I'm a police officer and my wife has been a state licensed daycare provider for 25 years. I've rescued many Pitties. They love the kids and the kids love them. The parents are always shocked when they learn the TRUTH about this amazing breed. When they're not the product of bad breeding, raised right, and treated well with respect care and love they'll be loyal and love people to no end. Sadly, I can't say the same for humans!
Thank you both for what you do
Dealing with humans isn’t always easy
@emilyfeagin2673 Appreciate the support. It isn't, and it gets tougher by the day. Being a poor white kid and living in the projects, I had a lot of exposure to a lot of things as a child, so that actually benefited me in that respect. As well as a lot of social service experience. My stance on teachers, childcare providers, healthcare providers, and anyone dealing in human services is that they're priceless and often underappreciated and underpaid. My stance on Policing is that there should be a national pre-requisite for officers to have a minimum of 2 years of valid social service experience prior to entering the field and bonus points for additional years. I believe that would change law enforcement drastically for the better. Take care, and stay safe & well. -Jerow
Couldn't have said it better. Humans could learn so much from this breed.
Amen!!!
I loved my pittie, but they’re still temperamental and can be unpredictable. Great dogs, but they were bred for a purpose.
The pitbull is the best dog. There is never a dull moment with one. My pitbull was the best friend you could ever want. He was in my life for over 15 years. I was so lucky to have him. I now have 2 rescues that are pit bull mixes. When I can give another one a good life I'll help another one.
Thank you to everyone for the incredibly kind words and to GeoBeats for giving us the opportunity to share Koby’s story! Koby is such an important part of our lives and we could not picture our life without him! #AdoptDontShop
I know pitbull breeds. If you raise them right, love them and treat them like family, you will have the best dog ever! Its just like any animal you have. Its all about the human doing their part. You are very blessed to have him! He is beautiful! Hugs & kisses from me. I love pitties! I love most animals! Blessings to your family! ❤️
you are so lucky pit bulls unlike what people think are the BIGGEST babies in body and soul, they need love all the time its tiring at times, but i wouldnt trade my baby Rocky my stratfordshire pit for NO ONE on this world he is my best friend and i do evrything for him everything, im the lucky one
Awesome story, what an amazing 🐕.
Love you for what you do ❤.
❤️ Pitties are absolutely given an unfair bad rap. Sure all dogs have natural behaviors, including aggression in them. However, almost all overly aggressive behavior was taught to them or allowed to develop unchecked. Pits are loyal, protective including of other dogs, and so loving. People are the problem not the breed.
I rescued a blue nose pit from a back yard breeder when he was 14 months old.I've had him for 9 months now and he's getting better, but still very skittish and scared of his own shadow. The first 3 nights I had him I slept on an air mattress n my living room because I couldn't get him to go n my bedroom. He's come a long way and I luv him with all my heart. He's showing his lovable side more, and I just eat it up!!❤❤❤
@@zammmerjammeryou do realize that any dog is capable of snapping and kill you without warning, right? And you're being nuance in the comments by harassing anyone that posts something positive about bully breeds by posting headlines because you think it makes your argument that much more valid.
@@jax_08 "any dog is capable" but only one type of dog DOES over and over again.
Facts don't care about your feelings.
The sort of pitbull propaganda in this video GETS PEOPLE KILLED.
No such thing as a blue nose pitbull. That's An American bully term. Pitbulls pure bred don't produce blue coats
@zammmerjammer Huskies are more prone to snapping and are proven to be able to cause far more damage than a pitbull can. They also have a strong percentage share in deaths of young children. Of course, this is the media's fault, because they make false info about animals that make a breed seem very safe and nice, only for it to get many many kids killed
That’s a wonderful rescue. I’ll bet he loves you with all his heart too!
I have a rescue pit and he is the most lovable thing I have ever met. I got him at about 6 months. He’s about 9 now and the sweetest and most affectionate animal I’ve ever met. I installed cameras in my house to protect him. He wouldn’t ever even defend himself. My things can be replaced but he could never be replaced.
Amen!
Rescue pit = mutt
I'm glad you are a good pet parent. All life deserves love and protection. I feel the same way about my cat Kimba. He is the love of my life. 💕💕
@@maddogsenglishmen8020 Most of them are but sadly they label them as pit which makes it difficult to find people willing to adopt them. My first rescue they said was a lab and when I get his file, he was clearly listed as a pit and you can tell just by looking at him. Its sad they have to try to avoid saying the word pitbull to get them adopted out.
Koby couldn't have asked for a better life! You guys make a beautiful family.
He is so gorgeous. When he came running in the boxer outfit, I lost it with laughter. He is a perfect fit for your family. Thank you for giving him a forever home.
