Daddy was the best dog, he was the real dog whisperer. Whenever Cesar couldn't get through to a dog he brought Daddy in and within seconds the dog fell into line and behaved normally. He was 100% dog, not a baby or a child, not even really a "pet", he was a true dog and that is thanks to Cesar for understanding him and letting him flourish..

I feel your pain, my Rottie Jackson died Sept 2015 and it's still so painful just thinking about how great he was. I have another Rottie now, he's actually the fourth Rottie I've owned. I love them all but none can compare to the companion my Jacksey was to me. Forever Loved, Forever Missed...RIP Big Jack 2003-2015
Holy sht 15 years! My rottwheiler diead at age 9 cancer that spread all over his body :( Lucky u man.. Rottwheiler are sucha beautiful and loyal breed 💪
Just days ago my wife and I lost our beloved golden retriever Baxter. I have never had children so Baxter was like my son. With stage 4 kidney failure, hip dysphasia, the high likelihood that he had cancer, and the inability to keep food down. We had to do what was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. Say goodbye for now to my best friend. The kindest most loving dog I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Baxter loved everyone and everyone immediately fell in love with him. Baxter would even give you a hug if you asked him too. Or he would step up to the couch and ask you for one. I have had many dogs and breeds in life but this guy was truly special. It's been about 36 hrs since we said goodbye to him and I do find that it's getting better. Goldens want you to be happy. So would he. What Ceaser said here made a lot of sense to me. Thank you Ceaser for making this a little more bearable
I know the feeling, When your dog dies It feels as if your heart is breaking into pieces. Even you can feel the physical pain in your heart.i 've never felt such pain in my entire life
I know what it's like to loose a beloved pet. for ive lost 5 pressured dogs, friends, Soulmates. RIP Daddy. For i know how it feels to loose a Loved One like YOU. XXX
I am so sorry for Cesar. I loved Daddy. I smiled every time Cesar brought Daddy in to help with an aggressive dog. He was such a beautiful dog. I am sorry he is gone and will miss him. I didn't realize what had happened. I haven't been able to see the show in a couple of years. I am glad Cesar is still with us. He has a gift.
Yea, my dog kicked the bucket not long ago he was 16. I cried like a 10 year old kid. But then my wife found a dog by the side of the road a puppy, she was 5 weeks old! So I guess I am ok now for at least another 10 years, but I always remember the first time I ever saw my dogs and the last. They will always have a good life with us and give us a good life too. Take care!
this is his gift, cesar is the only one i know that is helping ppl and dogs around the world. helping others like a professional,a real one. which is not all of us can. appreciate what cesar contribute for us and our dogs and not saying him shit. respect is what we lack of.
Unfortunately death is part of life cycle. And its sad to see people with really LOW SELF esteem write stupid comments...but then yet I understand that those people would've wish to have DADDY'S life, full of love and care.
Cesar Milan is such an amazing human being. His relationship with Daddy was so special and I'm sure many dog owners can relate when we meet that wonderful dog that changes our lives for the better. They sure are mans best friend. I wish they lived longer.
Dont listen to negative comments, I support you because your inspirational and motivational, and your the first dog whisper, you should be proud to where your at right now and not everybody can communicate with dogs as much as you can, you're amazing Cesar! 😃☺
This man is truly a real hero. He has helped so many dogs that where viewed by so many as being lost causes. Cesar is the type of man I believe that demonstrates love, courage, not only as a person, but toward his love for dogs. Cesar...I love your show!
I watched Daddy with love and pride on your show's, what a beautiful dog with loving and trusting eyes I never knew until now that he had passed everyone who saw him will miss him RIP Daddy. Blessing Cesar.xx
R.I.P., Fluffy. You were an incredible force of nature. You left a true impact on more lives and souls than anyone could have possibly imagined. You will be dearly be missed. But we will all meet again.
I held my beloved Nevada May 12th 2015 as she took her last breaths ( I had it done at home with my Vet ) I had her 14 beautiful years. My Vet checked for a pulse and whispered "She's gone" I cried like a 8 year old boy even though i'm 45. I used to tell her when she was a puppy "Nev, i'm with you all the way" I had no idea, I really meant it. It's barely been a month & its still tough. I miss Her. I still cry here & there. Not ready for another dog yet but seeing dogs & playing with other friends dogs brings me happiness.
Hot80s So very sorry for you loss. Time won't make it better. I know. Been there. The memories are so very special!! Keep those in your heart and you just never know what door will be opened next. Big love to you!!!!!!
+Hot80s Truly, I'm so sorry for your loss. I just wanted to tell you that you did something I learned too late; whatever our beloved dogs go thru, it's always easier if we're with them. You made your beloved Nevada's passing as gentle as possible. Remember that dogs do not fear death, they truly live in the moment as Cesar Milan has said so often. Be comforted knowing your darling Nevada is just sleeping.
