Spencer, the last year of my life has been very difficult, there are days when I could hardly get out of bed. I connected with your grandfather and through his movies he got me through my days. I have sat here and laughed and forgot my troubles. What a talented, wonderful, gentle soul he was. Thank you for this tour of his home, I truly enjoyed it.

Charlie Chaplin has helped me through feeling lonely and down. My disk drive is broken on my laptop, so I'm unable to watch my Charlie chaplin dvds. So was actually looking on here to watch something of Charlie chaplins. I ended up watching this and was amazed! I love your grandad in Limelight. 💖

Claire, if I may butt in. I’m mobility challenged. I survived a suicide attempt at Terry Ambrose’s age. I became a carer and thought that if the person I cared for left me I would attempt suicide again, but instead my life and career flourished. To say I relate to Limelight is an understatement-it restored my will to live, which was tenuous at best. I am pleased that it had a positive effect on your mental health as well. Keep fighting!

You’re not alone. Charlie Chaplin came into my life, and suddenly, I found myself smiling again, even in the darkest moments. It's remarkable how his presence, through his music, shorts, and even his audio-biography, fills my days with warmth and inspiration. Charlie Chaplin is more than just an icon; he's a true miracle, a beacon of hope that continues to shine brightly in my life.

I want to say because of Charlie I was the black sheep growing up in the 80s. On Friday nights Disney Channel played silent films and I would laugh and forget the times I was bullied at school. Your family has helped so many find their smile....

    Hey Spencer!!
Remember me??.. That guy who arranged your first guitar, give you tips on how to negate Laura's torture and games.
I followed your musical travels with pride. I also walked around the Manoir as they were renovating. The weeds were so tall I screamed out "Olivier!!"
Many memories I have living there watching you grow from a little boy, to a fine young man!!
The memories are so dear to me that something in me cannot go see the museum (which I just did, thanks!!), but I need to preserve things as I remembered with the families, Henry, Leroy's stines malade, tickling Kevin, and many more dear memories.
I have been back in Switzerland for a few years, but low key due to circumstances. I hope to see you before I go as this is my last hurrah.
I will go to the museum before leaving though. It is only fitting having sat with Eugene as the people involved with the museum discussing details.
It was a true privilege to live with you all, walk the halls of your grandfather, and much more.
I thank you all for such an experience...truly.
Say hello to Kiera for me please... She I think of often...I hope she forgives me.
Take care my man, and hope that we meet before I leave.
    Blessings. 🙏🏿🕊️

Thank you so much for showing us this lovely home. We have a vast collection of British comedian Sid Field. I know Sir Charlie Chaplin was a huge admirer of Sid's and invited him to his parties. Would you know of there were any photographs of Sir Charles and Sid together? We have searched high and low but have not been successful.

Merci beaucoup. I had an enjoyable time visiting the mansion et home of Sir Charles Chaplin. Eugene has Charlie facial structure y even small hands of his dad. Yet his eyes were Oona s. Someone had done a really precise job in making the mannequins. I thought Switzerland spoke German, Italian et french. Yet things were labeled in French especially at the doorway. Was french their chosen language to speak. Haunted huh....what kind of other paranormal things took place under the Chaplin roof. How did the woman die. What year was the mansion built. What is the history of the house. People debate Charlie Chaplin Jewish. I see it. I'm Jewish. The pictures were also entertaining. Again, merci beaucoup. ---- a Charlie Chaplin fan from Massachusetts, USA.

Hello Sir am SN in short form since my name would be a bit too long, hailing from the city of Calcutta which is also the home of another legend Satyajit Ray. I was spellbound to see this video which was narrated by the great legends son and grandson. I started watching his films way back in 1973/74 and even now at sixty enjoy the same way I did back then. A genius of all geniuses. Thank you so much for this clip.

I enjoyed this video very much. I can clearly see through Eugene what wonderful parents Charlie and Oona were. It seems they gave their children an exciting and loving life. I'm sure it tugs at his heart to be in the house. When my parents died, it was hard for me to sell their home. Anyway, it was a lovely video about Chaplin family home. Thank you for sharing!

i loved your grandfather! i still remember where i was when i heard he passed , I was 8 years old playing in my home hallway and i got sooo sad, that was the first time i felt death . I visited Chaplins World the year it open and i walked around the park in owe thinking i was seeing and i was walking on his steps... I visited the house first and i though that was it, i almost didn't go to the exhibit, there was quite a line, thinking it was only a short documentary and i seen them all, why bother... and then the curtains open and it was incredible! i had a blast. Thank you to you and your family for this gift of this amazing museum.