The boxer outfit is fantastic! Put a big grin on my face.
Haha yes that outfit was too cute
We love our pit bull! She is the sweetest dog I've ever met and YES, we were not aware of the amount of cuddles they need. Bed hog, pillow hog and blanket hog! ❤
Total space invaders! I have 3! One of them laying on my feet right now because she's gotten too big to sit in the recliner with me! 😂😂
I hear ya! Our 1st 2 would pile up on my husband in the recliner from the foot rest to his armpit…he loved it! Would have been a great Lane commercial. We actually bought a king bed so we’d all have room to spread out…what were we thinking…Bobby had the right edge, the bulldogs had the middle, from his back as a pillow, across the entire bed to me on the left edge on the receiving end of all those power kicks from their dreams!!! At times I wondered if they were trying to kick me, literally, out of the bed! This began 40yrs ago & continues today. I should have bought stock in Lane & Serta.🐾🐾🐾🐾
My Am Staff (Pit bull) behaves just like yours….and she is so full of ENERGY ….SHE’S KEEPING ME ME SHAPE 👍😂😂😂 she loves to “root’” up all the blankets in bed as well and lays on them looking out the window so she can bark at any neighborhood dogs walking by. She loves our family but hates other dogs walking by 🫢 she stands up on me with those loving eyes telling me she needs a walk and she licks me all the time and and I have to beg her to stop. She is a ball of energy and love ❤️!

So……. Let’s all get along?!
As a fellow dog lover, I agree that dogs emotions show on their faces.
The reason is because they have eyebrows and so us as humans can read their facial expression, it’s what made it more likely that we domesticated wolves because they can change their expression, they have done studies on it.
Especially when they have been naughty. The look of guilt is unmistakable.
The pitties emotions and facial expressions are the closest to human emotions of all dogs.. it's absolutely adorable.
Cats too. I think it's true for most species.
I have had so many dogs I have loved to tears. But when we got 3 pit bulls, they absolutely tore my heart to shreds with their sweetness and total adoration of us. We lost two, and I have never cried so hard for a pet. They are like 5 yr old children. All 3 were rescues. They are like Angels in a dog suit!
Pit bulls were considered one of the best family dogs up until about the 70’s when pit fighting blew up in popularity. The people in that “industry” damaged the reputation of this breed probably forever. Any dog can be taught to be aggressive and potentially dangerous if you enforce wreckless behavior in them.
@@aeromedical6776The exact same thing has happened before with the Rottweiler, German Shepherd, and Doberman. If I had to guess I would say the next in line would be Belgian Malinois. It's a fear fad.
Thank you for rescuing this beautiful, gorgeous, amazing lovely, sweet, wonderful, cute, adorable dog!🥰🐕🥰
I had a pit bull when I was young. He was the most gentle and intelligent dog I’ve ever had. If I cried, he would get tears in his eyes too. It was like he looked right into my soul. Absolutely incredible dogs ❤️❤️
Responsible for 60% of all human fatalities
They are a genetic defect and should be removed from Earth s
Absolutely..pitties emotions and facial expressions are the closest to human emotions of all dogs.
You never owned a real pitbull. You couldn't handle one
These are " real " pitbulls, and they remind me of my last 2 dogs and the vast majority of the dogs I worked with at the shelter I volunteered at for 9 years. Twenty two of us adopted pitbulls from there and some adopted 2. Not sure about your experience with this breed but I m sorry. Please remember that in the early 1900's they were known as Nanny dogs, and during WWl they were the breed used for search and rescue( GSDs) were used for combat, not pits.
@bethwasserman2882 you purchase a pitbull...you rescue a mutt mislabeled as a pitbull. Pitbulls have bloodlines and pedigree.
So loving those ears! How adorable. And those darling soulful eyes.
It's why I really dislike when people crop/cut their dogs ears. I mean LOOK at how expressive & silly they are, why would anyone not want that??
I was thinking those ears can pick up a can opener 3 counties away!
You guys are wonderful people to provide this dog with a loving home. I’m a fellow Long Islander, too!
Best dogs ever! I’ve been around hundreds of different t types of dogs volunteering at animal shelters throughout my life, and the American Staffordshire Terrier is just an amazing breed. They are so naturally smart and they are so amazingly loyal, they love to see their owner happy and I love to see them happy. My 14 Y/O AmStaff passed away 8 months ago and I miss him so much, his name was Buddy and he put a smile on my face everyday and still does whenever I think about him. Awesome story here with your boy. I wish y’all a very long healthy happy future together.
