've ever owned was a pit named Tenner. After 4 years of owning him my wife became pregnant and sadly I had to sell Tenner. Not because he was aggressive. The wife bought a Pomeranian when Tenner was about 6 months old and he was as delicate as he possibly could be with that Pomeranian. She actually was more aggressive than he was. But I sold Tenner because I didn't want to take any chances of him leaping at the wife carrying the baby out of excitement or by some accident; not because I thought he may become violent. And I sold him, I did not give him away and the people I sold him too was a single mother with two children 6 and 8. We met them at a park, let them get to know each other first and made the transaction. That was 5 years ago and that lady and I still talk and Tenner has been the best friend in the world to her children. So I completely disagree with your statement that big dogs should only be with "childless" people. Tenner was raised in a gentle, loving home and that was his personality.
P Walsh Most laid back people do not "snap every now and then." At least that has not been my experience. Reading all your comments it appears you want to strictly regulate dog owners and their pets, to the point that if a person "snaps every now and then" that person should not own a specific breed and if people have children that can't own a dog over a certain weight limit or their breed has a bad history that has been perpetuated by cruel owners and/or bad PR. So what should we do? Exterminate millions of family pets because they're too big and/or around children?
All the dogs lumped into the Pit category have a weaker bite than most dogs. This has been measured and well documented. 235psi is the bite force of an American Pitbull Terrier. Puny compared to the 556psi of an English Mastiff or the 743psi of a Kangal, (Turkish sheep dog). Even American Bull Dogs and German Shepards bite harder than any of the Pit varieties.
Caesar's pit bull killed Queen Latifah's dog and attacked a girl. Now , by Caesar's own logic that makes him a bad owner and a bad trainer. We know objectively that's not true. He does not admit to any negligence in court. The next move for pit advocates is to blame the victim : They "somehow" provoked the dog into attacking them. This is a fallback excuse by people who have no idea at all how the incident happened. They just assume the dog "would never attack anyone". After that it's back to criticizing the owner , even though Caesar is a dog professional , they assume he didn't train his dog properly - which is absurd. Humans fail to think logically about this , relying on sentimentality , which is much more harmful than understanding the purpose & lineage of a breed. All dogs are not alike and it's foolish to believe fighting dogs are the same as non- fighting breeds.
Its not the dog. Its the owner. TRAIN UR DOG RIGHT. now me i have had NO experience with dogs be cause my grandma is allergic so i cant have one. but when im older im going to gain trust with either a pitbull or husky i love them both. hey maybe both. Cesar millan has taught me alot over the years of watching his shows.
+R5Wolfsarepawsome 0606 I will say this if you get a pitbull there are some that will not have other animals or small children around because of their temperaments and being yelled at in their faces and pulling their ears they will not put up with it. so have more of a chiller relaxation others will have that quick sharp "mess with me I am going to mess you up big time" I suggest when you do do your research about that pitbull like blue pits are more aggressive then others. Also ask question about their parents before getting a pit. Trust me there are a lot of people who throw pits breeds together just to have a center color and not care about the dog aggressiveness Also watch pitbull and parolees it will give you more in site on how to deal with pits. Yes Cesar Millan is a good dog trainer but he is no expert in a center breed I know Jr his lead dog is a pit but he most likely got him as a puppy so he had to time to train him. But when you have a full grown pit from any type of abuse or "Fighting" type it will take a longer for them to get use to the way of your time and training.
Lunalightqueen A pit bull won't be my first choice cuz they are so rough and I need some exprince with a less tougher dog at first. I'm going for a husky there not as tough and I Love huskies. And I love the show Pit bulls and parolees. And u might think I'm crazy for saying this but if I have the right amount of knowledge and training... I would LOVE to adopt and save a wolf. I have seen videos of other people with wolves and they behave really well. Cuz unlike dogs,Wolves don't look for the human to do things for them. They do it them selves. I have learned so much about wolves.
no quite honestly I don't think so I love wolves my self. But pits is my number one favor breed. Yes they can be rough but it matter of time and knowing how to and doing it are two different things. wolves are like you said do it them selves but there is still that human interaction that is needed for a wolves to stay friendly towards humans.
