I have done 31 cruises. The thing that surprised me at the start was that, in the main dining room, you can order more than 1 starter. I often have 2, or even 3, starters instead of a main course. Cruising has changed so much since my first cruise in 1992 - some things for the better, some for the worse.
I've just got off P&O Arvia couldn't believe how many passengers were dressed for gala night it was absolutely brilliant. I love dressing up for formal night ❤
I did my second cruise last year (with a 20 year gap between cruises). I would say the pampering actually surprised me the second time (did not get it at nearly the same level the first time). The size of the cruise cabins and the large amount of food available (which was great as a teenager) did shock me the first time.
Our First Cruise was Great but We Learn a TON .....Our Cabin was Forward with a Port Hold and in the am the ANCOR CHAIN going out What a WAKE-UP ...And the Wife & I took turns Standing on the Bed to lookout the Port Hatch ..We Learn the HARD WAY ..
I went on my first ever cruise with Princess to Alaska in September. We never had ONE towel animal the whole 7 days. Both of us gained 5 lbs each though!! haha
I just had my first cruise. I didn’t know about casinos being closed, but I don’t gamble so it wasn’t a problem. My cruise was all inclusive on a small ship so the beverage package wasn’t a concern. However, I thought some people were drinking a ridiculous amount of alcohol. I was annoyed about the WiFi and felt duped by this. My cruise line, Regent Seven Seas, didn’t do towel animals. We did have a no jeans or shorts rule after 6pm, which meant I got room service one night when I was too tired to dress and put on makeup. I was annoyed that I was set up by my cruise line who booked me on a flight that required me to disembark at 3 am. Next time, I’m booking my own flights, because while on the cruise I learned the cruise line doesn’t help if your flight cancels. I did have a wonderful cruise experience, though. I was so glad I spent the extra money for a small ship. I saw the large ships had huge group tours, full buses and long lines. That would have been very difficult for me. I definitely think it’s better to do 1 small ship cruise versus 2 large ship cruises. Large ships look like floating malls to me.
Question.. did the cruiselines include tips into stated price of bev pkg or specialty dining ?? In past they add the tip to the cost, just wondered.. thanks!!
Ok I have a stupid question. Unfortunately I heave not been on a cruise YET but I am looking forward to the first one. My question is about the towel animals. Can you keep them?
First time, leaving soon. I hear horror stories about charges place on account when not doing the charges ex: putting drinks or added gratuity when already prepaid on bill. When not drank em or when returned towels and was billed for towels 25.00. Is this a regular thing?

Seasoned cruiser here, but I watched this video anyway. Love your content and delivery! Keep it coming Jayson!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Seasoned cruiser here. Our first was amazing. We were so surprised how big the ship was and all the things they had to do like a floating resort.

The carnival celebration was my first cruise and walking on that ship felt so amazing. I fell in love with cruising.

Yes, smaller all-inclusive cruises are nice, but you pay as LOT more for them

Hi
Can I take Starlink on the ship? thanks
No. There was a recent story about a guy who got busted for bringing his on board.

First rule of cruising: No balcony, no cruise. :)
I book interiors because the price difference is many times a cost of a flight