He may be a daddy’s boy now but as soon as that baby comes-- I grew up with a big white collie- there is not a picture of me without her somewhere there- Best of everything 🙏🏻❤️
I've never met a pit bull that wasn't a lover. My son has only ever had pit bulls. He loves everyone even his grandma.
Me too! I love them and feel they get a bad rap. I blame most of the issues on bad owners

*Mum’s horror as ‘good’ family pit bull mauls six-month-old baby girl to death*
*A HEARTBROKEN mum has spoken of the harrowing moment her six-month-old baby was mauled to death by the family dog.*
Little Kamiko Dao Tsuda-Saelee was playing in her walker at her family home in Las Vegas when the pitbull sunk its teeth into the tot.
Her mother, Layla Tsuda, left the pair alone while she briefly nipped to the toilet.
Moments later she returned to find the dog, named Mana, was savaging her baby girl.
Tsuda managed to stop the attack, but tragically the baby had already suffered major injuries, according to KTNV.
She was rushed to hospital with blunt force trauma to the head but could not be saved.
In a statement devastated Tsuda told KHON-TV: “I have no words to explain my pain.”
She said the family was blindsided by the attack as the pooch, who had been in the family for nine years, had never bitten anyone.
She described the Mana as a good family pet.
*Mother tried to shield children killed in Memphis pit bull attack, family says*
Two children near Memphis, Tennessee, were killed after the family dog attacked them. The mother of those children is in the hospital, as she sustained injuries trying to protect her kids.
Family and friends say 30-year-old Kirstie Bennard fought to protect her children as two of the family’s pit bulls fatally attacked 5-month-old Hollace and 2-year-old Lillie last week.
NewsNation-affiliate WREG spoke to a neighbor who is still in shock over the incident.
“It nearly brought me to tears. It’s just heartbreaking. I can’t even wrap my head around it. My heart goes out to everybody involved,” the neighbor, who preferred to not be identified, said.
The family had owned the pets for more than eight years without incident.
Kirstie’s husband and father of the children, Colby, was not home at the time of the attack. According to his uncle, Jeff Gibson, the mother tried her best to shield her children while the attack lasted for about 10 minutes.
Gibson says she suffered bitemarks all over her body. He posted about the incident on Facebook.
“This attack lasted over 10 minutes, and she never gave up trying to save these babies,” Gibson said. “Now all of us family and friends have to rally around both of them and show them how much they are loved.”
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office said both dogs have now been euthanized. Bennard is still healing from her injuries in a Memphis hospital. Her condition has been upgraded from critical to stable.

@@zammmerjammer But we never get to hear about the details of what peopIe do to the dogs, both through breeding and torturing. It's beyond the paIe, but ignored. People created the scenario, and then turn around and point the finger at their creation/victims. So disgusting. So entitled. No responsibiIity. Detestibie "humans."
@@Sukijopa The fact they were bred for centuries to be fighting dogs is no secret. And there are plenty of stories of well treated family pitbulls suddenly snapping and attacking.
People created this scenario by breeding these dogs to be monsters in the first place, and then people perpetuate the problem by pretending you can turn bloodsport dogs into safe family pets. Videos like this one sell people on that dangerous lie, and it's usually little kids who pay the price.
@@zammmerjammer Yes, PEOPLE are responsible for all of it. Look up headlines of people who tortured their babies to death, or tortured someone else's chiId to death, or tortured dogs and cats to death, or any other kind of animaI. "Human" corruption is at the source of everything. But I'm surprised, having been s.h.a..d. o. w. b,.a, n. n. e. d. many times here, that you are aIIowed to post the same thing over and over again.
That said, I've rescued quite a few of these dogs, in addition to many other kinds, and they've been great. One of them even saved me from a rapist at a campground parking Iot (the rapist waited until he thought I was the onIy one there (didn't know the dog was in the area). Otis (the "pit" buII) didn't even bite the offender. He just showed up, scared the bastard, and then got in between and pushed him away. That's a good thing, because even though he had the right to bite the subhuman, he wouId have been blamed.

I have always had this breed and they have been the most loyal loving dogs. They do show all their emotions in their eyes and so easy to read.
Thanks so much for doing this rescue....We've been volunteering at various cat/dog/farm shelters/sanctuaries for about 30yrs & remain appalled that it is still volunteers, rescue groups, foster parents & adoptees that continue to pick up what others have thrown away. There is something mentally unfit in people who think that any sentient creature can just be tossed away like so much garbage for someone else to clean up.
Well said! It is appalling in this country how poorly many animals are treated; thank you for your volunteer work.
