Happy Monday guys! Just wanted to clarify something, the Bullitt Mustang will be replaced in 2021 by the Mustang MACH 1, NOT the Mach E. The Mach E is the all-electric version heading the dealers this month while the Mach 1 uses the same 5.0L N/A V8 with 480 HP. Just goes to show you Ford's naming can get a little too similar at times! Sorry for the confusion! Also, we filmed this video back in August and are playing a little catch up with some older reviews in the queue.
I love LOVE LOVE my 2019. There's no difference in 2019/2020 I think, I picked up my 2019 in Feb 2020 for a discount and even during covid this has been a beast of a daily driver, as well as impressed me on a track in OH. Getting ready to put my winter tires on this week and go through the winter! Also, mileage-wise, after quarantine I've been getting 18-20mpg on my commute to work and on an OH-GA and OH-ND roadtrips, I've gotten 26-28.5mpg, not too shabby for a 5L!!
Glad you jumped in with that. I was about to straighten you out about the Mach 1 being the Bullitt engine's new home, of course not the all- electric Mach E. Then again I heard the 480 hp Mach 1 engine is not identical to the Bullitt's. The Mach 1 uses other parts to net its 480hp. What can you say about that?

Something about it comes together amazingly, the sound, the power, the manual transmission, the styling all of these make it special in a way that it's even better than the sum of these parts.
The Bullitt is the total package for a fun daily driver that’s got a different look from all other Mustangs. The Bullitt looks nothing like a sleeper. I own a 2019 one. It attracts so much attention no fartcan with badges and spoilers ever would. Ford nailed the looks of the Bullitt pretty much perfectly.
I own a 2019 also and actually goes somewhat unnoticed. Have gotten a handful of "nice car" comments, but nothing crazy, probably about 5 times in my 10 months of ownership
I have a '19 Bullitt and it is the FINEST car I ever owned. I will NEVER drive another car EVER! 12:00. That's what a piloting experience is all about. Get one!
He didn't go into customization of them much, but you can set it independent of driving mode. The "track" mode (for the cluster that is) is just a straight line across the entire gauge. When I took my Bullitt to the track 3 months ago, it was actually super helpful, along with the TrackApps such as timer, G-meter, etc.
Can’t wait for the Mach-One. Same great engine with an actually reliably transmission that also happens to feel amazing (same as the V6 1LE camaro AND the GT350/R). And it’s the same price as the current Bullit... interesting 🤔
I've picked my 2019 up in Feb 2020. It has been an AMAZING daily driver and I've taken it to a track once, where it's done wonderfully even in stock settings. I'm getting ready to put winter tires on mine for my OH daily driving. No way I'm garaging this thing over winter, the cold starts with the exhaust in track mode are the only soundtrack I ever need!
@@calebbomar1395 We do and we don't, I'm SW OH, so fairly mild-ish. We had our first snow last week, lasted about a day, since then it's been low 40s, low 30s. I keep getting asked this question. To me, I get my joy out of a daily drive, out of every time I get inside this. My wife and I have 2 total vehicles, so I don't really have a choice in not driving this, either. To me an idea of a $2k-3k beater for the winter, in which I won't enjoy the drive, isn't worth it. I feel I'd always think "oh I wish I was in my Bullit." I get some get it to be a collectible or whatever, but I wanna drive the heck out of it Plus, dedicated set of good winter tires, I reckon I'll do vastly better than AWD SUVs with half the tread life left on their all-seasons. :)
You mentioned the B&O sound system. I have a Bullitt and an Audi s7. The B&O cost &5k upgrade in the Audi and comes standard in Canada in the Ford. The Ford defiantly sounds better especially the base. The main difference is how loud the Ford is even in quite mode.
I love how the dash displays "NO" when the driver starts it. Kind of intimidating, almost as if it's telling you, "No, you aren't qualified to handle this kind of power". (Yes, I suspect that the N is displayed on a compass, and O is actually a 0, but I'm still amused).
lol everything Sofyan doesn't like about this vehicle I love... No badges and the slick green color make it look like no other vehicle. In a world of "look at me" Civic Type R wings and pop pop pop exhausts this thing just goes the opposite way. I would want to debadge the bullet logo on the back.