I've had nothing but pitbulls for about 15 year now. Three of them to be exact. My best buddy passed away about two years ago after a decade of good times. Yes they can be dangerous but that all depends on the owner. I have found my pits to be extremely sweet, loving, playful, and loyal. The only part that I have had trouble with is that they can be very protective of the family. There have been a few occasions in which my pits have tried to attack a person that enters my property if i'm not there. But i have signs set up that say beware of dog.
I hate it when people have those little yapping dogs that bite everybody... They think that shits cute with a 5 pound Chihuahua but when a big ole pitbull or rotty bites someone everyone trips
Kelly Engle Of course I'd have been maimed had it been a pitbull. But it never was because all the big dogs I've met were well trained and quiet. A dog's temperament is all the owner. For instance, toy dogs are usually spoiled rotten, hence their biting more often. My point is, any dog can bite -- the differences between those who do and who don't are the training and the owner.
Thats because when a small dog bites you need a band-aid.......when a pit bull bites you may need a body bag. I love all dogs but check how many die each year from pit bulls. It doesn't matter if its the owners fault the dog breed is consistently linked to deaths and sever injury every year. I know there are many good pb's but the problem is people are dying every year bc of this breed. Lets be honest too......many pb's turn on their good owners. Check into it this is no lie. The real problem is people putting animals before humans. Many have said there pb wouldn't hurt a fly and then they end up in the pound when someone gets hurt or some die.
Ive actually had stand offs with big pits. If youre truely not afraid and know you WILL have to put the animal down bare handed they usually know it. This sounds horrible but i have to think of my safety, my animals safety and my familys safety. Ive been bitten 3 times in my life (that are mentionable). Once in the calve by a jack russel, in the arm pit by a neighbors pointer as a child and once through the palm trying to seperate a dog fight ( looking back my fault completely by my own actions). Ive repoed for a living and the worst ive had a pit do was hump my leg scratching my thighs up because the owner didnt trim the ol boys nails. Pits are just like any other dog. Dogs can like you to death or bite you to death and it all depends on their upbringing. Only dogs that even make me the bit nervous are wolf hybrids and thats purely cause of how smart they are.
I really wished the statistics were addressed. 51% of attacks and over 60% of fatalities were from Pit Bulls, which are 6% of dogs owned. About 250 people die each year, not including the thousands of survivors mauled. Tell them they should've been safe.
Fear drives a lot of people to find reasons to hate :/ Sad when it happens to dogs, sad when it happens to fellow humans, and sad when it happens to anything. Luckily a lot of us are above it!
talking about small dogs and getting away with things it alot different being bit by a Chihuahua and being bit by a pitbull. it's not what they do do it's what they can do like the difference between a nuclear bomb and a grenade which would you rather have going off in your city.
+jon “the squirrel” Clark i have a pitbull and my mother has a chihuahua. Over christmas all my pitbull wanted to do was play with that chihuahua, and the little dog would get mad and attack my pitbull. My dog never once got aggressive, even when the little chihuahua was going insane on him. Dogs should be evaluated as individuals. Besides people are MURDERERS, WE KILL EACH OTHER. Should we all be locked up from birth?
+Tyler Steen Ceratinly hope you call the attention of the owner of the dog that is snapping at your dog - it is NOT funny nor cute and the idiotic owners are setting their pets up for a tragedy. One should never allow any agression towards ones' dog nor permit other people's dogs to molest and bother ones dog! ((*_*)
Tara Leesa Davis Always. I walk my dogs away (although they usually prefer to leave themselves), and let the; typically woman on the phone, that her dog is creating an issue and walk away.
jon Clark the person who made that post was implying that in his/ her opinion the smaller dogs are more likely to snap. (As for your grenade/ nuke analogy I won't even dignify that with a response). Please take some time to look at statistics instead of believing everything you see on 5 minute yt videos, thanks in advance....