I wish I could give you 10 thumbs up! You are so right. It seems like the few are picking up the slack for the many irresponsible and abusive animal owners out there. Then there are the purebred snobs who will pay $4000 and fly halfway across the country to go and pick up From a breeder and would never dream of rescuing an animal from their local shelter. I'll never understand. But there are people who get pets to make themselves feel better as opposed to those of us who adopt animals to give them a great life, which improves our own lives, anyway!
@@lisabelle7553 it is that very fact that some people will pay large sums to get a pure bred or designer dog that encouraged the importation of 500 puppies from Ukraine to Canada 3 yrs ago of which 38 died on the flight. This was adorable. :-) Thank you for adopting this little guy & giving him a real home.
I’ve had dogs all of my life and just last year rescued a lab/pit mix who had been a stray. When we put him in the car for the drive home, he jumped in my lap and kissed me and my husband all the way home. He is hands down the most affectionate dog I have ever had. If you leave him home alone for even 5 minutes he greets you at the door like it’s been 5 days. Every person and animal he meets is his new best friend. He is just amazing.
My Pit is the same, 5 minutes alone and he greets you as it was 5 days, he loves kids but he absolutely do not want to have nothing to do with other dogs. Anyway, Pitts are amazing dogs especially with people, if they bite the real problem it's always the owner. They are absolutely fantastic with people.
Animals everywhere need people like you. Thank you.
My first pittie set me for life. The most wonderful, adorable breed who are so undeservedly maligned. Pitties forever!
This dog is a gentle loving animal, looking for love and security. He is amazing.
That Koby is a sweet, sweet boy.❤❤❤You are all blessed to have each other.
I adopted my pittie when he was seven. For the next 5 years, he slept tucked to tightly next to me that you couldn't get a sheet of paper between us. He had been used as a bait dog, then a junk yard dog. He was the sweetest boy. I miss his smiling face every day.
He appreciated that you saved him.
Awww. A very hard 7 years, he must’ve thought life with you was pure heaven. A two way blessing. We loved a Pit- mix for about 12 years. SO so hard to say goodbye. They are a greatly misunderstood breed. Very powerful, yes, but little dogs seem more likely to be aggressive (and German Shepards are so protective of their family, they scare me). Ours loved everyone, only wild critters needed to be wary. A huge raccoon tangled one day on a bike ride, dog jogged along. I couldn’t do anything to stop the fight. The raccoon ended up dead and not a mark on Missy. There was a large tree branch out in our windbreak, it ran at a 45 to 60 degree angle to earth. I sat on a boulder out there one day, Missy came puttering along, went by me. I didn’t say anything. She carefree climbed up that large branch to a flat spot 12’ off the ground, looked around for a critter to chase, came down like nothing out of the ordinary. She would do that many more times if I just stood near, pointed and said “squirrel!!” Missy was rather aloof, seemed a little more bonded to Mrs despite I was the one who gave her daily rides, walks, jog by bike, we went everywhere and still, I guess it was a girl bond thing. Will forever miss that girl. Ashes still here four years later. Even the neighbors loved her when tied up in front yard, they had permission to come over and pet her and Missy LOVED that. We were SOC people, same old crap when compared to meeting someone new ! A very social dog. She ended up unwanted by first peeps, but they were good to her, what a blessing for us. Flop on her back, willing to be vulnerable, begging anyone for a belly rub.
Absolutely ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Wonderful story. My daughter got a pitty/staff, at a rescue & that's the sweetest big boy dog, I've ever been around.
Beautiful story, so happy he found his family, he is so sweet and special ♥️
Two things. The first is yes! Pitbulls are the most cuddley, needy, sweet and happy dogs I've ever had. Their eyes say everything. The other thing is Long Island! I'm homegrown from Huntington long Island and forever my heart remains there.
My husband and I were temporary guardians of pittie I named BJ while his real owner sorted her life out. It didn't take long for me to determine that the big grey goofball was totally deaf.
He and I were cuddle buddies and I took my afternoon naps on the floor with him, usually using him for a pillow. Our bond grew strong as I patiently taught him hand signs for different things. He learned quickly and soon knew many different signs.
My heart broke the day his "real mom" showed up to reclaim BJ. He
did not want to leave me and was struggling to come to me as she shoved him into her car. I had to turn my back and go into the house so she could get him in the car.
I still think of BJ and I look sometimes at his photo on my phone. He was one of a kind!
Every pittie I've had in my life has been super sweet and wanting cuddles.
It's not a pitbull
Pitties are some of the sweetest babies in the entire world. The best cuddlers I've ever come across.
We have a Staffordshire mix that showed up at our house. He is the most loving precious dog we have ever ver had.
He is loving, nurturing, I don’t have enough sweet words to express the love Bentley has brought to our house!