What a great human being Cesar really is! If only people all over the world could understand and adopt his wisdom, what a truly different world we would live in!
I lost my Lab mix of 15 years this Feb to cancer. I got a new dog.. He's also a lab mix.. he's so awesome. Dogs are our best friends... and once you fall in love with a certain breed... you just can't see yourself without one. I'll always own a lab or lab mix... I love them soo much. RIP Daddy... you were such a great boy!
daddy turned 16 where other pits die before turning 10. goes to show that he must have truly loved and treated daddy perfectly. his attitude is absolutely admirable - saving the life of as many dogs as possible and changing the bad images of certain dog breeds to honor Daddy - the best pit in the world. god... imagine how it must have felt to him... losing his best friend and most loyal companion after 16 years. R.I.P. Daddy - you´ll never be forgotten.
i am from a town near PE we also love watching cesar. junior has taken over and become a great ambassador for pittbulls.i wish we could get someone like cesar in SA .the people in this country really need to look at the way our animals are being treated
Having just lost our beautiful pittie girl, Molly, I know exactly what he means. My goal is to honor her every day! She was my first pittie and made me fall in love with this type of dog!
RIP Daddy ! and when Cesar talks about suffering he doesn't sound fake like other celebs. He has been there he has seen it and he recovered. Live a long life Mr Millan !
Cesar is such a wise person, he has helped so many dogs and people, with the help of Daddy and now Junior, and he's has learned something new from everything he has done. He's my hero!

I now have a new dog, a Rough Collie called Lucy she's my best friend and helps me everyday but it's not just about me. She used to bite but she doesn't anymore. She's soon 1½ year old now and she's already like a diffrent dog. She's the best, I wouldn't surive without her ♥♥
I was there for this show in 2010 :) this question period had some strange questions, but his response to this question was just so reassuring. Love that man.
Cesar is a great person, and Daddy is such a great dog. I hope I could also become positive energy of my environment like them. Thanks Cesar and Daddy!
Lost my baby girl on wed April 6th 2021😭 4 days ago, I have lost pets in the past and they are very hard, but this baby girl made me feel my heart when she passed, just brokenhearted, sadness, loneliness, missing, grief is the price we pay for the love of them over the years 😔
Words of wisdom! It's amazing how much a dog becomes part of us and their loving ways are an inspiration. Thanks for sharing this part of your life as well, Cesar.
Daddy changed my attitude towards pit bulls, too. and now I have a 16 year old dog that I am having to let go of. Suffering, life and death, and letting love change the world for other dogs...what a great goal.
My Rottweiler passed away last week at 15 years old due to cancer and old age. My siblings and I had been crying for the pass few days. Everytime we mentioned about her and the good memories, we will be crying. Ceaser speach really helped us, she would want us to live our lifes. I recalled, I was with her on her last day, I was crying when I saw how sick she was. She was laying down and she trying to kick my hand as if telling me not to cry for her. As days goes by, the pain is getting lesser.
A beautiful, beautiful man! Daddy & Cesar were partnered up for a reason- 1st and formost- to educate the world that a pitbull can be every bit as centered as any other breed.
I just wanted to say thank you for posting this video, my rottie just died two days ago.. and this video has been my saving grace :) so thank you for posting this..
What an amazing dog Daddy was!.. Losing a pet is just as hard as losing a family member. I know that hurt Cesar but I also know that Cesar is a man of great character and he will always honor his beloved Daddy.. RIP Daddy!.. we miss you big guy!..
who lived for years as the Cesar knows the pain that he spent in daddy's death, however lesson was learning and he helped give us "Live in memory Daddy"
im crying like crazy knowing just now that daddy died..ive been watching daddy and cesar ..when my employer died last 2010..feb i wasnt able to watch the program thats why i am so shocked that daddy died omg .....i miss him badly...
CESAR----You helped all of us too know that pits are not bad, and not the bred as you say here. MAY YOU BE BLESSED---AND DADDY AS WELL!! FOR ALL TIME!!!
On April 18, 2013, my bestfriend, my Alapaha Blueblood Bulldog was diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer... My husbands heart and my own are broken and may be a long time before we heal. If she makes it, she turns ONLY six years in May. She is our best companion and to this date, the best dog ever. I am slowly watching her go, and soon the day will come to send her away to heaven. We love her so much. We cannot bare this anguish. :-(
I lost my dog suddenly a few yrs ago i was devastated and thought i was over it but 2 yrs after he died i was on holiday were i used to take him and was overcome by emotion even after 2 yrs. Now i breed dogs and they are my life i have 6 and each one is so special, i hope your pain goes away soon.
