I heard the carnotaur was supposed to speak a few lines during the end fight on the cliff but the writers decided that it would be too creepy to have them speak out of nowhere. In all honesty that would’ve been creepy and cool at the same time

I can see why these were taken out. The 1st one: Scavengers isn't quite as suspensful with the reveal that the herd is being followed so they changed some angles, nothing too big though. The 2nd one: Eema gives up, is essentially a waste of time so scrapping it is smart. Neera saves the infants in the 3rd clip: This would actually be a great character moment for Neera, but it paints Kron in a more sympathetic light, and I think the idea was to portray him as stubborn until the very end where he eventually get's himself cornered, and for us believe that his death was mostly his own fault, but the effect would have been lessened if this scene was included where he puts his stubborn ideas and pride aside to help his sister. 4: Alternate ending, I can see why they went with this innitially, to put the virtue of sharing at the forefront, which was obviously a big point to this movie along with not leaving anyone behind. But, they decided to do a callback to the beginning of the movie where Cloe opens up the dinosaur egg like she did with Aladar 5: This scene you can actually since the influence on the other scenes in the movie. I think they managed to cut the fluff out by dispersing the time spent on the animation into other scenes. 6, Bruton Attacked: (lol they used 3 Kron models as placeholders). This could have actually been really creepy - the idea of walking right into the feeding grounds of a Carnotaur. However, this scene implies that there were three when there were only 2. So I guess they slightly adjusted the scene later down the line. 7: No real reason to kick this scene honestly, but I guess they figured that with all the scenes of cutting back to the Carnotaurs eating something that they had driven the point home that people were dying during the march well enough without showing someone straight up collapsing dead. 8: I think the scene was written decently and has good symbolism between Gotama and Aladar, but I guess they slowly decided to write Gotama out of the script.
Raykushi As for #3, while I do agree it may have taken away a little from Kron, I feel that it would’ve given Neera more reason to try to save Kron from the carnotaur in the final battle on the cliff. Without it, it feels rather forced for Neera to mourn over the carcass of her butthead brother. Yea it’s her brother, but wow he was very dogmatic. And without that clip, he seemed like an a**hole with hardly any justification or redeemable qualities.
#7 Biggest reason I see for deleting this is it makes Neera look racist. The collapsed Stygimoloch scene originally segued into Neera encouraging the two exhausted baby Iguanodons to keep going. The scene could be interpreted as Neera giving preferential treatment to her own species, while oblivious to the plight of the other dinosaurs.
You can also argue that scene number one had more gorier elements, the POV of the corpse being eaten, the Carnataurus immediately snapping at the body. Plus what you said.
I personally thought the scene with Eema giving up was pretty charming on its own. And even when Kron saved Neera and the kids, he still wasn't happy about it.

Happens in the production phase. Even if it's semi-completed, sometimes that part of the story or that piece of the film wouldn't fit into the film from another individual's point of view. But one thing's for sure, at least it's archived on something as simple as a DVD. So even if the producers somehow lose that amount of work somewhere, at least they made copies of it. The History of Old Gotama would’ve actually been quite a neat concept for a storyline continuation bonus. I was thinking maybe Old Gotama was the first dinosaur, or rather the ancestor/predecessor to all the dinosaur species. I was also thinking that his/her legend of finding the Nesting Grounds was passed down to the locals in the region through oral tradition, and then through them to other animal species. Was he the Saviour/Founder/National Icon for the inhabitants of the Nesting Grounds? Did he boost foreign tourism & settlements in their lands? xD Nah, But srsly... If Disney added a story of how Old Gotama was one of the first animals to walk on land outside of the Ocean after the Carboniferous period, that he strongly encouraged other species used to marine life to step outside of their comfort zones, and why his influential role/mark on Earth history is going to be cherished by all generations of species until the Sun’s explosion of our Solar System in the far distant future occurs, or something along those lines... I would definitely pay Disney some partition money, just so they can include that new bit of scenery in their next instalment of this nostalgic film!!! 😁😁🐲
Soar-ed Recreational Just from his fossil, Old Gotama looks like a Plateosaurus. So that could imply that the whole "Journey To The Nesting Grounds" has been going on since the Triassic. Of all the deleted scenes, that's the one they should have included the most.
Rover 259 Wild yeah , one of my all time favourites actually with the dark crystal and Godzilla Tokyo SOS lol , sadly they won't do a sequel though , maybe a prequel?? Idk
Looking at those storyboards, I kinda wish this movie was traditionally animated. Yes, I know that would've been asking for comparisons to The Land Before Time; I don't care. Traditional animation is a lost art, just barely kept alive (outside of places like Japan) by dedicated fans and the companies willing to indulge them, if only slightly. Of course, that's not to say that the techniques they DID use are anything to sneeze at.
I also believe that the purpish-blue Carnotaur with golden-yellow horns that took one of Bruton's scouts away at 1:02 was supposed to be the larger Carnotaur.