I love my '19 Bullitt. I've actually seen some people remove that decklid panel, you can get all kinds of options. Mine's a sleeper and only people that know their Mustangs know what this is. I get a decent amount of random people rolling their window down and saying "nice car."
@@richardnavratil9661 It's definitely very nice... A classy, stylish looking Mustang; kinda like the Aston Martin of Mustangs. Muscular yet sleek. A naturally aspirated V8; that's hard to top, imo... There's nothing really like the thunderous, visceral grunt of an American V8.
@@carlosmorris4510 Yup, exactly. My wife actually liked this as much as I did and she's not much into cars. We thought about the Challenger, but she didn't like that one at all. She (and I) really like that this is sort of "gentleman's Mustang." Not really meaning anything bad by it, just the fact that it's not loud blue or orange etc., and again, nothing wrong with that, but this inspires a certain "class."
Front end side view and back all are beautiful. The interior looks cool with black leather and green stitching. White cue ball shifter is the cherry on top! Pushing the start button wakes up the beast! It’s just a terrific driver’s car!
The Ford Mustang gives you an idea on how electric and old school cars like this will be able to co-exist. To be able to live under emission caps, they have made the Mustang into a premium product, decreasing sales, increasing revenue and keeping the brand alive, actually making it more exclusive. Same way a mechanical watch became a premium product to co-exist with a Casio. People will be able to buy a naturally aspirated 5L engine but they'll have to pay more for it.
I'd very much disagree. I have had my 2019 Bullitt since Feb 2020, loved every minute of it. Daily commute (although Mar-Aug not much of commuting) and two major road trips totaling of about 3k miles, it's been a wonder vehicle, versatile. Oh, and it kicked a*s on track too. I get it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's much more than just a couple hours of fun.
@@richardnavratil9661 No issues with that at all. I bet it's a real fun car. Tons of value too. Not knocking it. I'm more of a cruise control while sitting in a Lazy-Boy comfort Escalade type. Towing a boat, transporting kids and a dog I don't have a lot to choose from. Still enjoy the reviews.
Disagree. I have had my 2019 Bullitt since August 2019 and I am still completely in love with this thing. Every time I start it up it feels special. It does long trips very well, too. Put it in quiet mode and it is smooth and comfortable, no fatigue after a 7-hour highway drive.
Really sad they won't continue to produce this in to 2023. I won't be able to purchase one until around then and it'll be rough having to go second-hand to experience this awesome car.
I actually found a '19 in late december of 2020 with 450 miles on it. Magneride, rocoro seats, upgraded electronics pkg, the works. Perhaps there was some early covid panic, + end of the calendar year, + they had a shelby GT 350 to put in it's place in the showroom... $41750! I think i did pretty well. And was probably pretty lucky too!
Great review! Had two Ford’s with Sync 3 and both of them had issues with CarPlay. A lot of time the screen would completely black out and would require a full vehicle restart. Hopefully it’s fixed with the new Sync.
Just saw a new 2018 GT350 for a little less than $54K on Autotrader. Still a lot of money, but also a lot more capable car. The 2018 also has a rather subtle rear spoiler compared to the GT350R, or 2019 the GT350.
Yeah, this is becoming tempting. Note that a one-off discount car most certainly comes with strings attached or additional fees. Plus the 5.2 has known risks so it will be less reliable to own for any period of time. So there are pluses and minuses.
@@nsbioy I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase a new 2018 GT350 in August of 2020. The dealer was great, no games, and the advertised price of $53K was the price for the car. OTD for about $56.6K. I had to drive it 1300 miles to my next job site, and it was an awesome first trip, despite the Recaro seats. The trip computer showed 24.2 mpg, it was closer to 22.5 mpg, but still good. You won't know until you contact the dealer.
@@nsbioy Would absolutely agree. It's soft and pliable (as much as you can say that about a Mustang I guess) on daily commutes and long trips, but can be tossed around on a track like I've done in September.
I love mine. It's such a sleeper most people actually don't know what it is. Until I start it with open exhaust mode, I get a few head turns at the gas station. Freaking love mine
My 2010 Ford F-150 has embarrasing fuel milage. It's a tiny 4.6 V-8. Runs great, but it is a gas hog. Just really sucks. I still love my truck. NH truck which has never seen salt or sand because I winter in South Florida. The truck only has 5,000 miles on it. It's a 4X4. Towing package and trim upgrade with cloth seats and massive arm rest.