I have a mini-dach named Frank. We lost our 11 year old hound, Copper last fall. It is hard to lose such a good friend. We got a hound pup just before Christmas and he helps to fill the hole in our hearts. Frank only comes up to his knee now, but he helps to train the pup how to behave. I hope that a new dog finds you soon. There are so many dogs out there that need a good home.
Ive lost too many lately, I was wondering what to think, so I was grateful, and I told the Lord, thank you for the experience, and things lifted. My heart goes out to those that lose people and pets. daddy was special and cesars twin flame. I understand what he felt, all that loss. chin up brother. we love you and thank you for being YOu.
A person can see the tears well up in his eyes, but man,i take my hat off to you Cesar for not braking out in tears man, respect and R.I.P daddy millan :(
HDMovies, how on earth does someone criticize people for caring deeply for a beautiful, innocent creature? Do you think a person who cries for a dog wouldn't cry even more for a dying child? Please don't ever own a pet.
I think you say so much in that short speech, which has reached me, and I thank you and look up to you for how amazing you seen from this moment of what you shared, I don't wish to think of my pets dieing, but you give me hope that I can have hope as I've not done so well losing human friends, I've suffered a very long time, so God bless you and all you do, may peace be in your heart and mind,
I am from south Africa, and I watch back to back Dog whisperer, all the time. daddy's passing was not in one of the shows, but Cesar was training Junior to take over for daddy. daddy was 16 years olf
First saw him on an episode of Dog Whisperer years ago and can't remember the exact details now but he was working with a dog that had aggression issues / in a habit of going for people or other animals anywhere near the house or garden. Remember Caesar saying he was going to send Daddy in for that one because the dog's level of disrespect was such he needed to learn from another dog - not from a human. Much to my now shame I did go “Holy shit.. he's sending that pitbull in there?” because I've never been a fan of the breed and sadly it's unfair reputation and the few I have met that were aggressive (just because they were unfortunate to be owned by idiots) meant I mistakenly thought this wouldn't end well. What impressed me most was his ability to hold back and not feel a need to play the Johnny big-bollocks routine. Caesar opened the gate, the other dog all teeth and 'tude real nasty looking bastard and Daddy calmly walked in, sniffed casually at some plants... maybe had a quick pee no rush then this other dog shot forward and I shat myself as Daddy met his charge moving quickly and right up close like 2cm from his face. Caesar said “See? Daddy is not being aggressive with the dog or threatening he just saying “Hey!! HEY!! YOU KNOW WHO WERE ARE?” which is exactly what I mentally heard Daddy saying when he shot up and stopped him gaining more ground. That was it. Dog shut up and backed away slowly and then both of them hung out and shared garden for a bit. No aggression or throwing his weight about - just a very clear confident stance to say he was going nowhere. Not many can do that. That dog was absolutely incredible.
Cesar just won my respect, the guy is more than Dog Whisperer as of this moment.
True and i say the same
Daddy was the best dog, he was the real dog whisperer. Whenever Cesar couldn't get through to a dog he brought Daddy in and within seconds the dog fell into line and behaved normally. He was 100% dog, not a baby or a child, not even really a "pet", he was a true dog and that is thanks to Cesar for understanding him and letting him flourish..
well said
Redman didn’t realize his dog was special until Cesar adopted him
Thank you! Just found this after putting my 14 year old hound dog to sleep . He told us it was time

There is a lot of wisdom in this man!
I never knew daddy passed away :< he was such a great dog, gonna miss him :
Better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.
Each dog brings new gifts to your life... I've never regretted having a dog in my life despite the pain when they pass...

We got a hound pup just before Christmas and he helps to fill the hole in our hearts. Frank only comes up to his knee now, but he helps to train the pup how to behave. I hope that a new dog finds you soon. There are so many dogs out there that need a good home.
What a beautiful man.God bless him.
beautiful speech.
Rip daddy........i had a pitbull for 14 years died of cancer 😭
I myself felt like I was about to break crying, I can imagine his pain hes holding in his voice.
Daddy was a special dog, may he rest in peace ...
i know how he feels..lost my soulmate after 16 years. its 3 months now,and i mis her like crazy,a peace off my hart was ripped out...R.I.P daddy
CRYING!!! RIP DADDY GOD BLESS YOU CESAR!
I'm happy to hear you changed your mind about pitbulls. Pitbulls really are AMAZING dogs.
Thank you so much for posting this! God bless!
I think you say so much in that short speech, which has reached me, and I thank you and look up to you for how amazing you seen from this moment of what you shared, I don't wish to think of my pets dieing, but you give me hope that I can have hope as I've not done so well losing human friends, I've suffered a very long time, so God bless you and all you do, may peace be in your heart and mind,
I am sorry to hear about Daddy. RIP.
My Hero, for dogs and for people, so wise...
Cesar, you are great.Thank you.