There were some inaccuracies in this movie regarding the dinosaurs, but overall it was great! The Carnotaurus model that was used for this movie seemed too bulky, large and seemed to have the physique of a T. Rex. In reality Carnotaurus was much smaller than this, and it was a lean and fast Abelisaurid. Iguanodon was actually much larger than Carnotaurus. The Velociraptors in this are the correct size, but they lacked feathers, which is something most Dromaeosaurid theropods had. Instead of Carnotaurus, they should have used either Acrocanthosaurus, Giganotosaurus, or even Allosaurus. And, instead of Velociraptors, bigger raptors like Deinonychus or Utahraptor could have been used to make these scenes more intimidating.
But dinosaurs don't have feathers and this was debunked by many paleontologists and other scientists Dinosaurs maximum had hair And there is no evidence of Dinosaurs having feathers

I was there. I saw the story boards. The original story emphasized a "Passing of the Torch" theme of global dominance from the Dinosaurs to birds and the mammals (the lemurs), and eventually to us humans. In the test footage, the male lemur is named "Adam". It wasn't until two years into production that it was decided that the story was too dark for Disney. The only thing that survived the original boards was a shot of the bird/dinos flying in the opposite direction from where the meteor is about to hit.
Bob Cat He was a huge brachiosaurus that seemed to be afraid of heights. His character was scrapped, and changed to what would eventually become Baylene.
Would’ve been cool if they loosely tied this in with The Land Before Time and Gotama was the one who first discovered the Nesting Grounds aka “The Great Valley.”
The hell..!! the Struggle For Finding A Resting Place was a whole new level! The scene literally shows the fatigue Dinosaurs effortlessly trying to find a spot for them to rest.! Not to mention, they're even fighting in order to get that Resting spot first.
10:22-10:36 Hark! I think it sounds like the originally planned Meat Eater that was supposed to be a great terror for this Disney Film. In other words, the creature that ate a goat from some kind of Park. I hope you know that hint & 10:22-10:36 that sound.
There is also another scene missing here, the river crossing scene, and a few others based off of older storyboards of the movie which was voice acted for.

3:52 I believe Neera should have said "They are in danger!" or "They don't have a chance!".
Aladaar sounds like a whale
That Stygimoloch is exhausted.
4:24 onwards scene was brutal as fuck
No wonder they cut off the scene
BigBadWolf the 1st scene is also really cruel
Ah yea boi!!
This movie never gets old❤️❤️
This was really cool! It is pretty cool that one of these deleted scenes almost got into the final version of the movie! 😃
4:25 Kron that was brutal!
4:31?
How is it brutal
Nice knowing you, dinosaur, you probably the best Disney film, of animation, plus you had a heart spot for us all
8:44 gallimimus with JP raptor sounds
Yes LMAO
Those are struthiomimus not gallimimus.
I also believe that the purpish-blue Carnotaur with golden-yellow horns that took one of Bruton's scouts away at 1:02 was supposed to be the larger Carnotaur.
Great Introduction :)
Congratulations!
Thank you so much for making that video!
Anytime
You welcome
Have you also noticed that the plot of Dinsey's Dinosaur is a bit too similar to that of Universal's The Land Before Time?
But dinosaurs don't have feathers and this was debunked by many paleontologists and other scientists
Dinosaurs maximum had hair
And there is no evidence of Dinosaurs having feathers
Man I wish they would have finished these scenes. I think they’re great.
These Velociraptors are eating the food then 2 Carnotauruses came behind them!
There were 3 carnotaurs
Henry Medina Only 2
Well they should've put 3 so that way main villain is the alpha
1:41 I think is the funniest part of all the deleted scenes
Yep
@@GamingIndominus
The line keep your long neck out of my business LOL XD but also get the pun because she’s a long neck.
Thank you!
David Vázquez you well come
3:01 Yar Couldn't Find His Shadow On A Sunny Day
Who thinks Bruton should be voiced by John Goodman?
And should Kron be voiced by Thomas Haden Church?
if john goodman was a dinosaur he would be a t-rex
but if Thomas Haden Church was a dinosaur what kind would he be would he be an IGuanodon or a different kind of Duck bill
Good idea Thomas Haden Church can do the voice of Kron and John Goodman can do the voice Bruton.
The carnotaurus was also planned to talk but they thought it would make him too scary. Wished he would have talked
Deleted Scenes (in chronological order):
7:44 Struggle For A Resting Place
0:32 The Scavengers
10:13 Bruton & Lieutenants Attacked
1:03 Eema Gives Up
11:16 Death On The Trail
3:14 Neera Saves The Infants
11:46 Old Gotoma
4:58 Alternate Ending
i wish the scenes of Neera saving the infants and old Gotoma, alternative ending stayed.Emma gives up was funny too.
*eema
I'm happy they dropped the Old Gotama thing, because it lays the Moses/God angle on too strong. Without it, it feels like a more contained story.