Wow all these SUVS get boring some point of time haha. I would like to see the regular mustang in its next generation instead of just replacing it with an electric SUV.
Chinese people love mustangs? Cool. We dig them in america too. If you want a 2 plus 2 muscle car the bullets a nice choice if a bit pricey. Not sure Id drop the cash for the bullet and just go for the GT which is a bit less. Normally I prefer GM vehicles so this video did open my eyes to what ford is offering these days. Thanks for posting up
Ford always had and always will have issues that are small and inconvenient. Yet the dealer will always act like nothing is wrong and Ford will refuse to do recalls. Mainly because most of their cars already have more than 5 recalls... just a mess that’s very expensive right off the bat and depreciates by the second.
They are not replacing it with the ford Mach e. They are replacing it with the Mach 1 the mach e is an suv that will be powered by electricity .Do your homework
I guess I’m a bit confused you used the word pure but you tend to be a fan of the drivers aid that car manufacturers offer. There’s nothing pure about that. The manual gearbox is going away because people are getting lazy and are being dumbed down because of said drivers aids.
Yeah, I agree with you. I traded my '18 Accord 2.0t manual in to get my '19 Bullitt. In the Accord, it had everything, even adaptive cruise for a stick shift, but you couldn't switch to normal cruise. The "only" thing my Bullitt has is blind spot monitoring, which is nice, but no other stuff really, to me a perfect balance of pure, yet offers added safety on highway or parking lots/backing out of spaces.
Unless Bullitt the movie screams at u, 52 is step for this car. U are in new GT350 and above used Gt350 Territory. They look and song good in person but new cars that are clean and shiny tend do that. U can into a Brand New GT for ~30k and prolly under if research enough and find a leftover on a lot. I don't you'll need 5k to make it perform, look, and sound as good as this car
You def are not in new GT350 territory. I paid under 50k for my '19 Bullitt and GT350 was at least $10k above. MSRP of base GT350 is now $59k, arguably less equipped with "only" 46 or so ponies less. If rarity is what you're going for, I've only seen one other Bullitt in my life, while seeing a few 350s.
@@richardnavratil9661 10k is close enough for me to say I'll pass on the bullitt for a Gt350. The Bullitt doesn't look better than a GT350, it sure as hell doesn't sound better than a GT350, and it's gonna depreciate worse than a GT350. For those reasons I would chose a Gt350 over a Bullitt
@@bla9ckcob5ra Understandable. For me it was the little more subtle looks that I went for, didn't want wings, etc., all that, and of course GT350 was too much. But, in addition, I don't think you can get some of the same equipment such as cooled seats and BLIS etc in the 350, but maybe I'm wrong. I don't need all the nannies, but blind spot stuff I do like.
IMO, if they're going with the Bullitt name/theme, they should have re-created the body-style to replicate, dare I say it, the real-deal Steve McQueen 68' Bullitt Mustang. This estrogen inspired, euro-esque Mustang is an insult to the Bullitt name itself. They should name it the Ford "Clitoris."
Other than aesthetics I don’t get the obsession with a “flat bottom” steering wheel. It does nothing to aid performance. If I understand the history properly flat bottom steering wheels were to help drivers in full race suits that had to also climb in over stiff high sided and bolstered race seats and they needed the room to get their legs in under the steering wheel before racing car steering wheels were made to be removable.
"But mah sporty looks!" :) Yeah, I get you. In my 2019 Bullitt, flat bottom would look weird. That big rim of the steering wheel actually mimics old school muscle cars with huge steering wheels.

I think this car resonates with the older generation who remember Steve McQueen and the movie.
Matt Maran Motoring has entered the chat
I have a '19 Bullitt and it is the FINEST car I ever owned. I will NEVER drive another car EVER! 12:00. That's what a piloting experience is all about. Get one!
I love this car, and I'm really going to miss this type with everything going to turbo 4 cylinders with no sound or character.
That V8 has a proper noise.