Gorgeous dog and so loved by his parents ❤️
If Koby ever misbehaves, his mom can't tell him, "Just wait til your dad gets home!" He'll just wag his tail, thinking yeah we'll play, and eat, and cuddle. Not much of a threat.
I lost my pit mix a year ago today. She was my other half. This video made me smile as I thought of her so much throughout it.
Oh my goodness! Life is just better with our 4-legged friends. Love it. Bless. ❤
You can practically see the love pouring out of Koby for the whole family, even the cat ❤😂
Thank you very much to the wonderful people who gave their love, care and home to this very sweet! GOD bless you!
Pitties are the most resilient, forgiving, loving and smart breed I have ever had. You baby will be the safest child on the block. Mine never left my son's side, he was the bestest nanny ever. How bless are you tone adopted by a PB?
Wonderful story. Koby is quite the character and like all dogs and cats deserves a warm, loving home and that is exactly what you have given him. Good people love their pets.
Koby is one lucky and blessed son ❤
Thank you so much 🙏💛💙💛💙💛💙💛💙💛💙💛
He's beautiful and very sweet. Thanks for adopting him. He looks very happy with you guys.
You have such a beautiful family and a beautiful story of how you adopted your son! Congrats 🎉 on everything, God bless! The love shows through all y'all. ✌️🫶😊
He's daddy's boy until the baby comes😄❣️
They are awesome loving dogs I love this breed!!!

@zammmerjammer you are as much as a degenerate as I am it seems. You're going through all the comments copy pasting pitbull stories while I've been doing that except about other dog breeds involved in gruesome murders and scientific facts alongside why they do so
This couple is amazing. Kind, caring, and generous. May God bless you with a long, healthy life. Watched this video here in Kuwait.
What a very lucky dog to find wonderful people
Love the breed. I'm on my second Pitbull rescue in the last 16 years and they are absolutely amazing dogs.
My friend has this huge Steff and I have never met a dog like this:
When I sit on the couch and I say: “Cuddle!”, she literally climbs completely on top of me and is actually hugging me with her head, while getting as close as possible, pressing her body against me.
This beautiful and massive, impressive looking dog can give the best cuddles imaginable!!!
Also:
This friend is also my neighbor.
And sometimes when I am in my car, it happens to be that my friend is walking her dog.
As soon as the dog notices that I am in my car, she demands to be let in the car too.
And there she does the same thing she does on the couch, except me plus a massive dog on my lap (!!) does not really fit in the driver seat… but my dear dog-friend doesn’t care one bit about that.
She wiggles and squeezes herself to where she wants to be (on my lap) and then usually lets out a huge sigh… and I feel her muscles relax and she contently GOES TO SLEEP!!
EVERY TIME!! 😂😂😂
My friend tells me that whenever my car is parked at it’s usual spot but I am NOT in it…. The dog seems annoyed and keeps on checking for me until her Mom takes her inside 😂😂😂😂
Oh how the Pitties love to give tons of kisses, AND give the biggest hugs...right into the curve of your neck! 😂😊❤❤ We have 3 GSD'S first. Then, our first beautiful, sweet Pittie came into our lives forever. They all get along, and love each other SO much!! She was found shivering on wet rocks waiting for help. This was this last February! She loves to get up on my lap (Grandma), and give me kisses and lots of loving hugs. I am so lucky to receive them!😂😊❤❤
OMG, Koby is a doll baby! I would love to have such a precious pooch in my life!
What a beautiful story! I’am so happy for you Kobe!🙏💜
What a great dog! Congratulations on adopting this handsome little guy and also your actual child that you’ll soon be welcoming into the world!
My guy was about the same age as Kobe when my ex was pregnant with my daughter and during that time they became very close because he was so protective of her because he knew something was in her belly - basically I got him as a pup at 8-9 weeks and then met her 5-6 months later and then a few months after that she was pregnant, thing is he was a wild puppy with tons of energy and also she was highly allergic to dogs and would break out in hives like crazy, so it’s not that she didn’t like him but she wasn’t really a dog person and couldn’t be around him with her allergies - after a while (few months) the allergies started to lessen because we were living together at that time so her body just somehow adapted to it/him and eventually she stopped breaking out etc… and he wouldn’t leave her side even though she wanted no parts of it lol but eventually after many cuddle sessions that he forced upon her 😂 they got very close which was awesome!
BEAUTIFUL FAMILY... He thinks the cats are playing, too Funny.
That face is melting my heart😢😢😢
Love this story..thank you for rescuing him, and sharing this story. Congrats on growing your family too...he's a handsome fellow too...💕 enjoy!
