Fascinating to hear him speak so fondly of something most British people hold dear, The National Health Service.
The more I've listen to Chaplin, the more I'm astounded of his intellectual vocabulary abilities to capture the audiences attention. Its quiet remarkable that isn't there more of him speaking on Utube?
I adore charlie ❤️ thank you for this ... another opportunity to hear his voice
You can see and believe what he means when he says he’s always been a very shy man as he wasn’t the kind of person to write a speech ahead of time, he liked to be spontaneous just how he made his movies without a script. Indeed a perfectionist at all he did to accompany his genius. A very admirable lovable person. ❤❤❤ you can see his love for people in his films.
Charlie chaplin was pure genius.
Absolutely
THE genius.
What a charming man…
Knowing that Chaplin came from an extremely poor upbringing makes me look at his art and achievements with much appreciation
It's very amazing to listen Mr chaplain
Mr. Charles Spencer Chaplin!😊
He was a terribley intelligent educated man no doubt. Very sensitive. And truly cared about people.

Charlie would have made a hell of a motivational speaker!

Hearth of England . So great
Wonderful man. Even mentions his part gypsy heritage. I heard he was part Romani.
Greatest genious ever ❤❤❤
Petula Clark had a hit 1960's song, but the words and song were Charlie Chapin...." I care not what the world may say...Without your love there is no day ".
very articulate and charming, so much smoking though
6:46 Dude’s reaction to what Charlie said😂
He is also a time traveller from dark ages of no light Bulb no aeroplane and No Movie Camera to Colored high tech life . He also mentioned it humbly " bcz I am a gypsy".
ON HIS MOM'S SIDE OF THE FAMILY👨👩👧👦!
a bygone Era to remember.... only fwq scattered memories rememerd. But they enquanqrable.
The original GOAT
For as bad as his childhood allegedly was he speaks like he was well educated.
I think his speaking got more refined with age
He was self-taught, a voracious reader of books ranging from world literature and philosophy to the “hard sciences,” and was equally gifted as a composer despite not being able to read a note of music.
@@jimdrake-writerSO TRUE ABOUT CHARLIE CHAPLIN!😮
Well said jimdrake. Just what I was thinking.
It’s very moving, heartwarming to be able to see and “hear” him as ‘himself’ and watch his reaction at all the love poured at him. “There are no words to introduce him, we all know and love him” that would be Very very touching for him. I’d love to see his last 2 feature films.
One should remember the reason he was in England in 1952 in the first place, thanks to yet another overzealous and unconscionable case of provincialism from a reactionary United States government. What the US did to him wasn’t only unforgivable, it was unnecessary.
You're probably one of the few people commenting here who is aware of Chaplin's circumstances in 1952. Of course Britain would still deal with rationing for another year and he makes reference to the sacrifices.
@@tub43 Yes, it was a hellish time for Chaplin, yet here he speaks of optimism. And the words he spoke about socialized medicine have never been truer.
He seemed so young in the 20s and seems so old here, strange.
its a 30 year difference man what do you expect
@@alexm2136YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!😊
He’s 63!
This may have been right after he was banned from the US.
If only Charlie knew back then that one day, London and jolly old England would become an islamic hellhole.
What good is socialised medicine with a piss poor diet
The only one Carlitos