I don’t think Mach-E is a replacement for Bullit, Mach-E is just leveraging the Mustang Goodwill to sell a new type CUV
Yeah he corrected himself in the pinned comment on top. :)
@@richardnavratil9661 He's still nevertheless a RuPaul fanboy who knows absolutely nothing about Mustangs nor muscle cars for that matter lol.
Such a great car, truly a dying breed. Would pick one up if I could.
You wouldn't regret it, neither do I! :) Love mine
The breed wouldn't die so much if people actually did.
5:28 look how beautiful this is I wished they put these on the 2017 mustang
He didn't go into customization of them much, but you can set it independent of driving mode. The "track" mode (for the cluster that is) is just a straight line across the entire gauge. When I took my Bullitt to the track 3 months ago, it was actually super helpful, along with the TrackApps such as timer, G-meter, etc.
It's a travesty to replace NA V8 RWD 6MT coupe icon with electrical SUV and give it the same name.
It’s not being replaced though..
The Mach 1 is the replacement for this, not the Mach E. He made the correction in the first comment.
Im earlier than when you got the new rav 4 prime......love redline to start my morning....
One of the Greatest car chase scenes in all filmdom Ford mustang vs dodge charger
Yeah I would definitely get one of these. I like that color and that glorious v8 rumble
Working at the car wash I gotta say the new gen mustang is so clean and I didn’t like it at all at first . It’s lines are similar to the m8 comp
That’s all thats similar.
It’s really crazy how this engine platform can put out 700Hp+ just N/A
10:00 absolutely that's why I went out and bought one! :)
Why wouldn't you garage it? Don't you get a fair amount of snow in OH
I feel I'd always think "oh I wish I was in my Bullit." I get some get it to be a collectible or whatever, but I wanna drive the heck out of it
Plus, dedicated set of good winter tires, I reckon I'll do vastly better than AWD SUVs with half the tread life left on their all-seasons. :)
You mentioned the B&O sound system. I have a Bullitt and an Audi s7. The B&O cost &5k upgrade in the Audi and comes standard in Canada in the Ford. The Ford defiantly sounds better especially the base. The main difference is how loud the Ford is even in quite mode.
No soft limiter! Nice sound! 😊
The round steering wheel is kept because of the original car from the late '60s. You got to keep some things the same other than the color
I love how the dash displays "NO" when the driver starts it. Kind of intimidating, almost as if it's telling you, "No, you aren't qualified to handle this kind of power".
(Yes, I suspect that the N is displayed on a compass, and O is actually a 0, but I'm still amused).
I think the “N” is gear indicator, “neutral,” but yeah, it’s just warning you!
lol everything Sofyan doesn't like about this vehicle I love...
Got to drive one yesterday. Badass af
Super hot and fucking badass car right there, man. No doubt.
i think the frontend looks great
Front end side view and back all are beautiful.
Will you be doing an in-depth comparison between the Genesis GV80 and a Q7 or X5 like you did with the Palisade and Telluride?
Awesome review Sofyan!
Just like a jetski. Fun to beat on for an hour, then give it back.
@@342boss Understand your point and nothing wrong with that. I guess different strokes for different folks. :)
Nice review. I drove a 2021 GT premium a few months ago and was pretty impressed overall.
Maybe it's just me but this looks like what a Fusion coupe would have looked like
News flash "The Bullitt is being replaced by the MachE". What are you talking about?!
Meant to say Mach 1 I guess
They aren't replacing the bullitt with anything. The bullitt has always ran for 1-2 years of production. It is a limited edition car .
Really sad they won't continue to produce this in to 2023. I won't be able to purchase one until around then and it'll be rough having to go second-hand to experience this awesome car.
I love the gauge cluster and the bullit badge I wish they had a pony version
Lot of those badges (like the one on the trunk lid) are very easy to replace in the aftermarket for whatever you want, ~$150
Low Miles Bullit with Magneride is about 47k currently, Comp MACH 1 is about 58k, which would you get? Pre 2018 Gt350 is around 54k.
@@billwebster4760 I ended up buying a Bullitt and selling it for a 22 Supra! I did love the Mustang, Bullitt was a great car!
Great review! Had two Ford’s with Sync 3 and both of them had issues with CarPlay. A lot of time the screen would completely black out and would require a full vehicle restart. Hopefully it’s fixed with the new Sync.