Been reading these comments and watching other videos about PITTIES being such bad dangerous that dogs. All I have been seeing is the BAD BAD BAD PART of PITBULLS! It's the media with all its ONE SIDED BS! For those RESPONSIBLE PITBULL owners thank you for agreeing with me that PITBULLS are the best most sweetest dogs! It's the owner NOT the breed.
So you are saying 60+% of all owners in america abuse their dogs? If there was that many bad owner you would expect other dog breeds to attack more as well. They make up 6% of the population and attack more than 50% of all other dogs breeds.
Not the owners, the criminals that have guns are the problem. They focus on guns instead of who uses them in crimes. Same for the Pit Bull, poorly raised by their owner they are a strong dog and can be dangerous. Properly raised they are great loving dogs.
+jamx97 Pitbulls don't turn on their owners. They are great dogs. Let me say first, I've never owned one, my friends have them. I have a Dogo Argentino. As said in this video, the issue comes down to that they are now a 'fad', there are a lot of them out there and a lot that are not properly trained. They are not socialized with people, children, dogs, animals, etc. Most get tied up in a yard, locked in a house, whatever. These can be a problem, but it is the same if it was a poodle, they become unpredictable because they don't have a pack, they need a leader. What I would like you to do is search on UA-cam for 'pitbull rescue' and see how abandoned pitbulls can be. Thanks.
+Born Lucky not sure what you are talking about, 'baby's killing their mothers', what? When you drive your car, you are responsible for operating it, if you are not attentive, you may kill someone, that's your fault, not the car. Each day approximately 11 teenagers die from texting and driving. That's approximately 4,000 per year. It is not the fault of the car or the phone. We as a free society have law abiding citizens and we have criminals. We have rights as law abiding citizens, criminals will always be there and also, accidents will happen, with guns, etc, but those accidents are no where near the thousands upon thousands that occur by other means such as drunk drivers, people texting and driving, etc
Me, too. When I was little, my great aunt had a little young dachshund, named Hannah, and a big doberman, named Ruger. Being little and cute, Hannah got away with everything as a pup, and, I was afraid of her because she was fast, yappy, and possessive. Now, on the rare occasion Ruger did something bad, he got locked upstairs for ten minutes, because he was seen as more of a problem because he a big hunting dog, and Ruger was the gentlest giant I had ever met. One time, I got a bad kidney infection and my aunt took care of me at her house during the day, as my parents had just fired my babysitter (another good dog story). The whole time I was there, Ruger never left my side. Hannah? She couldn't care less. There you go. It really is the owner, not the dog.
Yeah my pit has killed a stuffed rabbit. And she has attacked me with her tail wagging a few times and left bruises, but I'm not 80 years old so I can take it. Now my toy poodle is the one that you gotta watch for in my house.
Pitbulls are loyal and athletic and are perfect to train for fighting which sadly people do...but yet we end up blaming the pittbull idk but I had pitbulls all my life and until u have one u will see how misunderstood these beautiful dogs are but if u are sceptical about it I understand since u are receiving what the media pushes towards u.
This man is 100% right. You can't blame a dog because the owners don't take the time to train THIER dogs or train them to be aggressive. I have had three dobermans and I have trained them and I would trust them with my heart and soul. They are loyal, protective and forever trustworthy.
I really feel sorry for someone who has nothing fulfilling to do with his life so he spends all his time trolling pit bull videos in order that he post inane negative comments in order to stir the pot. Why would someone who admittedly hates dogs go to every pit bull video on youtube?! Doesn't make sense. It is indicative of some sort of mental disorder. Dan J - please just go away! Find something worthwhile to do with your time.