Maniacal Matt Really? Interesting. I personally love that scene, but it’s always nice to hear from the opposing viewpoint :)
What do you mean? How would that reference Moses?
@@NG-we8uu Because of the whole “leading your people to a new home” thing
@@rainbowhawk911 ornithischian exodus goes hard
Old Gotama!? There was planned LORE?!
4:32 his tail 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Think they should’ve kept scenes 2, 7, and 8. The second one especially where Eema gives up is pretty humorous!
In the very original story, the meteor hit occurred at the end of the film and all the dinosaurs DIE! Only the lemurs survive.
Source
@@RealBadman554 Source?
I was there. I saw the story boards. The original story emphasized a "Passing of the Torch" theme of global dominance from the Dinosaurs to birds and the mammals (the lemurs), and eventually to us humans. In the test footage, the male lemur is named "Adam". It wasn't until two years into production that it was decided that the story was too dark for Disney. The only thing that survived the original boards was a shot of the bird/dinos flying in the opposite direction from where the meteor is about to hit.
8:40 those mircoceratops are pestily little stinkers.
I love baylene, but I wished Chris Farley had voiced sorbus, would've been funny
if Sorbus the chris Farley brachiosaurus was in this movie then he would be Baylene's grandson
Matthew Ballon Who’s Sorbus?
Bob Cat He was a huge brachiosaurus that seemed to be afraid of heights. His character was scrapped, and changed to what would eventually become Baylene.
The one where Eema gives up makes me wonder what this film would have been like in 2D, like the other Disney movies.
It's in storyboard sketch
Aladar - Oliver Twist
Neera - Nancy Sikes
Kron - Mr Bumble
Bruton - Mr Sowerberry
Plio - Mrs Maylie
Zini - Mr Brownlow
Suri - Rose Maylie
Yar - Mr Grimwig
Eema - Old Sally
Baylene - Mrs Bedwin
Url - Bull'seye
Carnotaurus - Bill Sikes & Fagin
Velociraptors - Monks & Noah Claypole & Artful Dodger & Charley Bates
?
3:37 just how I remember it😌
I like the idea of old Gotoma, wished they kept him.
Would’ve been cool if they loosely tied this in with The Land Before Time and Gotama was the one who first discovered the Nesting Grounds aka “The Great Valley.”
These would have been great.
4:17 that raptor must have been really pissed off to roar like a tyrannosaurus!🤣
Thumbnail looks like the yee dinosaur
The hell..!! the Struggle For Finding A Resting Place was a whole new level! The scene literally shows the fatigue Dinosaurs effortlessly trying to find a spot for them to rest.! Not to mention, they're even fighting in order to get that Resting spot first.
Theres elements to the alternate ending that i feel like shouldve stuck in the film, and elements that im glad made it into the film
I love this movie
I do as well :)
I wished their was a sequel or atleast a remake but sadly that will never happen
I love the 3rd one
How they just glide across the screen
Rip bruton
It's a shame that the company that made this movie's special effects got closed down
How many carnos were there for the attack . Looked like 10
roblox recorder I think there were 5 carnotaurs, but in the film there were 2 carnotaurs
Rover 259 Wild i agree.
Roblox Recorder you don't agree with facts...
NoName? More like DEAD NAME what facts you dont know any facts
I counted 3 Carnotaurs in that valley.
Plio voiced Sarabi on the live action movie Lion King.
And Aunt Josephine in A Series of Unfortunate Events. Also appeared with Julianna Marguiles (Neera) in What's Cooking.
They should make a sequel because they put so much work into the first film.
I like it that the movie was meant to be more gruesome...
Eema then changes her mind
All of these released in extended cut except old Gotama. Now, I know why in Disney+ have diffrent scene with my childhood memories.
I remember this movie as a favorite of mine from my childhood. Just like my dad, I was dinosaur-crazy so I watched this movie religiously. My parents would play it in the car whenever I went anywhere with them and I would always look forward to picking up where it left off. When I got older, I was truly surprised to learn how unpopular it was! In my eyes, Disney's Dinosaur was on par with Jurassic Park
Is Eema a Female?
Dinosaur, Giraffes And MORE!!!!! Eema is a female. Just very old lol
yeah
A British female probably
0:41 Jurassic Park Velociraptor Sounds.
Deleted? Strangely enough, in the DVD version I watched I remember all these scenes, I just don't know if it was a Mandela event.
That split was did I think Eema was telling them to go on to hell at 2:05😂😂😂
Zini:LoOk No FUrThEr i CaN dO It.
Great work 👍
Thanks.
I wish they would of added the legend of old Gotama. Gives the story a bit of legend or lore.
9:55 and 9:56 my favorite part 😂
That felt more like a shet post than a deleted scene
Eema: you’re gonna give a girl a heart attack sneaking up like that
Me: your an Animal. they can’t have heart attacks
@@DantheMan2605 The human being is also an animal. And if it's possible for other animal species to have heart attacks.
4:32 did that raptor loose it's tail
Yes it did
