    13:59 - Summary
Productivity is movement, and one of the most effective ways to make successful movements is by performing Sprints.
A Sprint is a highly-focused, intentional, engaged, and time-bounded work session that pushes you beyond your current limits.
The goal of each Sprint is to travel the greatest distance towards your goal as possible.
Distance is equal to velocity multiplied by time.
The total time you Sprint for each day is dependent on how many times you Sprint a day and how long you Sprint for.
Velocity is a function of the direction you choose and your stride.
Your direction is based on your values or goals.
Your stride depends on your stride length and your rhythm.
Use deliberate practice to enhance your skills, and subsequently, your stride length.
Learn to keep imitating people better than you until you surpass them, developing a direct relationship with the ideal itself.
Remove distractions and create the optimal conditions for flow.
    d = v T = D L Y n t

    00:25 Productivity is effective movement.
02:23 Every sprint has 3 key components: distance, velocity, and time.
04:14 Discipline, not motivation, leads to consistent results.
05:57 Productivity is a long-term marathon that requires managing time and focusing on velocity.
07:47 Investing your energy is more important than how much you invest.
09:32 Values can change as we collect more experiences
11:10 Deliberate practice involves taking action and getting feedback
13:15 Work on things you find deeply meaningful to minimize distractions
So true. Contributing to something value to others and society provides much more energy then just commercial or transactional ones. Just better. 🙌

“Discipline, not productivity, leads to consistent results.” This helped change my mindset. The frustrating thing about motivation (or lack thereof) is that it is rarely something one can control, it’s something one feels. However, discipline is an actionable practice that is in a person’s control to develop.

Well thought out but yes so many pieces that can be tweaked as one works around.
    Key lessons:
sprints (highly focused, intentional, engaged, time-bounded, challenged sprint with goal to travel greater distance towards goal as possible)
    =
direction (chosen path via purpose and values) x action towards the ideal action(skillset level of activity, developed by modeling and deliberate practice and coaching) x rhythm (flow, developed by meditation and setting cues to get in the zone) x amt of time of the sprint focused time session x how many sessions in the day
    total productivity for given goal
    =
how many sprints or how many focus sessions you did in total
    total progressing towards the goal?
    =
how many focused session you are doing daily and weekly towards goal.

This may be one of the best videos ever made. Thank you! I've written down notes, ready to make a comeback in my school's honors list. Then during the summer that starts at May, I'll go back to my workout regiment and start on the acoustic guitar.

I've tried this for many years without knowing this video, for me, it works well but it stays for a while (months) then gone and I need to restart again. So far, I confirmed this strategy works.

Been messing around with this, works (for me) to take a short nap between an exhausting sprint. Not all the time, just when I need it or feel overwhelmed.

Oh, if I watched this video months ago... I want to make comics and I thought that I was lacking in inspiration, but 1 day I start doing it, based on an advice "finish, not perfect" and I draw every day, even if I didn't feel in the mood, but you get eventually a great drawing and the motivation comes. And now I'm almost finishing the comic, is 17 pages, but usually I never did more than 5 before quiting. This video enforced my new way of working. Thanks.

Thank youu. I really liked the part where you said to work while leaving a bit of energy for the next day, I keep burning out myself and then doing nothing much the next day I'm going to try this!

This is something I need for a long time. I was looking for a way to increase my productivity. I watched many videos and articles but when I just checked this video it is really amazing. Now I have the formula to calculate how I'm growing my productivity. Thanks a lot for making this video.

This is beautiful. I usually don't like productivity vids (that only focus on grinding 24/7 or something) but this?! Beautiful.

Honestly this is the most productive way I've ever been explained how to manage my time better and it's only because you broke it down into it's most fundamental logical component mathematically lol

this video is only about 16 minutes, but still more better than many books which are needed more than a month to read

This video was absolutely brilliant! (no pun intended). I'm usually reluctant to watch "Productivity" because most of it is repetitive sentences with no structure or clear "guide" to really do anything. But this video right here, I actually ended up pulling out my notebook and a pen, wrote down keywords and sentences, drew out the graphs so I can better understand them. Definitely gave me clarity and insight. Thank you, Freedom In Thought!!

These are supposed to be hot air and platitudes not actual practical help. I'm glad you didn't get the memo. Thank you for tangible ideas, not just 'inspiration porn'. Truly.