I've always hated pitbulls until I came across an half grown female pitbull. Chased me all the way on my bicycle just to give me a hug. I fell in love instantly watching that happy face.
my opinion on the matter is precisely the same its us that need to change not the dogs like here is my story on why i was terrified of my own pitty it was two years ago that we bought our dog Drake now the mother and father of Drake were vicious pitties they literaly tore a two men to pieces and the incident ended up in the news paper now because of these transgressions i was afraid of my baby pitty but after i swallowed my fear and started perfoming a few of ceasers techniques my dog never ever attacked anyone and never wanted to either and its because of this enlightning experience that i say its not the breed but humans that shape what the dog turns into if your dog becomes a man eating mongrull then it was your fault own up to it and fix the issue as soon as it starts
I've rescued 2 pit bulls, one right off the street and one the night before they were going to put her down. She failed their so called attitude test. I don't know how she did that, She's the most loving dog I have ever had. And as far as the male, he bites my wife in the butt when she doesn't get him a treat fast enough when she gets home. When she scolds him he laughs at her and so do I!! Its hilarious! He gets the biggest smile on his face. They know when they've been rescued, and they show it everyday!
3:20 This couldn't be any weirder. He mentions Oprah and Donald Trump and this was 7 years ago, and look who is in the news today? Maybe Cesar is really the "President Whisperer"?
I used to be afraid of pitty's until my neighbour adopted one. One look at her bright eyes and goofy grin and my fear vanished. I'm now the owner of a red nose boy and the 2 dogs are buddies for life.
There are far to many people that are just pure lazy, they go out buy a dog because it looks cute and then expect their dog to train itself. same kind of people that have children and expect them to educate themselves. A dog needs structure and education just as much or even more so then a child. Theres alot of hard work that is done in order to be a good parent to a child or a dog that so many ignorant people dont realise, its not just as easy as it looks. Children without proper parenting and structure grow up to be thugs because they know no other way of life, same as dogs. The perfect home for a well balanced dog is the same perfect home for a well balanced child. Humans are always the problem, especially if they think its easy bringing up and being responsible for another beings life. I wish Police or government had the power to pick out a thug with any kind of dog and if they have been in trouble with the law before with anything related to animal offences, then they should have their animal taken away from them and have them thrown in jail or procecuted in some form. If your a good owner then you should be allowed to own what ever breed you like and not have to worry about your baby being taken away from you because of some stupid ban.
+Leroy Jenkins The thing is though that dogs who were bred for protection, fighting or warfare retain genetic traits associated with those functions. Similar to a sheep dog instinctively knowing its role. So in reality the level of training, leadership and responsibility needed is far greater. Im not saying OMG pits are sooo aggressive, Im saying some instincts need to be kept in check. Of course you know this but what I mean to say is that people really dont understand what they are getting into. There isnt enough education on dog training in general, let alone training that requires a fair amount of daily commitment. People are ignorant. Also people seem to think their dogs are always the gentlest sweetest creatures ever created... but dogs are predatory animals first and foremost. Without leadership dogs can behave somewhat instinctively, assumptions like this have lead to nearly all the tragedies involving pitbulls. Just because your dog is a teddy bear with you and familiar people does not mean they will behave that way with strangers when there is no guidance. Special training required for sure!
Cesar talks about other breeds doing what they are bred to do... except for pitbulls.
Pit bulls are not bred to be violent. That’s a gigantic misconception.
Exactly my god people are the reason why this society is going going to crap
Lieutenant Prick I have 2 rescued pit bulls that were taking from dog fighting so retract ur statement ur stereotyping
Most people should not be parents to humans that they “raised” they are in Kensington philly on heroin
"In... Sweden... They don't believe in banning breed."
"...they're just going to make sure they educate the people."
First Sweden gives us the Swedish Chef, then IKEA and Swedish meatballs, then Opeth and other fantastic metal bands from there, and finally they don't ban breeds and they actually educate the masses to get the facts straight? Please let me fast forward in life to where I migrate to Sweden!