2023 Wish They Made It with 10- Speed Automatic, Too. I Guess I'll Get the GT.
1:45 "..This engine will live on of course, in the Mustang Mach-E..." You sure about that one, Bud?
Love my 2019 bullitt. Looks great. Not too garish. My mileage is about 22mpg. But who cares about mileage if you're gonna drive this?
My 2012 V6 redlines at around 7k or 7,100. Maybe mustangs are just built like that? Is 7k considered high rev?
Great video. I really enjoyed it.
golden era of driving..............................the bullitt..
Refresh was in 2018
Comon Ford, give us a BRZ/86 sized sports car with the 2.3 EB powertrain.
The clutch is heavy? LOL.
Sofyan: I need to sell my fucking Mustang!
Me: No, you need to throw it in the fucking trash!
This review is like a year too late. You can't find these on the dealership lots anymore.
I'd argue that might not be the case. I got my 2019 in Feb 2020 and there's still some around for sure.
@@richardnavratil9661 Maybe an odd one here or there. Three available Florida from what I can see.
It’s a beast but it sucks being stuck in California traffic. Not easy to keep your foot out of it but then that’s not why I got it.
The refresh was in '18 not '19 :)
Mach ONE son,NOT Mach E! The Mach E is ELECTRIC!!!
The only thing I don't like about these new cars is the stupid digital screen gauges. I really miss real mechanical gauges.
Love this bulliet
You mean the mach 1
52k? Pass. Rather save a bit more and buy a leftover GT350.
When I bought my '19 Bullitt (at a discount in Feb 2020), the GT350 was easily $10k above that. Unless you're talking used?
@@richardnavratil9661 same for me. GT350 is a more special car, but the Bullitt is a more balanced car to own all things considered.
@@nsbioy Would absolutely agree. It's soft and pliable (as much as you can say that about a Mustang I guess) on daily commutes and long trips, but can be tossed around on a track like I've done in September.
That's the point it's suppose to be a sleeper, and the "running horse" is a Mustang....lol
Sick looking car 🚘 👍
I love mine. It's such a sleeper most people actually don't know what it is. Until I start it with open exhaust mode, I get a few head turns at the gas station. Freaking love mine
Would you please consider reviewing classic cars like old muscle cars? Don’t limit yourself to new cars, classic cars need love too
What’s up with the wires on the back of the rear view camera? Is that normal for a mustang? Not that it matters really but it looks pretty tacky.
My mustang from 2015 has this same sound
Why didn't they paint the wheels a flat grey like the orig and the McQueen limited?
Trans issues and Ford not leasing anything above GTs "people beat on the and return them" made this a no buy for me.
You were not going to buy it anyways. If you are rich enough to lease, you can afford to buy for sure.
I have the 2019 Mustang bullitt and I'm getting 16mpg city and 24 highway when I'm not having fun
It will live on in the Mustang Mach 1. Not E which is SUV electric car. The Mach 1 is the new 5.0 with 480 hp etc etc,
Just saw your clarification! Sorry.
MATT WHERE YOU AT????
Couldn't agree more, this car looked so much better before the nose job...this front end looks hideous!
In my country (China🇨🇳) a lot of gold diggers love this car 😂they are probably attracted by exterior that how cool & stylish the car is 😅
@Johnson Long everyone care about my country besides u..
I Wish I Could Get a 2022 Mustang GT in Highland Green / 10-Speed Auto. I Can Dream, Can't I? (smile)
do you have any info on the 2022 civic?
This guy is more cut to review RuPaul Drag Races
No doubt! The guy knows absolutely nothing about cars whatsoever and referred to the 2021 Mach 1 as the 2021 Mach-E lol.
Agreed! Don’t like the front fascia. Looks fleet.
What’s a manual transmission?
It's Mach 1. Not Mach E. Just saying
So cheap of ford to use a ford fusion grill on this car
IMO, if they're going with the Bullitt name/theme, they should have re-created the body-style to replicate, dare I say it, the real-deal Steve McQueen 68' Bullitt Mustang. This estrogen inspired, euro-esque Mustang is an insult to the Bullitt name itself. They should name it the Ford "Clitoris."
The future is now old man
Other than aesthetics I don’t get the obsession with a “flat bottom” steering wheel.