Don't forget zlatan or should i say zlatan gave us Sweden
Hollis Pierman The laws have changed, I tried to leave a link but UA-cam's not letting me for some reason. You can always google it if you want to.
A portion of this, I suspect, has to do with immigration from places where dog fighting is more popular and accepted and thus people feel the laws have to change.
+Hollis Pierman (sonicfan7895) Im not sure were Cesar got his information from, but its not true... I see "thugs" with aggressive pitbulls everyday in Sweden lol
+Anita W leave spaces in the link
neejneejneej At least the Swedes are less aggressive about dog-fighting than us 'Muricans. lol
Dustin Tacohands Same with my Winnie dog xD
ive had one he was great with people and really gentle, he was extremely agileand could climb really high, he was great, dog aggressive though

@@bradthegigachad7120 Pitbull fanboys: "but but but it's the owner, it has nothing to do with the dog".
Pitbulls are like guns. They are dangerous in the hands of the person.
30stmFantasy I agree I don't believe there's bad dogs just bad dog owners.
_'If you were bitten by a Chihuahua, it's because you're foolish enough to trust a dog simply because it's small.'_
Nope.
Stephanie, "It's the owner not the breed," yes the malignant dumb owner brings the mauler into the community.
I have nothing agaisnt pits so dont attack me for saying thst
good luck trying to educate the type of people who want pitbulls to make them feel tough for having a tough looking dog
ThePenatron o
Brian Richner just my opinion, I don't think thepenatron was trying to offend a person such as yourself. Your probably looking to rescue your dog, and have a companion and friend. There are some though that do want a " muscle dog" cause it makes them look tough, and that is the wrong reason to buy or rescue, again my opinion.
Brian Richner Then why didn't you rescue a cat? Or a cocker spaniel or poodle?
Jensen Interceptor
Because Cocker Spaniels and Poodles are fucking ugly. Cats are boring. There are millions of pit bull type dog breeds in need of a home so chances are higher that you'll adopt one of them (plus they're visually appealing).
ThePenatron Thank you for being smart

Because someone wasn't responsible and raised the pitbull wrong.
Pitbulls are the best breed in the world hands down, they can do any task. Top dog.
Yeah, like killing people and other dogs...they are the best.
+Alex Guevara Marulanda That's a laugh. You have to be dominant with dogs or they will do that no matter what breed it is.
+Alex Guevara Marulanda Try me I have a come back for whatever you dish out.
"Should people be able to own a pet that has the capacity to kill a human?"
Yes. We already own guns, cars, knives, and other exotic animals that can kill with a tiny bite. Your logic is flawed. Try again.
Pit Bulls are not violent or aggressive, we have a 3 year old 65 lb female pit (back ground: from a bad home where she was bullied by another female pitbull, when she first got to that home...bitten, food stolen...then realized 'hey I'm stronger' and kicked the others ass bad, then was kept caged or locked in a room and not fed regularly)
we've had her a month, discipline, rules, excersise, affection and she's fine...loves to play and meet other dogs, love kids.
we took her to a state park memorial day, tons of people, tons of dogs. an irresponsible owner brought an aggressive dog, knew it was aggressive...told us so and then let it's leash loose and it lunges and bit my pit locking on its nose, I released slack to let her defend herself knowing she can fight. the other owners pulled their dog back...and my Pit did not attack she whelped from the bite then stood by my side even though she had slack to attack back..then I pulled back the leash to keep her close not wanting to intentionally escalate.
You should have reported that owner of the vicious dog to the Police!! ((*_*)
i know but at the time I wanted to first make sure she was ok and then just enjoy the day...
Now I know that dogs can die from infection within hours from a bite. So yah if that ever happens again, cops, vet and I'll kick the other dog in the neck and crush its esophagus :D
Mr. E. blah blah blah. let us know when ur pit attacks its first child.

Thank you! got any vids/pics of your pitt, you hit that on the head...they are sweet dogs if treated properly.
How’s that going today ?
He is very smart man. I learned a lot from his videos.
me too i bought some roller blades to make my pitbull runs and he loves it

He uses those to train them not abused them like other human beings do so it's not abuse
@Tyler Steen
There's a difference between a dog less than 10lbs nipping at you and breaking the skin AND a dog just under 100lbs mauling you and eating you.
Tyler Steen
Yes. Dogs attack when they are scared, so something has to scare them. The abuse and neglect inflicted on pitbulls is something that would scare anyone. That's why little dogs are so aggressive, they are scared of everything.
ekahnoman
You don't say, huh?
They are different, but they should be treated the same. They should both be trained NOT to do that.
@Life is a highway I guess that makes me a car crash
You obviously didn't get my point. My point was, there's a reason why people are afraid of pitbulls and why they may get banned somewhere. They're only 6% of the dog population, yet they're responsible for 68% of attacks and 52% of deaths. They were bred throughout history to be fighting dogs and hunting dogs. It's in their blood.
ekahnoman
Actually, it's not in their blood.
I feel instead of banning Pitbulls the owners should carry a special license to have them. As a matter that goes for any powerful breed.
like a special license showing that they are educated and know how to control them, and that the dog has been trained.
In the very least. Also they should be legally required to be muzzled in public. Canadian bsl laws have also been effective.
That's a good idea but, it's hard to regulate stupid people. This is why blanket laws exist.
In fact, “Pete the Pup,” the children’s friend from the old TV series “Our Gang,” was a pit bull."

was this before his pitbulls mauled several people or after?
when i was 12 i used to volunteer at the local animal shelter, there was a specific row of cages that held pitbulls in them.

10 bites from a small dog or 1 bite from a pitbull? Pick one.
***** Shut yo bitch ass up fool
Wrong! Unstable garbage dogs.
if a pitbull is so dangerous and cant be trained why are there excellent service dogs that are pitbulls?
+Anna Danielson Well said!! ((*_*)
absolutely they make the best therapy dogs,
I owned my pitbull from the time I was 12 until I was about 22. He was the nicest dog ever. He looked mean and would run away all the time. I always found him playing with kids, he loved kids. He was the only dog that was I knew friendly with all the mailman. When I was 15, my sister was born and he was so protective of her. Always watching out for her. My sister loved him. We also had a small Maltese that my sister was afraid of because she would bite.
idk why do many kill children and other pets?
Why do people kill adults, children and pets?
All dogs deserve a chance. I don't care what anyone says. I love pitbulls and I always will.
donnadong2 Well if all dogs deserve a chance, then black people deserve self-determination in all things; community control of our own schools, our owned banks our own hospitals our own supermarkets even our own law enforcement and not be called "reversed racist" but Chinatown, Little Italy little Cuba little Puerto Rico little Ireland little Poland Little Germany little Greece, little Armenia, little Albania, little Russia, Koreatown, so on and so forth, they're never called reverse racist! 😤
r s j why are you commenting that on something that has nothing to do with race?
Juan Lopez Sorry kiddo, every gotdamn thing has something to do with race, including race soldier hellhounds like pit bulls! 😤
r s j it never had to do something with race. Never. Yeah, You probably have low iq or self esteem.
r s j You sound like a total fucking idiot, do you know that?
Thank you.
My pitbull is really obidient, but he has a strong predatory instinct, and I think if he had the chance, he would snap a cat in two.
I've seen cats who were straight up boss around dogs. LOL! I've seen my friends cats give a dog a look, and immediately the dog backs up, hahaha!
My cousins cat terrorized my neighbors bull mastiffs
P.s the cat only weaghs 20 pounds the dog weaghs 103 pounds
My pit killed many a cat.

Sorry I meant unconditionally love you, oops I just really mad
thank you they are good dogs with the right owners
Amen Angel...
What about those that are good family pets and later become aggresive suddenly?
Artist Frank and what about those that have killed children, their owners? Why do they do it. And yes I've heard it's not the breed but why would they do it if they were perfectly loyal liked you guys make them sound?
My mother is a veterinarian and I work as a vet Tech we know plenty about Pit bulls .Most of the Pitbulls I have been around have been great .But one day our family pit snapped and tore my mom's hand apart. He had been a great well trained dog up until then .Any dog can have a bad Day but when a pit bull has a bad day everyone involved has a bad day.
I hate people that see a pitbull been aggressive and think that all pitbulls are mean
Kind of Ironic based on what just recently happened with Queen Latifah
i like Cesar, i watch his show every Saturday with my pug! Thank you Cesar!
very calming and positive person! God bless!
It's true, my dachshund mix is a bit of a dick while my GSD x Rottweiler is incredibly gentle and it's all to do with training and proper socializing.
Alexei Ramotar your dash cant crush a humans throat with its mouth.
So can a St. Bernard
Amen, exactly right!
Apart from them
being unpredictable, many don’t know how to handle the breed.
Heather Kp
I know what you're saying about Cocker Spaniels. I had one I finally put down because he was becoming increasingly aggressive and untrustworthy, even tho' a thorough vet check including blood tests showed him to be in perfect health.
Heather K
Yes, exactly.
CaptainEO420
Well, yes.
You are missing the fundamental question...
"Should people be able to own a pet that has the capacity to kill a human?"
END GAME
SixOfNine yes
Hahaha, my pitbull broke a glass window on a cabinet with her tail. lol
BleedFromWithin7 Damn, now yours is a vicious pit. One of my pit's wagged her tail so hard that she broke it on the edge of the dresser.

Damn. lol ouch
I can trust a pit bull as long as I have my shotgun at the ready
Dog killer
I’m sure Sweden is great. As a culture, they seem to have their act together in general. As for Americans, just take a stroll around your average Walmart in a mid to lower income area. Then ask yourself if you’re looking at a bunch of ultra responsible dog owners. You know the answer.
"What happened to his money?" He is too nice of a guy to tell us that his ex-wife and the producers might be better able to answer that question.
Nick Meyer I call bullshit. The argument that it's not the animals fault the owner's fault is bullshit that argument works with firearms
Balls Mcgee dumbass
Nick Meyer u are 100% right but most pitbattacks arent from real pits but othe bully breeds. And the real american pitbull is animal aggressive
My girlfriend has a pitbull and she's so happy and playful and sweet
Love how he mentions Donald Trump as a great leader. This is in 2011. Amazing how views change when he runs for office.
Just curious what home owners insurance company do you pit owners use? And is it expensive?
I really love this man his methods truly help me to help a lot of dogs and people
You "alpha roll" dangerous dogs?
I was bit by pit, they banned them in the UK because there were a staggering amount of young children were being attacked by them. Not other breeds, pitbulls. In Wales, during the course of five years there was over 12,000 recorded pitbulls attacks, many children. So your telling me they are not dangerous? I've seen it fist hand, let me guess, it's all the owners fault
I think then the UK should start banning muslims.
You are exactly RIGHT. These guys are FOS. Trying to sell BS to Fools dumb enough to listen to them.
Nomad -81- Yes they should Europe and the UK is going to turn into the Middle East nothing but Muslims.
I have heard of family pitties got old and just randomly mauling the family
You gotta love a pit bull."
Doesn't it tell you something that one of the best dog trainers in the country, and the man known as the "Dog Whisperer", Cesar Millan, LOVES pit bulls?
No acception
Grateful for my life buddies!
Please look after your dogs!
If you can't...
Reach out to an animal shelter or a neighbour who can help. 👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦
My service dog is a Staffordshire bull terrier. (Pit Bull)
princessaz79 hey! Ours too!
they are not pitbulls
Salion I'm pretty sure they are from the pitbull category
This was uploaded in 2011?
Karuminu2 this comment was from last year?
THIS RANDOM STUFF lmao
Cuz of his mentioning of Donald trump, watch old cheers episodes i did in 2016 and his name appears there too and that was the 80's it seems media subliminaly conditioned ya"ll for the insane orange
John Smith how pocahontas doing John?
bLaZe2CrAcK i am dutch so thank god not my president..and ofcourse i knew him that was my whole point
All dogs are not alike and it's foolish to believe fighting dogs are the same as non- fighting breeds.
queen latifah literally waited until his dog died until she spoke out then the case was dropped
Cesar quotes: "Aggression comes from the outcome."
I. Am 11 years and I have pit bull and I am fine
Good to hear
I am so sorry for you
Well that settles it.
CheezyDonut you ain't never looked a purtty little pot belly in the eye and just wonder what could of been... maaaaan
Nooooo, you must have been eaten by now. Are you sure you are OK??? You are not a ghost by chance are you? LOL
The man has an instinctive practical understanding of the natures of people and animals. His simplistic and practical methods are to be applauded.
Cesar is a living legend.
+R5Wolfsarepawsome 0606 its not the serial killer fault its his parents even though he had a good life
I did some research and found out that puppies take after there parents
So true. The only dogs that have ever bit me have been toy dogs -.-
Kelly Engle Of course I'd have been maimed had it been a pitbull.
Apple head Chihuahuas have killed 0 people ever. Shitbulls kill 20-30 people a year. Know your enemy.
I really wished the statistics were addressed. 51% of attacks and over 60% of fatalities were from Pit Bulls, which are 6% of dogs owned. About 250 people die each year, not including the thousands of survivors mauled.
Tell them they should've been safe.
Fear drives a lot of people to find reasons to hate :/
Sad when it happens to dogs, sad when it happens to fellow humans, and sad when it happens to anything.
Luckily a lot of us are above it!
I love you Cesar. And pit bulls are my favorite breed. They are kinder and sweeter than most humans!
❤️❤️❤️
Are they fuck
talking about small dogs and getting away with things it alot different being bit by a Chihuahua and being bit by a pitbull. it's not what they do do it's what they can do like the difference between a nuclear bomb and a grenade which would you rather have going off in your city.
+jon “the squirrel” Clark Neither would go off in the proper hands.
Goatse-sama The anime is great the drink not so much. How about you try it and let me know how it tastes.
ceaser is amazing, and i'm so thankful for the work that he does. i prefer dogs over cats any day
Guys I have two pitbulls and there gas hurts me 😮😮
This guy is a great therapist for humans.
Same with guns. Owners need more training
Not the owners, the criminals that have guns are the problem. They focus on guns instead of who uses them in crimes. Same for the Pit Bull, poorly raised by their owner they are a strong dog and can be dangerous. Properly raised they are great loving dogs.
+elkbow But a gun doesn't turn on his owner or another person. Pitbulls do. Guns are only as bad as the person using them.
***** Proof that it's the owner and not the breed.
I blame the owner
Vk519 And that owner and breeder is white supremacy itself! 😤
r s j wht bout Michael Vick.
Vk519 along with every other delusional person
thank u Cesar for ur passion against breed bans
Pit bulls are amazing dogs. I was educated maybe those who are against them need to be too.
Lesley Gulliford-Turnbull actually this video showed up on my suggested videos list and I fucking hate pitbulls they can all go to hell
Balls Mcgee why do you hate them though? What’s your reasoning?
Nice run-on sentence. Now,...what did he say?
I don't know, it was all bullshit anyways lol
Erik Britz LOL
Leroy Jenkins I couldn't agree with you MORE! BAN THE BSL or BULLSHIT LEGISLATION! You are absolutely right! FINALLY SOMEONE WHO GETS IT!
